¹ If ye be then rysen agayn with Christ seke those thinges which are aboue where Christe sitteth on the right hand of God. ² Set youre affeccion on thinges that are aboue, and not on thinges, which are on the earth. ³ For ye are dead and youre lyfe is hid with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ which is our life, shal shew him selfe then shal ye also appere wyth him in glorye. ⁵ Mortifie therfore, youre members whiche are on the earth, fornicacion, vnclenes, vnnatural, lust euil concupiscence, and couetousnesse, which is worshippinge of Idolles, ⁶ for which thynges sakes the wrathe of God commeth on the chyldren of vnbeliefe. ⁷ In whyche thinges ye walked ones, when ye liued in them. ⁸ But now put ye also awaye from you all thinges, wrath, fearnes, maliciousnes, cursed speaking fylthy speaking out of your mouthes. ⁹ Lye not one to another, that the olde man wyth hys workes be put of, ¹⁰ and the newe put on, whiche is renued in knowledge after the ymage of hym, that made hym ¹¹ where is neyther Gentile nor Iew, circumcysion nor vncircumcision, Barbarous or Sythian, bond or fre: but Christ is all in al thinges. ¹² Nowe therfore as electe of God, holy and beloued, put on tender mercye, kyndnes, humblenes of mindes, meaknes, longe sufferynge, ¹³ forbearing one another, and forgeuing one another, yf anye man haue a quarel to another, euen as Christe forgaue you, euen so do ye. ¹⁴ Aboue all these thynges put on loue, which is the bond of perfectnes. ¹⁵ And the peace of God rule in your hertes, to the which peace ye are called in one bodye. And se that ye be thankfull. ¹⁶ Let the word of Christ dwell in you plenteouslye in all wysdome. Teache and exhorte youre owne selues, in psalmes, and hymnes, and spirituall songes, whiche haue fauoure with them, singinge in your hertes to the Lorde. ¹⁷ And all thinges (whatsoeuer ye do in word or dede) do it in the name of the Lorde Iesu geuinge thankes to God the father by hym. ¹⁸ Wyues submitte youre selues vnto youre owne husbandes, as it is comly in the Lorde. ¹⁹ Husbandes loue your wyues, and be not bitter vnto them. ²⁰ Chyldren obey your fathers & mothers in all thinges, for that is wel pleasynge vnto the Lorde. ²¹ Fathers, rate not your children, leaste they be of a desperate mynde. ²² Seruauntes, be obediente vnto your bodelye maisters in al thinges, not wyth eye seruice as men pleasers, but in synglenes of herte fearinge God. ²³ And what soeuer ye do, do it hertelye as though ye dyd it to the Lord, and not vnto men ²⁴ for as muche as ye know that of the Lorde ye shall receiue the reward of inheritaunce, for ye serue the Lorde Christ. ²⁵ But he that doeth anye wronge, shall receiue for the wronge that he hath done, for there is no respect of persons wyth God.

¹⁷ Se that ye know no man in Iudgement: but heare the small as well as the greate & be afrayed of no man, for the iudgment is Gods. And the cause that is to harde for you, bryng vnto me and I will heare it.

⁶ And these wordes which I commande the thys daye, shall be in thyne hert ⁷ & thou shalt whett theim on thy children. & shalt talke of theim when thou arte at home in thyne house, and as thou walkeste by the way, and when thou lyest downe and when thou rysest vp: ⁸ and thou shalt bynd them for a sygne vpon thyne hande. ¹⁷ For the Lord your God, he is god of Goddes, and Lorde of Lordes, a greate God, a myghty and a terrible whych regardeth no mans person, nor taketh giftes:

⁸ As for death, he shal vtterly consume it. The Lord God shall wype awaye teares from all faces, & take away the confusion of his people thorow the whole worlde. For the lord hym selfe hath sayde it. ⁹ At the same tyme shall it be sayde: lo, thys is oure God in whom we put oure trust, and he hath healed vs. This is the Lorde that we haue wayted for. Let vs reioyse and delyte in hys health.

³ And thou, whiche art the doar & hast the matter in hand, shalt prouyde for peace, euen the peace that men hope for in the.

²⁹ But ye shall synge, as the vse is in the night of the holy solempnyte. Ye shall reioyse from youre herte, as they that come with the pype, when they go vp to the mounte of the Lorde, vnto the rocke of Israel.

⁴ & that for Iacob my seruauntes sake and for Israel my chosen. For I called the by thy name, & ordened the or euer thou knewest me:

⁶ Let it be but a smal thynge, that thou arte my seruaunte, to set vp the kynredes of Iacob, & to restore the destruccyon of Israel: yf I make the not also the light of the Gentiles. that thou mayest be my helthe vnto the ende of the worlde.

¹ Vp Syon vp, take thy strengthe vnto the: put on thyne honeste rayment O Ierusalem, thou citie of the holye one. For from thys tyme forthe, there shall no vncyrcumcysed nor vncleane person come in the.

⁴ Wherin take ye your pleasure? Vpon whom gape ye with your mouth and bleare out your tonge? Are ye not children of aduoutry, and a sede of dissimulacion?

¹⁵ For thus sayeth the hye and excellent, euen he that dwelleth in euerlastingnesse, whose name is the holy one. I dwell hye aboue & in the sanctuary, and with him also, that is of a contrite & humble spirite: that I maye heale a troubled mind, & a contrite hert.

¹⁹ I make the frutes of thankesgeuynge. I geue peace vnto them that are farre of, and to them that are nye. saye I the Lord, that make hym whole.

The Iles farre of, that haue not hearde speake of me, and haue not sene my glorye, shall preache my prayse amonge the Gentyles, ²⁰ and shall bringe all oure brethren for an offerynge vnto the Lorde, oute of all people vpon horses, charettes and horse litters, vpon Males and cartes to Ierusalem my holy hill (sayeth the Lorde) like as the children of Israel brynge the offerynge in cleane vessels, to the house of the Lorde. ²¹ And I shall take oute certayne of them for to be Pryestes and Leuytes, sayeth the Lorde. ²² For lyke as the newe heauen and the newe earthe whyche I will make, shalbe fast stablyshed by me, (sayeth the Lorde.) So shall youre seade and youre name contynue

¹⁰ Neuerthelesse, her vnfaythfull syster Iuda is not turned vnto me again with ther whole herte, but faynedly, sayeth the Lorde.

³ They bende theyr tunges lyke bowes, to shute oute lyes. As for the trueth, they may nothynge awaye with all in the worlde. For they go from one wyckednes to another, & hold nothinge of me, sayeth the Lorde. ⁴ Yea one must kepe him selfe from another no man maye safely truste his owne brother: for one brother vndermyneth another, & one neyghboure begyleth another. ⁵ Yea one dyssembleth with another, & they deale wyth no trueth. They haue practysed theyr tunges to lye, and taken greate paynes to do myschefe.

