The oracle utters transgression to the wicked within my heart: There is no fear of God before his eyes. ² For he flatters himself in his own eyes in order to find his iniquity, in order to hate it . ³ The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit; he ceases to act wisely, to do good. ⁴ He plots evil on his bed; he sets himself on a way that is not good; he does not hate evil. ⁵ Your mercy, O Jehovah, is in the heavens; Your faithfulness to the dust clouds . ⁶ Your righteousness is like the hills of God; Your judgments are a great deep; O Jehovah, You preserve animal and man. ⁷ How precious is Your mercy, O God! And the sons of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings. ⁸ They shall be satisfied from the abundance of Your house; and You make them drink the torrent of Your pleasures. ⁹ For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light. ¹⁰ O continue Your mercy to the ones knowing You, and Your righteousness to the upright of heart. ¹¹ Do not let the foot of pride come to me; and let not the hand of the wicked move me. ¹² There the workers of evil have fallen; they are cast down and are not able to rise.

¹¹ And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place, and they will kill me for my wife's sake.

⁵ And Moses the servant of Jehovah died there in the land of Moab, according to the command of Jehovah.

¹³ And Samuel came to Saul. And Saul said to him, Blessed are you of Jehovah. I have risen to do the word of Jehovah. ¹⁴ And Samuel said, What then is this bleating of the flock in my ears, and the sound of the herd that I hear.

¹ To the chief musician, A Psalm of David, the servant of Jehovah, who spoke the words of this song to Jehovah in the day that Jehovah delivered him from the hand of all his foes, and from the hand of Saul. And he said: I love You, O Jehovah, my strength.

¹ A Prayer of Moses, the Man of God. O Lord, You have been our dwelling-place in all generations.

¹ Praise Jehovah! Blessed is the man who fears Jehovah, delighting greatly in His commands.

¹² And in Your mercy cut off my enemies; and destroy all those who afflict my soul; for I am Your servant.

¹³ The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil; I hate pride and loftiness, and the evil way, and the perverse mouth.

⁶ Iniquity is covered by mercy and truth, and in the fear of Jehovah, men turn aside from evil.

¹¹ Even a child is known by his acts, whether his work is pure, or upright.

¹³ Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments; for this applies to every man.

¹⁶ From their fruits you shall know them. Do they gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? ¹⁷ So every good tree produces good fruits, but the corrupt tree produces evil fruits. ¹⁸ A good tree cannot produce evil fruits, nor a corrupt tree produce good fruits. ¹⁹ Every tree not producing good fruit is cut down and is thrown into fire. ²⁰ Then surely from their fruits you shall know them.

³³ Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree corrupt and its fruit corrupt; for the tree is known by the fruit. ³⁴ Offspring of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

²⁴ But a slave of the Lord ought not to quarrel, but to be gentle towards all, apt to teach, forbearing,

¹ Paul, a slave of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ according to the faith of the elect of God and full knowledge of the truth according to godliness,

¹⁶ They profess to know God, but by their works they deny Him, being abominable and disobedient, and worthless to every good work.

¹ Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those equally precious with us, having obtained faith in the righteousness of our God and our Savior, Jesus Christ:

¹ A Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to Him to show to His slaves things which must occur quickly. And He signified by sending through His angel to His slave, John,

¹⁹ and it happens when he hears the words of this curse, that he should bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, even though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart, to snatch away the drunken with the thirsty.

¹⁸ And Jehovah sent you on the way, and said, Go, and exterminate the sinners, Amalek; and fight against them until they finish them. ¹⁹ Then why did you not listen to the voice of Jehovah? Yea, you flew on the spoil, and did you not do evil in the eyes of Jehovah. ²⁰ And Saul said to Samuel, I did obey the voice of Jehovah, and I went in the way which Jehovah sent me, and brought Agag the king of Amalek, and I exterminated Amalek. ²¹ And the people took from the spoil of the flock, and the first of the herd, that devoted, to sacrifice to Jehovah your God in Gilgal. ²² And Samuel said, Does Jehovah delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of Jehovah? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice! To give attention is better than the fat of rams. ²³ For the sin of divination is rebellion; insolence is both iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of Jehovah, so He has rejected you from being king. ²⁴ And Saul said to Samuel, I have sinned, for I have transgressed the mouth of Jehovah and your word, because I feared the people, and I listened to their voice.

¹³ And Saul died because of his trespass that he trespassed against Jehovah, against the word of Jehovah that he did not keep, and also for asking of a medium, to inquire; ¹⁴ and did not inquire of Jehovah. Then He killed him, and turned the kingdom to David the son of Jesse.

