¹ But still breathing threats and murder toward the disciples of the Lord, coming to the high priest, ² Saul asked from him letters to Damascus, to the synagogues, so that if he found any being of the Way, both men and women, having bound them he might bring them to Jerusalem. ³ But in the going it happened! He drew near to Damascus, and suddenly a light from the heaven shone around him. ⁴ And falling on the earth he heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul! Why do you persecute Me? ⁵ And he said, Sir, who are you? And the Lord said, I am Jesus, whom you persecute; it is hard for you to kick against the prods. ⁶ Both trembling and being astonished he said, Lord, what do you desire me to do? And the Lord said to him, Rise up and go into the city, and it will be told you what you must do. ⁷ But the men traveling with him had been standing speechless, indeed hearing the voice, but seeing no one. ⁸ And Saul was lifted up from the earth, but his eyes being opened he saw no one. And leading him by the hand they brought him to Damascus. ⁹ And he was three days not seeing, and did not eat or drink. ¹⁰ And there was a certain disciple in Damascus named Ananias. And the Lord said to him in a vision, Ananias! And he said, Behold, Lord, I am here . ¹¹ And the Lord said to him, Rising up pass along on the street being called Straight and seek a Tarsian, Saul by name, in the house of Judas. For, behold, he is praying. ¹² And he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in and putting a hand on him, so that he may see again. ¹³ And Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how many bad things he did to Your saints in Jerusalem. ¹⁴ And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all the ones calling on Your name. ¹⁵ And the Lord said to him, Go, for this one is a chosen vessel to Me, to bear My name before nations and kings and the sons of Israel. ¹⁶ For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of My name. ¹⁷ And Ananias went away and entered into the house. And putting hands on him he said, Brother Saul, the Lord has sent me, Jesus, the One who appeared to you in the highway on which you came, that you may see and be filled of the Holy Spirit. ¹⁸ And instantly it was as if scales fell away from his eyes. And rising up at the thing happening, he was baptized. ¹⁹ And taking food he was strengthened. And Saul was with the disciples in Damascus some days. ²⁰ And at once in the synagogues he proclaimed the Christ, that this One is the Son of God. ²¹ And all those hearing were amazed and said, Is this not the one destroying those who have called on this Name in Jerusalem, and he had come here for this, that binding them he might lead them before the chief priests? ²² But Saul was more filled with power, and he confounded the Jews living in Damascus, proving that this One is the Christ. ²³ And when many days were fulfilled, the Jews plotted together to do away with him. ²⁴ But their plot was known to Saul. And they carefully watched the gates both by day and by night so that to do away with him. ²⁵ But taking him by night the disciples let him down through the wall, lowering in a basket. ²⁶ And Saul arriving in Jerusalem, he tried to be joined to the disciples. And all feared him, not believing that he is a disciple. ²⁷ But taking hold of him, Barnabas led him to the apostles and told them how he saw the Lord in the highway, and that He spoke to him, and how in Damascus he spoke boldly in the name of Jesus. ²⁸ And he was with them, going in and going out in Jerusalem, and speaking boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus. ²⁹ And he spoke and disputed with the Hellenists, and they took him in hand to do away with him . ³⁰ But knowing, the brothers led him down to Caesarea and sent him forth to Tarsus. ³¹ Then, indeed, the churches throughout all Judea, and Galilee, and Samaria, had peace, having been built up and having gone on in the fear of the Lord. And they were increased in the comfort of the Holy Spirit. ³² And it happened, passing through all, Peter also came down to the saints dwelling in Lydda. ³³ And he found there a certain man named Aeneas who had been lying on a mattress eight years, who was paralyzed. ³⁴ And Peter said to him, Aeneas! Jesus the Christ heals you; rise up and spread for yourself. And instantly he rose up. ³⁵ And all those dwelling in Lydda and the Sharon Plain saw him, who then turned to the Lord. ³⁶ And in Joppa was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which translated is called Dorcas Gazelle . She was full of good works and of alms which she did. ³⁷ And it happened in those days, becoming ill, she died. And bathing her, they put her in an upper room. ³⁸ And Lydda being near to Joppa, the disciples hearing that Peter is in it, they sent two men to him, begging him not to delay to come to them. ³⁹ And rising up Peter went with them, and having arrived they led to the upper room. And all the widows stood by him, weeping and showing tunics and garments such as Dorcas made while being with them. ⁴⁰ And putting all out, placing the knees Peter prayed. And turning to the body he said, Tabitha, Arise! And she opened her eyes. And seeing Peter she sat up. ⁴¹ And giving her a hand he raised her up. And calling the saints and the widows he presented her living. ⁴² And it became known through all Joppa. And many believed on the Lord. ⁴³ And it was considerable days that he remained in Joppa with one Simon, a tanner.

¹² Deliver me not into the soul of my enemies; for false witnesses have risen against me, and he that puffs out violence.

⁵⁸ And throwing him outside the city, they stoned him . And the witnesses put off their garments at the feet of a young man called Saul.

³ But Saul ravaged the church, entering house by house, dragging both men and women, he delivered them to prison.

³ Indeed I am a man, a Jew having been born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but having been brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, having been trained according to the exactness of the ancestral law, being a zealous one of God, even as you all are today. ⁴ I persecuted this Way as far as death, binding and delivering up both men and women to prisons, ⁵ as also the high priest and all the elderhood witnesses to me. And having received letters from them to the brothers, I traveled into Damascus even to lead those to Jerusalem being bound there, in order that they might be punished.

⁹ Indeed, I then thought to myself that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus the Nazarene. ¹⁰ Which I also did in Jerusalem, I also shut up many of the saints in prisons, receiving authority from the chief priests; and they being put to death, I cast a vote. ¹¹ And often punishing them through all the synagogues, I compelled them to blaspheme. And being exceedingly furious against them, I even persecuted as far as the outside cities.

⁹ For I am the least of the apostles, who am not sufficient to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

¹³ For you heard my way of life when I was in Judaism, that with surpassing zeal I persecuted the church of God and ravaged it.

⁶ according to zeal, persecuting the church; according to righteousness in Law, being blameless.

¹³ the one who before was a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and insolent; but I received mercy, because being ignorant I did it in unbelief.

⁸ And Haman said to king Ahasuerus, There is a people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of your kingdom. And their laws are different from every people, and they are not doing the king's laws. And it is not for the king's gain to let them alone. ⁹ If it pleases the king, let it be written to destroy them; and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver to the hands of those who do the work, to bring it into the king's treasuries. ¹⁰ And the king took his ring from his hand, and gave it to Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the Jews' vexer. ¹¹ And the king said to Haman, The silver is given to you, also the people, to do with them as seems good to you. ¹² Then the king's scribes were called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and it was written according to all that Haman had commanded to the king's satraps, and to the governors who were over every province, and to the rulers of every people of every province. according to its writing, and to every people according to their language. It was written in the name of king Ahasuerus, and sealed with the king's ring. ¹³ {cf9 : And the documents were sent by the runners into all the king's provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish, all Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day, on the thirteenth of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar, and to take what they owned for a prize.}

² Until when will you judge unjustly, and lift up the faces of the wicked? Selah. ³ Judge the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy. ⁴ Deliver the poor and needy; save out of the hand of the wicked.

⁹ But some of those of the synagogue called Libertines, rose up, also some Cyrenians and Alexandrians, and some of those from Cilicia and Asia Minor, disputing with Stephen.

¹⁹ Dealing slyly with our race, this one oppressed our fathers, causing their infants to be exposed so as not to be kept alive.

¹⁴ And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all the ones calling on Your name.

¹⁴ But going through from Perga, they came to Antioch-Pisidia, and going into the synagogue on the day of the sabbaths, they sat down. ¹⁵ And after the reading of the Law, and of the Prophets, the synagogue rulers sent to them, saying, Men, brothers, if there is a word of exhortation to the people, speak.

²⁵ This one having been taught by mouth in the way of the Lord, and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things about the Lord, having understood only the baptism of John.

⁹ But when some were hardened, and did not obey, speaking evil of the Way before the multitude, departing from them, He separated the disciples, conversing day by day in the school of a certain Tyrannus.

²³ And about that time there was no little disturbance about the Way.

¹⁴ But I confess this to you that according to the Way, which they say is a sect, so I worship the ancestral God believing all things according to that having been written in the Law and the Prophets,

²² And hearing these things, Felix put them off, knowing more accurately about the Way, saying, When Lysias the chiliarch comes down, I will examine the things as to you.

¹² In which also traveling to Damascus with authority and decision power from the chief priests,

¹⁷ And after three days, it happened that Paul called together those being chief of the Jews. And they coming together, he said to them, Men, brothers, I did nothing contrary to the people, or to the ancestral customs. I was delivered a prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans, ¹⁸ who examining me were of a mind to let me go, because no cause of death was in me. ¹⁹ But the Jews speaking against it, I was compelled to appeal to Caesar, not as having anything to accuse my nation. ²⁰ On account of this, then, I called for you, to see and to speak to you . For I have this chain around me for the sake of the hope of Israel. ²¹ And they said to him, We neither received letters concerning you from the Jews, nor having arrived has any one of the brothers reported or spoken anything evil concerning you. ²² But we think it fitting to hear from you as to what you think, for truly as concerning this sect, it is known to us that it is spoken against everywhere.

² covering Yourself with light like a cloak, and stretching out the heavens like a curtain;

¹⁷ And Ananias went away and entered into the house. And putting hands on him he said, Brother Saul, the Lord has sent me, Jesus, the One who appeared to you in the highway on which you came, that you may see and be filled of the Holy Spirit.

⁶ And it happened to me, traveling and drawing near to Damascus: suddenly, about midday, a great light out of the heaven shone around me.

¹² In which also traveling to Damascus with authority and decision power from the chief priests, ¹³ at midday along the highway, O king, I and those with me saw a light from heaven shining around me above the brightness of the sun.

⁸ and last of all, even as if to one born out of time, He was also seen by me.

¹⁶ the only One having immortality, living in light that cannot be approached, whom no one of men saw, nor can see; to whom be honor and everlasting might. Amen.