¹⁶ When I had found thy wordes, I ate them vp gredely: they haue made my herte ioyfull & glad. For I call vpon thy name, O Lorde God of Hostes.

¹⁹ O Lorde, my strength, my power, and refuge in tyme of trouble. The Gentyles shall come vnto the from the endes of the worlde, and saye: Verely our fathers haue cleued vnto lyes, their Idols are but vayne & vnprofitable.

³ Euen so shall the Lorde nowe also apeare vnto me from farre, & saye: I loue the with an euerlasting loue, therfore do I sprede my mercye before the.

²⁰ Vpon this complainte, I thoughte thus by my selfe: is not Ephraim my deare sonne? Is he not the chylde, with whom I haue had all myrthe and pastyme? For sence the tyme that I fyrst commened with him, I haue him euer in remembraunce: therfore my verye herte dryueth me vnto hym, gladly and louynglye will I haue mercy vpon him, sayth the Lorde.

¹⁹ And I wil geue you one herte, and I wyll plante a newe sprete wythin youre bowels. That stony herte wyll I take oute of youre body, & geue you a fleshy herte:

⁸ Now when I wente by the, & loked vpon the: beholde, thy tyme was come, yea euen the tyme to vowe the. Then spred I my clothes ouer the, to couer thy dishonesty: yea I made an othe vnto the, and maryed my selfe wyth the (sayeth the Lorde God) and so thou becameste myne owne.

⁴⁵ Thou art euen thy mothers owne doughter, that hast cast of her housbande & their children. Yea, thou art the syster of thy systers, whiche forsoke their husbandes and their children. Youre mother is a Cethite, and youre father an Amorite. ⁴⁶ Thyne eldest syster is Samaria, she and her doughters that dwel vpon thy left hande. But thy youngest syster that dwelleth on thy ryght hand, is Sodoma & her doughters.

³¹ Caste awaye from you all your vngodlinesse, that ye haue done: make you new hertes and a new spirit. Wherfore will ye dye, O ye house of Israel?

⁷ In the haue they dispysed father & mother, in the haue they oppressed the straunger, in the haue they vexed the widdowe and the fatherlesse.

²⁶ A new herte also will I geue you, and a new sprete wyll I put into you: As for that stony herte, I wyll take it out of youre body, & geue you a fleshly herte.

²³ I will sowe them vpon earth, for a sede to mine owne selfe, & will haue mercye vpon her, that was without mercy. And to them, which were not my people, I wil say: thou arte my people: and he shal say: thou art my God.

¹² that they maye possesse the remnaunt of Edom, yee & all soch people as call vpon my name wyth them sayeth the Lorde, whyche doeth these thynges.

⁹ But I wyll do the sacryfyce wyth the voyce of thankesgeuynge, and wil paye that I haue vowed: for why? saluacion commeth of the Lorde.

² and the multitude of the Gentyles shall haste them thyther, sayeng: Come lett vs go vp to the hyll of the Lorde, and to the house of the God of Iacob: that he maye teach vs hys wayes, & that we maye walke in hys parthes. For the lawe shall come out of Sion, and the worde of God from Ierusalem,

⁵ Therfore, where as all the people haue walcked euery man in the name of hys owne God, we wyll walcke in the name of oure God for euer and euer.

¹³ The remnaunt of Israel shal do no wyckednes, nor speake lyes, neyther shall there anye disceytful tunge be founde in theyr mouthes. For they shalbe fed, and take theyr reste, and no man shall make them afrayed.

¹¹ At the same tyme there shall manye Heathen cleue to the Lorde, and shall be my people. Thus wyll I dwell in the myddest of the, & thou shalte knowe, that the Lorde of hostes hathe sente me vnto the.

⁵ Speake vnto all the people of the land, & to the priestes, and saye: when ye fasted and mourneth in the .v. & .vij. moneth (now this .lxx. yeares) dyd ye fast vnto me? ⁶ When ye ate also and droncke; dyd ye not eate & drincke for youre owne selues? ⁷ Are not these the wordes which the Lord spake by his prophetes afore tyme, when Ierusalem was yet inhabited & welthy, she and the cities round aboute her: when there dwelt men, both toward the south and in the playne countreyes?

¹⁶ Now the thinges that ye shall do, are these: Speake euery man the truth vnto his neyghboure, execute iudgement trulye, & peaceably within your portes,

²⁰ Thus sayeth the Lorde of hostes: There shal yet come people, and the inhabiters of many cities: ²¹ and they that dwell in one citie, shal go to another sayeng: Vp, let vs go, and pray before the Lord, let vs seke the Lorde of Hostes, I will go with you: ²² yea much people and mightie heathen shall come and seke the Lorde of Hostes at Ierusalem, & to pray before the Lorde. ²³ Thus sayeth the Lorde of Hostes: In that tyme shal ten men (out of al maner of languages of the Gentiles) take one Iew by the hemme of his garment, and saye: we wyl go with you, for we haue hearde, that God is amonge you.

⁶ Should not a sonne honoure his father, & a seruaunte hys mayster? Yf I be now a father, where is mine honoure? Yf I be the Lorde, where am I feared? sayeth the Lord of hostes. Now to you priestes, that despise my name. And yf ye saye: wherin haue we despised thy name:

¹¹ For from the rysynge vp of the sunne vnto the goynge doune of the same, my name is greate amonge the Gentyles: yea, in euery place shall there sacryfice be done, & a cleane meatoffering offered vp vnto my name: for my name is great among the heathen, sayeth the Lorde of hostes.

Euen because that where as the Lorde made a couenaunt betwixt the & the wyfe of thy youth, thou hast despysed her: Yet is she thyne owne companion and maried wife. ¹⁵ So dyd not the one, and yet had he an excellente spirite. What dyd then the one? He sought the sede promised of God. Therfore loke well to your spirit, and let no man despise the wyfe of his youth. ¹⁶ Yf thou hatest her, put her awaye, sayeth the Lord God of Israel, & geue her a clothinge for the scorne, sayeth the Lord of hostes. Loke wel then to your spirit, & despise her not.

¹² Reioyce & be glad, for great is your reward in heauen. For so persecuted they the prophetes which were before your dayes.

