¹ And full of the Holy Spirit, Jesus returned from the Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness. ² forty days, being tested by the Devil. And He ate nothing in those days, and they being ended, He afterwards hungered. ³ And the Devil said to Him, If You are Son of God, speak to this stone that it become a loaf. ⁴ And Jesus answered to him, saying, It has been written: "Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word of God." Deut. 8:3 ⁵ And leading Him up into a high mountain, the Devil showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. ⁶ And the Devil said to Him, I will give all this authority and their glory to You, because it has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. ⁷ Then if You worship before me, all will be Yours. ⁸ And answering, to him, Jesus said, Get behind Me, Satan! For it has been written: "You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve." Deut. 6:13 ⁹ And he led Him to Jerusalem, and stood Him on the wing of the temple, and said to Him, If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here; ¹⁰ for it has been written: "He will command His angels about You, even to protect You," ¹¹ "that on their hands they shall bear You, lest you strike Your foot against a stone." Deut. 6:16 ¹³ And having finished every temptation, the Devil departed from Him until a time. ¹⁴ And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee. And a report went out through all the neighborhood about Him. ¹⁵ And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all. ¹⁶ And He came to Nazareth where He was brought up. And as was His custom, He went in on the day of the sabbaths, into the synagogue, and He stood up to read. ¹⁷ And the scroll of Isaiah the prophet was handed to Him. And unrolling the book, He found the place where it was written: ¹⁸ " The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me. Because of this He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me" to heal the brokenhearted, "to preach remission to captives and new sight to the blind," to send away the ones having been crushed in deliverance, ¹⁹ "to preach an acceptable year of the Lord." Isa. 61:1, 2 ²⁰ And rolling up the scroll, returning it to the attendant, He sat down. And the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on Him. ²¹ And He began to say to them, Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your ears. ²² And all bore witness to Him, and marveled at the gracious words coming out of His mouth. And they said, Is this not the son of Joseph? ²³ And He said to them, Surely you will speak this parable to Me, Physician, heal yourself. What things we heard were happening in Capernaum, do also here in your native place. ²⁴ But He said, Truly I say to you that no prophet is acceptable in his native place. ²⁵ But truthfully I say to you, There were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah when the heaven was shut up over three years and six months, when a great famine came on all the land; ²⁶ and yet Elijah was sent to none of them except to Zarephath of Sidon, to a widow woman. ²⁷ And many lepers were in Israel during the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them was made clean except Naaman the Syrian. ²⁸ And all were filled with anger, hearing these things in the synagogue. ²⁹ And rising up, they threw Him outside the city, and led Him up to the brow of the hill on which their city was built, in order to throw Him down. ³⁰ But He went away, passing through their midst. ³¹ And He went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee. And He was teaching them on the sabbaths. ³² And they were astonished at His doctrine, because His word was with authority. ³³ And in the synagogue was a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon. And he cried out with a loud voice, ³⁴ saying, Aha! What is to us and to You, Jesus, Nazarene? Did You come to destroy us? I know You, who You are, the Holy One of God. ³⁵ And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be silent, and come out from him! And throwing him into the midst, the demon came out from him, not harming him. ³⁶ And astonishment came on all. And they spoke with one another, saying, What word is this, that He commands the unclean spirits with authority and power, and they come out? ³⁷ And a report about Him went out into every place of the neighborhood. ³⁸ And rising up from the synagogue, He went into the house of Simon. And the mother-in-law of Simon was being seized with a great fever. And they asked Him concerning her. ³⁹ And standing over her, He rebuked the fever; and it left her. And rising up instantly, she served them. ⁴⁰ And the sun sinking, all, as many as had sick ones with various diseases, brought them to Him. And laying hands on each one of them, He healed them. ⁴¹ And also demons came out from many, crying out and saying, You are the Christ, the Son of God! And rebuking them, He did not allow them to speak, for they knew Him to be the Christ. ⁴² And day coming, going out, He went into a deserted place. And the crowds looked for Him, and came up to Him, and held Him fast, not to pass away from them. ⁴³ But He said to them, It is right for Me to preach the gospel, the kingdom of God, to the other cities, because I was sent on this mission . ⁴⁴ And He was proclaiming in the synagogues of Galilee.

¹² And it shall be, I will go away from you, and the Spirit of Jehovah will lift you up, where I do not know, and I will come to tell Ahab, and he will not find you, and he will kill me. And your servant has feared Jehovah from my youth.

⁴ and he himself went into the wilderness a day's journey, and came and sat under a certain broom tree. And he begged for his life, that he might die, and said, Enough, now, O Jehovah; take my life, for I am no better than my fathers.

² And the Spirit of Jehovah shall rest on Him; He will have the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and power, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah. ³ And He is made to breathe in the fear of Jehovah. But He shall not judge by the seeing of His eyes, nor decide by the hearing of His ears. ⁴ But He shall judge the poor in righteousness, and shall decide rightly for the meek of the earth. And He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, and He shall slay the wicked with the breath of His lips.

¹ The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is on Me, because Jehovah has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the meek. He has sent Me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to captives, and complete opening to the bound ones;

¹⁴ So the Spirit lifted me up and took me, and I went bitterly in the heat of my spirit, but the hand of Jehovah was strong upon me.

¹⁶ And having been baptized, Jesus went up immediately from the water. And, behold! The heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God coming down as a dove, and coming upon Him.

¹ Then Jesus was led up into the wilderness by the Spirit, to be tempted by the Devil. ² And having fasted forty days and forty nights, afterwards He hungered. ³ And coming near to Him, the Tempter said, If You are the Son of God, speak that these stones may become loaves. ⁴ But answering, He said, It has been written: "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word going out of the mouth of God." Deut. 8:3 ⁵ Then the Devil takes Him to the holy city, and he set Him on the wing of the temple. ⁶ And he said to Him, If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down; for it has been written: "He shall give His angels charge concerning You, and they shall bear You on their hands, lest You strike Your foot against a stone." LXX-Psa. 90:11, 12; MT-Psa. 91:11, 12 ⁷ Jesus said to him, Again it has been written: "You shall not tempt the Lord your God." Deut. 6:16 ⁸ Again the Devil takes Him to a very high mountain, and he showed to Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. ⁹ And he said to Him. I will give all these things to You if falling down, You will worship me. ¹⁰ Then Jesus said to him, Go, Satan! For it has been written: "You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve Him only." Deut. 6:13 ¹¹ Then the Devil left Him. And behold! Angels came near and ministered to Him.

¹² And the Spirit at once drove Him out into the wilderness. ¹³ And He was there in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts. And the angels ministered to Him.

²⁷ And by the Spirit he came into the temple. And as the parents were bringing in the child Jesus for them to do according to the custom of the Law concerning Him,

³ And he came into the neighborhood of the Jordan proclaiming a baptism of repentance for remission of sins,

²¹ And it happened, in the baptizing of all the people, Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened; ²² and the Holy Spirit came down in a bodily form as a dove upon Him. And there was a voice out of Heaven, saying, You are My Son, the Beloved; I am delighted in You. Psa. 2:7; Gen 22:2; Isa. 42:1

¹⁴ And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee. And a report went out through all the neighborhood about Him.

¹⁸ " The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me. Because of this He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me" to heal the brokenhearted, "to preach remission to captives and new sight to the blind," to send away the ones having been crushed in deliverance,

³² And John witnessed, saying, I have seen the Spirit coming down as a dove out of Heaven, and He abode on Him.

³⁴ For the One whom God sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure.

² until the day He was taken up, having given directions to the apostles whom He chose, through the Holy Spirit,

³⁹ But when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip. And the eunuch did not see him any more; for he went his way rejoicing.

³⁸ Jesus the One from Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good, and healing all those having been oppressed by the Devil, because God was with Him.

¹⁵ And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He will bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.

¹⁸ And Moses came into the midst of the cloud, and he went up into the mountain. And Moses was in the mountain forty days and forty nights.

²⁸ And he was there with Jehovah forty days and forty nights; he did not eat bread and he did not drink water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.

⁹ When I went up into the mountain to receive the tablets of stone, tablets of the covenant which Jehovah cut with you, and I remained in the mountain forty days and forty nights (I did not eat bread nor did I drink water),

¹⁸ And I fell down before Jehovah, as at the first, forty days and forty nights; I ate no bread and drank no water; because of all your sins which you had sinned, in doing that which was evil in the eyes of Jehovah, to make Him angry.

²⁵ And I fell down before Jehovah the forty days and the forty nights as I had thrown myself down before, for Jehovah had said to destroy you.

¹⁶ And the Philistine drew near morning and evening, and presented himself forty days.

⁸ And he rose up and ate and drank, and went in the power of that food forty days and forty nights to the mount of God, Horeb.

¹⁶ Go, gather all the Jews being found in Shushan, and fast for me. And do not eat or drink three days, night or day. My maidens and I will also fast in this way. And so I will go in to the king, which is not according to the law. And if I have perished, I have perished.