²³ And the city had no need of the sun, nor of the moon, that they might shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it, even its lamp is the Lamb.

⁵ And night will not be there; and they have no need of a lamp or a light of the sun, because the Lord God will shed light on them. And they shall reign forever and ever.

⁹ And Jehovah God called to the man and said to him, Where are you?

⁸ And He said, Hagar, Sarai's slave-girl, where did you come from? And where do you go? And she said, I am fleeing from the face of my mistress, Sarai.

¹¹ And the Angel of Jehovah called to him from the heavens and said, Abraham! And he said, Behold me.

⁴ And Jehovah saw that he turned aside to see, and God called to him from the midst of the thorn bush, and said, Moses! Moses! And he said, Behold me.

⁴⁵ Get away from the midst of this company, and I shall consume them in a moment; and they fell on their faces.

⁹ In all their affliction, He was not a foe; and the Angel of his Face saved them. In His love and in His pity He redeemed them. And He bore them, and carried them all the days of old.

⁸ For so says Jehovah of hosts: He has sent Me after glory, to the nations who plundered you; for he who touches you touches the pupil of His eye.

⁴⁰ And answering, the King will say to them, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did it to one of these, the least of My brothers, you did it to Me.

⁴⁵ Then He will answer them, saying, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did not do it to one of these, the least, neither did you do it to Me. ⁴⁶ And these shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into everlasting life.

⁴¹ But answering Jesus said to her, Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things,

⁶ Then when He said to them, I AM, they departed into the rear and fell to the ground.

¹⁶ Jesus said to her, Mary! Turning around, she said to Him, Rabboni! (that is to say, Teacher).

¹⁵ Then when they broke fast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these? He said to Him, Yes, Lord, You know that I love You. He said to him, Feed My lambs!

¹⁰ And she immediately fell at his feet and expired. And entering, the younger ones found her dead, and carrying her out, they buried her beside her husband.

⁷ And I fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to me, Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me? ⁸ And I answered, Who are you, Sir? And He said to me, I am Jesus the Nazarene whom you persecute.

¹⁴ And all of us falling to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me, and saying in the Hebrew dialect, Saul, Saul why do you persecute Me? It is hard for you to kick against the prods. ¹⁵ And I said, Who are you, Sir? And He said, I am Jesus whom you persecute;

²² Behold, then, the kindness and severity of God: On those having fallen, severity. But on you, kindness, if you continue in the kindness. Otherwise, you will also be cut off.

⁷ For who makes you to differ? And what do you have that you did not receive? And if you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive?

¹² Even as the body is one, and has many members, but all the members of the one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.

³⁰ For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones.

¹⁵ But Jeshurun grew fat, and kicked; you grew fat, thick and sated. And he abandoned God who made him, and fell away from the Rock of his salvation.

⁴ And Jehovah called to Samuel. And he said, Behold, I am here. ⁵ And he ran to Eli and said, Behold, I am here. For you have called to me. And he said, I did not call. Go back and lie down. And he went and lay down. ⁶ and Jehovah again called Samuel. And Samuel rose up and went to Eli and said, Behold, I am here, for you have called me. And he said, I have not called, my son. Go back and lie down. ⁷ And Samuel did not yet know Jehovah, and the word of Jehovah had not yet been revealed to him. ⁸ And Jehovah again called Samuel, the third time. And he rose up and went to Eli and said, Behold, I am here, for you have called me. And Eli understood at Jehovah was calling the boy. ⁹ And Eli said to Samuel, Go, lie down; and it shall be, if One calls you, even you shall say, Speak, O Jehovah, for Your servant hears you. And Samuel lay down in his place. ¹⁰ And Jehovah came and stood, and called as the other times, Samuel, Samuel! And Samuel said, Speak, for Your servant hears You.

⁴ He is wise in heart and mighty in strength; who has been hard against Him, and been at peace?

⁹ And have you an arm like God; or can you thunder with a voice like His? ¹⁰ Adorn yourself with majesty now, and with grandeur, and clothe yourself with glory and honor;

¹² Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Oh the blessings of all those who flee to Him for refuge!

⁹ Woe to him who fights with the One who formed him! A potsherd among the potsherds of the earth! Shall the clay say to its former, What are you making? Or does your work say, He has no hands?

³⁹ But if it is from God, you will not be able to destroy it, lest you be found even fighters against God.

⁹ Indeed, I then thought to myself that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus the Nazarene.

²² Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He? Deut. 32:21

⁵ And Saul saw the camp of the Philistines, and his heart trembled and he greatly feared.

⁸ Good and upright is Jehovah; therefore He will teach sinners in the way. ⁹ He will guide the meek in justice; and He will teach the meek His way.

¹² What man is he who fears Jehovah? He teaches him the way he should choose.

¹² Blessed is the man You chasten, O Jehovah, You teach him out of Your law;

¹⁸ His ways I have seen, but I will heal him, and will lead him and restore comforting to him and to his mourners.

² And My hand has made all these things, even all these things exist, declares Jehovah. But I will look toward this one, to the afflicted, and to the contrite of spirit, even trembling at My word.

⁶ And when I passed by you and saw you squirming in your blood, I said to you in your blood, Live! Yea, I said to you in your blood, Live! ⁷ As a myriad, as the field shoot I have made you, and you are grown and are great. And you come in the finest ornaments. Your breasts are formed, and your hair is grown, yet you were naked and bare. ⁸ And I passed by you, and I looked on you, and, behold, your time was the time of love. And I spread My skirt over you and covered your nakedness. And I swore to you and entered into a covenant with you, declares the Lord Jehovah. And you became Mine.

¹⁶ I heard, and my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the sound. Rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled within myself that I might rest for the day of distress; to come up against the peoples; he cuts him off.

³⁰ But many first ones shall be last, and last ones first.

¹⁰ And the crowd asked him, saying, What then shall we do?

³⁷ And hearing, they were stabbed in the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, Men, brothers, What shall we do?

¹⁵ And the Lord said to him, Go, for this one is a chosen vessel to Me, to bear My name before nations and kings and the sons of Israel. ¹⁶ For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of My name.

⁶ This one is lodged with one Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the sea. He will tell you what you must do.

²² And they said, Cornelius, a centurion, a just man and one fearing God, and being testified to by all the nation of the Jews, was divinely warned by a holy angel to call you to his house and to hear words from you.

³² Therefore, send to Joppa and call for Simon who is surnamed Peter; this one is lodged in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea. Having come, he will speak to you.

¹³ And he told us how he saw an angel in his house, standing and saying to him, Send men to Joppa, and send for Simon who is surnamed Peter, ¹⁴ who will speak words to you by which you and all your household will be saved.

²⁹ And asking for lights, he rushed in. And becoming trembly, he fell before Paul and Silas. ³⁰ And leading them outside, he said, Sirs, what must I do that I may be saved?

¹⁰ And I said, What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said to me, Rising up, go into Damascus, and there you will be told about all things which are appointed to you to do.

²⁵ And Paul having reasoned concerning righteousness and self control, and the Judgment that is about to be, becoming afraid, Felix answered, For the present, go; but taking time later, I will call for you; ²⁶ and with it all also hoping that silver would be given to him by Paul, that he might free him. Because of this he also more frequently sent for him and conversed with him.

¹⁶ but rise up and stand on your feet, for it is for this reason I appeared to you, to appoint you a servant and a witness both of what you saw, and in what I shall appear to you,

²⁰ But Law came in beside, that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace much more abounded,

⁹ And I was alive apart from law once, but the commandment came, and sin came alive, and I died.

¹⁵ For He said to Moses, "I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will pity whomever I will pity." Ex. 33:19 ¹⁶ So, then, it is not of the one willing, nor of the one running, but of the One showing mercy, of God. ¹⁷ For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "For this very thing I raised you up, so that I might show forth My power in you, and so that My name might be publicized in all the earth." Ex. 9:16 ¹⁸ So, then, to whom He desires, He shows mercy. And to whom He desires, He hardens. ¹⁹ You will then say to me, Why does He yet find fault? For who has resisted His will? ²⁰ Yes, rather, O man, who are you answering against God? Shall the thing formed say to the One forming it, Why did You make me like this? Isa. 29:16 ²¹ Or does not the potter have authority over the clay, out of the one lump to make one vessel to honor, and one to dishonor? Jer. 18:6 ²² But if God, desiring to show forth wrath, and to make His power known, endured in much long-suffering vessels of wrath having been fitted out for destruction, ²³ and that He make known the riches of His glory on vessels of mercy which He before prepared for glory, ²⁴ whom He also called, not only us, of Jews, but also out of nations.

³ For being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not submit to the righteousness of God.

²⁰ But Isaiah is very bold and says, "I was found by those not seeking Me; I became known to those not inquiring after Me." Isa. 65:1

¹⁵ But when God was pleased, "He having separated me from my mother's womb" and having called through His grace, Isa. 49:1 ¹⁶ to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the nations, immediately I did not confer with flesh and blood,

¹² So, then, my beloved, even as you always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much rather in my absence, cultivate your salvation with fear and trembling,

¹⁴ But the grace of our Lord abounded exceedingly with faith and love in Christ Jesus. ¹⁵ Faithful is the Word and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. ¹⁶ But for this reason I received mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all long-suffering, for an example to those being about to believe on Him to everlasting life.

⁶ But He gives greater grace. Because of this it says, "God sets Himself against proud ones, but He gives grace to humble ones." Prov. 3:34

⁷ And I, Daniel, alone saw the vision. For the men who were with me did not see the vision. But a great trembling fell on them so that they fled to hide themselves.

⁴⁰ At that time two will be out in the field; the one is taken away, and the one is left; ⁴¹ two grinding at the mill; one is taken away, and one is left.

²⁹ Then standing and hearing, the crowd said that thunder occurred. Others said, An angel has spoken to Him.

⁹ But those being with me indeed saw the light, and were alarmed, but did not hear His voice speaking to me.

¹³ at midday along the highway, O king, I and those with me saw a light from heaven shining around me above the brightness of the sun. ¹⁴ And all of us falling to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me, and saying in the Hebrew dialect, Saul, Saul why do you persecute Me? It is hard for you to kick against the prods.