²² but I sai vnto yow, whosoeuer is angre wt his brother without a cause shal be in daunger of iudgement. Whosoeuer saieth to his brother Racha, shalbe in daunger of a counsel. But whosoeuer saieth thou fole, shalbe in daunger of hel fire

⁴⁴ But I say vnto you loue your enemies. Blesse theim that cursse you. Do good to them that hate you. Pray for them which doo you wronge and persecute you,

⁴⁶ For if ye loue them, whiche loue you: what rewarde shall ye haue? Doo not the publicanes euen so?

¹ Take hede to your almes, that ye geue it not in the sight of men, to the intent that ye would be sene of them. Or els ye get no rewarde of youre father whyche is in heauen. ² Whensoeuer therfore thou geuest thime almes, thou shalt not make a trompet to be blowen before the, as the hypocrytes do in the synagoges and in the stretes, for to be praised of men. Verely I saye vnto you, they haue their rewarde.

⁵ And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hipocrites are. For they loue to stande and praye in the sinagoges, and in the corners of the stretes, and because they wolde be seane of men. Verely I say vnto you, they haue their rewarde.

¹² And forgeue vs our trespases, euen as we forgeue oure trespasers.

¹⁴ For and if ye shall forgeue other men their trespases, your heauenlye father shall also forgeue you. ¹⁵ But and ye wyll not forgeue men theyr trespases, no more shall your father forgeue your trespases. ¹⁶ Moreouer when ye fast, be not sad as the hipocrites are. For they disfygure their faces, that they myght be sene of men how they fast. Verely I say vnto you, they haue their rewarde.

¹⁹ Se that ye gater you not treasure vpon the earth, where ruste & mothes corrupte, & wher theues breake throughe & steale. ²⁰ But gather ye treasure together in heauen, where neither rust nor mothes corrupt, & where theues neyther breake vp nor yet steale.

²² The lyght of thy body is thine eye. Wherfore if thine eye be single, al thy bodye shalbe full of light.

³³ But rather seke ye first the kyngdome of heauen and the rightuousnes therof, & all these thynge shalbe ministred vnto you.

⁹ For I also my selfe am a man vndre power, & haue soudiers vnder me, & I say to one, go, & he goeth, and to an other come, & he cometh: and to my seruante, do this, he doeth it:

⁴¹ He that receyueth a Prophet in the name of a prophet, shall receyue a prophetes reward. And he that receyueth a righteouse man in the name of a righteous man, shal receyue the rewarde of a righteous man.

²⁵ At that time Iesus aunswered and said: I prayse the, O father Lorde of heauen and earth, because thou hast hid these thinges from the wyse and prudent, and hast opened theim vnto babes:

¹⁸ Beholde my chylde, whom I haue chosen my beloued, in whom my soule delyteth. I wyll put my sprryte on him, and he shall shew iudgement to the gentils. ¹⁹ He shall not striue, he shal not cry neither shal any man hear his voice in the stretes, ²⁰ a brosed rede shalnot he breake, & flaxe the beginneth to burne he shal not quenche, tyll he sende forth iudgemen vnto to victory, ²¹ and in his name shall the gentyls truste.

⁴³ Then shall the iuste men shyne as bryght as the sunne in the kyngdom of theyr father. Whosoeuer hath eares to heare let hym heare.

⁴ For God commaunded saying: honoure thy father and mother, and he that curseth father or mother shall suffre death. ⁵ But ye saye, euery man shal say to hys father or mother: that which thou desirest of me to helpe the with: is geuen to God, ⁶ and so shall he not honour hys father or mother. And thus haue ye made, that the commaundement of God is without effecte, thorow your tradicions.

¹⁹ For out of the hert come euil thoughtes, murther, breakyng of wedlocke, whoredom, thefte, false, witnes bearing, blasphemye.

²³ Then tourned he about and sayd vnto Peeter: come after me Sathan, thou offendest me, because thou sauorest not godly thynges, but worldly thynges.

If he heare the, thou hast wonne thy brother. ¹⁶ But if he heare the not, then take yet with the one or two, that in the mouthe of two or thre witnesses, all thynges may be stablished. ¹⁷ If he heare not them, tell it vnto the congregacion. If he heare not the congregacion, take hym as a Heathen man, & as a publican.

²¹ Then came Peter to hym, & sayde: master howe ofte shall I forgeue my brother, if he synne agaynst me, seuen tymes? ²² Iesus sayde vnto hym: I say not vnto the seuen times: but seuenty times seuen tymes. ²³ Therefore is the kyngedom of heauen lykened vnto a certayne kyng, whithe woulde take a countes of hys seruauntes. ²⁴ And when he had begon to recken: one was broughte vnto hym: which ought hym ten thousand talentes, ²⁵ whome because he had noughte to paye, hys master commaunded him to be solde, and his wyfe, and hys chyldren, and all that he had, & payment to be made. ²⁶ The seruaunt fel doune and besought hym sayinge: Syr geue me respyte, and I will paye it euery whyt. ²⁷ Then had the Lord pitye on that seruaunt, & lowsed him and forgaue hym the dette. ²⁸ And the sayd seruaunt went out & found one of hys felowes, which ought him an hundred pence, & layed handes on him, & toke hym by the throote sayinge: paye me that thou owest. ²⁹ And hys felowe fell doune & besoughte hym, saying: haue pacience with me, and I wil pay the all. ³⁰ But he woulde not, but wente and cast hym into pryson till he shoulde pay the det. ³¹ When hys other felowes sawe what was done, they were very sory, and came and told vnto theyr Lord all that had happened. ³² Then his Lorde called hym, and sayde vnto hym. O euill seruaunt I forgaue the al that det, because thou praiest me: ³³ was it not mete also that thou shouldest haue had compassion on thy felow, euen as I had pitie on the? ³⁴ And his lord was wroth and deliuered him to the iaylers, til he should paye all that was due to hym. ³⁵ So likewyse shal my heauenly father do vnto you except ye forgeue with your hertes, eache one to hys brother theyr trespasses.

²² yea, and except those dayes should be shortened, there shoulde no fleshe be saued: but for the chosens sake, those daies shalbe shortened.

²⁴ For there shall aryse false Christes, and false prophetes, and shall do great myracles and wonders. In so much that if it were possyble the very electe should be deceiued.

³¹ And he shall sende his aungels with the greate voyce of a trompe, and they shall gader together his chosen from the foure windes, and from the one ende of the worlde to the other.

³⁰ And when they had sayde grace, they went oute into mounte oliuete.

⁶⁴ Iesus sayd to him thou hast sayed. Neuertheles I say vnto you, hereafter shall ye se the sonne of men sittynge on the ryght hand of power, and come in the cloudes of the skye.

¹⁹ Go therfore & teache all nacyons, baptisyng them in the name of the father, and the sonne, & the holye ghoste.