⁷ And he cried and said in Nineveh by the decree of the king and of his great ones, saying, Do not let man or beast, herd or flock, taste anything; do not let them feed nor let them drink water.

² And having fasted forty days and forty nights, afterwards He hungered.

¹⁸ And returning early to the city, He hungered.

⁶ And Jacob's fountain was there. Then being wearied by the journey, Jesus sat thus on the fountain. It was about the sixth hour.

¹⁸ For in what He has suffered, being tried, He is able to help those having been tried.

¹⁵ For we do not have a high priest not being able to sympathize with our weaknesses but One having been tried in all respects according to our likeness, apart from sin.

³ And coming near to Him, the Tempter said, If You are the Son of God, speak that these stones may become loaves.

²² and the Holy Spirit came down in a bodily form as a dove upon Him. And there was a voice out of Heaven, saying, You are My Son, the Beloved; I am delighted in You. Psa. 2:7; Gen 22:2; Isa. 42:1

²⁵ And you shall serve Jehovah your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will remove sickness from your midst.

³ And He has humbled you, and caused you to hunger, and caused you to eat the manna, which you had not known, and your fathers had not known, in order to cause you to know that man shall not live by bread alone, but man shall live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of Jehovah.

²⁰ To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no dawn to them!

¹¹ Leave your orphans, I will keep them alive. And let your widows trust in Me.

⁴ But answering, He said, It has been written: "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word going out of the mouth of God." Deut. 8:3

²⁵ Because of this, I say to you, Do not be anxious for your soul, what you eat and what you drink, nor for your body, what you put on. Is not the soul more than the food and the body than the clothing? ²⁶ Observe the birds of the heaven, that they do not sow, nor do they reap, nor do they gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Do you not rather excel them?

³¹ Then do not be anxious, saying, What may we eat? Or, what may we drink? Or, what may clothe us?

⁸ And answering, to him, Jesus said, Get behind Me, Satan! For it has been written: "You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve." Deut. 6:13

¹⁰ for it has been written: "He will command His angels about You, even to protect You,"

³⁵ And He said to them, When I sent you without a purse, or a wallet, or sandals, did you lack anything? And they said, Nothing.

³⁴ Jesus answered them, Has it not been written in your Law, "I said, you are gods"? Psa. 82:6 ³⁵ If He called those gods with whom the Word of God was, and the Scripture cannot be broken,

¹⁷ Also, take "the helmet of salvation," and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God; Isa. 59:17 LXX-Isa. 11:4; MT-Isa. 49:2; LXX and MT-Hos. 6:5

⁵ that the exulting of the wicked is near an end, and the joy of the ungodly is for a moment?

¹⁹ How they are destroyed in a moment, swept away with terrors!

⁸ Again the Devil takes Him to a very high mountain, and he showed to Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.

¹⁴ And this gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the earth for a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end.

⁸ And another fell into the good ground, and yielded fruit, going up and increasing; and one bore thirty, and one sixty, and one a hundredfold. ⁹ And He said to them, The one having ears to hear, let him hear.

³¹ and those using this world as not abusing it; for the mode of this world is passing away.

⁵² In a moment, in a glance of an eye, at the last trumpet; for a trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall all be changed.

¹⁷ For the lightness of our present affliction works out for us an eternal weight of glory, surpassing moment by surpassing moment;

² in which you then walked according to the course of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit now working in the sons of disobedience,

¹² because we are not wrestling against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world's rulers, of the darkness of this age, against the spiritual powers of evil in the heavenlies.

¹⁵ Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him, ¹⁶ because all that which is in the world: the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

¹¹ And Haman told them of the glory of his riches, and his many sons, and all to which the king had promoted him, and how he lifted him up above the princes and the servants of the king.

¹⁴ So Sheol has enlarged its appetite, and opened its mouth without measure, and her glory and her multitude, and her uproar, he who exults in her, shall come down in it.

⁹ Jehovah of Hosts has purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, to bring all the honored of the earth into contempt.

⁴⁴ You are of the Devil as father, and the lusts of your father you desire to do. That one was a murderer from the beginning, and he has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own, because he is a liar, and the father of it.

³¹ Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world shall be cast out.

³⁰ I shall no longer speak many things with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.

¹⁴ Did not Satan marvelously transform himself into an angel of light?

²⁴ Because "all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of men as the flower of grass; the grass was dried, and its flower fell out,

¹⁹ We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in evil.

⁹ And the great dragon was cast out, the old serpent being called Devil, and, Satan; he deceiving the whole habitable world was cast out onto the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

² And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and its feet as of a bear, and its mouth as a lion's mouth. And the dragon gave its power to it, and its throne, and great authority.

⁷ And it was given to it "to war with the saints, and to overcome them." And authority was given to it over every tribe and tongue and nation. Dan. 7:21

² And he laid hold of the dragon, the old serpent who is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, ³ and threw him into the abyss, and shut him up, and sealed over him, that he should not still lead astray the nations, until the thousand years are fulfilled. And after these things, he must be set loose a little time.

¹¹ Yea, all kings shall fall down before Him; all nations shall serve Him.

¹⁴ So says Jehovah, The labor of Egypt, and the goods of Ethiopia, and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come to you; and they shall be yours. They shall come after you; they shall cross in chains; and they shall bow to you; they shall plead to you. Surely God is in you, and there is none else, no other God.

⁶ Those who lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver on the measuring rod; they hire a refiner and he makes it a god. They fall down; yea, they worship.

¹¹ And having come into the house, they saw the child with His mother Mary. And falling down, they worshiped Him. And opening their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold and frankincense and myrrh.

²⁸ And seeing Jesus, and crying out, he fell down before Him, and with a loud voice said, What to me and to You, Jesus, Son of God the Most High? I beg You, do not torment me.

¹⁶ And he fell on his face at His feet, thanking Him. And he was a Samaritan.

¹⁰ the twenty four elders fall down before Him sitting on the throne; and they will worship the One living forever and ever, and will throw their crowns before the throne, saying,

⁸ And when He took the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one having harps, and golden bowls full of incenses, which are the prayers of the saints.

⁸ And I, John, was the one seeing and hearing these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel showing me these things.

¹³ You shall fear Jehovah your God, and you shall serve Him, and you shall swear by His name.

²⁰ You shall fear Jehovah your God; you shall serve Him; and you shall cleave to Him; and you shall swear by His name.

³ And Samuel said to all the house of Israel, saying, If you are returning to Jehovah with all your heart, put aside the alien gods from among you, and the Ashtoreths. And prepare your heart to Jehovah, and serve Him only, and He will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.

¹⁵ And Hezekiah prayed before Jehovah, and said, O Jehovah the God of Israel, who sits above the cherubs, You are God Himself, You alone, to all the kingdoms of the earth; You have made the heavens and the earth.

¹⁸ And let them know Your name is Jehovah, that You alone are the Most High over all the earth.

¹¹ The lofty eyes of man shall be humbled, and the pride of men shall be bowed down; but Jehovah, He alone, will be exalted in that day.

¹⁰ Then Jesus said to him, Go, Satan! For it has been written: "You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve Him only." Deut. 6:13

²³ But turning He said to Peter, Go behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you do not think of the things of God, but the things of men.

⁴ And Jesus answered to him, saying, It has been written: "Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word of God." Deut. 8:3

⁷ Then be subject to God. Resist the Devil, and he will flee from you.

⁹ whom firmly resist in the faith, knowing the same sufferings are being completed in your brotherhood in the world.

¹⁰ And I fell before his feet to worship him, but he said to me, Behold! Stop! I am a fellow-slave of yours, and of your brothers, having the testimony of Jesus. Worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

⁹ And he said to me, Behold! Stop! For I am your fellow-slave, and of your brothers the prophets, and of the ones keeping the words of this Book. Do worship to God.

⁴ As to the porch on the front, the length, according to the breadth of the house in front, was twenty cubits, and the height a hundred and twenty; and he overlaid it inside with pure gold.

⁶ And Jehovah said to Satan, Behold, He is in your hand; but preserve his life.

⁵ Then the Devil takes Him to the holy city, and he set Him on the wing of the temple. ⁶ And he said to Him, If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down; for it has been written: "He shall give His angels charge concerning You, and they shall bear You on their hands, lest You strike Your foot against a stone." ²⁹ And, behold! They cried out, saying, What is to us and to You, Jesus, Son of God? Have You come here beforetime to torment us?

³ And the Devil said to Him, If You are Son of God, speak to this stone that it become a loaf.

⁴ who was marked out Son of God in power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by resurrection of the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord;

¹¹ For He shall give His angels charge over You, to keep You in all Your ways. ¹² They shall bear You up in their hands, that You not dash Your foot on a stone.

¹⁴ Are they not all ministering spirits for service, being sent out because of the ones being about to inherit salvation?

¹⁶ You shall not test Jehovah your God as you tested Him in Massah.

⁹ When your fathers tempted Me, they tested Me and they saw My work.

¹⁴ and they greedily lusted in the wilderness, and tested God in the desert.