³ For the wicked boasts of his soul's desire, and he has blessed the covetous; he has despised Jehovah.

¹⁸ For in his life he blessed his soul; yea, men praise you when you do well for yourself.

²³ How can you say, I am not defiled; I have not gone after Baals? See your way in the valley; know what you have done! You are a swift camel crossing her ways;

³⁴ Also on your skirts is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocents; you did not find them breaking in, but on all these. ³⁵ Yet you say, Because I am innocent, surely His anger shall turn from me. Behold, I will judge with you, because you say, I have not sinned.

⁹ The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is incurable; who can know it?

⁷ He is a merchant; the scales of deceit are in his hand; he loves to oppress. ⁸ And Ephraim said, I am rich; I have found much wealth for myself. In all my labors they shall find in me no iniquity that is sin.

²⁹ But desiring to justify himself, he said to Jesus, And who is my neighbor?

¹⁴ And being lovers of money, the Pharisees also heard all these things; and they derided Him. ¹⁵ And He said to them, You are those justifying yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts; for the thing highly prized among men is a hateful thing before God.

⁹ What then? Do we excel? Not at all! For we have charged both Jews and Greeks before, all with being under sin;

⁹ And I was alive apart from law once, but the commandment came, and sin came alive, and I died.

³ For being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not submit to the righteousness of God.

⁶ And the Spirit of God came powerfully on Saul when he heard these words, and his anger glowed greatly. ⁷ And he took the team of oxen and cut them in pieces, and he sent them into all the boundary of Israel, by the hand of the messengers, saying, Whoever does not come out after Saul and after Samuel, so it shall be done to his oxen. And the fear of Jehovah fell on the people. And they came out as one man. ⁸ And he mustered them in Bezek, and the sons of Israel were three hundred thousand, and the men of Judah, thirty thousand. ⁹ And they said to the messengers who came, So you shall say to the men of Jabesh-gilead. Tomorrow there shall be deliverance for you, in the heat of the sun. And the messengers came and related this to the men of Jabesh; and they rejoiced. ¹⁰ And the men of Jabesh said, Tomorrow we will come out to you, and you do to us according to all the good in your eyes. ¹¹ And it was on the next day Saul put the people in three heads, and they came into the midst of the camp in the morning watch and they struck Ammon until the heat of the day. And it was, the ones left were scattered; in them were not two left together. ¹² And the people said to Samuel, Who is he saying, Shall Saul reign over us? Give the men and we will put them to death. ¹³ And Saul said, Not a man shall be put to death on this day, for today Jehovah worked deliverance in Israel.

¹³ And Samuel said to Saul, You have acted foolishly that you have not kept the command of Jehovah your God which He commanded you. For now Jehovah would have established your kingdom over Israel forever. ¹⁴ But now your kingdom shall not stand. Jehovah has sought out for Himself a man according to His own heart, and Jehovah has appointed him as leader over His people. For you have not kept that which Jehovah commanded you.

²⁶ And Samuel said to Saul, I will not return with you, for you have rejected the word of Jehovah and Jehovah has rejected you from being king over Israel.

¹⁴ And the Spirit of Jehovah departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from Jehovah terrified him.

²¹ And Saul said, I will give her to him, and she shall be a snare to him. And the hand of the Philistines shall be on him. And Saul said to David a second time, You shall be my son-in-law today.

⁶ And Saul listened to Jonathan's voice, and Saul swore, As Jehovah lives he shall not die. ⁷ And Jonathan called David, and Jonathan told him all these words. And Jonathan brought David to Saul, and he was before him as yesterday and the day before.

²¹ And Saul said, I have sinned. Return, my son David, for I shall not do evil to you any more, because my life has been precious in your eyes today. Behold, I have acted foolishly, and I have erred exceedingly much.

⁹ For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is engulfing ruin; their throat is an open grave; they flatter with their tongue.

⁷ His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and injury; under his tongue are mischief and vanity.

² They speak vanity, each man with his neighbor; with flattering lips and a double heart they speak. ³ Jehovah shall cut off all with flattering lips and the tongue that speaks great things;

²¹ The butterings of his mouth were smooth, and war was in his heart; his words were softer than oil, but they were as drawn swords.

³ The wicked are estranged from the womb; they go astray from the belly, speaking lies.

⁸ Understand you beastly ones among the people; yea, you fools, when will you be wise?

⁵ And those who turn aside to their crooked ways, Jehovah shall lead them with the evildoers. Peace be upon Israel.