²⁷ And then shal he send hys angels, & shall gather together his electe from the foure wyndes, and from the one ende of the worlde to the other.

⁶² And Iesus sayed: I am. And ye shall se the sonne of man sit on the ryght hande of power, and come in the cloudes of heauen.

¹⁹ So then when the Lorde had spoken vnto them: he was receyued into heauen, and is set doune on the ryght hande of God.

⁷⁸ Through the tender mercye of our God, wherby the daye sprynge from on hye hath vysyted vs.

⁵¹ And he went with them, and came to Nazareth, and was obedient to them: But his mother kepte al these sayinges in her herte.

²⁰ When he sawe their faith, he sayed to him: man, thy sinnes are forgeuen the. ²¹ And the scribes and pharyseis began to thinke saiynge: What felowe is this which speaketh blasphemy? who can forgeue synnes but God onlye? ²² When Iesus perceiued their thoughtes, he aunswered and sayd vnto them: What thinke ye in your hertes? ²³ Whether is it easyer to say, thy synnes are forgeuen the, or to saye: ryse & walke? ²⁴ But that ye may knowe that the sonne of man hath power to forgeue sinnes on earth, he said to the sycke of the paulsye, I say to the, aryse, take vp thy bed & go home to thy house.

³⁵ Wherfore, loue ye your enemyes, do good and lende, lokinge for nothynge againe, and your rewarde shall be greate, and ye shalbe the children of the hyest for he is kinde vnto the vnkinde and to the euyll.

⁴ And forgeue vs oure synnes: For euen we forgeue euery man that trespasseth vs: And ledde vs not into temptacyon. But deliuer vs from euyll.

¹⁵ Wherfore, he sayde vnto them: take hede, and beware of coueteousnes. For no mannes lyfe standeth in the abundaunce of the thynges whiche he possesseth.

³³ Sell that ye haue, and geue almes. And make you bagges whiche were not old, and treasure that faileth not in heauen, where no these cometh, neyther mothe corrupteth.

¹⁴ & thou shalte be happy, for they can not recompence the. But thou shalte be recompensed at the resurreccyon of the iust men.

²⁶ If a man come to me, and hate not hys father and mother, and wyfe, and chyldren and brethren & systers, moreouer and hys owne lyfe, he can not be my disciple.

⁸ And the Lord commended the vniust steward because he had done wyslye. For the chyldren of thys worlde are in theyr kynde, wyser then the chyldren of lyght, ⁹ And I saye also vnto you: make you frendes, of the wycked mammon, that when ye shall depart, they maye receyue you into euerlastynge habitacyons.

¹¹ So then yf ye haue not ben faythfull in the wycked Mammon: who wyll beleue you in that which is true?

¹⁹ There was a certayne ryche man, whiche was clothed in purple and fyne bysse, & fared delyciously euery daye, ²⁰ And there was a certayne begger named Lazarus, whiche laye at hys gate full of sores, ²¹ desierynge to be refresshed with the cromes which fell from the riche mans bourde. Neuerthelesse the dogges came and lycked hys sores. ²² And it fortuned that the begger dyed, and was caryed by the Angels into Abrahams bosome. The ryche man also dyed and was buryed. ²³ And beynge in hell in tormentes, he lyfte vp hys eyes, and sawe Abraham a farre of, & Lazarus in his bosome, ²⁴ and he cryed & sayed: father Abraham haue mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he maye dyppe the typpe of his fynger in water, and cole my tonge, for I am tormented in this flamme. ²⁵ But Abraham sayd vnto hym. Sonne, remembre that thou in thy lyfe tyme, receyuedest thy pleasure, and contrarywyse Lazarus payne. Nowe therfore is he conforted, and thou arte punyshed.

³ Take hede to youre selues. Yf thy brother trespasse agaynst the, rebuke hym, ⁴ and yf he repent, forgeue hym. And thoughe he synne agaynst the seuen tymes in a day, & seuen tymes in a day tourne agayne to the saiyng: it repenteth me, forgeue hym.

¹⁶ and fel doune on his face at hys fete, & gaue him thankes. And the same was a Samaritane. ¹⁷ And Iesus aunswered and sayed: are there not ten clensed? But where are those nyne? ¹⁸ There are not founde that returned agayne to geue GOD prayse, saue only thys straunger.

⁷ And shall not God aduenge his electe, which crye daye and nyghte vnto hym, ye though he defarre them?

²¹ And they axed him, saiynge: Mayster, we knowe that thou sayest and teachest right, neyther consyderest thou any mans degree, but teachest the waye of God truely.

⁴² And Dauid hym selfe sayth in the boke of the Psalmes. The Lorde sayde vnto my Lorde, sitte on my ryghte hande,

³⁴ Then said Iesus: father forgeue them, for they wote not what they do. And they parted his rayment, and cast lottes.

³⁹ Searche the sciptures, for in them ye thinke ye haue eternall lyfe: and they are they which testifye of me. ⁴⁰ And yet wyll ye not come to me that ye might haue lyfe.

³⁹ And this is the fathers wyll which hath sent me, that of all whiche hath geuen me, I shoulde loose nothinge: but shoulde rayse it vp agayne at the laste daye. ⁴⁰ And this is the wyll of him that sent me: that euerye man which seeth the sonne and beleueth on him haue euerlasting lyfe. And I wyll rayse him vp at the laste daye.

⁵⁶ He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my bloude, dwelt in me and I in him. ⁵⁷ As the liuinge father hath sent me, euen so lyue I by my father, and he that eateth me shall lyue by me.

⁴⁴ Ye are of youre father the deuyl, and the lustes of your father ye wyll do. He was a murtherer from the begynnyng, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truthe in hym. When he speaketh a lye, then speaketh he of hys owne. For he is a lyar, and the father therof.

²⁸ and I geue vnto them eternall lyfe, and they shall neuer perish neyther shall any man plucke them out of my hande. ²⁹ My father whiche gaue them me, is greater then all, and no man is able to take them out of my fathers hande. ³⁰ And I and my father are one.

²⁵ Iesus sayed vnto her: I am the resurreccion and the lyfe. He that beleueth on me, ye though he were dead, yet shall he lyue.

²⁶ If any man minister vnto me, let hym folowe me, and where I am, there shal also my minister be. And yf any man minister vnto me, hym wyll my father honoure.

³⁴ A newe commaundement geue I vnto you, that ye loue together, as I haue loued you, that euen so ye loue one another.

³ And yf I go to prepare a place for you, I wyl come agayne, and receyue you euen vnto my self, that wher I am, there may ye be also.

⁶ Iesus sayd vnto hym: I am the waye, the truthe and the lyfe. And no man commeth to the father, but by me.