¹¹ And they struck the men at the door of the house with blindness, from the small to the great; and they struggled to find the door.

¹¹ And Jehovah said to him, Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes the dumb, or the deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? is it not I, Jehovah?

¹⁷ And Elisha prayed and said, I beg You, O Jehovah, open his eyes so that he may see. And Jehovah opened the eyes of the young man. And he looked, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. ¹⁸ And they came down to it, and Elisha prayed to Jehovah and said, I beg You, strike this nation with blindness. And he struck them with blindness, according to the word of Elisha. ¹⁹ And Elisha said to them, This is not the way, nor is this the city. Follow me, and I will lead you to the man you seek. And he led them to Samaria. ²⁰ And it happened, when they came to Samaria, Elisha said, Open the eyes of these, O Jehovah, and they will see. And Jehovah opened their eyes, and they looked; and, behold, they were in the middle of Samaria!

¹⁸ And instantly it was as if scales fell away from his eyes. And rising up at the thing happening, he was baptized.

¹¹ And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is on you, and you will be blind, not seeing the sun until a time. And instantly a mist and darkness fell on him, and going about he sought some to lead him by the hand.

¹¹ And as I did not see, from the glory of that light, being led by the hand by those being with me, I went into Damascus.

¹² And when he was afflicted, he sought the face of Jehovah his God, and was humbled exceedingly before the face of the God of his fathers; ¹³ and prayed to Him, and He was entreated of him and heard his supplication, and returned him to Jerusalem to his kingdom; and Manasseh knew that Jehovah, He is God.

¹⁸ And the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer to his God, and the things of the seers, who spoke to him in the name of Jehovah the God of Israel, behold, they are in the Book of the Kings of Israel; ¹⁹ and his prayer, and his entreaty, and all his sin, and his trespass, and the places in which he had built high places and set up the Asherahs and the graven images before he was humbled, behold, they are written in the Matters of the Seers.

¹⁶ Go, gather all the Jews being found in Shushan, and fast for me. And do not eat or drink three days, night or day. My maidens and I will also fast in this way. And so I will go in to the king, which is not according to the law. And if I have perished, I have perished.

⁶ And the word touched even to the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he took his robe from him and covered himself with sackcloth and sat on the ashes. ⁷ And he cried and said in Nineveh by the decree of the king and of his great ones, saying, Do not let man or beast, herd or flock, taste anything; do not let them feed nor let them drink water. ⁸ But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth. And let them call with strength to God. And let them each one turn from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their palms.

¹¹ And the Lord said to him, Rising up pass along on the street being called Straight and seek a Tarsian, Saul by name, in the house of Judas. For, behold, he is praying. ¹² And he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in and putting a hand on him, so that he may see again.

¹ And it happened after these things, testing Abraham, God said to him, Abraham! And he said, Behold me.

¹¹ And the Angel of God spoke to me in a dream, Jacob! And I said, Behold me.

⁶ And He said, Now hear My words, If your prophet is of Jehovah, I shall make Myself known to him in an appearance; I will speak to him in a dream.

⁴ And Jehovah called to Samuel. And he said, Behold, I am here.

²⁶ And if He says this, I have not delighted in you, behold, I am here. He shall do to me as seems good in His eyes.

⁸ And I heard the voice of Jehovah, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us? Then I said, Behold me. Send me!

¹⁹ Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision, and Daniel blessed the God of Heaven.

¹⁷ "And it shall be" in the last days, God says, "I will pour from My Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy;" "and your young men shall see visions," "and your old men shall dream dreams;"

³ About the ninth hour of the day, he saw plainly in a vision an angel of God coming to him, and saying to him, Cornelius!

¹⁷ And as Peter was doubting within himself what the vision which he saw might be, even behold, the men who had been sent from Cornelius stood on the porch asking out the house of Simon. ¹⁸ And calling out, they inquired if Simon being surnamed Peter is lodged here. ¹⁹ And as Peter pondered concerning the vision, the Spirit said to him, Behold, three men are seeking you. ²⁰ But rising up, go down and go with them, not discriminating, because I have sent them.

¹² And a certain Ananias, a devout man according to the Law, testified to by all the Jews living there,

²⁹ And if you shall seek Jehovah your God from there, then you shall find Him, if you seek Him with your whole heart, and with all your soul,

¹⁸ He holds back his soul from the Pit, and his life from passing by the sword. ¹⁹ He is also chastened with pain on his bed, and enduring strife in his bones; ²⁰ so that his life loathes bread, and his soul desirable food. ²¹ His flesh wastes away from his sight; and his hones laid bare, they were not seen. ²² Yea, his soul draws near to the Pit, and his life to the dealers of death. ²³ If there is a messenger for him, a mediator, one among a thousand, to declare for man his uprightness, ²⁴ then let Him be gracious to him and say, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, for I have found a ransom! ²⁵ His flesh shall be fresher than in vigor; let him return to the days of his youth. ²⁶ He will pray to God, and He will accept him, and he will see His face with exultation; for He will restore to man his righteousness. ²⁷ He will observe to men and say, I have sinned, and I have perverted uprightness; and it was not equally repaid to me; ²⁸ He has redeemed my soul from passing over into the Pit, and my life shall see the light.

³ When I kept silence, then my bones became old, through my howling all day. ⁴ For by day and by night Your hand was heavy on me; my sap was turned into the droughts of summer. Selah. ⁵ I confessed my sin to You, and I have not hidden my iniquity; I said, I will confess over my transgression to Jehovah; and You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah. ⁶ On account of this let every godly one pray to You; at a time of finding, surely, when great floods come, they will not reach him.

¹ To the chief musician. A Psalm of David. Waiting I have waited on Jehovah; and He bowed to me and heard my cry. ² And He drew me up from the pit of tumult, out of the miry clay; He set my feet on a rock; He directed my steps.

¹⁵ And call on Me in the day of distress; and I will save you; and you shall glorify Me.

¹ A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths I have called You, O Jehovah. ² Lord, hear my voice, and let Your ears attend to the voice of my prayers. ³ If You will keep iniquities, O Jehovah, O Lord, who shall stand?

⁸ The sacrifice of the wicked is a hateful thing to Jehovah, but the prayer of the upright is His delight.

⁶ Seek Jehovah while He may be found; call on Him while He is near. ⁷ Let the wicked forsake his way and the vain man his thoughts; and let him return to Jehovah, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

¹² Then you shall call on Me, and you shall go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. ¹³ And you shall seek and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

¹⁸ I have surely heard Ephraim moaning over himself, saying, You have chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bull not broken in. Turn me, and I shall be turned; for You are Jehovah my God. ¹⁹ For after I had turned away, I repented; and after I was taught, I slapped on my thigh. I was ashamed; yea, I even blushed, because I bore the disgrace of my youth. ²⁰ Is Ephraim My dear son? Or is he a delightful child? For as often as I spoke against him, I earnestly remember him still. So My bowels groan for him; I will surely have pity on him, declares Jehovah.

¹ And Jonah prayed to Jehovah his God out of the belly of the fish. ² And he said, I cried out to Jehovah from my distress. And He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried for help, and You heard my voice. ³ For You cast me into the deep, into the heart of the seas, and the current surrounded me; all Your breakers and Your waves passed over me. ⁴ And I said, I am cast off from Your eyes; yet I will again look to Your holy temple.

¹⁰ And I will pour on the house of David, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of prayers. And they shall look on Me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they shall be bitter over Him, like the bitterness over the first-born.

⁷ Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. ⁸ For each one that asks receives, and the one that seeks finds; and to the one knocking, it will be opened.

⁹ And I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. ¹⁰ For everyone asking receives, and the one seeking finds, and to the one knocking, it will be opened.

⁷ and will God not at all execute the avenging of His elect, those crying to Him day and night, also having been long-suffering over them? ⁸ I say to you that He will carry out the avenging of them speedily. But the Son of man coming then, will He find faith on the earth? ⁹ And He also spoke this parable to some of those relying on themselves, that they are righteous, and despising the rest: ¹⁰ Two men went up into the temple to pray, the one a Pharisee, and the other a tax collector. ¹¹ The Pharisee was standing, praying these things to himself: God, I thank You that I am not as the rest of men, rapacious, unrighteous, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. ¹² I fast twice in the week; I tithe all things, as many as I get. ¹³ And standing at a distance, the tax collector would not even lift up his eyes to Heaven, but smote on his breast, saying, God, be merciful to me, the sinner! ¹⁴ I say to you, this one went down to his house having been justified, rather than that one. For everyone exalting himself will be humbled. And the one humbling himself will be exalted.

⁴² And he said to Jesus, Lord, remember me when You come in Your kingdom. ⁴³ And Jesus said to him, Truly I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.

¹⁰ Jesus answered and said to her, If you knew the gift of God, and who is the One saying to you, Give Me to drink, you would have asked Him, and He would give you living water.

²¹ "And it shall be that everyone who shall call on the name of the Lord will be saved." Joel 3:15

²² Repent, then, from this wickedness of yours, and petition God if perhaps you will be forgiven the thought of your heart.

²⁶ But an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, Rise up and go along south on the highway going down to Jerusalem to Gaza. This is a deserted place .

³⁰ But knowing, the brothers led him down to Caesarea and sent him forth to Tarsus.

⁵ And now send men to Joppa and call for Simon who is surnamed Peter. ⁶ This one is lodged with one Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the sea. He will tell you what you must do.

¹³ And he told us how he saw an angel in his house, standing and saying to him, Send men to Joppa, and send for Simon who is surnamed Peter,

²⁵ And Barnabas went out to Tarsus to seek Saul.

³⁹ But Paul said, Indeed I am a man, a Jew of Tarsus, of Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city. And I beg you, allow me to speak to the people.

³ Indeed I am a man, a Jew having been born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but having been brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, having been trained according to the exactness of the ancestral law, being a zealous one of God, even as you all are today.

²³ And he begged Him very much, saying, My daughter is at the last end. I pray that You will come and lay hands on her, that she may be cured and live.

¹⁰ And there was a certain disciple in Damascus named Ananias. And the Lord said to him in a vision, Ananias! And he said, Behold, Lord, I am here .