¹⁵ And now we are calling the arrogant blessed. Not only are the doers of wickedness built up, they also test God, and escape.

⁷ Jesus said to him, Again it has been written: "You shall not tempt the Lord your God." Deut. 6:16

⁹ Neither over-tempt Christ, as some of them tempted, and perished by serpents.

⁸ do not harden your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness, ⁹ there where your fathers tempted Me, testing Me, and saw My works forty years.

¹¹ Then the Devil left Him. And behold! Angels came near and ministered to Him. ¹² But Jesus hearing that John was delivered up, He withdrew into Galilee.

²³ And Jesus went around all Galilee teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every one of the illnesses among the people. ²⁴ And the report of Him went out into all Syria. And they brought to Him all the ones having illness, suffering various diseases and torments, also those having been demon-possessed, and those having been moonstruck, and paralytics; and He healed them. ²⁵ And many crowds followed Him from Galilee and Decapolis, and Jerusalem, and Judea, and beyond the Jordan.

²⁶ And this report went out into all that land.

¹⁴ And after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom of God,

²⁸ And His fame went out at once into all the Galilean neighborhood.

³⁷ And a report about Him went out into every place of the neighborhood.

⁴³ But after the two days, He went out from there, and went away into Galilee.

³⁷ You know the thing that happened throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism that John proclaimed,

⁵ Behold, You shall call a nation You do not know; yea, a nation not knowing You shall run to You, because of Jehovah Your God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for He has glorified You.

²³ And Jesus went around all Galilee teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every one of the illnesses among the people.

⁸ And seeing, the crowds marveled, and they glorified God who gave such authority to men.

³⁵ And Jesus went about all the cities and the villages teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every weakness of body among the people.

⁵⁴ And coming into His own country, He taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, Where did this one get this wisdom, and the powerful works?

²⁷ And all were astonished, so as to discuss to themselves, saying, What is this? What new teaching is this, that He commands even the unclean spirits with authority, and they obey Him?

³⁹ And He was proclaiming in their synagogues in all Galilee, and casting out the demons.

⁴⁵ But going out he began to proclaim much, and to spread about the matter, so that He no longer could openly enter into a city. But He was outside in deserted places. And they came to Him from every quarter.

¹⁶ And He came to Nazareth where He was brought up. And as was His custom, He went in on the day of the sabbaths, into the synagogue, and He stood up to read.

¹⁰ And He was teaching in one of the synagogues on one of the sabbaths.

²³ And coming, he lived in a city called Nazareth, so as to fulfill that spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene. No OT passage

⁵⁴ And coming into His own country, He taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, Where did this one get this wisdom, and the powerful works? ⁵⁵ Is this not the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary, and his brothers, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

¹ And He went out from there and came to His native place. And His disciples followed Him. ² And a sabbath occurring, He began to teach in the synagogue. And hearing, many were amazed, saying, From where came these things to this one? And what is the wisdom given to him, that even such works of power come about through his hands? ³ Is this one not the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James and Joseph and Judas and Simon? And are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended in Him.

²⁶ And in the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, ²⁷ to a virgin who had been betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mariam.

³⁹ And as they finished all things according to the Law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to Nazareth their city.

⁴² And when He was twelve years old, they, going up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the Feast,

⁵¹ And He went with them and came to Nazareth and was being subject to them. And His mother carefully kept all these words in her heart.

¹⁵ And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all.

²¹ And He began to say to them, Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your ears.

²⁰ Jesus answered him, I publicly spoke to the world; I always taught in the synagogue and in the temple where the Jews always come together, and I spoke nothing in secret.

¹⁴ But going through from Perga, they came to Antioch-Pisidia, and going into the synagogue on the day of the sabbaths, they sat down. ¹⁵ And after the reading of the Law, and of the Prophets, the synagogue rulers sent to them, saying, Men, brothers, if there is a word of exhortation to the people, speak. ¹⁶ And rising up, and signaling with his hand, Paul said: Men, Israelites, and the ones fearing God, listen.

² And according to Paul's custom, he went in to them and reasoned with them from the Scriptures on three sabbaths,

¹ The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is on Me, because Jehovah has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the meek. He has sent Me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to captives, and complete opening to the bound ones; ² to proclaim the acceptable year of Jehovah, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; ³ to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of the spirit of infirmity, so that one calls them trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, in order to beautify Himself.

⁴² Even David himself said in the Book of Psalms, "The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand

⁴² But God turned and gave them over to serve the host of the heaven, as it has been written in the book of the Prophets: "Did you bring slain beasts and sacrifices to Me forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel?

¹⁵ And after the reading of the Law, and of the Prophets, the synagogue rulers sent to them, saying, Men, brothers, if there is a word of exhortation to the people, speak.

²⁷ For those dwelling in Jerusalem, and their rulers, not having known this One, and the voices of the prophets being read throughout every sabbath, condemning Him, they fulfilled the Scriptures .

²⁷ Because your heart is tender, and you were humbled before God when you heard His words concerning this place, and concerning its inhabitants, and were humbled before Me, and have torn your garments and wept before Me; I have even heard also, says Jehovah.

² The kings of the earth set themselves; yea, the rulers have plotted together against Jehovah and His anointed, saying,

⁶ Yea, I have set My king on My holy mount on Zion.

¹⁸ Jehovah is near those who are broken-hearted, and saves those who have a contrite spirit.

⁷ You love righteousness and hate wickedness; on account of this God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your fellows.

¹⁷ The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.

²⁰ To hear the groaning of the prisoner, to set free the sons of death;

¹⁰ Those who live in the darkness, and in the shadow of death, being prisoners in affliction and iron, ¹¹ because they rebelled against the words of God, and despised the counsel of the Most High; ¹² and He humbled their heart by toil; they stumbled, and none were helping; ¹³ and they cried to Jehovah in their distress; He saved them out of their distresses; ¹⁴ He brought them out from darkness and the shadow of death; and He broke their bands apart. ¹⁵ Let them thank Jehovah for His mercy, and His wonders to the sons of man. ¹⁶ For He has broken the gates of bronze; and He cut bars of iron in two.

⁷ who executes judgment for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry; Jehovah sets free the prisoners; ⁸ Jehovah opens the eyes of the blind; Jehovah raises those bowed down; Jehovah loves the righteous;

³ He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their sorrows.

² And the Spirit of Jehovah shall rest on Him; He will have the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and power, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah. ³ And He is made to breathe in the fear of Jehovah. But He shall not judge by the seeing of His eyes, nor decide by the hearing of His ears. ⁴ But He shall judge the poor in righteousness, and shall decide rightly for the meek of the earth. And He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, and He shall slay the wicked with the breath of His lips. ⁵ And righteousness shall be the encircler of His loins, and faithfulness the encircler of His reins.

¹⁸ And in that day the deaf shall hear the words of a book; and the eyes of the blind shall see out of their gloom and out of darkness. ¹⁹ And the humble ones shall increase joy in Jehovah, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

³ And the eyes of those that see shall not be dim, and the ears of those who hear shall listen.

⁵ Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf opened.

¹ Behold My Servant; I will uphold Him; My Elect in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit on Him; He shall bring forth justice to the nations. ² He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause His voice to be heard in the street. ³ A bruised reed He shall not break, and a smoking wick He shall not quench; He shall bring forth justice to truth. ⁴ He shall not fail nor be crushed until He has set justice in the earth; and the coasts shall wait for His law.

⁷ to open blind eyes, to deliver the prisoner from the prison; those who sit in darkness from the prison.

¹⁶ And I will lead the blind by a way they knew not; I will lead them in paths they never knew; I will make darkness into light before them, and crooked places a level place. I do these things to them and do not forsake them; ¹⁷ they are turned back; they are ashamed with shame, those trusting in the carved image, who say to cast images, You are our gods. ¹⁸ O deaf ones, hear! And O blind ones, look to see!

¹³ I raised him up in righteousness, and have made straight all his ways. He shall build My city, and he will release My captives; not for price, nor for reward, says Jehovah of Hosts.

⁹ to say to the prisoners, Go out! To those who are in darkness, Show yourselves! They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.

²⁴ Shall the plunder be taken from the warrior, or the righteous captive escape? ²⁵ But so says Jehovah, Even the captives of the warrior shall be taken, and the plunder of the terrifying ones shall be delivered. For I will strive with him who contends with you; and I will save your sons.

⁴ The Lord Jehovah has given to Me the tongue of taught ones, to know to help the weary with a word. He arouses in the morning; He wakens the ear to Me, to hear as the learned.

² Shake yourself from the dust; rise up! Sit, Jerusalem; free yourself from your neck bands, O captive daughter of Zion. ³ For so says Jehovah: You were sold for nothing, and you will not be redeemed with silver.

¹⁵ For so says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, and His name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, even with the contrite and humble of spirit; to make live the spirit of the humble and to make live the heart of the contrite ones.

²¹ As for Me, this is My covenant with them, says Jehovah: My Spirit who is on you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, or out of the mouth of your seed, or out of the mouth of your seed's seed, from now on and forever, says Jehovah.