¹⁹ Yet a lytel whyle and the worlde seeth me no more: but ye shal se me. For I lyue, and ye shall lyue.

²³ Iesus aunswered and sayd vnto hym, yf a man loue me, and will kepe my saiynges, my father also will loue hym & we will come vnto hym, and will dwell to hym.

²⁷ Peace I leaue with you, my peace I geue vnto you. Not as the worlde geueth, geue I vnto you. Let not your hertes be greued, neyther feare ye.

⁵ I am the vyne, and ye are the braunches. He that abydeth in me, and I in him, the same bryngeth forth muche frute. For without me can ye do nothynge.

⁷ Yf ye hyd in me and my wordes also hyd in you: axe what ye wyll, and it shalbe done to you.

¹² This is my commaundement, that ye loue together as I haue loued you.

³³ These wordes haue I spoken vnto you, that in me you myght haue peace. For in the worlde shall you haue tribulacyon: but be of good cheare. I haue ouercome the worlde.

³ This is lyfe eternall that they myghte knowe, the that onely very God, and whome thou haste sente Iesus Christ.

²³ I in them, and thou in me, that they maye be made perfect in one, & that the worlde maye knowe that thou haste sent me, & hast loued them as thou haste loued me. ²⁴ Father, I will that they which thou haste geuen me, be with me where I am, that they maye se my glory which thou hast geuen me. For thou louedest me before the makynge of the worlde.

³¹ These are written that ye myght beleue, that Iesus is Christe the sonne of God, and that in beleuinge ye might haue lyfe thorow hys name.

³⁴ For Dauid is not ascended into heauen: but he sayd: The Lord said to my Lord, syt on my ryght hande

⁴⁶ And they contynued dayly wyth one accorde in the temple and brake bread in euerye house, and dyd eate their meate together, with gladnes and singlenes of her

³⁰ So that thou stretche forth thy hande, that healing and signes and wounders be done by the name of thy holye chylde Iesus.

²⁹ Peter and the other Apostles aunswered & saied. We ought more to obey God, then men.

⁵⁵ But he beynge full of the holye ghoste: loked vp stedfastly wyth his eyes into heauen, and sawe the glorye of God, & Iesus standynge on the ryghte hand of God,

³⁴ Then Peter opened hys mouth and saide: Of a trueth I perceyue, that God is not partyall,

⁴⁶ Then Paule and Barnabas wexed bolde, and sayed: it was mete that the worde of God shoulde fyrste haue ben preached to you. But seynge, ye put it from you, and thynke youre selues vnworthy of euerlastyng lyfe: lo, we turne to the gentyls: ⁴⁷ For so hath the Lorde commaunded vs: I haue made the a lyghte to the gentyls, that thou be the saluacion to the ende of the worlde. ⁴⁸ The gentyls hearde and were glad & glorifyed the worde of the Lorde, and beleued euen as many as were ordeyned vnto eternal lyfe.

¹⁷ that the resydue of men myghte seke after the Lorde, and also the gentyls vpon whome my name is named (sayth the Lorde) which doth all these thynges:

³² And nowe brethren I commende you to God, and to the worde of hys grace, which is able to buylde further, and to geue you an inheritaunce amonge all them which are sanctifyed

¹⁷ vnto the deliuering the from the people, and from the gentils, vnto whiche nowe I sende the, ¹⁸ to open theyr eyes, that they myght turne from darckenes to lyght, and from the power of Satan vnto God: that they maye receiue forgeuenes of synnes, and inheritaunce amonge them whyche are sanctyfyed by fayth in me.

² And the people of the countrey shewed vs no lytel kyndnes: for they kindled a fyre, and receiued vs euery one, because of the presente rayne, and because of the colde.

⁴ When the men of the countrey sawe the worme hange on his hande, they sayd amonge them selues: this man must nedes be a murtherer. Whom (though he haue escaped the sea) yet vengeaunce suffreth not to lyue.

¹ Paule the seruaunte of Iesus Christ called to be an Apostle, put aparte to preache the Gospel of God,

⁷ To all you at Rome beloued of God, and sainctes by callynge Grace be wyth you and peace from God our father, and from our Lorde Iesus Christ. ⁸ Fyrste verelye I thanke my God thorowe Iesus Christe for you all, because your fayth is publyshed throughout all the worlde.

¹⁴ For I am detter both to the Grekes and to them, whyche are no Grekes, vnto the learned and also vnto the vnlearned.

¹⁸ As it is written: the iust shal liue by faith. For the wrath of God appeareth from heauen agaynste all vngodlynesse and vnryghtuousnes of men, whiche wythholde the trueth in vnryghtuousnes,

²¹ in as muche as when they knewe God, they glorifyed him not as God, neither were thankful, but waxed full of vanities in theyr Imaginations, and their folishe hertes were blinded.

²⁶ For this cause God gaue them vp vnto shamefull lustes. For euen theyr women dyd chandge the natural vse vnto the vnnaturall.

²⁹ beyng ful of al vnryghtuous doing, of fornicacion, wickednes, couetousnes, maliciousnes, full of enuye, murther, debate, disceite, euyl condicioned, whisperers,

⁶ whyche wyll rewarde euerye man according to hys dedes: ⁷ that is to say, prayse, honoure and immortalytye, to them whyche continue in good doynge and seke eternall lyfe.

¹¹ For ther is no parcialitie with God. But whosoeuer hath synned without lawe,

¹⁴ Whose mouthes are full of curssyng and bytternes.

²⁹ Is he the God of Iewes onely? Is he not also the God of the gentyls? Yes, euen of the gentyls also.

⁴ To hym that worketh, is the rewarde not reckened of fauoure: but of dutye. ⁵ To hym that worketh not, but beleueth on hym that iustifyeth the vngodly, is hys fayth counted for ryghteousnes.

¹⁰ Howe was it rekened: in the tyme of circumcysyon? or in the tyme before he was circumcysed? Not in tyme of circumcisyon: but when he was yet vncircumcysed. ¹¹ And he receyued the sygne of circumcysyon, as a seale of the ryghtuousnes whiche is by fayth, whiche fayth he had yet beynge vncyrcumcysed: that he shoulde be the father of all them that beleue, thoughe they be not circumcysed, that ryghtuousnes myght be imputed to them also:

¹⁰ For yf when we were enemyes, we were reconciled to God by the death of hys sonne muche more, seynge we are reconciled, we shall be preserued by his lyfe.

²¹ that as synne had reygned vnto death, euen so myght grace raygne thorow rightuousnes vnto eternall lyfe, by the helpe of Iesus Christe.