¹⁷ And Ananias went away and entered into the house. And putting hands on him he said, Brother Saul, the Lord has sent me, Jesus, the One who appeared to you in the highway on which you came, that you may see and be filled of the Holy Spirit. ¹⁸ And instantly it was as if scales fell away from his eyes. And rising up at the thing happening, he was baptized.

¹³ And he said, O Lord, please send by the hand of him whom You will send. ¹⁴ And the anger of Jehovah glowed against Moses. And He said, Do I not know your brother, Aaron the Levite, that he can speak well? And, behold, he also is coming out to meet you, and he will see you and be glad in his heart. ¹⁵ And you shall speak to him, and you shall put the words in his mouth. And I will be with your mouth, and with his mouth, and I will teach you what you shall do. ¹⁶ And he shall speak for you to the people. And it shall be, he shall be a mouth for you, and you shall be a god for him. ¹⁷ And you shall take this staff in your hand by which you do the signs. ¹⁸ And Moses went and returned to his father-in-law Jethro, and said to him, Please let me go and return to my brothers who are in Egypt, and see whether they are still alive. And Jethro said to Moses, Go in peace. ¹⁹ And Jehovah said to Moses in Midian, Go! Return to Egypt. For all the men are dead, those seeking your life.

² And Samuel said, How can I go? When Saul hears, then he will kill me. And Jehovah said, You shall take a heifer from the herd in your hand, and shall say, I have come to sacrifice to Jehovah.

⁹ And he said, What have I sinned, that you are giving your servant into the hand of Ahab to kill me? ¹⁰ As Jehovah your God lives, there is no nation or kingdom where my lord has not sent to seek you; and when they said, He is not here, then he caused the kingdom and the nation to swear that it did not find you. ¹¹ And now, you are saying, Go, say to your lord, Behold, Elijah. ¹² And it shall be, I will go away from you, and the Spirit of Jehovah will lift you up, where I do not know, and I will come to tell Ahab, and he will not find you, and he will kill me. And your servant has feared Jehovah from my youth. ¹³ Was it not told to my lord that which I did when Jezebel killed the prophets of Jehovah, but I hid a hundred men of the prophets, fifty by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water? ¹⁴ And now you are saying, Go, say to your lord, Behold, Elijah, and he will kill me!

⁹ And I said, I will not mention Him or speak any more in His name. But His Word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary of holding in, and I could not prevail. ¹⁰ For I heard the slanders of many, Terror is all around! Expose! Yea, let us expose him! Every man of my peace watched for my fall, saying, Perhaps he will be lured away, and we shall prevail against him; and we shall take revenge on him.

¹⁴ So the Spirit lifted me up and took me, and I went bitterly in the heat of my spirit, but the hand of Jehovah was strong upon me.

² Rise up, go to Nineveh, the great city, and cry out against it; for their evil has come up before Me. ³ But Jonah rose up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of Jehovah. And he went down to Joppa, and he found a ship going to Tarshish. And he gave its fare and went down into it in order to go with them to Tarshish, from before the face of Jehovah.

¹⁶ Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore, be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

¹ But still breathing threats and murder toward the disciples of the Lord, coming to the high priest,

³² And it happened, passing through all, Peter also came down to the saints dwelling in Lydda.

⁴ I persecuted this Way as far as death, binding and delivering up both men and women to prisons,

¹⁹ And I said, Lord, they understand that I was imprisoning and beating the ones believing on You throughout the synagogues. ²⁰ And when the blood of Your witness Stephen was poured out, I myself also was standing by and consenting to his execution, and holding the garments of those killing him.

⁷ to all those who are in Rome, beloved of God, called-out saints, Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

²⁵ But now I am going to Jerusalem, doing service to the saints. ²⁶ For Macedonia and Achaia thought it good to make certain gifts to the poor of the saints in Jerusalem.

³¹ that I be delivered from the disobedient ones in Judea, and that my ministry, which is to Jerusalem, may be acceptable to the saints,

² that you may receive her in the Lord, as is worthy of the saints, and may assist her in whatever thing she may need of you. For she also became a helper of many, and of myself.

¹⁵ Greet Philologus and Julias, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints with them.

¹³ the one who before was a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and insolent; but I received mercy, because being ignorant I did it in unbelief. ¹⁴ But the grace of our Lord abounded exceedingly with faith and love in Christ Jesus. ¹⁵ Faithful is the Word and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

⁵⁹ And they stoned Stephen, invoking and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

² Saul asked from him letters to Damascus, to the synagogues, so that if he found any being of the Way, both men and women, having bound them he might bring them to Jerusalem. ³ But in the going it happened! He drew near to Damascus, and suddenly a light from the heaven shone around him.

²¹ And all those hearing were amazed and said, Is this not the one destroying those who have called on this Name in Jerusalem, and he had come here for this, that binding them he might lead them before the chief priests?

¹⁶ And now what do you intend? Rising up, be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

¹² For there is no difference both of Jew and of Greek, for the same Lord of all is rich toward all the ones calling on Him. ¹³ For everyone, "whoever may call on the name of the Lord will be saved." Joel 3:5 ¹⁴ How then may they call on One in whom they have not believed? And how may they believe One of whom they have not heard? And how may they hear without preaching?

² to the church of God which is in Corinth, those having been sanctified in Christ Jesus, called-out saints, with all those calling on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, both theirs and ours:

²² But flee youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, with the ones calling on the Lord out of a pure heart.

¹² And now go, and I will be with your mouth, and will teach you what you shall speak. ¹³ And he said, O Lord, please send by the hand of him whom You will send. ¹⁴ And the anger of Jehovah glowed against Moses. And He said, Do I not know your brother, Aaron the Levite, that he can speak well? And, behold, he also is coming out to meet you, and he will see you and be glad in his heart.

⁵ I knew you before I formed you in the belly; and before you came out of the womb, I consecrated you. I appointed you a prophet to the nations.

⁷ But Jehovah said to me, Do not say, I am a boy; for you shall go to all that I shall send you. And whatever I command you, you shall speak.

¹ And the word of Jehovah was to Jonah the second time, saying, ² Rise up, go to Nineveh, the great city, and cry out to it the proclamation that I am declaring to you.

¹⁸ And also you will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them and to the nations.

¹⁶ You have not chosen Me, but I chose you out and planted you, that you should go and should bear fruit, and your fruit remain, that whatever you should ask the Father in My name, He may give you.

² And while they were doing service to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, So then separate both Barnabas and Saul to Me, for the work to which I have called them.

¹⁹ And having greeted them, he related one by one what things God had worked among the nations through his ministry.

²¹ And He said to me, Go, for I will send you to the nations afar off.

²² And Agrippa said to Festus, I also was myself minded to hear the man. And he said, Tomorrow you shall hear him.

¹⁷ having delivered you from the people and the nations, to whom I now send you, ¹⁸ to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the authority of Satan to God, in order that they may receive remission of sins, and an inheritance among those being sanctified by faith in Me. ¹⁹ Upon this, king Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, ²⁰ but to those first in Damascus, and Jerusalem, and to all the country of Judea, and to the nations, I announced the command to repent and to turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance.

³² And Agrippa said to Festus, This man was able to have been let go, if he had not appealed to Caesar.

²⁴ saying, Do not fear, Paul, You must stand before Caesar. And, behold, God has granted to you all those sailing with you.

¹⁷ And after three days, it happened that Paul called together those being chief of the Jews. And they coming together, he said to them, Men, brothers, I did nothing contrary to the people, or to the ancestral customs. I was delivered a prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans,

⁵ by whom we received grace and apostleship to obedience of faith among all the nations, for His name's sake,

¹³ But I do not wish you to be ignorant, brothers, that often I purposed to come to you, and was kept back until the present, that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among the other nations. ¹⁴ I am a debtor both to Greeks and to foreigners, both to wise, and to foolish, ¹⁵ so as far as in me lies, I am eager to preach the gospel to you in Rome also.

¹³ For I speak to you, the nations, since I am an apostle of the nations, (I glorify my ministry),

¹⁵ But I wrote to you more boldly, brothers, as reminding you in part, because of the grace given to me by God, ¹⁶ for me to be a minister of Jesus Christ to the nations, sacredly ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the nations might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. ¹⁷ Therefore I have boasting in Christ Jesus as to the things pertaining to God. ¹⁸ For I will not dare to speak of anything which Christ did not work out through me for the obedience of the nations in word and work, ¹⁹ in power of miracles and wonders, in power of the Spirit of God, so as for me to have fulfilled the preaching of the gospel of Christ from Jerusalem and in a circle as far as Illyricum. ²⁰ And so eagerly striving to preach the gospel where Christ was not named, so that I should not build on another's foundation, ²¹ but even as it has been written, "They shall see, to whom nothing was announced concerning Him; and the ones that have not heard shall understand." Isa. 52:15

¹⁰ But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace which was toward me has not been without fruit, but I labored more abundantly than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me.

¹ Paul, an apostle, not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, the One raising Him from the dead,

⁷ but on the contrary, seeing that I have been entrusted with the gospel of the uncircumcision, even as Peter to the circumcision, ⁸ (for He working in Peter to an apostleship of the circumcision, also worked in me to the nations), ⁹ and knowing the grace given to me, James and Cephas and John, those seeming to be pillars, gave right hands of fellowship to Barnabas and to me, that we go to the nations, but they to the circumcision;

⁷ of which I was made a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me, according to the working of His power. ⁸ This grace was given to me, less than the least of all the saints, to proclaim the gospel of the unsearchable riches of Christ among the nations,

²⁵ of which I became a minister, according to the administration of God given to me for you, to fulfill the Word of God, ²⁶ the mystery having been hidden from the ages and from the generations, but now was revealed to His saints; ²⁷ to whom God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the nations, who is Christ in you, the hope of glory; ²⁸ whom we announce, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man full-grown in Christ Jesus, ²⁹ for which also I labor, struggling according to the working of Him who works in me in power.

⁷ to which I was appointed a herald and apostle (I speak the truth in Christ, I do not lie), a teacher of the nations, in faith and truth.

¹¹ for which I was appointed a herald and apostle and a teacher of nations.

⁴ No one serving as a soldier entangles himself with the affairs of this life, so that he might please the one enlisting him .

