⁵ I sent Moses also, and Aaron, and I plagued Egypt, according to that which I did among them. And afterward I brought you out.

¹⁰ And now go, and I will send you to Pharaoh, that you may bring forth My people, the sons of Israel, out of Egypt.

¹² And now go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say. ¹³ And he said, O my Lord, I pray You, send by the hand of him whom You will send. ¹⁴ And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Moses. And He said, Do I not know Aaron the Levite, your brother that he can speak well? And also, behold, he comes forth to meet you. And when he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.

¹ And Jehovah said to Moses, See, I have made you a god to Pharaoh. And Aaron your brother shall be your prophet. ² You shall speak all that I command you. And Aaron your brother shall speak to Pharaoh, he will send the sons of Israel out of his land. ³ And I will harden Pharaoh's heart and multiply My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt. ⁴ But Pharaoh shall not listen to you, and I will lay My hand upon Egypt, and bring My armies, My people the sons of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments. ⁵ And the Egyptians shall know that I am Jehovah when I stretch forth My hand upon Egypt, and bring out the sons of Israel from among them. ⁶ And Moses and Aaron did as Jehovah commanded them; so they did. ⁷ And Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron was eighty-three years old, when they spoke to Pharaoh. ⁸ And Jehovah spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying: ⁹ When Pharaoh shall speak to you saying, Give a miracle for yourselves, you shall say to Aaron, Take your rod, and throw it in front of Pharaoh. It shall become a snake. ¹⁰ And Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh. And they did so, as Jehovah had commanded. And Aaron threw down his rod in front of Pharaoh and in front of his servants, and it became a snake. ¹¹ Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers. And they, the magicians of Egypt, did the same with their secret arts. ¹² For each man threw down his rod, and they became snakes. But Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.

³⁷ And the sons of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, the men being about six hundred thousand men on foot, apart from little ones.

⁵¹ And it happened the very same day, that Jehovah brought the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.

⁴³ how He had set His signs in Egypt, and His wonders in the fields of Zoan. ⁴⁴ He turned their rivers into blood, and their floods, so that they could not drink. ⁴⁵ He sent different kinds of flies among them, which devoured them; and frogs, which destroyed them. ⁴⁶ He also gave their crops to the stripping locust, and their labor to the locust. ⁴⁷ He destroyed their vines with hail, and their sycamore trees with sleet. ⁴⁸ He gave up their cattle to the hail, and their flocks to bolts of fire. ⁴⁹ He sent on them the heat of His anger, wrath and fury and trouble, by sending evil angels. ⁵⁰ He made a way to His anger; He did not save their soul from death, but gave their life over to the plague, ⁵¹ and struck all the first-born in Egypt, the first of the strong in the tents of Ham;

²⁶ He sent Moses His servant, and Aaron whom He had chosen. ²⁷ They showed His signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham. ²⁸ He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they did not rebel against His Word. ²⁹ He turned their waters into blood, and killed their fish. ³⁰ Their land swarmed with frogs in the rooms of their kings. ³¹ He spoke, and there came fly swarms and gnats in all their borders. ³² He gave them hail for rain and flaming fire in their land. ³³ He struck their vines also and their fig trees, and broke the trees of their borders. ³⁴ He spoke, and locusts came, and larvae without number; ³⁵ and they ate up all the plants in their land, and ate the fruit of their ground. ³⁶ He also struck all the first-born in their land, the chief of all their strength.

⁸ He who struck the first-born of Egypt, both of man and animal; ⁹ who sent signs and wonders into your midst, O Egypt, on Pharaoh and on all his servants;

¹⁰ To Him who struck Egypt in their first-born; for His mercy endures forever;
