¹⁶ And He said, I have sworn by Myself, declares Jehovah, that on account of this thing you have done, and not have withheld your son, your only son,

² And I will make of you a great nation. And I will bless you and make your name great; and you will be a blessing.

⁹ which He cut with Abraham, and His oath to Isaac;

²³ I have sworn by Myself, the word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that to Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

¹³ For I have sworn by Myself, declares Jehovah, that Bozrah shall become a ruin, a reproach, a waste, and a curse. And all its cities shall be wastes forever.

¹⁴ Jehovah of Hosts has sworn by Himself, saying, Surely I will fill you with men as with locusts, and they shall lift up a shout against you.

⁸ The Lord Jehovah has sworn by Himself, declares Jehovah, the God of hosts: I abhor the pride of Jacob, and hate his palaces; and I will shut up the city and its fullness.

⁷³ the oath which He swore to our father Abraham,

¹³ For the promise was not through law to Abraham, or to his seed, for him to be the heir of the world, but through a righteousness of faith. ¹⁴ For if those of Law are heirs, faith has been made of no effect, and the promise has been destroyed.

¹³ For God having made promise to Abraham, since He had no greater to swear by, " He swore by Himself," ¹⁴ saying, "Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you." Gen. 22:16, 17