²⁰ But in a great house not only are there vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and of earth, and some to honor and some to dishonor. ²¹ Then if anyone purifies himself from these, he will be a vessel to honor, having been sanctified and made useful to the Master, having been prepared to every good work.

¹⁶ In my first defense no one was beside me, but all deserted me. May it not be reckoned to them. ¹⁷ But the Lord stood with me and gave me power, that through me the preaching might be fulfilled, and all the nations might hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

¹⁴ These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and the ones with Him are the called and elect and faithful ones.

¹ Woe to the destroyer, and you not being destroyed; and to the betrayer, and they did not betray you! When you finish destroying, you will be destroyed; when you stop betraying, they will betray you.

¹¹ Blessed are you when they shall reproach you, and persecute you, and shall say every evil word against you, lying, on account of Me.

²¹ But brother will betray brother to death, and the father his child. And children will rise up against parents and will put them to death. ²² And you will be hated by all on account of My name, but the one enduring to the end shall be kept safe. ²³ But when they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For truly I say to you, In no way will you have finished the cities of Israel until the Son of man comes. ²⁴ A disciple is not above the teacher, nor a slave above his lord. ²⁵ It is enough for the disciple to become as his teacher, and the slave as his lord. If they called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more those of his household?

⁹ Then they will deliver you up to affliction, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake.

²⁰ Remember the Word which I said to you, A slave is not greater than his lord. If they persecuted Me, they also will persecute you. If they kept My Word, they also will keep yours.

¹ I have spoken these things to you so that you may not be offended. ² They will put you out of the synagogue, but an hour is coming that everyone killing you will think to bear a service before God. ³ And they will do these things to you because they do not know the Father nor Me. ⁴ But I have spoken these things to you so that when the hour comes you may recall them, that I told you these things. But I did not say these things to you from the beginning because I was with you.

²² And now, behold, being bound by the Spirit, I go to Jerusalem, not knowing the things going to meet me in it, ²³ but that the Holy Spirit testifies city by city saying that bonds and afflictions await me.

⁴ And finding disciples, we remained there seven days; who told Paul through the Spirit not to go up to Jerusalem.

¹¹ And coming to us, and taking Paul's girdle, and binding his hands and feet, he said, The Holy Spirit says these things : In Jerusalem the Jews will bind in this way the man whose belt this is, and will deliver him up into the hands of the nations.

⁹ For I think that God set us out last, the apostles, as appointed to death, because we became a spectacle to the world, even to angels and to men. ¹⁰ We are fools for the sake of Christ, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You are honored, but we not honored. ¹¹ Until the present hour we also hunger and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and wander homeless, ¹² and labor, working with our own hands. Being cursed, we bless; persecuted, we bear; ¹³ defamed, we entreat. we have become as filth of the world, dirt wiped off by all until now.

⁴ but in everything commending ourselves as God's servants, in much patience, in afflictions, in emergencies, in difficulties,

²³ Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as beside myself.) I being beyond them : in labors, more abundantly; in stripes, beyond measure; in prisons, much more; in deaths, many times. ²⁴ Five times I received forty stripes minus one from the Jews. ²⁵ I was flogged three times; I was stoned once; I was shipwrecked three times; I have spent a night and a day in the deep. ²⁶ I have been in travels often, in dangers of rivers, in dangers of robbers, in dangers from my race, in dangers from the nations, in dangers in the city, in dangers in the desert, in dangers on the sea, in dangers among false brothers, ²⁷ in hardship and toil, often in watchings, in hunger and thirst, often in fastings, in cold and nakedness,

³ that no one be drawn aside by these afflictions. For you yourselves know that we are appointed to this.

¹² For which cause I also suffer these things. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that He is able to guard my deposit until that Day.

⁹ in which I suffer ill as an evildoer, unto bonds; but the Word of God has not been bound. ¹⁰ Because of this, I endure all things on account of the elect, that they also may obtain salvation in Christ Jesus, with everlasting glory.

¹¹ the persecutions, the sufferings, such as happened to me in Antioch, in Iconium, in Lystra, what persecutions I bore. And the Lord delivered me out of all.

¹⁴ If you are reviled in the name of Christ, you are blessed, because "the Spirit of God and of glory rests on you." Truly, according to them, He is blasphemed; but according to you, He is glorified. Isa. 11:2

⁹ I, even your brother John, and co-sharer in the affliction, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, came to be in the island being called Patmos because of the Word of God, and because of the witness of Jesus Christ.

⁴ And Joseph said to his brothers, Now come near to me And they came near. And he said, I am your brother Joseph, whom you sold into Egypt.

¹³ Then little children were brought to Him, that He might lay hands on them and might pray. But the disciples rebuked them.

⁵ And He could do no work of power there, except He performed healing on a few infirm ones, laying on His hands.

¹⁶ And he will turn many of the sons of Israel to the Lord their God. ¹⁷ And he will go out before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah "to turn the hearts of fathers to their children," and disobedient ones to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people having been prepared for the Lord. Mal. 4:5, 6

⁷⁶ And you, child, will be called Prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways, Mal. 3:1

¹¹ because today a Savior, who is Christ the Lord, was born to you in the city of David.

³⁰ But when this son of yours came, the one devouring your living with harlots, you killed the fattened calf for him.

³² But to be merry and to rejoice was right, for this brother of yours was dead, and lived again; and being lost, also he was found.

⁴ And they were all filled of the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave ability to them to speak.

³¹ And they having prayed, the place in which they were gathered was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the Word of God with boldness.

⁶ each of whom they made stand before the apostles. And having prayed, they placed their hands on them.

¹⁷ Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

⁴ And falling on the earth he heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul! Why do you persecute Me? ⁵ And he said, Sir, who are you? And the Lord said, I am Jesus, whom you persecute; it is hard for you to kick against the prods.

⁸ And Saul was lifted up from the earth, but his eyes being opened he saw no one. And leading him by the hand they brought him to Damascus. ⁹ And he was three days not seeing, and did not eat or drink. ¹⁰ And there was a certain disciple in Damascus named Ananias. And the Lord said to him in a vision, Ananias! And he said, Behold, Lord, I am here . ¹¹ And the Lord said to him, Rising up pass along on the street being called Straight and seek a Tarsian, Saul by name, in the house of Judas. For, behold, he is praying. ¹² And he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in and putting a hand on him, so that he may see again. ¹³ And Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how many bad things he did to Your saints in Jerusalem. ¹⁴ And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all the ones calling on Your name. ¹⁵ And the Lord said to him, Go, for this one is a chosen vessel to Me, to bear My name before nations and kings and the sons of Israel.

³⁶ The Word which He sent to the sons of Israel, preaching the gospel of peace through Jesus Christ, this One is Lord of all.

³ Then, having fasted and prayed, and placing hands on them, they let them go.

⁵² And the disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.

⁶ And Paul laying hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in languages and prophesied.

²⁰ And hearing, they glorified the Lord, and said to him, You see, brother, how many myriads there are of Jews that have believed, and all are zealous ones of the Law.

¹² And a certain Ananias, a devout man according to the Law, testified to by all the Jews living there, ¹³ coming to me and standing by, he said to me, Brother Saul, look up. And in the same hour I looked up on him. ¹⁴ And he said, The God of our fathers appointed you to know His will, and to see the Just One, and to hear a voice out of His mouth;

¹⁵ And I said, Who are you, Sir? And He said, I am Jesus whom you persecute;

⁷ Because of this, receive one another as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.

⁴⁷ The first man was out of earth, earthy. The second Man was the Lord out of Heaven. Gen. 2:7

¹⁴ Do not be neglectful of the gift in you, which was given to you through prophecy, with laying on of the hands of the elderhood.

²² Lay hands quickly on no one, nor share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.

⁶ For which cause I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

¹⁶ no longer as a slave, but beyond a slave, a beloved brother, especially to me, and how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.

² of the baptisms, of doctrine, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of dead ones, and of eternal judgment.

²² Having purified your souls in the obedience of the truth through the Spirit to unpretended brotherly love, love one another fervently out of a pure heart, ²³ having been born again, not by corruptible seed, but incorruptible, through the living word of God, and remaining forever.

³⁸ And Peter said to them, Repent and be baptized, each of you on the name of Jesus Christ to remission of sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

⁴¹ Then those who gladly welcomed his words were baptized. And about three thousand souls were added that day.

¹² Then seeing the thing happening, the proconsul believed, being astounded at the doctrine of the Lord. ¹³ And putting out from Paphos with those around him, Paul came to Perga of Pamphylia. And separating from them, John returned to Jerusalem.

³⁷ But He whom God raised up, this One did not see corruption. ³⁸ Then let it be known to you, men, brothers, that through this One remission of sin is announced to you.

¹⁴ But their thoughts were hardened, for until the present the same veil remains on the reading of the Old Covenant, not being unveiled, that it is being done away in Christ.

⁶ Because it is God who said, "Out of darkness Light shall shine," who shone in our hearts to give the brightness of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Isa. 42:6, 7, 16

¹⁰ And they came there to the hill. And behold! A band of prophets were there to meet him. And the Spirit of God pushed on him, and he prophesied in their midst. ¹¹ And it happened, all who knew him from yesterday and the third day, and saw him even behold, he prophesied with prophets. And the people said, each one to his neighbor, What is this happening to the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets? ¹² And a man from there answered and said, And who is their father? On account of this it is for a proverb: Is Saul also among the prophets?

¹² And they gave to him a piece of fig-cake, and two bunches of raisins. And he ate, and his spirit returned to him, for he had not eaten food nor drunk water three days and three nights.

⁷ Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart, for God now is pleased with your works.

²⁶ And finding him, he brought him to Antioch. And it happened that many of them were gathered to them in the church a whole year. And they taught a considerable crowd. And the disciples were first called Christians at Antioch.

²⁰ but to those first in Damascus, and Jerusalem, and to all the country of Judea, and to the nations, I announced the command to repent and to turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance.

³³ And until day was about to come, Paul begged all to partake of food, saying, Today is the fourteenth day you continued waiting without food, not having taken anything. ³⁴ Because of this I beg you to take of food, for this is to your deliverance, for not a hair of your head shall perish. ³⁵ And saying these things, and taking bread, he gave thanks to God before all; and breaking, he began to eat. ³⁶ And all having become cheered, they also took food.