² God forbide. How shal we that are deade as touchynge synne, lyue any lenger therin?

⁴ We are buried wyth hym by baptisme, for to dye that lykewyse as Christe was raysed vp from death by the glorye of the father: euen so we also shoulde walke in a newe lyfe. ⁵ For yf we be grafted in deathe lyke vnto hym: euen so muste we be in the resurrection. ⁶ Thys we muste remember, that oure olde man is crucified wyth hym also, that the bodye of synne myght vtterlye be destroyed, that hence forthe we should not be seruauntes of synne.

⁹ remembrynge that Christe ones raysed from death, dieth no more, death hath nomore power ouer hym. ¹⁰ For as touchynge that he dyed, he died concernynge synne, ones. And as touchinge that he liueth, he liueth vnto God. ¹¹ Lyke wyse ymagyne ye also, that ye are dead concernynge synne: but are a lyue vnto God thorowe Iesus Christe oure Lorde.

¹³ Neyther geue ye youre members as instrumentes of vnrightuousnes vnto sinne: but geue yourselues vnto god, as they that are aliue from death. And geue your membres as instrumentes of ryghtuousnes vnto God,

¹⁹ I will speake grossely because of the infirmitie of youre fleshe. As ye haue geuen your members seruauntes to vnclennes and to iniquitie: from iniquitie vnto iniquitie: euen so now geue your membres seruauntes vnto rightuousnes, that ye may be sanctifyed. ²⁰ For when ye were the seruauntes of synne, ye were not vnder rightuousnes.

⁵ For when we were in the fleshe the lustes of synne whych were sterred vp by the law reygned in oure membres, to brynge forthe fruyte vnto deathe.

⁷ What shall we saye then? Is the lawe synne? God forbid: but I knewe not what synne meante but by the law. For I had not knowne what luste had meant, except the lawe had sayed, thou shalte, not lust. ⁸ But synne toke an occasion by the meanes of the commaundement, and wrought in me al maner of concupiscence. For without the lawe, synne was dead.

²³ But I se another lawe in my membres rebellynge agaynst the lawe of my mynde and subduynge me vnto the lawe of synne whyche is in my membres.

¹¹ yer the children were borne, when they had neither done good nor bad: that the purpose of God whiche is by election, might stand, it was sayed vnto her, not by the reason of workes, but by grace of the caller:

³⁰ What shall we saye then? We saye that the Gentyles which folowed not ryghteousnes haue ouertaken ryghtuousnes: I meane the ryghtuousnes whiche cometh of faythe. ³¹ But Israell whiche folowed the lawe of rightuousnes, coulde not attayne vnto the lawe of ryghtuousnes.

Yf it be of workes, then is it no more grace. For then were deseruynge no lenger deseruynge. ⁷ What then? Israell hath not obtayned that, that he soughte. No but the electyon hath obtayned it. The remnaunte are blynded,

⁸ Owe nothynge to anye man: but to loue one another. For he that loueth another, fulfylleth the lawe.

Let vs therfore caste awaye the dedes of darcknes, & let vs put on the Armoure of lyghte. ¹³ Let vs walke honestlye as it were in the daye lyght: not in eatynge and drynkynge: neyther in chamburynge and wantonnes, neyther in stryfe & enuiynge: ¹⁴ but put ye on the Lorde Iesus Christ. And make not prouysyon for the fleshe, to fulfyll the lustes of it.

⁶ He that obserueth one daye more then another, doth it for the Lordes pleasure. And he that obserueth not one day more then another, doeth it to please the Lorde also. He that eateth, doeth it to please the Lorde, for he geueth God thankes.

¹⁷ For the kyngedome of God is not meate and drynke, but ryghtuousnes, peace, & ioye in the holye ghoste. ¹⁸ For whosoeuer in these thynges serueth Christe, pleaseth well God, & is commendeth of men.

¹ We whiche are strong, ought to beare the fraylnes of them whiche are weake, and not to stande in our owne conceptes. ² Let euery man please his neyghboure vnto his wealth and edifiynge.

⁷ Wherfore receyue ye on another, as Christe receyued vs, to the prayse of God.

⁹ And let the Gentyles prayse God for hys mercye, as it is written: For thys cause I wyll prayse the amonge the Gentyles, & sing in thy name. ¹⁰ And agayne he sayth: reioyse ye Gentyles with his people. ¹¹ And agayn. Prayse the Lorde all ye gentyles, and laude hym all nacyons. ¹² And in another place Esayas saith: there shalbe the rote of Iesse, and he that shall ryse to reygne ouer the Gentyles: in hym shal the Gentyles truste. ¹³ The God of hope fil you with all ioye, and peace in beleuynge, that ye maye be ryche in hope thorowe the power of the holye ghoste.

¹⁴ For the naturall man perceiueth not the thinges of the spyrite of God. For they are but folishnes vnto him. Neither can he perceiue them, because he is spiritually examined.

³ As longe verelye as there is amonge you enuiynge, stryfe and dissencion: are ye not carnall, and walke after the maner of men?

⁸ He that planteth and he that wathereth, are neither better then the other. Euerye man yet shall receyue hys rewarde accordynge to hys laboure.

²¹ Therfore let no man reioice in men. For all thinges are youres ²² whether it be Paule, other Apollo, other Cephas: whether it be the world, other lyfe, other deathe, whether they be present thynges or thinges to come: all are youres, ²³ and ye are Christes & Christ is Gods.

⁷ Nowe therfore, there is vtterlye a faute amonge you, because ye go to law one wyth another. Why rather suffer ye not wronge? Why rather suffre ye not youre selues to be robbed? ⁸ naye, ye youre selues do wronge, and robbe: and that the brethren. ⁹ Do ye not remembre, howe that the vnrightuous shall not inheret the kyngdome of God? Be not deceyued. For neither fornicatours, neither worshipers of ymages, neither whormongers, neyther weaklinges, neither abusers of them selues wyth the mankynde, ¹⁰ neither theues, neythe couetous, neither dronkardes, neither cursed speakers, neither pyllars, shall inherete the kyngedome of God. ¹¹ And suche were ye verelye, but ye are washed, ye are sanctifyed, ye are iustifyed by the name of the Lorde Iesus, and by the spyryte of our God.

¹³ Meates are ordeyned for the belly, and the belly for meates, but God shall destroye both it and them. Let not the bodye be applied vnto fornication, but vnto the Lorde, and the Lorde vnto the body.

¹⁸ Fle fornycatyon. Al synnes that a man doth, are without the body. But he that is a fornicatour, sinneth agaynst his owne bodye.

¹⁵ But and if the vnbeleuinge departe, let him departe. A brother or a syster is not in subieccion to suche. God hath called vs in peace.

