⁴² But one thing is needful, and Mary has chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

¹⁹ I call Heaven and earth to record today against you. I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore, choose life, so that both you and your seed may live,

¹⁵ And if it seems evil to you to serve Jehovah, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served Beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you live. But as for me and my house, we will serve Jehovah.

²² And Joshua said to the people, You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen Jehovah, to serve Him. And they said, We are witnesses.

⁵ Jehovah is the portion of my inheritance, and of my cup; You shall uphold my lot. ⁶ The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; yea, I have a beautiful inheritance.

¹⁵ As for me, I will behold Your face in righteousness; when I awake, I shall be satisfied with Your image.

⁴ One thing I have desired from Jehovah, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of Jehovah, and to pray in His temple.

²⁵ Whom have I in Heaven? And besides You I desire none on earth.

³⁰ I have chosen the way of truth; I have laid Your judgments before me.

¹¹¹ I have taken Your testimonies as an inheritance forever; for they are the rejoicing of my heart.

¹⁷³ Let Your hand help me; for I have chosen Your Precepts.

⁵ I cried to You, O Jehovah; I said, You are my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.

¹³ Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter. Fear God, and keep His commandments. For this is the whole duty of man.

³⁶ For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?

¹⁸ Therefore be careful how you hear. For whoever has, to him shall be given; and whoever has not, from him shall be taken even that which he seems to have.

²⁰ But God said to him, Fool! This night your soul shall be required of you, then whose shall be those things which you have prepared?

³³ Sell what you have and give alms. Make for yourselves purses which do not become old, an unfailing treasure in Heaven, where no thief comes nor moth corrupts.

² And he called him and said to him, What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your stewardship, for you may no longer be steward.

²⁵ But Abraham said, Son, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things. But now he is comforted and you are tormented.

²² And when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, Yet you lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you shall have treasure in Heaven. And come, follow Me.

¹⁴ but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst, but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

²⁴ Truly, truly, I say to you, He who hears My Word and believes on Him who sent Me has everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation, but has passed from death to life.

²⁷ My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. ²⁸ And I give to them eternal life, and they shall never ever perish, and not anyone shall pluck them out of My hand.

³ And this is life eternal, that they might know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

³⁵ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? ³⁶ As it is written, "For Your sake we are killed all the day long. We are counted as sheep of slaughter." ³⁷ But in all these things we more than conquer through Him who loved us. ³⁸ For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, ³⁹ nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

³ And though I give out all my goods to feed the poor, and though I deliver my body to be burned, and have not charity, I am profited nothing.

⁶ For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any strength, but faith working through love.

¹⁰ And you are complete in Him, who is the Head of all principality and power, ¹¹ in whom also you are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ, ¹² buried with Him in baptism, in whom also you were raised through the faith of the working of God, raising Him from the dead. ¹³ And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, ¹⁴ blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross. ¹⁵ Having stripped rulers and authorities, He made a show of them publicly, triumphing over them in it. ¹⁶ Therefore let no one judge you in food or in drink, or in respect of a feast, or of the new moon, or of the sabbaths. ¹⁷ For these are a shadow of things to come, but the body is of Christ. ¹⁸ Let no one defraud you, delighting in humility and worship of the angels, intruding into things which he has not seen, without a cause being vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, ¹⁹ and not holding the Head, from whom all the body, having been supplied through the joints and bands, and having been joined together, will grow with the growth of God.

³ For you died, and your life has been hidden with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ our Life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

⁴ to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, and unfading, reserved in Heaven for you ⁵ by the power of God, having been kept through faith to a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time;

¹¹ And this is the record, that God has given to us everlasting life, and this life is in His Son. ¹² He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