¹⁷ nor did I go up to Jerusalem to the apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia and returned again to Damascus.

⁷ I will declare concerning the statute of Jehovah: He said to Me, You are My Son. Today I have begotten You.

³ And coming near to Him, the Tempter said, If You are the Son of God, speak that these stones may become loaves.

⁶³ But Jesus kept silent. And answering, the high priest said to Him, I adjure you by the living God that you tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God. ⁶⁴ Jesus said to him, You said it . I tell you more. From this time you shall see the Son of man sitting off the right hand of power, and coming on the clouds of the heavens. Psa. 110:1; LXX-Dan. 7:13 ⁶⁵ Then the high priest tore his garments, saying, He blasphemed! Why do we have any more need of witnesses? Behold, now you have heard his blasphemy. ⁶⁶ What does it seem to you? And answering, they said, He is liable to death.

⁴³ He trusted on God. Let Him rescue him now, if He desires him. For he said, I am Son of God.

⁵⁴ But the centurion and those with him guarding Jesus, seeing the earthquake and the things taking place, they feared exceedingly, saying, Truly this One was Son of God.

⁴⁹ Nathanael answered and said to Him, Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel.

⁷ Then the Jews answered him, We have a law, and according to our Law he ought to die because he made himself Son of God!

²⁸ And Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God!

³¹ But these have been written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

³⁶ And as they were going along the highway they came on some water. And the eunuch said, Behold, water! What prevents me from being baptized?

²² But Saul was more filled with power, and he confounded the Jews living in Damascus, proving that this One is the Christ.

²⁷ But taking hold of him, Barnabas led him to the apostles and told them how he saw the Lord in the highway, and that He spoke to him, and how in Damascus he spoke boldly in the name of Jesus. ²⁸ And he was with them, going in and going out in Jerusalem, and speaking boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus.

⁵ And having been in Salamis, they announced the Word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. And they also had John as a helper.

¹⁴ But going through from Perga, they came to Antioch-Pisidia, and going into the synagogue on the day of the sabbaths, they sat down.

⁴ who was marked out Son of God in power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by resurrection of the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord;

²³ But only they were hearing that he who was persecuting us then, now proclaims the faith which he then ravaged; ²⁴ and they glorified God in me.

²⁰ I have been crucified with Christ, and I live; yet no longer I, but Christ lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith toward the Son of God, the One loving me and giving Himself over on my behalf.

¹⁴ And we have beheld and bear witness that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. ¹⁵ Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

¹⁸ And to the angel of the church in Thyatira, write: These things says the Son of God, the One having His eyes as a flame of fire, and His feet like burnished brass:

²³ For there is not a spell against Jacob, nor any divination against Israel. Now it is said of Jacob and Israel, See what God has done!

⁷ I am like a wonder to many, but You are my strong tower.

¹⁸ Behold, I and the children whom Jehovah has given to me are for signs and wonders in Israel from Jehovah of Hosts, who dwells in Mount Zion.

⁸ Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your associates who are sitting before you; for they are men of symbol.

⁵⁴ And coming into His own country, He taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, Where did this one get this wisdom, and the powerful works? ⁵⁵ Is this not the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary, and his brothers, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

¹⁵ And they came to Jesus, and stared at the one who had been demon possessed, sitting and being clothed, and being in his senses, the one who had the legion. And they feared. ¹⁶ And those seeing it related to them how it happened to the one who had been demon possessed, and about the pigs. ¹⁷ And they began to beg Him to depart from their borders. ¹⁸ And He having entered into the boat, the former demoniac begged Him, that he be with Him. ¹⁹ But Jesus did not allow him, but said to him, Go to your house, to your own, and announce to them what the Lord has done to you and had mercy on you. ²⁰ And he left and began to proclaim in Decapolis what Jesus did to him. And all marveled.

⁸ Then the neighbors and those who formerly saw him, that he was blind, said, Is this one not the one who had sat and begged? ⁹ Some said, It is he; and others, He is like him. That one said, I am the one .

⁶ But this sound occurring, the multitude came together and were confounded, because they each heard them speaking in his own dialect.

¹² And all were amazed and puzzled, saying to one another, What would this wish to be?

¹⁰ And they recognized him, that it was the one who was sitting for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple. And they were filled with amazement and ecstasy at the thing that happened to him.

¹³ But seeing the boldness of Peter and John, and having perceived that they are untaught and uneducated men, they marveled. And they recognized them, that they were with Jesus.

¹ But still breathing threats and murder toward the disciples of the Lord, coming to the high priest, ² Saul asked from him letters to Damascus, to the synagogues, so that if he found any being of the Way, both men and women, having bound them he might bring them to Jerusalem.

¹³ And Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how many bad things he did to Your saints in Jerusalem. ¹⁴ And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all the ones calling on Your name.

¹³ For you heard my way of life when I was in Judaism, that with surpassing zeal I persecuted the church of God and ravaged it. ¹⁴ And I progressed in Judaism beyond many contemporaries in my race, being much more a zealot of the traditions of my ancestors. ¹⁵ But when God was pleased, "He having separated me from my mother's womb" and having called through His grace, Isa. 49:1 ¹⁶ to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the nations, immediately I did not confer with flesh and blood, ¹⁷ nor did I go up to Jerusalem to the apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia and returned again to Damascus. ¹⁸ Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to become acquainted with Peter and remained with him fifteen days. ¹⁹ But I saw no other of the apostles except James the brother of the Lord. ²⁰ And what I write to you, behold, before God I do not lie. ²¹ Then I went into the regions of Syria and of Cilicia, ²² but I was not known by face to the churches of Judea in Christ.

¹⁰ when He comes to be glorified in His saints, and to be admired in all those who believe in that Day, because our testimony to you was believed.

¹ See what manner of love the Father has given us, that we may be called children of God. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

²⁴ His bow abides in strength, and the hands of his arms are made agile by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, from the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel.

⁹ And the righteous shall hold firmly on his way; and he of clean hands adds strength.

⁷ They go from strength to strength, being seen in Zion before God.

²⁹ He gives power to the faint, and to him with no vigor He increases might.

¹⁵ For I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all those opposing you will not be able to withstand or contradict.

⁴⁴ And He said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you yet being with you, that must be fulfilled all the things having been written in the Law of Moses, and the Prophets, and the Psalms, concerning Me. ⁴⁵ Then He opened up their mind to understand the Scriptures,

⁹ But some of those of the synagogue called Libertines, rose up, also some Cyrenians and Alexandrians, and some of those from Cilicia and Asia Minor, disputing with Stephen. ¹⁰ And they had no strength to stand against the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke.

³ opening and setting forth that the Christ must have suffered, and to have risen from the dead, and that this is the Christ, Jesus, whom I announce to you.

⁵ And when both Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was pressed by the Spirit, earnestly testifying to the Jews that Jesus is the Christ.

²⁷ And he having intended to go through into Achaia, having been encouraged, the brothers wrote to the disciples to welcome him; who, having arrived, much helped those who were believing through grace. ²⁸ For he powerfully confuted the Jews publicly, proving through the Scriptures Jesus to be the Christ.

²³ And having appointed him a day, more came to him in the lodging, to whom he expounded, earnestly testifying the kingdom of God and persuading them the things concerning Jesus, both from the law of Moses and the Prophets, from morning until evening.

²⁷ But God chose the foolish things of the world that the wise might be put to shame, and God chose the weak things of the world so that He might put to shame the strong things.

⁹ And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness. Therefore, I will rather gladly boast in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may overshadow me. ¹⁰ Because of this, I am pleased in weaknesses, in insults, in dire needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for the sake of Christ. For when I may be weak, then I am powerful.

¹³ I can do all things through Christ, the One giving me power.

¹ And it happened, when Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem heard that Joshua had captured Ai, and had destroyed it (as he had done to Jericho and to its king, so he had done to Ai and to her king) and that the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel, and were in their midst, ² they were greatly afraid because Gibeon was a great city, like one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than Ai, and all its men were mighty. ³ And Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem sent to Hoham king of Hebron, and to Piram king of Jarmuth, and to Japhia king of Lachish, and to Debir king of Eglon, saying, ⁴ Come up to me and help me. And we shall strike Gibeon, for it has made peace with Joshua, and with the sons of Israel. ⁵ And the five kings of the Amorites assembled, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon, they and all their camps. And they camped against Gibeon, and fought against it. ⁶ And the men of Gibeon sent to Joshua, and to the camp at Gilgal, saying, Do not withdraw your hand from your servants. Come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us, for all the kings of the Amorites living in the hills have gathered against us.

¹⁶ Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore, be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. ¹⁷ But beware of men. For they will betray you to sanhedrins, and they will flog you in their synagogues. ¹⁸ And also you will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them and to the nations. ¹⁹ But when they deliver you up, do not be anxious how or what you should say, for it is given to you in that hour what you should say. ²⁰ For you are not the ones speaking, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. ²¹ But brother will betray brother to death, and the father his child. And children will rise up against parents and will put them to death. ²² And you will be hated by all on account of My name, but the one enduring to the end shall be kept safe. ²³ But when they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For truly I say to you, In no way will you have finished the cities of Israel until the Son of man comes.

¹⁶ For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of My name.

⁵⁰ But the Jews excited the devout and honorable women, and the chief ones of the city, and raised up a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and threw them out from their borders.

² But the unbelieving Jews raised up and made malignant the souls of the nations against the brothers.

¹⁹ But Jews came there from Antioch and Iconium, and persuading the crowds, and stoning Paul, they dragged him outside the city, supposing him to have died.

²¹ And He said to me, Go, for I will send you to the nations afar off. ²² And they heard him until this word, and lifted up their voice, saying, Take such a one from the earth, for it is not fitting that he should live! ²³ And they shouting, and tearing the garments, and throwing dust into the air,

²⁶ I have been in travels often, in dangers of rivers, in dangers of robbers, in dangers from my race, in dangers from the nations, in dangers in the city, in dangers in the desert, in dangers on the sea, in dangers among false brothers,

¹⁷ nor did I go up to Jerusalem to the apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia and returned again to Damascus. ¹⁸ Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to become acquainted with Peter and remained with him fifteen days.