³ They sharpen their tongues like a snake; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah.

²² For My people are foolish. They do not know Me. They are stupid children, and they have no understanding. They are wise to do evil, but they do not know to do good.

⁶ and those drawing back from after Jehovah, and who have not sought Jehovah, nor asked of Him.

¹⁵ Then going, the Pharisees took counsel so as they might trap Him in words. ¹⁶ And they sent to Him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that you are true, and teach the way of God in truth, and it does not concern you about anyone, for you do not look to the face of men. ¹⁷ Then tell us, what do you think? Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not? ¹⁸ But knowing their wickedness, Jesus said, Why do you test Me, hypocrites?

³⁵ And one of them, a lawyer, questioned Him, testing Him, and saying,

³⁹ But we are not of those withdrawing to destruction, but of faith, to the preservation of the soul.

¹⁹ They went out from us, but they were not of us. For if they were of us, they would have remained with us; but they left so that it might be revealed that they all are not of us.

¹¹ And Saul sent messengers to David's house to watch him, and to kill him in the morning. And his wife Michal told David, saying, If you do not escape with your life tonight, tomorrow you will be killed.

¹⁴ And his wife Zeresh and all his friends said to him, Make a wooden gallows fifty cubits high, and tomorrow speak to the king and let them hang Mordecai on it; and go rejoicing in with the king to the banquet. And the thing was good in Haman's eyes. And he caused the wooden gallows to be made.

⁴ And the king said, Who is in the I court? And Haman had come into the outer court of the king's house to speak to the king to hang Mordecai on the wooden gallows which he had built for him.

¹⁶ How much more is filthy man loathed, who drinks iniquity like water!

¹² And those seeking my life lay a snare; yea, those seeking my evil speak ruin, and they utter deceits all the day long.

³ You love evil more than good; lying more than to speak righteousness. Selah.

¹⁰ You who love Jehovah, hate evil. He keeps the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.

¹⁶ For they do not sleep if they have done no evil, and their sleep is taken away unless they cause some to fall.

²³ These also are for the wise: to respect persons in judgment is not good.

² I have spread out My hands all the day long to a rebellious people who walk in the way not good, after their own thoughts;

¹⁶ So says Jehovah, Stand by the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; and you shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk in it .

⁶ I listened and heard. They did not speak so. No man repented because of this evil, saying, What have I done? Everyone turned in their own courses, as a horse rushes into the battle.

² Oh, that I had a lodging place for travelers in the wilderness, that I might leave my people and go away from them! For they are all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous ones. ³ And they bend their tongues, their bow is a lie. And they are not mighty for the truth on the earth, for they go from evil to evil. They also do not know Me, says Jehovah. ⁴ Let everyone be on guard against his neighbor, and do not trust any brother. For every brother will supplant, and every neighbor will walk as a slanderer. ⁵ And everyone will deceive his neighbor, and they will not speak the truth. They have taught their tongue to speak lies. They weary themselves to commit iniquity. ⁶ Your home is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know Me says Jehovah. ⁷ For this reason, so says Jehovah of Hosts, Behold, I will refine them and test them. For what else can I do because of the daughter of My people? ⁸ Their tongue is a murdering arrow; it speaks deceit. One speaks peace with his neighbor with his mouth, but in his heart he sets his ambush. ⁹ Shall I not visit them for these things ? says Jehovah. Or shall not My soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

⁶ For they have brought their heart near, like an oven, while they lie in wait. Their baker sleeps all night; in the morning, it burns like a flaming fire. ⁷ They are all hot as an oven, and devour their judges. All their kings have fallen; not one among them calls to Me.

¹⁵ Hate evil, and love good, and establish justice in the gate. It may be that Jehovah the God of hosts will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.

¹ Woe to those plotting wickedness and preparing evil on their beds! In the light of the morning they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand.

⁸ O man, He has declared to you what is good. And what does Jehovah require of you, but to do justice, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

¹ And it becoming early morning, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel together against Jesus, so as to put Him to death.

¹² And it becoming day, some of the Jews making a conspiracy cursed themselves, saying neither to eat nor to drink until they should kill Paul.

³² who knowing the righteous order of God, that those practicing such things are worthy of death, not only do them, but also applaud those practicing them .

⁹ Let love be without dissimulation, shrinking from evil, cleaving to the good,

² I know your works, and your labor, and your patience, and that you cannot bear evil ones; and you tried those pretending to be apostles and are not, and found them to be liars.

¹ To the chief musician. A Contemplation. A Psalm of David when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said to him, David has come to the house of Ahimelech. Why do you boast yourself in evil, O hero? The mercy of God is all the day.

