Of this condicion yet, yf thy children will take hede to theyr waies to walcke in my lawe, as thou hast walcked before me.

¹⁸ then I wyll stablyshe the seate of thy kyngedome, accordynge to the couenaunt I made with Dauid thy father, saying: thou shalt haue euer one or other that shall rule in Israel.

⁷ he plucked a sondre the aulers & the groues and dyd beate them and stampe them to poudre, & bete doune the ydoles thorowout all the lande of Israell: & then returned to Ierusalem agayne.

And that we wolde let the seuenth yeare be fre concernynge all maner of charge. ³² And we decreed a statute vpon our selues, to geue yearlye the thyrde parte of a sycle to the mynystracyon in the house of oure God, ³³ namelye to the shewebreade, to the daylye meateofferynge, to the daylye burntoffering of the Sabothes, of the newe mones & feaste dayes, and to the thynges that were sanctyfyed, and to the synofferynges, to reconcyle Israel wythall, and to all the busynes in the house of oure God. ³⁴ And we caste the lot amonge the pryestes, Leuytes and the people, for offerynge of the woode to be broughte vnto the house of oure God from yeare to yeare, after the houses of oure fathers, that it myghte be brente at tymes appoynted, vpon the aultare of the Lord oure God, as it is wrytten in the lawe: ³⁵ and yearelye to brynge the fyrstlinges of oure land and the fyrstlynges of oure frutes of al trees yeare by yeare, vnto the house of the Lorde, ³⁶ & the fyrstlynges of oure sonnes, and of our catell, as it is wrytten in the lawe and the fyrstlynges of oure oxen and of our shepe, that we shulde brynge all thys to the house of oure God vnto the pryestes that mynyster in the house of oure God: ³⁷ and that we shulde bryng the fyrstlynges of oure dowghe, and of oure heaueofferynges, and the frutes of all maner trees, of wyne also and of oyle, vnto the priestes to the chestes of the house of oure God. And the tythes of oure lande vnto the Leuytes, that the Leuytes myghte haue the tithes in all the cytyes of oure mynystracyon. ³⁸ And the prieste the sonne of Aaron shall wt the Leuytes haue also of the tythes of the Leuytes, so that the Leuytes shall brynge vp the tythes of theyr tythes vnto the house of oure God to the cheste in the treasure house. ³⁹ For the children of Israel & the chyldren of Leui shall brynge vp the heaueofferynges of the corne, wine and oyle vnto the chestes. And ther shal be the vessels of the sanctuarye, & the priestes that minyster, and the porters and syngers, that we forsake not the house of oure God.

¹⁰ Be wyse nowe therfore, O ye Kinges, be warned, ye that are iudges of the earthe. ¹¹ Serue the Lorde wyth feare, and reioyse before hym wyth reuerence. ¹² Kysse the sonne, lest the Lorde be angrye and so ye peryshe from the ryght way. For his wrath shalbe kindled shortly: blessed are all they that put their trust in hym.

⁶ Thou destroiest the lyers: the Lord abhorreth the bloude thursty and disceatful.

⁵ Therfore shall they be brought in greate feare, for God standeth by the generacion of the righteous.

³ For thou hast preuented him with liberal blessinges, and set a croune of golde vpon hys head.

²³ But as for them, thou (O God) shalt cast doune into the pytte of destruccion. The bloudthrustye & disceatfull shall not lyue out half their dayes. Neuerthelesse my trust is in the.

¹⁰ The ryghteous shal reioyse when he seith the vengeaunce, and shall washe hys fete in the bloud of the vngodly. ¹¹ So that men shall saye, verelye there is a rewarde for the righteous: doutles, there is a God that iudgeth the earth.

¹⁰ When it goeth well with the righteous, the cytye is mery: and when the vngodly perish, there is gladnesse.

² Wher the rightuous haue the ouer hand the people are in prosperitye: but wher the vngodly beareth rule, ther the people mourne.

¹² For a man knoweth not his tyme, but like as the fishes are taken wyth the angle and as the byrdes are catched with the snare Euen so are men taken in the perilous time, when it commeth sodenly vpon them.

And when it is nowe buylded, and set vp of this fashyon it shall neuer be broken, nor caste doune any more.

⁷ for he had sayde vnto them: When ye haue defyled the temple, and fylled the courte wyth the slayne, then go your waye forth. So they went oute, & slewe doune the slaughter,

² Then sayde the Lorde vnto me: This dore shall be styll shut, and not opened for enye man to go thorow it, but only for the Lorde God of Israell, yee he shall go thorowe it, els shal it be shut styll. ³ The prynce hym selfe shall come thorow it, that he maye eate bread before the Lorde. As for the false prophetes also & the vnclene spirit, I shal take them out of the land: ³ so that yf any of them prophecy any more, hys owne father and mother that begat him, shal saye vnto him: Thou shalt dye, for thou speakest lyes vnder the name of the Lord: yea his owne father and mother that begat him, shal wound him, when he prophecieth.

² For as ye iudge so, shall ye be iudged. And with what measur ye meate, with the same shal it be measured to you agayne.

¹⁶ Beholde I sende you forth as shepe among wolues. Be ye therfore wyse as serpentes, and innocent as doues.

¹ Therfore arte thou inexcusable (O man) whosoeuer thou be that iudgest. For in that same wherin thou iudgest another, thou condemnest thy selfe. For thou that iudgeste doest euen the same selfe thynges. ² But we are sure that the iudgement of God is accordynge to trueth agaynst them, which committe suche thinges.

¹⁵ Take hede therfore that ye walke circumspectlye: not as foles, but as wyse

⁹ Neuertheles we yet se not all thinges subdued, but him that was made lesse then the Angelles, we se that it was Iesus, whiche is crowned with glory and honoure for the suffering of death, that he by the grace of God, should taste of death for al men.

¹² Happy is the man that endureth in temptacyon, for when he is tryed, he shal receyue the croune of lyfe, which the Lorde hath promised to them that loue hym.

⁵ Harken my deare beloued brethren. Hath not God chosen the pore of thys world, which are ryche in faythe, and heyres of the kyngedome whiche he promysed to them that loue hym?

¹³ For there shalbe iudgemente mercyles to hym, that sheweth no mercy, & mercy reioyseth against iudgemente.

⁴ And about the seate were .xxiiij. seates. And vpon the seates .xxiiij. elders syttynge clothed in whyte rayment, & had on their heades crounes of golde.

⁵ And I heard an angel say: Lord which art & wast, thou art rightuous & holy, because thou hast geuen such iudgementes, ⁶ for they shed out the bloud of sainctes, & prophetes, & therfore hast thou geuen them bloud to drinke, for they are worthy. ⁷ And I heard another out of the aulter saye, euen so Lord God almyghty, true, and ryghtuous are thy iudgementes.

²⁰ Reioice ouer her thou heauen, and ye holy Apostles, & prophetes: for God hath geuen your iudgemente on her.

Saluacion and glory and honoure, & power be ascribed to the Lorde oure God, ² for true and ryghteous are his iudgementes, for he hath iudged that great whore, whiche dyd corrupte the earth with her fornicacion, & hath auenged the bloude of his seruauntes of her hand. ³ And again they said: Alleluia. And smoke rose vp for euermore. ⁴ And the .xxiij. elders, & the .iiij. beastes fel doune, & worshipped God that sate on the seat sayinge: Amen Alleluia.
