⁹ Then they will deliver you up to be afflicted and will kill you. And you will be hated of all nations for My name's sake.

¹⁷ But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to the sanhedrins, and they will scourge you in their synagogues. ¹⁸ And you shall be brought before governors and kings for My sake, for a testimony against them and the nations. ¹⁹ But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what you shall speak; for it shall be given you in that same hour what you shall speak. ²⁰ For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. ²¹ And brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. And the children shall rise up against their parents and cause them to be put to death. ²² And you will be hated of all men for My name's sake, but the one who endures to the end shall be kept safe.

⁶ And the rest took his servants and treated them spitefully, and killed them.

³⁴ Therefore, behold, I send prophets and wise men and scribes to you. And you will kill and crucify some of them. And some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city;

⁹ But take heed to yourselves. For they shall deliver you up to sanhedrins, and in the synagogues you shall be beaten. And you shall be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony against them. ¹⁰ And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all nations. ¹¹ But whenever they lead you away and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what you should speak or think. But speak whatever shall be given to you in that hour. For it is not you who speaks, but the Holy Spirit. ¹² And a brother will betray a brother to death, and a father his son. And children will rise up against their parents and will cause them to be put to death. ¹³ And you will be hated by all for My name's sake, but he enduring to the end, that one will be kept safe.

⁴⁹ Therefore the wisdom of God also said, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute,

¹² But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for My name's sake.

¹⁶ And you shall be betrayed also by parents and brothers and kinsmen and friends. And they will cause some of you to be put to death. ¹⁷ And you shall be hated by all for My name's sake.

¹⁹ If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. ²⁰ Remember the word that I said to you, The servant is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they have kept My saying, they will also keep yours.

² They shall put you out of the synagogue. But an hour is coming that everyone who kills you will think that he bears God service.

² being grieved that they taught the people, even to announce through Jesus the resurrection from the dead. ³ And they laid hands on them and put them under guard until the next day, for it was already evening.

⁴⁰ And they obeyed him. And calling the apostles, beating them, they commanded not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. ⁴¹ Then indeed they departed from the presence of the sanhedrin, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to be shamed for His name.

⁵⁹ And they stoned Stephen, who was calling on God and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

¹ And at that time Herod the king threw on his hands to oppress some of those of the church. ² And he killed James the brother of John with the sword. ³ And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he went further to seize Peter also. (And they were days of Unleavened Bread.) ⁴ And capturing him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four sets of four soldiers to keep him; intending to bring him out to the people after the Passover. ⁵ Then, indeed, Peter was kept in prison. But earnest prayer was made to God for him by the church.

³¹ And as they were seeking to kill him, the news came to the chiliarch of the cohort, that all Jerusalem was in an uproar. ³² He immediately took soldiers and centurions, and ran down to them. And seeing the chiliarch and the soldiers, they quit beating Paul.

¹⁹ And I said, Lord, they know that I was imprisoning and beating those who believed on You throughout the synagogues. ²⁰ And when the blood of Your martyr Stephen was poured out, I also was standing by and consenting to his death, and holding the garments of those who killed him. ²¹ And He said to me, Go, for I will send you far away to the nations. ²² And they listened to him until this word, and then they lifted up their voice, saying, Take such a one from the earth! For it is not fitting that he should live.

²² But we think it right to hear from you what you think. For truly as concerning this sect, it is known to us that it is spoken against everywhere.

¹⁴ For you, brothers, became imitators of the churches of God which are in Judea in Christ Jesus. For you also have suffered these things by your own countrymen, even as they also by the Jews; ¹⁵ who both killed the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, also driving us out and they do not please God and being contrary to all men, ¹⁶ forbidding us to speak to the nations that they might be saved, to fill up their sins always; but the wrath has come upon them to the uttermost.

¹⁶ But if one suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God because of this.

¹⁰ Do not at all fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the Devil will cast some of you into prison, so that you may be tried. And you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful to death, and I will give you the crown of life.

¹³ I know your works, and where you live, even where Satan's seat is . And you hold fast My name and have not denied My faith, even in those days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwells.

⁹ And when He had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the Word of God, and for the testimony which they held. ¹⁰ And they cried with a loud voice, saying, Until when, Master, holy and true, do You not judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth? ¹¹ And white robes were given to each one of them. And it was said to them that they should rest yet for a little time, until both their fellow servants and their brothers (those about to be killed as they were) should have their number made complete.

¹⁴ And I said to him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are the ones who came out of the great tribulation and have washed their robes, and have whitened them in the blood of the Lamb.