¹⁰ For Your mercy is great to the heavens, and Your truth to the clouds.

² For I have said, Mercy shall be built up forever; You shall establish Your faithfulness in the heavens.

² to make Your mercy known in the morning, and Your faithfulness every night;

⁵ For Jehovah is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His faithfulness to generation and generation.

¹¹ For as the heavens are above the earth, so is His mercy mighty over those who fear Him.

⁴ For Your mercy is great above the heavens; and Your truth reaches to the clouds.

⁷ Let the wicked forsake his way and the vain man his thoughts; and let him return to Jehovah, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. ⁸ For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, says Jehovah. ⁹ For as the heavens are high from the earth, so My ways are high from your ways, and My thoughts from your thoughts.

³⁵ The heaven and the earth will pass away, but My words will never ever pass away.

¹⁸ that through two unchangeable things, in which it was not possible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, those having fled to lay hold on the hope set before us, ¹⁹ which we have as an anchor of the soul, both certain and sure, and entering into the inner side of the veil, Lev. 16:12 ²⁰ where Jesus entered as forerunner for us, having become a High Priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.

²⁵ Far be it from You to act in this way, to put to death the righteous with the wicked. Far be it from You. The Judge of all the earth, shall He not do right?

²⁸ Pray to Jehovah and let it be enough of the thunders and hail of God. And I will send you away and you shall not continue any longer.

⁴ He is the Rock; His work is perfect. For all His ways are just, a God of faithfulness, and without evil; just and upright is He.

¹⁵ And there was trembling in the camp in the field, and among all the people; the fort and the spoilers trembled, even them. And the ground quaked, and it was for a trembling of God.

⁶ You alone are He, O Jehovah; You have made the heavens, and heavens of the heavens, and all their host; the earth and all which is on it; the seas, and all that is in them; and You shall preserve them all alive. And the host of the heavens bows down to You.

²⁰ I have sinned; what do I do to You, O Watcher of man? Why have You set me as a target for You, so that I am a burden on myself?

⁷ Can you find out God by searching? Or can you find out the end of the Almighty? ⁸ Heights of the heavens! What can you do? It is deeper than Sheol; what can you know? ⁹ Its measure is longer than the earth, broader than the sea.

²³ We cannot find Him, the Almighty; He is exalted in power; and He does not violate justice and abundant righteousness.

¹⁹ And, Your righteousness, O God, is to the heights, You who have done great things. O God, who is like You?

¹⁹ Your way is in the sea; and Your path is in the great waters; and Your footsteps are not known.

⁵ O Jehovah, Your purposes are very deep. How great are Your works!

² Clouds and darkness are all around Him; righteousness and judgment are the foundation of His throne.

¹⁴ He causes the grass to grow for the livestock and plants for the service of man, to bring food out of the earth. ¹⁵ And wine cheers the heart of man; oil makes his face shine, and bread sustains the heart of man. ¹⁶ The trees of Jehovah are satisfied the cedars of Lebanon that He planted; ¹⁷ there where the birds nest; the fir trees are the house of the stork; ¹⁸ high hills are for the wild goats; rocks are a refuge for the badgers. ¹⁹ He made the moon for seasons; the sun knows its going down. ²⁰ You put darkness, and it is night; in it all the forest animals creep. ²¹ The young lions roar for prey, and to seek their food from God. ²² The sun rises; they are gathered, and go to their dens to lie down. ²³ Man goes out to his work, and to his labor until the evening. ²⁴ O Jehovah, how many are Your works! You have made all of them in wisdom; the earth is full of Your riches. ²⁵ This is the sea, great and wide on both hands; there are creeping things even without number; living things, small and great. ²⁶ There the ships go; You formed this great sea-animal to play in it. ²⁷ All of them wait for You to give them their food in due season. ²⁸ You give to them; they gather; You open Your hand, and they are filled with good. ²⁹ You hide Your face, and they are troubled; You gather their breath, and they expire and return to their dust. ³⁰ You send out Your Spirit, and they are created; and You renew the face of the earth. ³¹ The glory of Jehovah shall be forever; Jehovah shall rejoice in His works. ³² He looks to the earth, and it trembles; He touches the hills, and they smoke. ³³ I will sing to Jehovah during my life; I will sing praise to my God while I exist. ³⁴ My thoughts on Him shall be sweet; I will be glad in Jehovah. ³⁵ Let sinners perish from the earth and let the wicked be no more; bless Jehovah, O my soul; praise Jehovah!