¹⁹ Circumcison is nothinge, vncircumcision is nothinge, but the kepinge of the commaundementes of God is altogether.

⁶ These are ensamples to vs that we should not luste after euyll thinges, as they lusted. ⁷ Neyther be ye worshippers of Images as were some of them accordynge at it is written: The people sate doune to eate and drynke, and rose vp agayne to playe. ⁸ Neyther let vs committe fornicacion as some of them committed fornycacyon, and were destroied in one day .xxiij. thousand.

³¹ Whether therfore ye eate or drynke, or whatsoeuer ye do, do al to the praise of God.

Loue enuieth not. Loue doth not frowardelye, swelleth not, dealeth not dishonestlye, ⁵ seketh not her owne, is not prouoketh to anger, thinketh not euil, ⁶ reioiceth not in iniquitie: but reioiseth in the trueth, ⁷ suffreth all thinge, beleueth all thinges, hopeth al thinges, endureth in all thinges. ⁸ Though that propheciynge fayle, other tounges shall cease, or knowledge vanishe awaye, yet loue falleth neuer awaye. ⁹ For oure knowledge is vnperfect, & oure prophesiynge is vnperfecte. ¹⁰ But when that which is perfect, is come: then that which is vnperfect, shal be done awaye: ¹¹ When I was a child, I spake as a chylde, I vnderstode as a child, I Imagined as a chylde. But assone as I was a man, I put away childishnes. ¹² Nowe we se in a glasse euen in a darke speakinge, but then shall we se face to face. Nowe I knowe vnperfectlye, but then shall I knowe euen as I am knowen. ¹³ Nowe abideth fayth, hope, and loue, euen these thre: but the chiefe of these is loue.

¹¹ If I knowe not what the voice meaneth, I shalbe vnto hym that speaketh, an alient: and he that speaketh shall be alient vnto me

¹⁵ What is it then? I wyl praye with the spirite, and wyll praye with mynde also. I wil singe with the spyrite, and wil singe with the minde also.

²⁶ Howe is it then brethren? When ye come together, euerye man hath his songe, hath his doctryne, hath his tounge, hath hys reuelation, hath hys interpretation. Let al thynges be done vnto edifiynge.

³⁴ Let your wyues kepe silence in the congregations. For it is not permitted vnto them to speake: but let them be vnder obedience, as sayeth the lawe.

⁴³ It is sowen in dishonoure, and ryseth in honoure. It is sowen in weakenes, and ryseth in power. It is sowen a naturall bodye, and ryseth a spyrytuall bodye.

⁴⁵ as it is written: the fyrste man Adam was made a lyuinge soule, and the last Adam was made a quickeninge spirite.

⁵³ For this corruptible must put on incorruptibilitie; and this mortal muste put on immortalytye. ⁵⁴ When this corruptible, hath put on incorruptibilitie, and this mortal hath put on immortalite, then shalbe brought to passe the saiyng that is written.

¹⁰ To whom ye forgeue any thynge, I forgeue also. And verelye yf I forgeue anye thynge, to whome I forgaue it, for your sakes forgaue I it in the roume of Christe,

¹⁸ But we all beholde the glorye of the Lorde with hys face open, and chaunged vnto the same similitude, from glorye to glory, euen of the spirite of the Lorde.

⁶ For it is God that commaunded the lighte to shyne out of darknes, whiche hath shyned in oure hertes, for to geue the lyghte of the knoweledge of the glorye of God, in the face of Iesus Christe.

¹⁵ For all thynges do I for youre sakes, that the plentuous grace by thankes geuen of manye, maye redounde to the prayse of God.

¹⁷ For oure excedynge trybulation whiche is momentanye and lyghte, prepareth an excedynge and eternall wayghte of glory vnto vs, ¹⁸ whyle we loke not on the thinges whiche are sene, but on the thinges which are not sene. For thynges whiche are sene, are temporall, but thynges whiche are not sene, are eternall.

⁷ For we walke in fayth, and se not.

¹⁰ For we muste all appeare before the iudgement seate of Christ, that euery man maye receyue the workes of hys bodye accordyng to that he hath done, whether it be good or badde?

¹⁴ For the loue of Christ constrayneth vs, because we thus iudge, yf one be dead, for all that then are all dead,

¹⁷ Therfore yf anye man be in Christe, he is a newe creature. Olde thynges are passed awaye, beholde all thynges are become newe.

¹⁹ For God was in Christe, and made agrement betwene the worlde and hym selfe, and imputed not theyr synnes vnto them, & hathe committed to vs the preachynge of the atonnement. ²⁰ Nowe then are we messengers in the roume of Christ: euen as thoughe God dyd beseche you thorowe vs: So praye we you in Christes stede, that ye be atone with God, ²¹ for he hath made hym to be synne for vs, whiche knewe no synne, that we by hys meanes should be that ryghtuousnes whiche before God is allowed.

⁶ in purenes, in knoweledge, in longe suffering in kyndnes, in the holye ghoste, in loue vnfayned,

¹ Seynge that we haue such promyses dearely beloued, let vs cleanse oure selues from al fylthynesse of the fleshe & spyrite, and grow vp to full holynesse in the feare of God.

¹¹ ye maye be made riche in all synglenes, whiche causeth thorowe vs, thankes geuynge vnto God.

²⁰ For I feare least it come to passe, that when I come, I shall not fynde you suche as I woulde, and I shalbe founde amonge you debate, enuiynge, wrath, stryfe, backbytynges, whisperynges, swellynges & discorde. ²¹ I feare leste when I come agayne, God brynge me lowe amonge you, and I be constrayned to bewayle many of them which haue synned already, and haue not repented of the vncleanes, fornicacyon, and wantonnes, whiche they haue commytted.

¹⁶ not nowe as a seruaunte, but aboue a seruaunte I meane a brother beloued, specyally to me: but howe muche more vnto the, bothe in the fleshe and also in the Lorde?

³ Whyche sonne beyng the bryghtnes of hys glorye, and verye Image of his substaunce, bearinge vp al thinges wyth the worde of hys power, hath in his owne persone pourged our synnes, and is sitting on the right hand of the maiestie on hygh,

⁵ For vnto whyche of the Angelles sayed he anye tyme: Thou arte my sonne, thys day begat I the? And agayne: I wyll be hys father, and he shall be my sonne.

¹³ Vnto which of the Angels sayed he at anye tyme? Sitte on my ryghte hande, tyll I make thyne enemies thy fote stole.

