¹² I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind; I am like a broken vessel.

⁹ You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

⁴ I am counted with those who go down to the Pit; I am like a feeble man; ⁵ free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom You remember no more; and by Your hand they are cut off.

⁸³ For I am like a wineskin in the smoke; I do not forget Your Precepts.

¹⁴ And He shall break it as the breaking of the potters' vessel that is broken in pieces. He shall have no pity, so that there shall not be found in the breaking of it a shard to take fire from the hearth, or to take water out of the pit.

¹¹ I said, I shall not see Jah, Jehovah, in the land of the living; I shall look on man no more with the people of the world. ¹² My generation is departed and removed from me like a shepherd's tent; I have cut off my life like a weaver; He will cut me off from the loom; from day even to night You will make an end of me.

²¹ Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel to honor and another to dishonor? ²² What if God, willing to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much long-suffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction;

²⁷ And he will rule them with a rod of iron, as the vessels of a potter they will be broken to pieces, even as I received from My Father.