⁹ Jehovah is good to all; and His tender mercies are over all His works.

¹⁶ You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. ¹⁷ Jehovah is righteous in all His ways, and kind in all His works.

⁹ He gives the animals their food, to the young ravens that cry.

²⁸ Have you not known? Have you not heard? Jehovah, the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth; He is not faint, nor does He grow weary; there is no searching to His understanding.

¹⁹ I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth. I did not say to Jacob's seed, Seek Me in vain. I Jehovah speak righteousness, declaring right things.

²¹ Declare and bring near; yea, let them consult together. Who has revealed this of old; who has told it from then? Is it not I, Jehovah? And there is no God other than Me; a just God and a Savior; there is none except Me. ²² Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other. ²³ I have sworn by Myself, the word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that to Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. ²⁴ He shall say, Only in Jehovah do I have righteousness and strength; to Him he comes; and they are ashamed, all who are angry with Him.

¹ Righteous are You, O Jehovah, when I might complain to You, yet let me speak with You of Your judgments. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why are all those who deal treacherously at ease?

¹¹ and should I not have pity on Nineveh, the great city in which are more than a hundred and twenty thousand men who do not know between the right and the left hand, and many cattle?

²⁹ Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion? Yet not one of them shall fall to the ground without your Father. ³⁰ But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.

²⁵ Answering at that time, Jesus said, I praise You, Father, Lord of Heaven and of Earth, because You hid these things from the sophisticated and cunning and revealed them to babes. ²⁶ Yes, Father, for so it was pleasing before You.

²⁵ whom God set forth as a propitiation through faith in His blood, for a showing forth of His righteousness through the passing by of the sins that had taken place before, in the forbearance of God,

³³ O the depth of the riches and of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!

¹⁰ for to this we also labor and are reproached, because we hope on the living God, who is deliverer of all men, especially of believers.

⁶ And Jehovah passed by before his face and called out: Jehovah! Jehovah God! Merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and great in goodness and truth,

¹² Jehovah shall repay your work, and your reward shall be complete from Jehovah the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.

⁸ Keep me as the pupil, the daughter of the eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings,

¹⁹ How great is Your goodness which You have laid up for those who fear You; You have worked for those who trust in You before the sons of mankind.

¹ To the chief musician. Do not destroy. A secret treasure of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave. Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me, for my soul trusts in You; yea, in the shadow of Your wings I will make my hiding place, until the great destruction passes by.

⁷ For You have been a help to me, and I will rejoice under the shadow of Your wings.

⁵ For You, O Lord, are good and ready to forgive, and rich in mercy to all who call on You.

¹⁵ But You, O God, are God, full of pity; and gracious, longsuffering and rich in mercy and truth.

⁴ With His feathers He will cover you, and under His wings you shall seek refuge; His truth is a shield and buckler.

¹⁷ And how precious are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!

⁷ They shall express the memory of Your great goodness, and they shall sing of Your righteousness. ⁸ Jehovah is gracious and merciful, long to anger and of great mercy;

³⁴ Jerusalem! Jerusalem! The one killing the prophets, and stoning those having been sent to her, how often I desired to gather your children in the way a hen gathers her brood under the wings, and you did not desire it .

¹⁶ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

⁶ Because of this, it is also contained in the Scripture: "Behold," I lay in Zion" an elect, "precious Stone," "a Corner-foundation;" "and the one believing in Him shall never in any way be ashamed." Isa. 28:16 ⁷ Then to you who believe belongs the preciousness. But to disobeying ones, He is the "Stone which those building rejected; this One became the Head-of-the-corner," Psa. 118:22

⁴ by which means He has given to us the very great and precious promises, so that through these you might be partakers of the divine nature, escaping from the corruption in the world by lust.

¹ See what manner of love the Father has given us, that we may be called children of God. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

⁹ By this the love of God was revealed in us, because His Son, the Only begotten, God has sent into the world that we might live through Him. ¹⁰ In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be a propitiation relating to our sins.

¹⁷ He shall not see the rivers, the flowings of torrents of honey and curd;

¹¹ You will make Me know the way of life. In Your presence is fullness of joys; at Your right hand are pleasures forever.

¹⁵ As for me, in righteousness I will look upon Your face; when I awaken, I shall be satisfied by Your image.

⁴ There is a river, its channels gladden the city of God, the holy tabernacles of the Most High.

⁵ My soul shall be satisfied, as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips,

⁴ Blessed is the one You choose and cause to come near You; he shall dwell in Your courts; we shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple.

