¹ After fyue dayes Ananias the hye prieste descended wt the elders and with a certayne oratour named Tertullus, and enformed the rular of Paul.

² For lo, the vngodly haue bent their bowe, and made ready their arrowes in the quyuer, that they maye priuely shute at them, which are true of hert.

³ the worshipful of fyftye yeare olde, and the honorable: the Senatours, and men of vnderstandyng: the maisters of craftes and oratours.

²¹ And vpon a daye appoynted Herode arayed hym in royall apparell, and set hym in hys seate, and made an oracyon vnto them.

²⁷ And as the seuen dayes shoulde haue ben ended, the Iewes which were of Asia when they sawe hym in the temple, they moued all the people, and layed handes on hym,

² The hye priest Ananias commaunded them that stode by, to smyte hym on the mouth.

²⁴ And delyuer them beastes that they may put Paule on, and bryng hym safe vnto Felix the hye debitie,

³⁰ Afterward when it was shewed me, how that the Iewes layde wayte for the man, I sent him strayght waye to the, and gaue commaundement to hys accusars, yf they had oughte agaynste hym to tell it vnto the. Fare well.

³⁵ I wyll heare the (sayde he) when thyne accusars are come also: and commaunded hym to be kepte in Herodes Pallayce.

¹¹ because that thou mayest know that there are yet but .xij. dayes sence I wente vp to Ierusalem for to praye,

² Then enfourmed hym the hye priestes and the chiefe of the Iewes, of Paule. And they besoughte hym,

¹⁵ about whom when I came to Hierusalem, the hye priestes, and elders of the Iewes enfourmed me, and desiered to haue iudgemente againste him.

¹ And I brethren when I came to you, came not in gloriousnes of wordes, or of wysdome, shewynge vnto you the testimonye of God.

⁴ And my wordes and my preachinge were not wyth entisynge wordes of mannes wysdome but in shewinge of the spirite, and of power,