² For yf the word which was spoken by Angels was stedfast, so that euery transgression and disobedience receyued a iuste recompence to rewarde,

¹² For the word of God is quicke and myghty in operacion, and sharper then anye two edged swerde, and entreth through, euen vnto the diuiding a sonder of the soule and the spirite, and of the ioyntes and the marie, and iudgeth the thoughtes and the ententes of the herte: ¹³ neyther is there anye creature inuisible in the syght of him. For all thinges are naked and bare vnto the eyes of him, of whom we speake.

¹ Wherfore let vs loue the doctrine pertaininge to the beginninge of a Christen man, & let vs go vnto perfeccion, & nowe no more lay the foundacion of repentaunce from deade workes, and of faythe towarde God,

⁶ yf they fall, shoulde be renued agayne vnto repentaunce: for as muche as they haue (as concernynge them selues) crucifyed the sonne of God a freshe makynge a mocke of hym.

²⁵ Wherfor he is able also euer to saue them that come vnto God by hym, seyng he euer lyueth, to make intercessyon for vs.

¹ Of the thynges which we haue spoken this is the pythe: that we haue suche an hye prieste that is sytten on the ryght hande of the seate of maiestye in heauen,

⁵ And ye haue forgotten consolacyon, which speaketh vnto you as vnto chyldren: my sonne despyse not the chastenynge of the Lorde, neyther faynte when thou arte rebuked of hym: ⁶ For whom the Lord loueth, hym he chasteneth: yea, and he scourgeth euerye sonne that he receyueth. ⁷ Yf ye endure chastenynge, God offereth hym selfe vnto you as vnto sonnes. What sonne is that whom the father chasteneth not? ⁸ Yf ye be not vnder correccyon (whereof all are partakers) then are ye bastardes and not sonnes. ⁹ Moreouer seynge we had fathers of oure fleshe whiche corrected vs, and we gaue them reuerence: shoulde we not muche rather be in subieccyon vnto the father of spyrytuall gyftes, that we myght lyue? ¹⁰ And they verely for a few dayes, nurtered vs after their owne pleasure, but he learneth vs vnto that whiche is profytable that we myght receyue of hys holynes. ¹¹ No maner chastisynge for the presente tyme semeth to be ioyeous, but greuous: neuerthelesse afterwarde, it bryngeth the quyet frute of ryghtuousnes vnto them whiche are therein exercysed. ¹² Stretche forth therfore agayne the handes whiche were let doune and the weake lines ¹³ & se that ye haue strayght steppes vnto your fete, least any halting, turne you oute of the way: yea let it rather be healed. ¹⁴ Embrace peace wt all men and holynes, wythout the whiche no man shall se the Lorde. ¹⁵ And loked to, that no man be destitute of the grace of God, and that no rote of bytternes sprynge vp and trouble, and therebye manye be defyled, ¹⁶ & that there be no fornicator or vncleane person, as Esau whiche for one breakfast solde his byrthright.

⁴ Let wedlocke be had in pryce in all poyntes, and let the chambre be vndefyled: for whorekepers and aduouterers God wyll iudge.

¹⁵ For by hym offre we the sacryfyce of laud alwayes to God: that is to saye, the frute of those lyppes, whiche confesse hys name.

²¹ make you perfecte in all good workes, to do hys wyl, workynge in you that whiche is pleasaunte in hys syghte thorowe Iesus Christe. To whom be prayse for euer whyle the worlde endureth. Amen.

⁵ Yf anye of you lacke wysedome, let hym axe of God whiche geueth to all men indyfferentlye, and casteth no man in the teath: and it shal be geuen hym.

²⁰ For the wrath of man worketh not that whiche is ryghtuous before God. ²¹ Wherfore laye a parte all fylthynes, all superfluytye of malycyousnes, and receyue wyth mekenes the worde that is grafted in you, whiche is able to saue your soules.

⁴ Behold also the shyppes, which though they be so greate and are dryuen of fyers wyndes, yet are they turned aboute wyth a verye smale helme, whether soeuer the vyolence of the gouerner wyll ⁵ euen so the tonge is a lyttell member, and boasteth greate thinges. Beholde howe greate a thynge a lyttell fyre kyndleth, ⁶ and the tonge is fyre, and a worlde of wickednes. So is the tong set among our members, that it defyleth the whole body and setteth a fyre all that we haue of nature, & is it selfe set a fyre euen of hell.

⁸ But aboue all thinges haue feruente loue among you. For loue couereth the multitude of synnes.

¹¹ Yf anye man speake let hym talke as though he spake the wordes of God. If any man mynistre, let hym do it as of the habilitie, whyche God ministreth vnto hym. That God in all thinges may be glorifyed thorowe IESUS Christ, to whom be prayse and domynyon for euer, and whyle the worlde standeth. Amen.

¹ That whyche was from the begynninge, whyche we haue hearde, whyche we haue sene with oure eyes, which we haue loked vpon and our handes haue handeled, of the word of the lyfe. ² For the life appeared, and we haue sene, and beare wytnes, and shewe vnto you that eternall lyfe, whyche was wyth the father, and appeared to vs.

³ And herby we are sure that we knowe him, yf we kepe his commaundementes.

³ And they songe as it were a newe songe, before the seate, & before the foure beastes, & the elders, & no man coulde learne the songe, but the hundred and .xliiij.M. which were redemed from the earth.

¹⁴ These shal fyght wt the lamb, & the lamb shal ouercome them. For he is Lorde of Lordes, & kinge of kinges, & they that are on his syde, are called the chosen and faithful.

¹⁰ And I fell at his feete, to worshippe him. And he sayed vnto me, se thou do it not. For I am thy felowe seruaunt, & one of thy brethren, & of them that haue the testimony of Iesus. Worshippe God. For the testimony of Iesus is the spirit of prophesye.

⁵ And he that sate vpon the seate, said: Behold I make al thinges new. And he sayd vnto me: wryte for these wordes are faythfull and true.

⁸ But the fearful and vnbeleuing, & the abhominable, & murtherers, & whoremongers, & sorcerers, & ydolaters, & al lyars shall haue their parte in the lake which burneth wt fyre & brymstone, which is the seconde death.

²⁷ And there shal enter into it none vncleane thyng, neyther whatsoeuer worketh abominacyon: or maketh lyes: but they onely which are wrytten in the lambes boke of lyfe.

¹ And he shewed me a pure ryuer of water of life cleare as cristal: procedyng out of the seat of god and of the lambe.

¹⁴ Blessed are they that do his commaundementes that theyr power maye be in the tree of lyfe, & maye enter in thorowe the gates into the cite. ¹⁵ For without shal be dogges & inchaunters, & whoremongers, and murtherers & Idolaters and whosoeuer loueth or maketh leasynges.
