⁶ And I brought your fathers out of Egypt. And you came to the sea, and the Egyptians followed after your fathers with chariots and horsemen to the Red Sea.

³⁷ And the sons of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, the men being about six hundred thousand men on foot, apart from little ones.

⁵¹ And it happened the very same day, that Jehovah brought the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.

¹ And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, ² Speak to the sons of Israel that they turn and camp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, over against Baal-zephon. You shall camp before it, by the sea. ³ For Pharaoh will say of the sons of Israel, They are tangled in the land; the wilderness has shut them in. ⁴ And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he will follow them. And I will be honored upon Pharaoh, and upon all his army, so that the Egyptians may know that I am Jehovah. And they did so. ⁵ And the king of Egypt was told that the people fled. And the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people. And they said, Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us? ⁶ And he made his chariot ready, and took his people with him. ⁷ And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over every one of them. ⁸ And Jehovah hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt. And he pursued the sons of Israel, and the sons of Israel went out with a high hand. ⁹ But the Egyptians pursued them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army. And they overtook them camping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baal-zephon. ¹⁰ And Pharaoh drew near, the sons of Israel lifted up their eyes. And, behold, the Egyptians marched after them. And they were very afraid. And the sons of Israel cried out to Jehovah. ¹¹ And they said to Moses, Have you taken us away to die in the wilderness because there were no graves in Egypt? Why have you dealt this way with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? ¹² Did we not tell you this word in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, so that we may serve the Egyptians? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness. ¹³ And Moses said to the people, Do not fear. Stand still and see the salvation of Jehovah, which He will prepare for you this day. For the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you shall never see them anymore. ¹⁴ Jehovah shall fight for you, and you shall be silent. ¹⁵ And Jehovah said to Moses, Why do you cry to Me? Speak to the sons of Israel, that they go forward.

¹¹ And You divided the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on the dry land. And their pursuers You threw into the deep, like a stone into the mighty waters.

¹⁵ You have with Your arm redeemed Your people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah. ¹⁶ The waters saw You, O God, the waters saw You; they were afraid; the depths also were troubled. ¹⁷ The clouds poured out water; the skies sent out a sound; Your arrows also flew here and there. ¹⁸ The voice of Your thunder was in the sky; the lightnings lit up the world; the earth trembled and shook. ¹⁹ Your way is in the sea, and Your path in the great waters, and Your footsteps are not known. ²⁰ You led Your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

¹³ He divided the sea and caused them to pass through; and He made the waters to stand in a heap.

¹³ to Him who divided the Red Sea into parts; for His mercy endures forever; ¹⁴ and made Israel to pass through the middle of it; for His mercy endures forever; ¹⁵ but threw Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea; for His mercy endures forever.

¹² who led them by the right hand of Moses with His glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make Himself an everlasting name? ¹³ He led them through the deep, like a horse in the wilderness, so that they would not stumble.

⁴ For I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of slaves; and I sent Moses, Aaron, and Miriam before you.

³⁶ He brought them out after he had worked wonders and miracles in the land of Egypt and in the Red Sea and in the wilderness forty years.

²⁹ By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land, which the Egyptians attempting to do were drowned.
