⁵⁰ magnifying salvations to His king, and working mercy to His anointed, to David and to his seed forever.

¹⁰ They who strive with Jehovah will be smashed; He thunders in the heavens against him; Jehovah judges the ends of the earth, and gives strength to His king, and exalts the horn of His anointed.

¹ And Jehovah said to Samuel, Until when will you mourn for Saul, for I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and go. I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite, for I have seen a king for Me among his sons.

¹³ He shall build a house for My Name, and I shall establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

¹¹ and it shall be, when your days have been fulfilled to go away with your fathers, that I shall raise up your seed after you, who shall be of your sons, and I shall establish his kingdom. ¹² He shall build a house for Me, and I shall establish his throne forever; ¹³ I shall be a Father to him, and he shall be a son to Me; and I will not take My mercy away from him, as I took it away from him who was before you; ¹⁴ and I will make him stand in My house and in My kingdom forever; and his throne shall be made to stand forever.

²⁷ and now, You have been pleased to bless the house of Your servant, to be forever before You; for You, O Jehovah, have blessed; yea, it is blessed forever!

⁶ Yea, I have set My king on My holy mount on Zion.

⁷¹ He brought him in from the suckling ewes; He brought him to feed His people Jacob, and His inheritance, Israel. ⁷² And he fed them in the integrity of his heart; and guided them in the skillfulness of his hands.

³ I have cut a covenant with My chosen; I have sworn to David My servant, ⁴ I will establish Your seed forever, and build up Your throne to all generations. Selah.

²⁰ I have found My servant David; I have anointed him with My holy oil. ²¹ My hand shall be fixed with him; and My arm shall make him strong. ²² An enemy will not exact against him; nor the son of iniquity afflict him. ²³ And I will beat down his foes before him, and plague those hating him. ²⁴ But My faithfulness and My mercy is with him; and his horn shall be exalted in My name. ²⁵ And I will set his hand in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers. ²⁶ He shall cry to Me, My Father, You are My God, and the rock of my salvation. ²⁷ And I will make him My first-born, higher than the kings of the earth. ²⁸ I will keep My mercy for Him forever, and My covenant shall hold fast with Him. ²⁹ And I have established his Seed forever, and His throne as the days of the heavens. ³⁰ If his children forsake My law and do not walk in My judgments; ³¹ if they profane My statutes and do not keep My commandments; ³² then I will visit their transgressions with the rod, and their sins with stripes. ³³ But I will not annul My mercy from him, and I will not be false in My faithfulness. ³⁴ I will not profane My covenant, nor change what goes from My lips. ³⁵ Once I have sworn by My holiness; I will not lie to David. ³⁶ His seed shall be forever, and his throne as the sun before Me. ³⁷ Like the moon, it shall be forever; and a faithful witness in the sky. Selah. ³⁸ But You have cast off and rejected us; You have been angry with Your anointed.

¹⁰ For Your servant David's sake do not turn away the face of Your anointed.

¹⁰ You who gives salvation to kings, who delivers His servant David from the evil sword.

⁶ For a Child is born; to us a Son is given; and the government is on His shoulder; and His name is called Wonderful, Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. ⁷ There is no end to the increase of His government and of peace on the throne of David, and on His kingdom, to order it, and to sustain it with justice and with righteousness, from now and forever. The zeal of Jehovah of Hosts will do this.

³¹ And behold! You will conceive in your womb and bear a Son, and you will call His name Jesus. ³² This One will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. ³³ And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of His kingdom there will be no end.

⁶⁹ And He raised up a Horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David;

³⁴ For David did not ascend into Heaven, but he says, "The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand ³⁵ until I place Your enemies as a footstool for Your feet." LXX-Psa. 109:1; MT-Psa. 110:1 ³⁶ Then assuredly, let all the house of Israel acknowledge that God made Him both Lord and Christ, this same Jesus whom you crucified.

³ concerning His Son who came of the seed of David according to flesh,

²⁹ For the free gifts and the calling of God are without repentance.

⁹ Because of this also God highly exalted Him and gave Him a name above every name, ¹⁰ that at the name of Jesus "every knee should bow," of heavenly ones, and earthly ones, and ones under the earth, ¹¹ and "every tongue should confess" that Jesus Christ is "Lord," to the glory of God the Father.