¹ I have come into My garden, My sister, My spouse; I have gathered My myrrh with My spice. I have eaten My honeycomb with My honey; I have drunk My wine with My milk. Eat and drink, O friends; yea, drink fully, beloved ones.

⁶ And Jehovah of Hosts shall make a feast of fat things for all the peoples in this mountain; a feast of wine on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, refined wine on the lees.

²⁰ The beast of the field shall honor Me, jackals and daughters of ostriches; because I give waters in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to My people, My chosen.

²¹ And they did not thirst; He led them in the deserts; He made waters flow out of rock for them. And He cut open the rock and the water gushed out.

¹ Ho, everyone who thirsts, come to the water; and he who has no silver, come buy grain and eat. Yes, come buy grain, wine and milk without silver and with no price. ² Why do you weigh out silver for that which is not bread, and your labor for what never satisfies? Listen carefully to Me and eat the good; and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

¹¹ And Jehovah shall always guide you, and satisfy your soul in dry places, and support your bones. And you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.

¹² And they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and be radiant over the goodness of Jehovah, for grain, and for wine, and for oil, and for the sons of the flock and the herd. And their life shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not pine away any more at all. ¹³ Then the virgin shall rejoice in the dance, both young men and elders together. For I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them and make them rejoice from their sorrow. ¹⁴ And I will fill the soul of the priests with fatness, and My people shall be satisfied with My goodness, says Jehovah.

¹⁷ For how great is its goodness, and how great its beauty! Grain shall make the young men flourish, and new wine the virgins.

⁶ Blessed are they who hunger and thirst after righteousness! For they shall be filled.

³⁷ And in the last day of the great feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.

¹ And he showed me a pure river of water of life, bright as crystal, coming forth out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. ² In the midst of its street and of the river, from here and from there, was a tree of life producing twelve fruits: according to one month each yielding its fruit. And the leaves of the tree were for healing of the nations. ³ And every curse will no longer be. And the throne of God and the Lamb will be in it; and His slaves will serve Him. ⁴ And they will see His face; and His name will be on their foreheads. ⁵ And night will not be there; and they have no need of a lamp or a light of the sun, because the Lord God will shed light on them. And they shall reign forever and ever. ⁶ And he said to me, These words are faithful and true. And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His slaves what must happen quickly. ⁷ Behold, I am coming quickly. Blessed is the one keeping the words of the prophecy of this Book. ⁸ And I, John, was the one seeing and hearing these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel showing me these things. ⁹ And he said to me, Behold! Stop! For I am your fellow-slave, and of your brothers the prophets, and of the ones keeping the words of this Book. Do worship to God. ¹⁰ And he said to me, Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this Book, because the time is near. ¹¹ The one acting unjustly, let him still act unjustly; and the filthy, let him still be filthy; and the righteous, let him still do righteousness; and the holy, let him still be holy. ¹² And, behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to each as his work is. ¹³ I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, the First and the Last. ¹⁴ Blessed are the ones doing His commands, that their authority will be over the Tree of Life, and by the gates they may enter into the city. ¹⁵ But outside are the dogs and the sorcerers, and the fornicators, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and everyone loving a lie, and making it. ¹⁶ I, Jesus, sent My angel to testify these things to you over the churches. I am the Root and Offspring of David, the bright and morning Star. ¹⁷ And the Spirit and the bride say, Come! And the one hearing, let him say, Come! And the one thirsting, let him come; and the one desiring, let him take of the water of life freely.

³ when His lamp shone on my head, when I walked through darkness by His light;

¹ A Psalm of David. Jehovah is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Jehovah is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

¹⁸ But the path of the just is as a bright light going on and shining till the day is established.

⁵ Oh house of Jacob, come and let us walk in the light of Jehovah.

³ And you shall draw waters out of the wells of salvation with joy.

¹ Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of Jehovah has risen on you! ² For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples. But Jehovah shall rise on you, and His glory shall be seen on you.

¹⁹ The sun shall not still be your light by day, or the brightness of the moon give you light; but Jehovah shall be for everlasting light to you, and your God for your beauty.

¹³ For My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken Me, the Fountain of living waters, to hew out cisterns for themselves, broken cisterns that can hold no water.

² But to you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness shall rise up, and healing will be on His wings. And you shall go out and frisk like calves of the stall.

⁸ He was not that Light, but that he might witness concerning the Light. ⁹ He was the true Light; He enlightens every man coming into the world.

¹⁰ Jesus answered and said to her, If you knew the gift of God, and who is the One saying to you, Give Me to drink, you would have asked Him, and He would give you living water.