² And My hand has made all these things, even all these things exist, declares Jehovah. But I will look toward this one, to the afflicted, and to the contrite of spirit, even trembling at My word.

⁴ And Jehovah said to him, Pass through in the midst of the city, in the midst of Jerusalem, and mark a mark on the foreheads of the men who are groaning and are mourning over all the abominations that are done in her midst.

²⁴ Seventy weeks are decreed as to your people, and as to your holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make atonement for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy.

¹² I will also leave a poor and weak people in your midst, and they shall trust in the name of Jehovah.

¹¹ Also you, by the blood of your covenant I have freed your prisoners from the pit; no water is in it. ¹² Turn to the stronghold, O prisoners of hope! Even today I declare I will return double to you.

¹¹ And it was broken in that day, and so the poor of the flock who were watching Me knew that it was the word of Jehovah.

² But to you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness shall rise up, and healing will be on His wings. And you shall go out and frisk like calves of the stall.

¹⁶ the people sitting in the darkness saw a great Light; and to those sitting in the region and shadow of death, Light sprang up to them." Isa. 9:1, 2

³ Blessed are the poor in spirit! For theirs is the kingdom of the Heavens.

²⁷ And Jesus passing on from there, two blind ones followed Him, crying and saying, Have pity on us, Son of David. ²⁸ And coming into the house, the blind ones came near to Him. And Jesus said to them, Do you believe that I am able to do this? And they said to Him, Yes, Lord. ²⁹ Then He touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith let it be to you. ³⁰ And their eyes were opened. And Jesus strictly ordered them, saying, See, let no one know.

⁵ The blind receive sight, and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear; the dead are raised, and the poor are given the gospel. Isa. 61:1

²⁰ A bruised reed He will not break, and smoking flax He will not quench, until He bring forth judgment to victory." Isa. 42:1 -3

²⁰ And lifting up His eyes to His disciples, He said: Blessed are the poor, for the kingdom of God is yours.

²² And answering, Jesus said to them, Going, report to John what you saw and heard: "Blind ones see again;" "lame ones walk about;" "lepers are being cleansed; "deaf ones hear;" dead ones are raised; poor ones are given the gospel. Isa. 35:5, 6; 61:1

⁴¹ This one first found his own brother Simon and tells him, We have found the Messiah (which being translated is, the Christ).

³⁹ And Jesus said, I came into this world for judgment, that the ones who do not see may see, and they who see may become blind. ⁴⁰ And those of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these things, and said to Him, Are we also blind? ⁴¹ Jesus said to them, If you were blind, you would have no sin. But now you say, We see; therefore, your sin remains.

⁴⁶ I have come as a Light to the world, that everyone who believes into Me may not remain in the darkness.

²⁷ For truly both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the nations and the peoples of Israel, were gathered together against Your holy child Jesus, whom You anointed,

¹⁸ to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the authority of Satan to God, in order that they may receive remission of sins, and an inheritance among those being sanctified by faith in Me.

⁸ for you then were darkness, but now light in the Lord; walk as children of light. ⁹ For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth, ¹⁰ proving what is pleasing to the Lord. ¹¹ And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them . ¹² For it is shameful even to speak of the things being done by them in secret. ¹³ But all things being exposed by the light are clearly revealed, for everything having been revealed is light. ¹⁴ Because of this, He says, Arise, sleeping ones and stand up out of the dead ones, and Christ will shine on you. ¹³ who delivered us out of the authority of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

⁵ You are all sons of light and sons of day; we are not of night, nor of darkness. ⁶ So then, we should not sleep, as the rest also do, but we should watch and be sober.

⁵ Hear, my beloved brothers, did not God choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to the ones loving Him?

⁹ But you are "an elect race," "a royal priesthood," "a holy nation," "a people for possession," so that "you may openly speak of the virtues" of the One who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; LXX-Ex. 23:22; MT-Ex. 19:5, 6

⁸ Again I write a new commandment to you which is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true Light already shines. ⁹ The one saying to be in the light, and hating his brother, is in the darkness until now. ¹⁰ The one loving his brother rests in the light, and no offense is in him.

⁸ And you shall number to yourself seven sabbaths of years, seven years times seven, and all the days of the seven sabbaths of years shall be to you forty nine years. ⁹ And you shall let a ram's horn resound, a signal in the seventh month, in the tenth of the month; in the day of atonement, less a ram's horn pass throughout all your land; ¹⁰ and you shall make the fiftieth year holy, a year. And you shall proclaim liberty in the land to all its inhabitants; it shall be a jubilee to you. And you shall return every man to his possession; yea, you shall turn back each to his family. ¹¹ It is a jubilee, the fiftieth year; it is a year to you. You shall not sow, nor reap that which grows of itself, nor gather from its unkept vines; ¹² for it is a jubilee, it is holy to you; you shall eat its increase out of the field. ¹³ In the year of jubilee you shall return each one to his possession.

⁵⁰ And he shall count with his buyer from the year of his being sold to him until the year of jubilee, and the silver of his sale shall be by the number of years. As the days of a hireling, it shall be with him. ⁵¹ If there are yet many years according to them, he shall give back his redemption, from the silver of his purchase. ⁵² And if few are left of the years till the year of jubilee, then he shall count with him according to his years he shall give back his redemption price. ⁵³ As a hireling, year by year, he shall be with him, and he shall not rule him with severity before your eyes. ⁵⁴ And if he is not redeemed in this way, then he shall go out in the year of jubilee, he and his sons with him.

⁴ And when the Jubilee of the sons of Israel shall come, then their inheritance shall be added to the inheritance of the tribe to which they shall belong. So their inheritance will be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.

² to proclaim the acceptable year of Jehovah, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;

⁴ For the day of vengeance is in My heart, and the year of My redeemed has come.

⁴² saying, If you had known, even you, even at least in this day of yours, the things for your peace! But now they were hidden from your eyes.

¹ But working together, we also call on you not to receive the grace of God in vain.

¹ But seeing the crowds, He went up into the mountain, and seating Himself, His disciples came near to Him. ² And opening His mouth, He taught them, saying:

¹ And going out from the house in that day, Jesus sat down by the sea. ² And great crowds were gathered to Him, so that boarding the boat, He sat down. And all the crowd stood on the shore.

²⁶ But it will not be so among you. But whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. ²⁷ And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your servant; ²⁸ Even as the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.

⁵⁵ In that hour, Jesus said to the crowds, Have you come out to take Me with swords and clubs, as against a robber? I sat with you daily teaching in the temple, and you did not lay hands on Me.

¹⁷ And the scroll of Isaiah the prophet was handed to Him. And unrolling the book, He found the place where it was written:

³ And entering into one of the boats, which was Simon's, He asked him to put out a little from the land. And sitting down, He taught the crowd from the boat.

⁴⁸ And they did not find what they might do; for all the people hung on Him, listening.

² And at dawn, He again arrived into the temple; and all the people came to Him. And sitting down, He taught them.

¹² And seeing this, Peter answered to the people, Men, Israelites, why do you marvel at this one? Or why do you stare at us, as if by our own power or godliness we have made him to walk?

¹³ And on the day of the sabbaths, we went outside the city beside a river, where it was customary for prayer to be made . And sitting down, we spoke to the women who came together there .

¹⁴ And the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled on them, which says, "In hearing you will hear and in no way understand, and seeing you will see yet in no way perceive.

²³ And having turned to the disciples alone, He said, Blessed are the eyes seeing what you see. ²⁴ For I say to you that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, and did not see, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear.

²⁵ The woman said to Him, I know that Messiah is coming, the One called Christ. When that One comes, He will announce to us all things. ²⁶ Jesus said to her, I AM, the One speaking to you.

³⁹ You search the Scriptures, for you think in them you have everlasting life. And they are the ones witnessing concerning Me.

¹⁶ But this is that which has been spoken by the prophet Joel, ¹⁷ "And it shall be" in the last days, God says, "I will pour from My Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy;" "and your young men shall see visions," "and your old men shall dream dreams;" ¹⁸ "and also I will pour out My Spirit on My slaves and slave women in those days," and they shall prophesy.

²⁹ Men, brothers, it is permitted to say to you with plainness as to the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is among us until this day. ³⁰ Being a prophet, then, and knowing that God swore with an oath to him that of the fruit of his loin, as concerning flesh, to raise the Christ to sit on his throne, see Psa. 132:11 ³¹ foreseeing, he spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, "that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption." LXX-Psa. 15:10; Mt-Psa. 16:10 ³² This Jesus God raised up, of which we all are witnesses. ³³ Then being exalted to the right of God, and receiving the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, He poured out this which you now see and hear.

¹⁸ But what things God before announced through the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ should suffer, He fulfilled in this manner.

² You are the fairest of the sons of man; grace has poured into Your lips; on this account God has blessed You forever.

⁴ And ride prosperously in Your majesty, on the matter of truth and meekness and right, and Your right hand shall teach You fearful things.

³² The lips of the righteous know what is pleasing, but the mouth of the wicked knows only perversities.