¹⁵ who both killed the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, also driving us out, and not pleasing God, and being contrary to all men, ¹⁶ hindering us from speaking to the nations in order that they be saved, to fill up their sins always. But the wrath has come on them to the uttermost.

² The Gazites were told, saying, Samson has come here. And they encircled and set a trap for him all the night at the gate of the city, and kept quiet all night, saying, Until the light of the morning, then we will kill him. ³ And Samson lay down until the middle of the night, and rose up in the middle of the night. And he took hold on the leaves of the gate of the city, and on the two side posts, and plucked them up with the bar, and put them on his shoulders and took them up to the top of the mountain that is before Hebron.

¹¹ For they stretched forth evil against You; they imagined a plot; they cannot prevail,

³² The wicked spies on the righteous and seeks to kill him. ³³ Jehovah does not leave him in his hand, nor allow him to be found guilty in his judgment.

²⁹ And he spoke and disputed with the Hellenists, and they took him in hand to do away with him . ³⁰ But knowing, the brothers led him down to Caesarea and sent him forth to Tarsus.

⁵ And when a rush of the nations occurred, and both the Jews and their rulers came to insult and to stone them, ⁶ perceiving this, they fled to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra and Derbe, and the surrounding country.

¹⁰ But the brothers at once sent both Paul and Silas to Berea during the night; who having arrived went into the synagogue of the Jews. ¹¹ And these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, for they received the Word with all readiness, daily examining the Scriptures if these things are so . ¹² Then indeed many from among them believed, and not a few of the honorable Greek women and men. ¹³ But when the Jews from Thessalonica knew that the Word of God was also announced in Berea by Paul, they came there also, shaking up the crowd. ¹⁴ And immediately, then, the brothers sent away Paul, to go as toward the sea. But both Silas and Timothy remained there. ¹⁵ But those conducting Paul brought him as far as Athens. And receiving a command to Silas and Timothy that they come to him quickly, they departed.

³ And spending three months there, a plot by the Jews being against him, being about to sail into Syria, he was of a mind to return through Macedonia.

¹⁹ serving the Lord with all humility, and many tears and trials happening to me by the plots of the Jews;

¹² And it becoming day, some of the Jews making a conspiracy cursed themselves, saying neither to eat nor to drink until they should kill Paul. ¹³ And those making this plot were more than forty; ¹⁴ who coming near to the chief priests and to the elders these said, With a curse we have cursed ourselves to taste of nothing until we shall kill Paul. ¹⁵ Now, then, you with the sanhedrin inform the chiliarch, so that tomorrow he may bring him down to you, as intending more accurately to find out about him. And before his drawing near, we are ready to kill him. ¹⁶ But the son of Paul's sister hearing of the ambush, having come near, and entering into the fortress, reported to Paul. ¹⁷ And calling near one of the centurions, Paul said, Bring this young man to the chiliarch, for he has something to report to him. ¹⁸ Then indeed taking him, he brought him to the chiliarch and said, Paul the prisoner having called me near asked me to bring this young man to you, having a thing to tell you. ¹⁹ And laying hold of his hand, and drawing aside privately, the chiliarch asked, What is it that you have to report to me? ²⁰ And he said, The Jews agreed to ask you that tomorrow you bring down Paul into the sanhedrin, as being about to inquire more accurately concerning him. ²¹ Therefore, you must not be persuaded by them, for more than forty men of them lie in wait for him who put themselves under a curse neither to eat nor to drink until they kill him. And now they are ready, awaiting the promise from you.

³⁰ And it being revealed to me that a plot against the man was about to be executed by the Jews, I at once sent him to you, also commanding the accusers to say the things against him before you. Farewell.

³ asking a favor against him, so as he might send for him to Jerusalem, making a plot to kill him on the way.

¹¹ For if I indeed do wrong and have done anything worthy of death, I do not refuse to die. But if there is nothing of which they accuse me, no one can give me up to them. I appeal to Caesar.

³² In Damascus, the governor of Aretas the king guarded the city of the Damascenes, desiring to seize me.

¹⁵ Then she let them down by a rope through the window, for her house was in the side of the wall, and she lived in the wall.

¹¹ And Saul sent messengers to David's house to watch him, and to kill him in the morning. And his wife Michal told David, saying, If you do not escape with your life tonight, tomorrow you will be killed. ¹² And Michal made David go down through the window. And he went, and fled, and escaped.

³³ And I was let down through a window through the wall in a basket and escaped their hands.

¹⁷ But beware of men. For they will betray you to sanhedrins, and they will flog you in their synagogues. ¹⁸ And also you will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them and to the nations. ¹⁹ But when they deliver you up, do not be anxious how or what you should say, for it is given to you in that hour what you should say.

¹⁰ And then many will be offended, and they will deliver up one another and will hate one another.

²³ And being let go, they came to their own and reported to them what the chief priests and elders said.

¹⁹ And taking food he was strengthened. And Saul was with the disciples in Damascus some days.

¹⁷ And it happened to me, returning to Jerusalem and praying in the temple: I became in an ecstasy, ¹⁸ and I saw Him saying to me, Hurry and go out quickly from Jerusalem, because they will not receive your testimony concerning Me.

¹⁷ nor did I go up to Jerusalem to the apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia and returned again to Damascus. ¹⁸ Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to become acquainted with Peter and remained with him fifteen days. ¹⁹ But I saw no other of the apostles except James the brother of the Lord.

⁴ But it was because of those false brothers stealing in, who stole in to spy on our freedom which we have in Christ Jesus, they desiring to enslave us,

²⁹ And now, Lord, look upon their threatenings and give to Your slaves to speak Your Word with all boldness,

³⁶ And Joses, the one surnamed Barnabas by the apostles, which being translated is, Son of Consolation, a Levite, a Cypriot by race,

³ But in the going it happened! He drew near to Damascus, and suddenly a light from the heaven shone around him. ⁴ And falling on the earth he heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul! Why do you persecute Me? ⁵ And he said, Sir, who are you? And the Lord said, I am Jesus, whom you persecute; it is hard for you to kick against the prods. ⁶ Both trembling and being astonished he said, Lord, what do you desire me to do? And the Lord said to him, Rise up and go into the city, and it will be told you what you must do.

²⁰ And at once in the synagogues he proclaimed the Christ, that this One is the Son of God. ²¹ And all those hearing were amazed and said, Is this not the one destroying those who have called on this Name in Jerusalem, and he had come here for this, that binding them he might lead them before the chief priests? ²² But Saul was more filled with power, and he confounded the Jews living in Damascus, proving that this One is the Christ.

²² And the Word was heard in the ears of the church in Jerusalem concerning them. And they sent out Barnabas to go through as far as Antioch;

²⁵ And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, having fulfilled the service, and having taken with them the one surnamed Mark.

² Then dissension and not a little disputation with them having taken place by Paul and Barnabas, they appointed Paul and Barnabas and some others of them to go up into Jerusalem to the apostles and elders concerning this question.

²⁵ it seemed good to us, having become of one mind, to send chosen men to you along with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, ²⁶ men who have given up their souls on behalf of the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

³⁵ And Paul and Barnabas stayed in Antioch, teaching and announcing the gospel, the Word of the Lord, with many others also. ³⁶ And after some days Paul said to Barnabas, Indeed, having turned back, let us look after our brothers throughout every city in which we announced the Word of the Lord, how they are holding it. ³⁷ But Barnabas purposed to take John with them, the one having been called Mark. ³⁸ But Paul thought it well not to take that one with them, he having withdrawn from them from Pamphylia, and not going with them to the work. ³⁹ Then there was sharp feeling, so as to separate them from each other. And taking Mark, Barnabas sailed away to Cyprus.

⁶ Or is it only Barnabas and I who have no authority to quit work?

⁹ and knowing the grace given to me, James and Cephas and John, those seeming to be pillars, gave right hands of fellowship to Barnabas and to me, that we go to the nations, but they to the circumcision;

¹³ And also the rest of the Jews dissembled with him, so as even Barnabas was led away with their dissembling.

¹⁹ Pray also for me, that to me may be given speech in the opening of my mouth with boldness to make known the mystery of the gospel, ²⁰ for which I am an ambassador in a chain, that in it I may speak boldly as it is right for me to speak.

¹⁶ Let Jehovah, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation ¹⁷ who may go out before them, and who may go in before them, and who may lead them out, and who may bring them in, so that the congregation of Jehovah may not be as sheep to whom there is no shepherd.

² Both yesterday and the day before, when Saul was king over us, you were he who led out and brought in Israel. And Jehovah said to you, You shall shepherd My people Israel, and you shall be for a leader over Israel.

⁷ And now, O Jehovah my God, You have caused Your servant to reign instead of my father David. And I am a little man-child; I do not know to go out and to come in.

⁸ Jehovah shall keep your going out, and your coming in, from now on and till forever.

⁹ I am the door. If anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in, and will go out, and will find pasture.

²¹ Therefore, it is right that one of these men being together with us all the time in which the Lord Jesus came in and went out among us,

¹⁸ Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to become acquainted with Peter and remained with him fifteen days.

¹ But in those days, the disciples having multiplied, a murmuring of the Hellenists toward the Hebrews occurred, because their widows were being overlooked in the daily serving.

²⁰ And at once in the synagogues he proclaimed the Christ, that this One is the Son of God. ²¹ And all those hearing were amazed and said, Is this not the one destroying those who have called on this Name in Jerusalem, and he had come here for this, that binding them he might lead them before the chief priests? ²² But Saul was more filled with power, and he confounded the Jews living in Damascus, proving that this One is the Christ. ²³ And when many days were fulfilled, the Jews plotted together to do away with him.

²⁷ But taking hold of him, Barnabas led him to the apostles and told them how he saw the Lord in the highway, and that He spoke to him, and how in Damascus he spoke boldly in the name of Jesus.

²⁰ But some men from them, Cypriots and Cyrenians, who had come to Antioch, spoke to the Hellenists, announcing the gospel of the Lord Jesus.

