¹⁶ The fathers shal not dye for the chyldren nor the children for the fathers: but euery man shal dye for his awne synne.

⁵ And as sone as the kyngedome was setteled in hys hande, he slue hys seruauntes that kylled the kyng hys father. ⁶ But the chyldren of those murtherars he slue not, as it is written in the boke of the lawe of Moses, where the Lorde commaunded sayinge: the fathers shall not dye for the childrens cause, nor the chyldren for the deades of theyr fathers: But euerye man shalbe slayne for hys owne synne.

⁴ But he slue not theyr chyldren as it is wrytten in the lawe, euen in the boke of Moses to whome the Lord commaunded saying: the fathers shall not dye for the childrens causes, nor the chyldren for the fathers, but euery man shall dye for hys owne synne.

²⁹ Then shall it no more be sayde: the fathers haue eaten a sower grape, and the chyldrens teeth are set on edge: ³⁰ for euerye one shall dye for his owne misdede, so that who so eateth a sower grape, hys teeth shalbe set on edge.

²⁰ The same soule that synneth, shall dye. The sonne shal not beare the fathers offence, neyther shall the father beare the sonnes offence. The ryghteousnes of the righteous shalbe vpon him, and the wickednes of the wycked shalbe vpon him selfe also.