²¹ The wise in heart shall be called prudent, and sweetness of lips increases learning.

¹¹ A word rightly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver.

¹⁰ The Preacher sought to find out pleasing words; and words of truth written on uprightness. ¹¹ The words of the wise are as goads; yea, as nails driven by the masters of collections, they are given from one Shepherd.

¹⁶ His mouth is most sweet; and He is altogether lovely. This is my Beloved, and this is my Friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.

⁵⁴ And coming into His own country, He taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, Where did this one get this wisdom, and the powerful works? ⁵⁵ Is this not the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary, and his brothers, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? ⁵⁶ And are not his sisters all with us? From where then did this one get all these things?

⁴⁷ And all those hearing Him were amazed at His intelligence and His answers.

¹⁵ For I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all those opposing you will not be able to withstand or contradict.

⁴² And they said, Is this not Jesus the son of Joseph, of whom we know the father and the mother? How does this one now say, I have come down out of Heaven?

⁴⁶ The officers answered, Never did a man so speak as does this man.

¹⁰ And they had no strength to stand against the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke.

⁸ in sound speech, not to be condemned; that he who is opposed may he ashamed, having nothing bad to say about you.

¹³ And leaving Nazareth, coming He lived at Capernaum, beside the sea in the districts of Zebulun and Naphtali,

²³ And you, Capernaum, who "have been exalted to the heaven, you will be thrown down to Hades." For if the powerful acts happening in you had taken place in Sodom, it would remain until today. Isa. 14:13, 15 ²⁴ But I say to you, It will be more bearable for the land of Sodom in Judgment day than for you.

²¹ And they passed along into Capernaum. And entering into the synagogue, at once He taught on the sabbaths. ²² And they were astonished at His doctrine, for He was teaching them as having authority, and not as the scribes. ²³ And a man with an unclean spirit was in their synagogue. And he cried out, ²⁴ saying, What is to us and to You, Jesus, Nazarene? Have You come to destroy us? I know You, who You are, the Holy One of God. ²⁵ And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be quiet, and come out of him. ²⁶ And the unclean spirit convulsing him, and crying out with a loud voice, he came out of him. ²⁷ And all were astonished, so as to discuss to themselves, saying, What is this? What new teaching is this, that He commands even the unclean spirits with authority, and they obey Him? ²⁸ And His fame went out at once into all the Galilean neighborhood.

¹ And again He entered into Capernaum after some days. And it was heard that He was in a house. ² And at once many were gathered, so as none any longer had room, not even to the door. And He spoke the Word to them. ³ And they came to Him carrying a paralytic, being borne by four. ⁴ And not being able to draw near to Him, due to the crowd, they unroofed the roof where He was. And digging through, they lowered the cot on which the paralytic was lying. ⁵ And seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralytic, Child, your sins are forgiven to you. ⁶ But some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, ⁷ Why does this one speak blasphemies this way? Who is able to forgive sins, except One, God? ⁸ And instantly knowing in His spirit that they reasoned this way within themselves, Jesus said to them, Why do you reason these things in your hearts? ⁹ Which is easier? To say to the paralytic, Your sins are forgiven to you, or to say, Rise up and take your cot and walk? ¹⁰ But that you may know that the Son of man has authority to forgive sins on the earth, He said to the paralytic, ¹¹ I say to you, Rise up and take up your cot and go to your house. ¹² And at once he rose up. And taking his cot, he went out before all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, Never did we see it this way.

¹ And He went out from there and came to His native place. And His disciples followed Him.

⁴² Or how can you say to your brother, Brother, let me pull out the twig in your eye, not yourself seeing the log in your eye? Hypocrite! First take the log out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the twig in your brother's eye.

³ And being short of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, They have no wine. ⁴ Jesus said to her, What is that to Me and to you, woman? My hour has not yet come.

²⁸ Then the woman left her waterpot and went away into the city and said to the men,

⁴⁶ Then Jesus came again to Cana of Galilee where He made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman whose son was sick in Capernaum. ⁴⁷ Hearing that Jesus was coming from Judea into Galilee, this one went out to Him and asked Him that He would come and heal his son, for he was about to die. ⁴⁸ Then Jesus said to him, Unless you see signs and wonders, you will not at all believe. ⁴⁹ The nobleman said to Him, Sir, come down before my child dies. ⁵⁰ Jesus said to him, Go! Your son lives. And the man believed the word which Jesus said to him, and went away. ⁵¹ But already, as he was going down, his slaves met him and reported, saying, Your child lives. ⁵² He then asked from them the hour in which he had gotten better. And they said to him, Yesterday, at the seventh hour, the fever left him. ⁵³ Then the father knew that it was at that hour in which Jesus said to him, Your son lives. And he himself, and his whole household, believed.

³ Then His brothers said to Him, Move away from here and go to Judea, that your disciples will also see your works which you do, ⁴ for no one does anything in secret and himself seeks to be in public. If you do these things, reveal yourself to the world.

²¹ Then the one teaching another, do you not teach yourself? The one preaching not to steal, do you steal? ²² The one saying not to commit adultery, do you commit adultery? The one detesting the idols, do you rob temples?

³⁴ "For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who became His counselor?" Isa. 40:13 ³⁵ "Or who first gave to Him, and it will be repaid to him?" Job 41:11

¹⁶ So as we now know no one according to flesh, but even if we have known Christ according to flesh, yet now we no longer know Him so .

⁵⁷ And they were offended in Him. But Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honor, except in his own homeland, and in his own house.

⁴ And Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honor, except in his native place, and among the relatives, and in his own house. ⁵ And He could do no work of power there, except He performed healing on a few infirm ones, laying on His hands.

⁴¹ And many more believed through His word.

⁴⁴ For Jesus Himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own native place.

³ Indeed I am a man, a Jew having been born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but having been brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, having been trained according to the exactness of the ancestral law, being a zealous one of God, even as you all are today.

¹⁸ and I saw Him saying to me, Hurry and go out quickly from Jerusalem, because they will not receive your testimony concerning Me. ¹⁹ And I said, Lord, they understand that I was imprisoning and beating the ones believing on You throughout the synagogues. ²⁰ And when the blood of Your witness Stephen was poured out, I myself also was standing by and consenting to his execution, and holding the garments of those killing him. ²¹ And He said to me, Go, for I will send you to the nations afar off. ²² And they heard him until this word, and lifted up their voice, saying, Take such a one from the earth, for it is not fitting that he should live!

¹ And Elijah the Tishbite, of the sojourners of Gilead, said to Ahab, As Jehovah the God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall be no dew nor rain these years, except according to my word.

¹ And it happened after many days the word of Jehovah came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, show yourself to Ahab, and I will give rain on the face of the earth. ² And Elijah went to be seen by Ahab. And the famine in Samaria was severe.

⁸ For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, says Jehovah.

¹⁵ Or is it not lawful for me to do what I desire with my things? Or is your eye evil because I am good?

²⁶ And the woman was a Greek, a Syro-phenocian by race. And she asked Him, that He would cast out the demon from her daughter. ²⁷ And Jesus said to her, First, allow the children to be satisfied, for it is not good to take the children's bread and to throw it to the dogs. ²⁸ But she answered and said to Him, Yes, Lord; for even the dogs under the table eat from the crumbs of the children. ²⁹ And He said to her, Because of this word, go. The demon has gone out from your daughter.

²¹ In the same hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit, and said, I praise You, Father, Lord of Heaven and of earth, that You hid these things from the sophisticated and cunning and revealed them to babes; yes, Father, because so it was pleasing before You.

¹⁵ For He said to Moses, "I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will pity whomever I will pity." Ex. 33:19

²⁰ Yes, rather, O man, who are you answering against God? Shall the thing formed say to the One forming it, Why did You make me like this? Isa. 29:16

⁹ making known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself,

¹¹ in whom we also have been chosen to an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of the One working all things according to the counsel of His own will,

¹⁷ Elijah was a man of like feeling to us, and he prayed in prayer for it not to rain; and it did not rain on the earth three years and six months.