¹⁴ but whoever may drink of the water which I will give him will never ever thirst, but the water which I will give to him will become a fountain of water in him, springing up into everlasting life.

³⁷ And in the last day of the great feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. ³⁸ The one believing into Me, as the Scripture said, Out of his belly will flow rivers of living water. No OT passage ³⁹ But He said this concerning the Spirit, whom the ones believing into Him were about to receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

¹² Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, I am the Light of the world. The one following Me will in no way walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.

⁶ Because it is God who said, "Out of darkness Light shall shine," who shone in our hearts to give the brightness of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Isa. 42:6, 7, 16

¹⁷ every act of good giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom is no change or shadow of turning.

⁹ But you are "an elect race," "a royal priesthood," "a holy nation," "a people for possession," so that "you may openly speak of the virtues" of the One who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; LXX-Ex. 23:22; MT-Ex. 19:5, 6

⁷ But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of His Son Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin.

⁶ And He said to me, It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending. To the one thirsting, I will freely give of the fountain of the water of life.

²³ And the city had no need of the sun, nor of the moon, that they might shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it, even its lamp is the Lamb.

¹⁷ And the Spirit and the bride say, Come! And the one hearing, let him say, Come! And the one thirsting, let him come; and the one desiring, let him take of the water of life freely.

⁸ Jehovah will judge the people. O Jehovah, according to my righteousness, and according to my integrity on me. ⁹ Oh let the evil of the wicked come to an end; and You will establish the just; for the righteous God is a trier of hearts and reins. ¹⁰ My defense is on God, who saves the upright of heart.

¹⁰ And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, Jehovah, have not forsaken those who seek You.

²⁴ And Jehovah has returned to me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands before His eyes. ²⁵ With the merciful, You reveal Yourself as merciful; with an upright man, You reveal yourself as upright;

¹⁴ For Jehovah will not leave His people; nor will He forsake His inheritance. ¹⁵ For judgment shall turn to righteousness; and all the upright in heart shall follow after it.

¹⁰ You who love Jehovah, hate evil. He keeps the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. ¹¹ Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

¹⁷ But the mercy of Jehovah is from everlasting, even to everlasting, on those who fear Him; yea, His righteousness is to the sons of sons;

¹ A Psalm of David. Hear my prayer, O Jehovah give ear to my supplications; answer me in Your faithfulness, in Your righteousness; ² and do not enter into judgment with Your servant; for not anyone living is just in Your sight.

⁶ Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look to the earth beneath; for the heavens vanish like smoke, and the earth shall wear out like a garment; and its inhabitants shall die in the same way, but My salvation shall be forever, and My righteousness shall not be broken. ⁷ Hear Me, knowers of righteousness, the people of My law in their heart; do not fear the reproach of man, and do not be bowed from their blasphemings. ⁸ For the moth shall eat them like a garment; yea, the moth worm shall eat them like wool. But My righteousness shall be forever, and My salvation to generation to generation.

¹⁶ He judged the cause of the poor and needy, then it was well. Was this not to know Me, says Jehovah?

⁷ And I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am Jehovah. And they shall be My people, and I will be their God. For they shall return to Me with their whole heart.

³ Jehovah has appeared to me from far away, saying, Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love! On account of this, with loving kindness I have drawn you.

⁹ As the Father loved Me, I also loved you; continue in My love. ¹⁰ If you keep My commandments you will continue in My love, as I have kept My Father's commandments and continue in His love.

³ And this is everlasting life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.

⁷ I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith. ⁸ For the rest, the crown of righteousness is laid up for me, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me in that Day, and not only to me, but also to all the ones loving His appearance.

¹¹ "And they shall no more teach each one his neighbor, and each one his brother, saying, Know the Lord; because all shall know Me, from the least of them to their great ones.

⁵ by the power of God, having been guarded through faith to a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time;

¹¹ pour forth the outbursts of your anger; yea, look on everyone who is proud, and bring him down low; ¹² look on everyone who is proud, and humble him, and trample the wicked in their place;

² The wicked in his pride will pursue the poor; they will be caught in the schemes which they have devised.

³ Jehovah shall cut off all with flattering lips and the tongue that speaks great things; ⁴ Who say, We shall be strong by our tongue; our lips are our own; who is lord over us? ⁵ For the pain of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, I will now rise up, says Jehovah; I will set in safety; he pants for it.

⁸ I have set Jehovah always before me; for He is at my right hand: I shall not be shaken.

