¹ Likewise, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, so that if any do not obey the Word, they may also be won without the Word by the conduct of the wives,

¹⁶ To the woman He said, I will greatly increase your sorrow and your conception. In pain you shall bear sons, and your desire shall be toward your husband, and he shall rule over you.

¹⁶ And Memucan answered before the king and princes, Vashti the queen has not only done wrong to the king, but also to all the princes, and to all the people who are in all the provinces of King Ahasuerus. ¹⁷ For the matter of the queen shall go out to all women, so that their husbands shall be despised in their eyes, and it shall be reported that King Ahasuerus commanded to bring Vashti the queen in before him, but she did not come. ¹⁸ And this day the princesses of Persia and Media shall say the same to all the king's princes who have heard of the deed of the queen. And there will be contempt and strife. ¹⁹ If it please the king, let there be a royal command from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes, so that it may not be changed, that Vashti come no more before King Ahasuerus. And let the king give her royal state to another who is better than she is. ²⁰ And when the king's decree which he shall make shall be published throughout all his empire (for it is great), all the wives shall give their husbands honor, both the great and small.

³⁰ The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he who takes souls is wise.

¹⁹ A brother offended is like a strong city; and their disagreements are like the bars of a fortress.

¹⁵ But if your brother shall trespass against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother.

¹⁷ But thanks be to our God that you were the slaves of sin, but you have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered.

² For the married woman was bound by law to the living husband. But if the husband is dead, she is set free from the law of her husband.

¹⁶ But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our report?"

¹⁶ For what do you know, O wife, whether you shall save your husband? Or what do you know, O man, whether you shall save your wife?

¹⁹ For though I am free from all, yet I have made myself servant to all, so that I might gain the more. ²⁰ And to the Jews I became as a Jew, so that I might gain the Jews. To those who are under the Law, I became as under the Law, so that I might gain those who are under the Law. ²¹ To those who are outside Law, I became as outside Law (not being outside law to God, but under the Law to Christ), so that I might gain those who are outside Law. ²² To the weak I became as the weak, so that I might gain the weak. I am made all things to all men, so that I might by all means save some.

³ But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

³⁴ Let your women be silent in the churches; for it is not permitted to them to speak, but to be in subjection, as the Law also says.

²² Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord. ²³ For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. ²⁴ Therefore as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.

³³ But also let everyone of you in particular so love his wife even as himself, and the wife that she defers to her husband.

¹⁸ Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as is becoming in the Lord.

⁵ Walk in wisdom toward those on the outside, redeeming the time.

⁸ in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God and who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ,

¹¹ Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. ¹² But I do not allow a woman to teach, or to exercise authority over a man, but to be in silence.

³ Let the aged women likewise be in reverent behavior, not slanderers, not enslaved by much wine, teachers of good; ⁴ that they may train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, ⁵ to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, subject to their own husbands, that the Word of God may not be blasphemed. ⁶ Likewise exhort the young men to be discreet;

⁹ And being perfected, He became the Author of eternal salvation to all those who obey Him,

⁸ By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out into a place which he was afterward going to receive for an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he went.

¹⁹ Brothers, if anyone among you err from the truth, and if anyone turns him back, ²⁰ know that he who turns back the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

²² Purifying your souls in the obedience of the truth through the Spirit to unfeigned love of the brothers, love one another fervently out of a pure heart,

⁷ Likewise, husbands, live together according to knowledge, giving honor to the wife as to the weaker vessel, the female, as truly being co-heirs together of the grace of life, not cutting off your prayers.

¹⁷ For the time has come for the judgment to begin from the house of God. And if it first begins from us, what will be the end of those disobeying the gospel of God?