⁹ Rise up, go to Zarephath that belongs to Sidon; and you shall live there. Behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain you. ¹⁰ And he rose up and went to Zarephath, and came in to the entrance of the city; and, behold, a widow woman was gathering sticks. And he called to her and said, Please bring to me a little water in a vessel, and I shall drink. ¹¹ And she went to bring it . And he called to her and said, Please bring me a bit of bread in your hand. ¹² And she said, As Jehovah your God lives, I do not have a cake, only a handful of meal in a pitcher, and a little oil in a jar; and behold, I am gathering two sticks and will go in and prepare for myself and for my son; and we shall eat it, and die. ¹³ And Elijah said to her, Do not fear, go, do according to your word, only first make me a little cake of it, and bring to me and afterward prepare for you and for your son. ¹⁴ For so says Jehovah the God of Israel, The pitcher of meal shall not be consumed, and the jar of oil shall not fail, until the day that Jehovah sends rain on the land. ¹⁵ And she went and did according to the word of Elijah, and she ate, she and he and her household, many days; ¹⁶ the pitcher of meal was not consumed, and the jar of oil did not fail, according to the word of Jehovah that He spoke by the hand of Elijah. ¹⁷ And it happened after these things, that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house became sick; and his illness was very severe until he had no breath left to him. ¹⁸ And she said to Elijah, What have I to do with you, O man of God? Have you come to me to cause my iniquity to be remembered, and to put my son to death? ¹⁹ And he said to her, Give me your son; and he took him out of her bosom, and caused him to go up into the upper room where he was staying, and laid him on his own bed. ²⁰ And he cried to Jehovah and said, Jehovah my God, have You also brought evil on the widow with whom I am staying, by slaying her son? ²¹ And he stretched himself on the child three times, and called to Jehovah and said, O Jehovah my God, I beg You, let the soul of this boy return to him. ²² And Jehovah listened to the voice of Elijah, and the soul of the boy returned to him, and he lived. ²³ And Elijah took the boy and brought him down from the upper room of the house, and gave him to his mother; and Elijah said, See your son lives! ²⁴ And the woman said to Elijah, Now I know this, that you are a man of God, and the word of Jehovah in your mouth is truth.

²⁰ And the exiles of this force shall go to the sons of Israel who shall possess the land of the Canaanites to Zarephath; even the exiles of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad shall possess the cities of the Negeb.

²¹ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the powerful acts which have taken place in you had happened in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

¹⁹ And he left there and found Elisha the son of Shaphat; and he was plowing; twelve pairs were before him, and he was with the twelfth. And Elijah passed over to him, and threw his mantle upon him. ²⁰ And he left the oxen and ran after Elijah, and said, Please let me kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow you. And he said to him, Go back; for what have I done to you? ²¹ And he returned from following him, and took the pair of oxen, and sacrificed them, and boiled their flesh with the yoke of the oxen, and gave to the people, and they ate. Then he arose and went after Elijah and ministered to him.

¹ And Naaman the commander of the army of the king of Syria was a great and exalted man before his lord, for Jehovah had given deliverance to Syria by him. And he was a brave warrior, but leprous. ² And the Syrians had gone out in bands, and they seized from the land of Israel a little girl. And she was before Naaman's wife. ³ And she said to her mistress, Oh that my lord were before the prophet who is in Samaria! Then he would recover him from his leprosy. ⁴ And one went in and told his lord, saying, This and this she said, the girl who is from the land of Israel. ⁵ And the king of Syria said, Go, go in, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel. And he went and took in his hand ten talents of silver, and six thousand of gold, and ten changes of garments. ⁶ And he came to the king of Israel with the letter, saying, And now when this letter comes to you, behold, I have sent to you my servant Naaman. And you shall recover him from his leprosy. ⁷ And it happened, when the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his garments and said, Am I God, to kill and to keep alive, that this one is sending to me to recover a man from his leprosy? For consider now, and see for he is coiling himself toward me. ⁸ And it happened, when Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his garments, he sent to the king, saying, Why have you torn your garments? Let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel. ⁹ And Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha. ¹⁰ And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, Go, and you shall wash seven times in the Jordan. And your flesh shall return to you, and you shall he clean. ¹¹ And Naaman was angry, and went on, and said, Behold, I said, He will certainly come out to me and will stand and call on the name of Jehovah his God, and will wave his hand over the place, and recover the leper. ¹² Are not Abanah and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Shall I not wash in them and he clean? And he turned and went on in fury. ¹³ And his servants came near and spoke to him, and said, My father, if the prophet had spoken a great thing to you would you not do it ? How much rather then when he says to you, Wash, and be clean? ¹⁴ And he went down and dipped in the Jordan seven times, according to the word of the man of God. And his flesh returned like the flesh of a little boy, and he was clean. ¹⁵ And he went back to the man of God, he and all his company, and came in and stood before him, and said, Behold, now I know that there is not a God in all the earth except in Israel. And now, please take a blessing from your servant. ¹⁶ And he said, As Jehovah lives, before whom I stand, I shall not take. And he pressed on him to take, but he refused. ¹⁷ And Naaman said, If not, please let a couple of mules' burden of earth be given to your servant. For your servant shall not make any more burnt offering and sacrifice to other gods only to Jehovah. ¹⁸ May Jehovah pardon your servant for this thing, when my lord goes to the house of Rimmon to bow there, and he is supported by my hand, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon; when I bow myself in the house of Rimmon, may Jehovah pardon your servant in this thing. ¹⁹ And he said to him, Go in peace. And he went away a little way from him. ²⁰ And Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my lord has spared this Syrian, Naaman, not to receive from his hand that which he has brought As Jehovah lives, surely I will run after him, then I shall take something from him. ²¹ And Gehazi ran after Naaman. And Naaman saw one running after him, and got down from the chariot to meet him, and said, Peace? ²² And he said, Peace. My lord has sent me, saying, Behold this now, two young men from the hills of Ephraim have come to me, of the sons of the prophets. Please give to them a talent of silver, and two changes of garments. ²³ And Naaman said, Be pleased, take two talents. And he forced these on him, and bound two talents of silver and two purses, and two changes of garments, and gave to two of his young men, and they carried before him. ²⁴ And he came into the hill, and took out of their hand, and put away in the house, and sent away the men. And they went. ²⁵ And he went in and stood by his lord. And Elisha said to him, Where from Gehazi? And he said, Your servant did not go here or there. ²⁶ And he said to him. Did not my heart go out when the man turned from his chariot to meet you. Is it a time to take silver, and to take garments and olives, and vineyards, and flock, and herd, and male slaves, and slave-girls? ²⁷ Yea, the leprosy of Naaman shall cling to you, and to your seed forever. And he went out from him as leprous as snow.

²² Shall any teach God knowledge, since He shall judge the exalted?

¹³ Why do you contend against Him, since He does not give account to you for any of His matters?

²³ Who has appointed Him His way; or who can say, You have done wrong?

³⁵ And all the inhabitants of the earth are counted as nothing. And He does according to His will among the army of Heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth. And no one is able to strike His hand or say to Him, What are You doing?

⁴ How he entered into the house of God, and he ate the Bread of Arrangement, which it was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those with him, but for the priests only?

¹² While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name; I guarded those whom You gave to Me, and not one of them was lost, except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

¹⁰ And Asa was angry with the seer; and he gave him up to the house of stocks. For he was in a rage with him for this. And Asa oppressed some of the people at that time.

²⁰ And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, and he stood before the people and said to them, So says God, Why do you transgress the commandments of Jehovah, and do not prosper? Because you have forsaken Jehovah, He has forsaken you. ²¹ And they conspired against him, and stoned him with stones by the command of the king, in the court of the house of Jehovah.

¹⁵ And the rulers were angry with Jeremiah and struck him, and they put him in the house of binding, the house of Jonathan the scribe. For they had made it into a prison house. ¹⁶ When Jeremiah had gone into the house of the pit, and into the cells, then Jeremiah remained there many days.

⁶ And they took Jeremiah and threw him into the pit of Malchiah, the king's son, which was in the court of the guardhouse. And they let Jeremiah down with ropes. But no water was in the pit, only mud. So Jeremiah sank into the mud.

¹¹ But they were filled with madness and talked to one another as to what they might do to Jesus.

⁵³ And as He was saying these things to them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to be terribly angry, and to draw Him out concerning many things, ⁵⁴ lying in ambush for Him, and seeking to catch something out of His mouth that they might accuse Him.

³³ But those hearing were cut, and they took counsel to do away with them.

⁵⁴ And hearing these things, they were cut to their hearts and gnashed the teeth on him.

²¹ And He said to me, Go, for I will send you to the nations afar off. ²² And they heard him until this word, and lifted up their voice, saying, Take such a one from the earth, for it is not fitting that he should live! ²³ And they shouting, and tearing the garments, and throwing dust into the air,

¹⁵ who both killed the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, also driving us out, and not pleasing God, and being contrary to all men, ¹⁶ hindering us from speaking to the nations in order that they be saved, to fill up their sins always. But the wrath has come on them to the uttermost.

³⁵ And Jehovah said to Moses, The man shall surely be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.

¹² And the sons of Judah captured ten thousand alive, and they brought them to the top of the rock and threw them from the top of the rock; and all of them were broken.

¹⁴ The wicked have drawn out the sword and they have trodden their bow, to cause the poor and needy to fall; to kill those who walk uprightly.

³² The wicked spies on the righteous and seeks to kill him. ³³ Jehovah does not leave him in his hand, nor allow him to be found guilty in his judgment.

³⁷ I know that you are Abraham's seed, but you seek to kill Me, because My Word has no place in you.

⁴⁰ But now you seek to kill Me, a man who has spoken the truth to you, which I heard alongside of God. Abraham did not do this.

