⁵ For verily the bloude of you wherin youre lyues are wyl I require: Euen of the hand of all beastes wyll I requyre it, and of the hande of man and of the hand of euerye mannes brother wyll I requyre the lyfe of man:

¹⁴ Thys thou seyst, for thou consyderest the mysery and sorowe. The poore geueth him selfe ouer into thy hande, and committeth hym vnto the, for thou art the helper of the frendlesse.

⁴ For the loue that I had vnto them, they take now my contrary parte, but I geue my selfe vnto prayer.

¹³ Who so rewardeth euell for good, the plage shall not departe frome hys house.

²⁰ Therfore I wyll beseche the now (O Lord of hostes) thou rightuous iudge, thou that tryest the reynes and the hertes: lett me se the aunged of them, for vnto the haue I committed my cause.

¹⁴ Nowe as for me: I am in youre handes, do wyth me, as ye thincke expedyent & good. ¹⁵ But thys shal ye know: yf ye put me to death ye shall make youre selues, thys cytye and al the inhabytours thereof, gyltye of innocente bloude. For thys is of a trueth: that the Lorde hath sente me vnto you, to speake al these wordes in youre eares.

⁵⁶ For the destroyers shall come vpon her (euen vpon Babylon) whyche shall take her worthyes, & breake their bowes: for God is dysposed to auenge hym selfe vpon them, and suffycyentlye to recompence them.

⁵¹ from the bloude of Abell vnto the bloude of Zacharye, whiche peryshed betwene the aulter and the temple. Verelye I saye vnto you, it shalbe requyred of thys nacyon.

¹⁴ Alexander the coppersmyth dyd me muche euyll, the Lorde rewarde him, according to hys dedes,

¹⁶ At my fyrste aunsweryng, no man assisted me, but all forsoke me. I praye God that it maye not be layed to theyr charges:

⁹ And when he opened the fyft seale, I saw vnder the aulter, the soules of them that were kylled for the word of God, & for the testymonye, whych they had, ¹⁰ and they cryed wyth a loude voyce sayinge: Howe longe tariest thou Lord holy and true, to iudge and to auenge oure bloud on them that dwell on the earth? ¹¹ And longe whyte garmentes were geuen vnto euery of them. And it was sayde vnto them that they should reste for a litle season vntyll the number of their felowes and brethren, & of them that should be kylled as they were, were fulfylled.

²⁰ Reioice ouer her thou heauen, and ye holy Apostles, & prophetes: for God hath geuen your iudgemente on her.

² for true and ryghteous are his iudgementes, for he hath iudged that great whore, whiche dyd corrupte the earth with her fornicacion, & hath auenged the bloude of his seruauntes of her hand.