⁸ Keep me as the pupil, the daughter of the eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings, ⁹ from the face of the wicked who stripped me; against my soul, my enemies go all around me. ¹⁰ They are enclosed in their own fat; their mouth speaks proudly; ¹¹ now they have hemmed in our steps; they set their eyes to cast me to the earth; ¹² like a lion who longs to tear, and like a young lion sitting in hidden dens. ¹³ Arise, O Jehovah, go before his face and bow him down! Deliver my soul from the wicked, by Your sword, ¹⁴ from men, by Your hand, O Jehovah, from men of the world whose portion is in this life, and their belly You fill with Your treasure; they are satisfied with sons, and will leave their riches to their babes.

⁷ For the king trusts in Jehovah, and in the mercy of the Most High; he will not be shaken. ⁸ Your hand shall find out all Your enemies; Your right hand shall find out Your haters.

⁶ He alone is my rock and my salvation, my strong tower; I shall not be shaken.

⁵¹ The proud have scorned me utterly; I have not veered from Your law.

⁶⁹ The proud have forged a lie against me; I will keep Your precepts with all my heart.

⁸⁵ The proud have dug pits for me which are not according to Your law.

¹²² Be surety for Your servant for good; let not the proud oppress me.

³ Be gracious to us, O Jehovah; be gracious to us! For we are exceedingly filled with scorn. ⁴ Our soul is exceedingly filled for itself with the contempt of those who are at ease, the scorn of the proud.

¹ A Song of Ascents. They who trust in Jehovah shall be like Mount Zion; it is not shaken; it remains forever. ² The mountains are all around Jerusalem; and Jehovah is all around His people, from this time and forever. ³ For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the lot of the righteous; that the righteous not put forth their hands to evil.

²³ But I will put it into the hand of those oppressing you, who have said to your soul, Bow down that we may cross, and Put your back as the ground, and as the street to those who cross.

³⁷ Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and honor the King of Heaven, for all His works are truth, and His ways are justice. And He is able to humble those who walk in pride.

³⁵ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? ³⁶ Even as it has been written, "For Your sake we are killed all the day; we are counted as sheep of slaughter." Psa. 44:22 ³⁷ But in all these things we more than conquer through Him loving us. ³⁸ For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, ³⁹ nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

³¹ So all Your enemies shall perish, O Jehovah, and those who love Him shall be as the sun when it goes forth in its might. And the land had rest forty years.

⁵ On account of this the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

¹⁶ Jehovah has been known, He has executed judgment; the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. A meditation, Selah.

³⁸ I have shattered them, and they cannot rise up; they fell under my feet.

²³ But You, O God, will bring them down to the pit of destruction; men of blood and deceit will not live out half their days; but I will trust in You.

¹⁰ The righteous shall rejoice when he sees vengeance; he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. ¹¹ And man will say, Truly, a fruit is to the righteous; truly, there is a God judging in the earth.

⁷ But God shall shoot an arrow at them; their wounds shall suddenly appear. ⁸ So they shall be confounded; their tongue falls upon themselves; everyone seeing them shall flee. ⁹ And all men shall fear and shall declare the work of God; yea, they shall in wisdom consider His work.

¹⁰ Let burning coals fall on them; let them fall on coals of fire; make them fall into deep pits so that they do not rise again.

⁶⁴ And you shall say, In this way Babylon shall sink and shall not rise from the evil that I am bringing on her. And they shall be weary. So far are the words of Jeremiah.

⁸ in flaming fire giving full vengeance to those not knowing God, and to those not obeying the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, Isa. 66:15; Jer. 10:25 ⁹ who will pay the penalty: everlasting destruction from the face of the Lord, "and from the glory of His strength," Isa. 2:20

⁴ Who will not fear You, Lord, and glorify Your name? For You only are holy. For all the nations will come and will worship before You, because Your righteousnesses were made known.

¹ And after these things, I heard a great voice of a numerous crowd in Heaven, saying, Hallelujah! The salvation and the glory and the honor and the power of the Lord our God! ² For true and righteous are His judgments, because He judged the great harlot who defiled the earth with her fornication. And He avenged the blood of His slaves out of her hand. ³ And secondly they said, Hallelujah! Also her smoke goes up forever and ever. ⁴ And the twenty four elders, and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God sitting on the throne, saying, Amen! Hallelujah! ⁵ And a voice came out from the throne, saying, Praise our God, all His slaves, and the ones fearing Him, the small and the great. ⁶ And I heard as a sound of a numerous crowd, and as a sound of many waters, and as a sound of strong thunders, saying, Hallelujah! Because the Lord God Almighty reigned.
