But assone as I was a man, I put away childishnes. 12 Nowe we se in a glasse euen in a darke speakinge, but then shall we se face to face. Beholde howe greate a thynge a lyttell fyre kyndleth, 6 and the tonge is fyre, and a worlde of wickednes. So is the tong set among our members, that it defyleth the whole body and setteth a fyre all that we haue of nature, & is it selfe set a fyre euen of hell.

James 3:14-16

14 But, yf ye haue bitter enuyinge and strife in youre hertes, reioyce not: neyther be lyars agaynste the trueth.

1 Peter 1:22

22 And for as muche as ye haue puryfyed, youre soules thorowe the spyryte, in obeying the truethe for to loue brotherlye wythout faynynge, se that ye loue one another with a pure herte feruentlye:

1 Peter 2:1

1 Wherfore laye a syde all malycyousnes, and all gyle, and dyssymulacyon, and enuye, and all backbytynge:

1 Peter 2:5

5 and ye as lyuynge stones, are made a spirytuall housse, and an holye priesthode, for to offer vp spyrytuall sacryfyce, acceptable to God by Iesus Christe.

1 Peter 2:9

9 But ye are a chosen generacyon, a royall priesthode, an holye nacyon and a peculyar people that ye shoulde shewe the vertues of hym that called you oute of darkenes into his marueylous lyght,

11 Dearely beloued, I beseche you as straungers and pylgremes, obstayne from fleshely lustes, which fyght agaynste the soule,

1 Peter 2:13

13 Submyt youre selues vnto all maner ordinaunce of man for the Lordes sake, whether it be vnto the kynge as vnto the chiefe heade:

1 Peter 2:18-19

18 Seruauntes obeye your maysters wyth al feare, not onelye yf they be good, and courteous: but also thoughe they be frowarde. 19 For it is thanke worthy yf a man for conscience towarde God endure griefe, suffering wrongfullye.

1 Peter 2:21

21 for here vnto verelye were ye called: for Christe also suffered for vs, leauynge vs an ensample that we shoulde folowe his steppes,

1 Peter 3:1-6

1 Peter 3:4-6

4 but let the hyd man of the harte be vncorrupte with a meke and a quyete spyryte, whiche spyryte is before God a thynge muche set by. 5 For after thys maner in the olde tyme dyd the holye women whiche trusted in God, tyer them selues, and were obedyente to theyr husbandes 6 euen as Sara obeyed Abraham, and called hym Lorde: whose doughters ye are as longe as ye do well, and be not afrayde of euerye shadowe. 7 Lykewyse ye men dwell wyth them accordynge to knoweledge, geuynge honoure vnto the wyfe, as vnto the weaker vessell, and as vnto them that are heyres also of the grace of lyfe, that youre prayers be not let. 8 In conclusyon be ye all of one mynd, one suffer wyth another, loue as brethren, be petifull, be curteous, 9 not rendringe euyll for euyll, neyther rebuke for rebuke, but contrarywyse, blesse, remembryng that ye are thervnto called, euen that ye shoulde be heyres of blessinge. 10 If anye man longe after lyfe, and loueth to se good dayes, let him refrayne his tonge from euil, & his lippes that they speake not gyle. 11 Let hym eschue euyll and do good, let him seke peace, and ensue it.

1 Peter 3:22

22 whyche is on the right hande of God, and is gone into heauen, aungelles, power, and mighte, subdued vnto him.

1 Peter 4:3-4

3 For it is sufficient for vs, that we haue spent the time that is past of the lyfe, after the wil of the Gentiles, walking in wantonnes, lustes, dronckennes, in eatinge, drinkinge & in abominable Idolatrie. 4 And it semeth to them a straunge thynge, that ye runne not also with them vnto the same excesse of riote, and therfore speake they euyl of you,

1 Peter 4:8

8 But aboue all thinges haue feruente loue among you. For loue couereth the multitude of synnes.

1 Peter 4:11

11 Yf anye man speake let hym talke as though he spake the wordes of God. If any man mynistre, let hym do it as of the habilitie, whyche God ministreth vnto hym. 1 Peter 5:4

4 And when the chiefe shephearde shal appere, ye shal receiue an incorruptible crowne of glorie.

2 Peter 1:1

1 Simon Peter a seruaunte, and an Apostle of Iesus Christe, to them whyche haue obtained lyke precyous faith wyth vs in the rightuousnes that commeth of oure God and sauiour Iesu Christ.

2 Peter 1:5-8

5 And herunto geue al diligence, in youre fayth, mynyster vertue, and in vertue knowledge, 6 and in knowledge temperancie, and in temperauncie, pacience, in pacience, Godlynes, 7 in Godlines brotherly kyndnes, in brotherlye kindnes, loue.

2 Peter 1:7

7 in Godlines brotherly kyndnes, in brotherlye kindnes, loue. 8 For yf these thinges be amonge you and are plenteous, they wyll make you, that ye neyther shalbe ydle nor vnfruteful in the knowledge of oure Lord Iesu Christe.

2 Peter 1:10

10 Wherfore brethren, geue the more diligence for to make your callinge and eleccion sure. For if ye do suche thinges, ye shal neuer erre.

1 John 2:3

3 And herby we are sure that we knowe him, yf we kepe his commaundementes.

1 John 2:5

5 Whosoeuer kepeth his worde, in him is the loue of God, perfecte in dede. And there by knowe we that we are in him.

1 John 2:14

14 I wryte vnto you fathers, how that ye knowe him, that was from the beginninge. I wryte vnto you young men, how that ye are stronge and the word of God abyeth in you, & ye haue ouercome that wycked. 15 Se that ye loue not the world, neyther the thynges that are in the worlde. Yf anye man loue the worlde the loue of the father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world (as the luste of the fleshe, the lust of the eyes, and the pryde of goodes) is not of the father, but of the world. 17 And the world vanysheth away, and the lust therof, but he that fulfilleth the will of God, abideth euer.

1 John 2:23

23 Whosoeuer denyeth the sonne, the same hath not the father. 24 Let therfore abyde in you that same, whiche ye hearde from the beginninge, shall remaine in you, ye also shal continue in the sonne, and in the father.

1 John 2:27

27 And the anointinge, whiche ye haue receiued of him, dwelleth in you. 1 John 3:14-20

14 We know that we are translated from death vnto lyfe, because we loue the brethren. He that loueth not his brother, abydeth in death. 15 Whosoeuer hateth his brother, is a man slear. And ye know that no man slear hath eternal life abidinge in him. 16 Hereby perceyue we loue, that he gaue hys lyfe for vs, & therfore oughte we also to geue our lyues for the brethren. 17 Whosoeuer hath this worldes good, and seeth his brother haue nede, and shutteth vp his compassion from him, howe dwelleth the loue of God in hym? 18 My babes, let vs not loue in worde neyther in tonge, but wyth the dede and in veryty:

1 John 4:7-12

7 Beloued, let vs loue one another, for loue commeth of god. And euery one that loueth is borne of God, & knoweth God. 8 He that loueth not, knoweth not God: for God is loue. 9 In this appered the loue of God to vsward, because that God sent his onely begotten sonne into the world, that we myght lyue thorow him: 10 Herin is loue, not that we loued God, but that he loued vs, & sente his sonne to make agrement for our synnes. 11 Beloued yf God so loued vs we oughte also to loue one another. 12 No man hath sene God at anyetime. Yf we loue one another, god dwelleth in vs, and his loue is perfect in vs.

1 John 4:19

19 We loue him, for he loued vs fyrste.

1 John 4:21

21 And this commaundemente haue we of him that he which loueth God, should loue his brother also.