⁵⁹ Because of this, they took up stones that they might throw them on Him. But Jesus was hidden, and went forth out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

²⁴ If I did not do the works among them which no other did, they had no sin. But now they both have seen and also have hated Me and My Father. ²⁵ But that may be fulfilled the Word that has been written in their Law, "They hated Me without a cause." Psa. 69:4

⁵⁷ And crying out with a loud voice, they held their ears and rushed on him with one passion. ⁵⁸ And throwing him outside the city, they stoned him . And the witnesses put off their garments at the feet of a young man called Saul.

²³ And laying on them many stripes, they threw them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them securely, ²⁴ who, receiving such a charge, threw them into the inner prison, and locked their feet in the stocks.

²⁸ crying out, Men, Israelites, help! This is the man who teaches all everywhere against the people and the Law and this place. And even more, he also brought Greeks into the temple and has defiled this holy place. ²⁹ For they had before seen Trophimus the Ephesian in the city with him, whom they supposed that Paul brought into the temple. ³⁰ And the whole city was moved, and there was a running together of people. And having laid hold of Paul, they drew him outside of the temple, and at once the doors were shut. ³¹ But as they were seeking to kill him, a report came up to the chiliarch of the cohort, that all Jerusalem is in a tumult. ³² He at once ran down to them, taking soldiers and centurions. And seeing the chiliarch and the soldiers, they stopped beating Paul.

¹² Indeed, because of this, in order that He might sanctify the people by His own blood, Jesus suffered outside the gate.

³⁹ Then again they sought to seize Him. And He went forth out of their hand.

⁶ Then when He said to them, I AM, they departed into the rear and fell to the ground. ⁷ Then again He asked, Whom do you seek? And they said, Jesus the Nazarene.

¹⁸ And day having come, there was not a little disturbance among the soldiers, saying, What, then, became of Peter?

²³ But when they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For truly I say to you, In no way will you have finished the cities of Israel until the Son of man comes.

²³ And He said to them, Surely you will speak this parable to Me, Physician, heal yourself. What things we heard were happening in Capernaum, do also here in your native place.

⁵⁰ But the Jews excited the devout and honorable women, and the chief ones of the city, and raised up a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and threw them out from their borders.

⁶ perceiving this, they fled to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra and Derbe, and the surrounding country. ⁷ And they were announcing the gospel there.

¹⁹ But Jews came there from Antioch and Iconium, and persuading the crowds, and stoning Paul, they dragged him outside the city, supposing him to have died. ²⁰ But the disciples surrounding him, arising he entered into the city. And on the morrow he went away with Barnabas to Derbe. ²¹ And having announced the gospel to that city, and having made many disciples, they returned to Lystra and Iconium and Antioch,

¹ And traveling through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue of the Jews. ² And according to Paul's custom, he went in to them and reasoned with them from the Scriptures on three sabbaths, ³ opening and setting forth that the Christ must have suffered, and to have risen from the dead, and that this is the Christ, Jesus, whom I announce to you.

¹⁰ But the brothers at once sent both Paul and Silas to Berea during the night; who having arrived went into the synagogue of the Jews. ¹¹ And these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, for they received the Word with all readiness, daily examining the Scriptures if these things are so .

¹⁶ But awaiting them in Athens, Paul's spirit was pained within him, seeing the city full of images. ¹⁷ Then, indeed, he addressed the Jews in the synagogue, and those worshiping, also in the market every day, to those happening to be there .

⁴ And he reasoned in the synagogue on every sabbath persuading both Jews and Greeks.

¹ And after the ceasing of the tumult, having called the disciples, and having greeted them, Paul went away to go into Macedonia. ² And passing through those parts, and exhorting them with much speech, he came into Greece.

²³ but that the Holy Spirit testifies city by city saying that bonds and afflictions await me. ²⁴ But I make account of nothing, nor do I hold my life precious to myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, fully to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

²⁸ The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream. And he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully. What has the straw to do with the grain, says Jehovah? ²⁹ Is not My word thus like fire, says Jehovah, and like a hammer which breaks a rock in pieces?

²⁸ And it happened, when Jesus had finished these sayings, the crowds were astonished at His doctrine. ²⁹ For He was teaching them as having authority, and not as the scribes.

³⁶ And astonishment came on all. And they spoke with one another, saying, What word is this, that He commands the unclean spirits with authority and power, and they come out?

⁶³ It is the Spirit that gives life. The flesh does not profit, nothing! The words which I speak to you are spirit and are life.

⁴ And my word and my preaching was not in moving words of human wisdom, but in proof of the Spirit and of power, ⁵ that your faith might not be in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

²⁴ But if all prophesy, and some unbeliever or one not instructed comes in, he is convicted by all, he is judged by all. ²⁵ And so the secrets of his heart become revealed; and so, falling on his face, he will worship God, declaring that God is truly among you.

² But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor adulterating the word of God, but by the revelation of the truth commending ourselves to every conscience of men before God.

⁴ for the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but powerful to God in order to pull down strongholds, ⁵ pulling down imaginations and every high thing lifting up itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought into the obedience of Christ,

⁵ For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and in much assurance, even as you know what kind we were among you for your sake.

¹⁵ Speak these things and exhort and convict with all authority. Let no one despise you.

¹² For the word of God is living, and powerfully working, and sharper than every two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of both soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge of the thoughts and intentions of the heart; ¹³ and there is no creature unrevealed before Him; but all things are naked and laid open to His eyes, with whom is our account.

²³ And a man with an unclean spirit was in their synagogue. And he cried out,

¹⁰ For You will not leave My soul in Sheol; You will not give Your Holy One to see corruption.

²⁴ saying, What is to us and to You, Jesus, Nazarene? Have You come to destroy us? I know You, who You are, the Holy One of God.

³⁴ And He healed many who had illness of various diseases. And he cast out many demons, and He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him.

⁷ And crying with a loud voice, he said, What is to me and to You, Jesus, Son of the most high God? I adjure You by God, do not torment me.

³⁵ And answering, the angel said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you, and for this reason that Holy One being born of you will be called Son of God.

⁴¹ And also demons came out from many, crying out and saying, You are the Christ, the Son of God! And rebuking them, He did not allow them to speak, for they knew Him to be the Christ.

³⁷ And all the multitude of the neighborhood of the Gadarenes were seized with a great fear. And they asked Him to depart from them. And entering into the boat, He returned.

²⁷ because You will not leave My soul in Hades, nor will You give Your Holy One to see corruption.

¹⁴ But you denied the Holy and Just One, and asked for a man, a murderer, to be granted to you.

³⁹ And coming, they begged them . And bringing them out, they asked them to go out of the city.

¹⁴ Since, then, the children have partaken of flesh and blood, in like manner He Himself also shared the same things, that through death He might cause to cease the one having the power of death, (that is, the Devil);

¹⁹ You believe that God is one. You do well; even the demons believe and shudder.

⁸ The one practicing sin is of the Devil, because the Devil sins from the beginning. For this the Son of God was revealed, that He undo the works of the Devil.

⁷ And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia, write: These things says the Holy One, the True One, the One having "the key of David," "the One opening, and no one shuts; and shuts, and no one opens:" Isa. 22:22

² And he laid hold of the dragon, the old serpent who is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

¹⁶ But to the wicked, God says, What is it to you to proclaim My statutes, and to take up My covenant on your mouth?

² And Jehovah said to Satan, Jehovah rebuke you, Satan! And, Jehovah who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked out of the fire?

²⁶ And He said to them, Why are you afraid, little-faiths? Then rising up, He rebuked the winds and the sea. And there was a great calm.

¹⁸ And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon came out from him; and the boy was healed from that hour.

²⁶ And the unclean spirit convulsing him, and crying out with a loud voice, he came out of him.

¹¹ And when the unclean spirits saw Him, they fell down before Him, and cried out, saying, You are the Son of God! ¹² And he warned them very much that they should not reveal Him.

²⁶ And crying out, and convulsing him very much, it came out. And he became as if dead, so as for many to say that he died.

³⁹ And standing over her, He rebuked the fever; and it left her. And rising up instantly, she served them.

²⁴ And coming up they awakened Him, saying, Master! Master! We are perishing! And being aroused, He rebuked the wind and the roughness of the water; and they ceased, and there was a calm.

³⁹ And, behold, a spirit takes him, and he suddenly cries out, and it throws him into convulsions, with foaming. And it departs from him with pain, bruising him.

⁴² But as he was yet coming up, the demon tore him and violently convulsed him . But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit and healed the child, and gave him back to his father.

²² But as soon as one stronger than he comes, he overcomes him; he takes away his armor on which he relied, and deals out his arms.

¹⁷ Following after Paul and us, she cried out, saying, These men are slaves of the Most High God, who are announcing to us a way of salvation! ¹⁸ And she did this over many days. But becoming distressed, and turning to the demonic spirit, Paul said, In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out from her! And it came out in that same hour.

¹² Because of this, be glad, the heavens and those tabernacling in them. Woe to the ones dwelling on the earth, and in the sea, because the Devil came down to you having great anger, knowing that he has a little time!

³³ And the demon being cast out, the dumb one spoke. And the crowds marveled, saying, Never was it seen this way in Israel.

²² Then one having been demon-possessed was brought to Him, blind and dumb. And He healed him, so that the blind and dumb one could both speak and see. ²³ And all the crowds were amazed, and said, Is this not the son of David?

³⁷ And they were most exceedingly amazed, saying, He has done all things well. He makes even the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.

¹⁷ And signs will follow to those believing these things: they will cast out demons in My name; they will speak new languages; ¹⁸ they will take up snakes; and if they drink anything deadly, it will in no way hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will be well. ¹⁹ Then indeed, after speaking to them, the Lord was taken up into Heaven, and sat off the right of God. Psa. 110:1 ²⁰ And going out, they preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word by the signs following. Amen.

¹⁷ And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us through Your Name. ¹⁸ And He said to them, I saw Satan falling out of Heaven as lightning! ¹⁹ Behold, I have given you the authority to tread on snakes and scorpions, and on all the power of the Enemy, and nothing shall hurt you, not at all ²⁰ But stop rejoicing in this, that the evil spirits submit to you. But rather rejoice that your names are written in Heaven.

¹² so as even handkerchiefs or aprons from his skin to be brought onto those sick, and the diseases to be released from them, and the evil spirits to go out from them. ¹³ But certain from the strolling Jews, exorcists, undertook to name the name of the Lord Jesus over those having evil spirits, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches. ¹⁴ And there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, doing this. ¹⁵ But answering the evil spirit said, I know Jesus, and I comprehend Paul, but who are you? ¹⁶ And the man in whom was the evil spirit leaped on them, and overcoming them, he was strong against them, and having been wounded, they fled out of the house naked.

²² who going into Heaven is at the right of God, the angels, and authorities, and powers being subjected to Him).

¹³ Behold, My Servant shall rule wisely; He shall be exalted and lifted up and be very high.

¹⁴ And Herod the king heard, for His name became publicly known. And he said, John the Baptist has been raised from the dead, and because of this the works of power operate in him.

¹⁴ And coming to the house of Peter, Jesus saw his mother-in-law laid out and in a fever. ¹⁵ And He touched her hand, and her fever left her. And she rose up and served them.

²³ But He did not answer her a word. And coming near, His disciples asked Him, saying, Send her away, for she cries out after us.

²⁹ And at once going out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. ³⁰ And the mother-in-law of Simon was laid out, stricken by fever. And at once they spoke to Him about her. ³¹ And coming near, He raised her up, holding her hand. And the fever left her instantly, and she served them.

³ And hearing about Jesus, he sent elders of the Jews to Him, asking Him that He might come to restore his slave. ⁴ And coming to Jesus, they earnestly begged Him, saying, He to whom You give this is worthy.

³ Then the sisters sent to Him, saying, Lord, behold, the one whom You love is sick.

²² But even now I know that whatever You may ask God, God will give You.

⁵ Have we not authority to lead about a sister, a wife, as the rest of the apostles also, and Cephas, and the Lord's brothers do ?

¹⁴ Is any among you sick? Let him call the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. ¹⁵ And the prayer of faith will cure those being sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he may have committed sin, it will be forgiven him.

¹² What shall I return to Jehovah for His benefits to me?

³⁵ And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be silent, and come out from him! And throwing him into the midst, the demon came out from him, not harming him.

² also certain women who were healed from evil spirits and infirmities: Mary, having been called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out, ³ and Joanna, wife of Chuza, Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, who were ministering to Him of their possessions.

¹⁴ For the love of Christ constrains us, having judged this, that if One died for all, then the all died; ¹⁵ and He died for all, that the living ones may live no more to themselves, but to the One having died for them and having been raised.

²³ And Jesus went around all Galilee teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every one of the illnesses among the people. ²⁴ And the report of Him went out into all Syria. And they brought to Him all the ones having illness, suffering various diseases and torments, also those having been demon-possessed, and those having been moonstruck, and paralytics; and He healed them.

¹⁶ And evening having come on, they brought to Him many having been possessed by demons. And He cast out the spirits by a word, and He healed all those having illness, ¹⁷ so that it might be fulfilled that spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, "He took upon Himself our weaknesses, and bore our sicknesses." Isa. 53:4

¹³ And having heard, Jesus withdrew privately from there in a boat, into a deserted place. And hearing, the crowds followed Him on foot out of the cities.

³² And evening coming, when the sun set, they brought to Him all those having illness and those having been demon-possessed. ³³ And the whole city was gathered at the door. ³⁴ And He healed many who had illness of various diseases. And he cast out many demons, and He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him.

¹⁰ For He healed many, so that they fell on Him, that they might touch Him, as many as had plagues.

²³ And he begged Him very much, saying, My daughter is at the last end. I pray that You will come and lay hands on her, that she may be cured and live.

⁵ And He could do no work of power there, except He performed healing on a few infirm ones, laying on His hands.

⁵⁵ they ran around all that neighborhood. And they began to carry about those having illness on cots to where they heard that He was. ⁵⁶ And wherever He went into villages or cities or fields, they laid the ailing ones in the markets and begged Him if only they may touch the fringe of His garment. And as many as touched Him were healed.

²¹ And in the same hour He healed many from diseases and plagues and evil spirits. And He gave to many blind ones ability to see. ²² And answering, Jesus said to them, Going, report to John what you saw and heard: "Blind ones see again;" "lame ones walk about;" "lepers are being cleansed; "deaf ones hear;" dead ones are raised; poor ones are given the gospel. Isa. 35:5, 6; 61:1 ²³ And blessed is he who is not offended in Me.

¹⁵ so as to carry out the sick in the streets, and to place them on cots and mattresses, that at the coming of Peter, if even his shadow might overshadow some of them.

¹² so as even handkerchiefs or aprons from his skin to be brought onto those sick, and the diseases to be released from them, and the evil spirits to go out from them.

⁶³ But Jesus kept silent. And answering, the high priest said to Him, I adjure you by the living God that you tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God.

²⁵ And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be quiet, and come out of him.

¹¹ And when the unclean spirits saw Him, they fell down before Him, and cried out, saying, You are the Son of God!

³⁴ saying, Aha! What is to us and to You, Jesus, Nazarene? Did You come to destroy us? I know You, who You are, the Holy One of God. ³⁵ And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be silent, and come out from him! And throwing him into the midst, the demon came out from him, not harming him.

³¹ But these have been written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

¹³ And having heard, Jesus withdrew privately from there in a boat, into a deserted place. And hearing, the crowds followed Him on foot out of the cities. ¹⁴ And going out, Jesus saw a great crowd and was filled with pity toward them. And He healed their infirm ones.

³⁵ And rising up quite early in the night, He went out and went away into a deserted place. And He was praying there. ³⁶ And Simon and those with him searched for Him. ³⁷ And finding Him, they said to Him, All are seeking You. ³⁸ And He said to them, Let us go into the neighboring towns, that I may proclaim there also. For it was for this I came forth.

³³ And the crowds saw them going, and many recognized Him. And they ran together on foot there, from all the cities, and came before them, and came together to Him. ³⁴ And going out, Jesus saw a large crowd, and had pity on them, because "they were as sheep having no shepherd." And He began to teach them many things. Num. 27:17; Eze. 34:5

¹² And it happened in these days, He went out into the mountain to pray. And He was spending the night in prayer to God.

³⁷ And all the multitude of the neighborhood of the Gadarenes were seized with a great fear. And they asked Him to depart from them. And entering into the boat, He returned. ³⁸ And the man from whom the demons had gone out begged Him, desiring to be with Him. But Jesus sent him away, saying,

²⁹ And they constrained Him, saying, Stay with us, for it is toward evening, and the day has declined. And He went in to stay with them.

³⁴ Jesus said to them, My food is that I should do the will of Him who sent Me, and that I may finish His work.

⁴⁰ Then as the Samaritans came to Him, they asked Him to remain with them. And He remained there two days.

²⁴ Therefore, when the crowd saw that Jesus was not there nor His disciples, they themselves also entered into the boats and came to Capernaum seeking Jesus.

¹⁶ Come near to me; hear this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning. From its being, I was there; and now the Lord Jehovah, and His Spirit, has sent Me.

¹⁴ And after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom of God, ¹⁵ and saying, The time has been fulfilled, and the kingdom of God draws near. Repent and believe in the gospel.

³⁸ And He said to them, Let us go into the neighboring towns, that I may proclaim there also. For it was for this I came forth. ³⁹ And He was proclaiming in their synagogues in all Galilee, and casting out the demons.

³⁸ For I have come down out of Heaven, not that I should do My will, but the will of Him who sent Me. ³⁹ And this is the will of the Father sending Me, that of all that He has given Me, I shall not lose any of it, but shall raise it up in the last day. ⁴⁰ And this is the will of the One sending Me, that everyone seeing the Son and believing into Him should have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

⁴ It is necessary for Me to work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day. Night comes when no one is able to work.

²¹ Then Jesus said to them again, Peace to you. As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.

² preach the Word, be urgent in season, out of season, convict, warn, encourage with all long-suffering and teaching.