¹⁷ Then, indeed, he addressed the Jews in the synagogue, and those worshiping, also in the market every day, to those happening to be there .

¹⁹ And he came to Ephesus, and he left those there. But he going into the synagogue, he reasoned with the Jews.

⁸ And going into the synagogue, he spoke boldly over three months, having reasoned with them, and persuading concerning the things of the kingdom of God.

³ Having made all haste to write to you about the common salvation, beloved, I had need to write to you to exhort you to contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints.

⁹ But Michael the archangel, when contending with the Devil, he argued about the body of Moses; he dared not bring a judgment of blasphemy, but said, "Let the Lord rebuke you!" Zech. 3:2

²³ But when they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For truly I say to you, In no way will you have finished the cities of Israel until the Son of man comes.

¹³ And coming into the parts of Caesarea of Philip, Jesus questioned His disciples, saying, Whom do men say Me the Son of Man to be?

⁴⁰ And Philip was found at Azotus. And passing through he preached the gospel to all the cities until he came to Caesarea.

¹¹ And the Lord said to him, Rising up pass along on the street being called Straight and seek a Tarsian, Saul by name, in the house of Judas. For, behold, he is praying.

²⁴ But their plot was known to Saul. And they carefully watched the gates both by day and by night so that to do away with him. ²⁵ But taking him by night the disciples let him down through the wall, lowering in a basket.

¹⁰ But the brothers at once sent both Paul and Silas to Berea during the night; who having arrived went into the synagogue of the Jews.

¹⁵ But those conducting Paul brought him as far as Athens. And receiving a command to Silas and Timothy that they come to him quickly, they departed.

²¹ Then I went into the regions of Syria and of Cilicia,

¹⁰ And you shall cross over the Jordan, and shall live in the land which Jehovah your God is causing you to inherit. And He shall give you rest from all your enemies all around; and you shall live securely.

⁴⁴ And Jehovah gave them rest round about, according to all that He swore to their fathers. And not a man of all their enemies stood before them. Jehovah delivered all their enemies into their hand.

³⁰ So Moab was subdued that day under the hand of Israel. And the land had rest eighty years.

⁹ Behold, a son shall be born to you; he shall be a man of rest, and I will give him rest from all his enemies all around, for Solomon shall be his name, and I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days;

¹⁸ Is not Jehovah your God with you? Yea, He has given you rest all around, for He has given into my hand the inhabitants of the land, and has subdued the land before Jehovah and before His people.

⁹ Also I said, The thing you do is not good. Should you not walk in the fear of God because of the reproach of the nations, our enemies?

¹⁵ The former governors that had been before me were too heavy on the people, and had taken bread and wine from them, besides forty shekels of silver. Yes, even their servants bore rule over the people. But I did not do this, because of the fear of God.

¹⁶ For the Jews it was light and gladness and joy and honor. ¹⁷ And in every province, and in every single city, the place wherever the word of the king and his law touched, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land became Jews, for the fear of the Jews fell on them.

²⁸ And to man He said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom! And to turn from evil is understanding.

¹¹ Teach me Your way, O Jehovah; I will walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name.

¹³ to give him rest from troubled days, until the pit is dug for the wicked.

¹⁰ The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; all who practice them have a good understanding; His praise is standing forever!

⁷ The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.

¹³ The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil; I hate pride and loftiness, and the evil way, and the perverse mouth.

²⁶ In the fear of Jehovah is strong trust, and His sons shall have a hiding place. ²⁷ The fear of Jehovah is a fountain of life, to turn away from snares of death.

⁶ Iniquity is covered by mercy and truth, and in the fear of Jehovah, men turn aside from evil. ⁷ When a man's ways please Jehovah, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

¹⁷ Do not let your heart envy sinners, but only be in the fear of Jehovah all the day.

² And the Spirit of Jehovah shall rest on Him; He will have the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and power, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah. ³ And He is made to breathe in the fear of Jehovah. But He shall not judge by the seeing of His eyes, nor decide by the hearing of His ears.

¹⁰ And it shall be in that day, the Root of Jesse stands as a banner of peoples; nations shall seek to Him; and His resting place shall be glory.

⁶ And He will be the security of your times, strength of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge; the fear of Jehovah is His treasure.

²⁰ So says Jehovah of hosts: There shall yet come peoples, and inhabitants of many cities.

¹⁶ And I will petition the Father, and He will give you another Comforter, that He may remain with you forever, ¹⁷ the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive because it does not see Him nor know Him. But you know Him, for He abides with you and shall be in you. ¹⁸ I will not leave you orphans; I am coming to you.

⁷ And the Word of God was increasing, and the number of the disciples in Jerusalem was multiplying exceedingly. Even a great crowd of the priests were attending to the faith!

¹ And Saul was consenting to the doing away of him. And in that day a great persecution took place on the church which was in Jerusalem; and all were scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.

²⁴ But the Word of God grew and increased.

⁵ Then indeed the churches were being made stronger in the faith, and increased in number day by day.

⁵ And the hope does not put us to shame, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit given to us;

¹⁷ For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

¹⁹ So then let us pursue the things of peace, and the things for building up one another.

¹³ And may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, for you to abound in hope, in power of the Holy Spirit.

⁹ For we are fellow workers of God, a field of God, and you are a building of God. ¹⁰ According to God's grace given to me, as a wise master builder, I laid a foundation, but another builds on it . But let each one be careful how he builds. ¹¹ For no one is able to lay any other foundation beside the One having been laid, who is Jesus Christ. ¹² And if anyone builds on this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, grass, straw, ¹³ the work of each will be revealed; for the Day will make it known, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire will prove the work of each, what sort it is. ¹⁴ If the work of anyone which he built remains, he will receive a reward. ¹⁵ If the work of anyone shall be consumed, he shall suffer loss; but he will be saved, but so as through fire.

⁴ The one speaking in a tongue builds himself up, but he prophesying builds up a church. ⁵ And I wish all of you to speak in languages, but rather that you may prophesy. For the one prophesying is greater than the one speaking in tongues, unless he interpret that the church may receive building up.

¹² So also you, since you are zealots of spiritual things, seek to build up the church that you may abound.

²⁶ Then what is it, brothers? When you come together, each one of you has a psalm, he has a teaching, he has a language, he has a revelation, he has an interpretation. Let all things be for building up.

¹ Then having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilements of flesh and of spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

⁸ For even if I also somewhat more fully should boast about our authority (which the Lord gave us for building up and not for pulling you down), I will not be put to shame;

¹⁹ Again, do you think we are defending to you? We speak before God in Christ, but in all things for your building up, beloved.

¹⁰ Because of this, I write these things while absent, that being present I may not deal sharply with you according to the authority which the Lord gave me for building up and not for pulling down.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, ²³ meekness, self-control. Against such things there is not a law.

¹³ in whom also you, hearing the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom also believing you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, ¹⁴ who is an earnest of our inheritance, to the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

¹² with a view to the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ,

¹⁶ from whom all the body, having been fitted and compacted together through every assisting bond, according to the effectual working of one measure in each part, produces the growth of the body to the building up of itself in love.

²⁹ Let not any filthy word go out of your mouth, but if any is good to building up in respect to the need, that it may give grace to the ones hearing.

²¹ having been subject to one another in the fear of God.

¹⁸ through all prayer and petition, praying at every time in the Spirit, and watching to this same thing with all perseverance and petition concerning all the saints. ¹⁹ Pray also for me, that to me may be given speech in the opening of my mouth with boldness to make known the mystery of the gospel,

¹ Then if there is any comfort in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tendernesses and compassions,

¹⁰ for you to walk worthily of the Lord to all pleasing, bearing fruit in every good work and growing into the full knowledge of God;

¹¹ Therefore, encourage one another, and build up one another, as you indeed do.

¹⁶ But may our Lord Himself, Jesus Christ, and our God and Father, He who loves and gives us everlasting encouragement and good hope by grace, ¹⁷ encourage your hearts, and may He establish you in every good word and work.

⁴ nor to give heed to fables and to endless genealogies, which occasion doubts, rather than a stewardship of God in faith,

⁹ So, then, there remains a sabbath rest to the people of God.

²⁰ But you, beloved, building yourselves up by your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

³ As for the saints in the earth, they are the excellent ones; all my delight is in them.

⁸ to guard the paths of judgment, and He protects the way of His saints.

⁵² And the tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised.

⁸ but you will receive power, the Holy Spirit coming upon you, and you will be witnesses of Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

¹⁴ And the apostles in Jerusalem hearing that Samaria had received the Word of God, they sent Peter and John to them,

²⁵ Then indeed having earnestly testified and having spoken the Word of the Lord, they returned to Jerusalem, even having announced the gospel to many villages of the Samaritans.

¹³ And Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how many bad things he did to Your saints in Jerusalem.

⁴¹ And giving her a hand he raised her up. And calling the saints and the widows he presented her living.

¹⁰ Which I also did in Jerusalem, I also shut up many of the saints in prisons, receiving authority from the chief priests; and they being put to death, I cast a vote.

¹ Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, to the saints being in Ephesus and faithful in Christ Jesus:

¹ Paul, and Timothy, slaves of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, with the overseers and ministers:

³ And they came to Him carrying a paralytic, being borne by four. ⁴ And not being able to draw near to Him, due to the crowd, they unroofed the roof where He was. And digging through, they lowered the cot on which the paralytic was lying. ⁵ And seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralytic, Child, your sins are forgiven to you. ⁶ But some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, ⁷ Why does this one speak blasphemies this way? Who is able to forgive sins, except One, God? ⁸ And instantly knowing in His spirit that they reasoned this way within themselves, Jesus said to them, Why do you reason these things in your hearts? ⁹ Which is easier? To say to the paralytic, Your sins are forgiven to you, or to say, Rise up and take your cot and walk? ¹⁰ But that you may know that the Son of man has authority to forgive sins on the earth, He said to the paralytic, ¹¹ I say to you, Rise up and take up your cot and go to your house.

²⁵ And a certain woman being with a flow of blood twelve years,

²¹ And He questioned his father, How long a time is it while this has happened to him? And he said, From childhood.

¹⁶ And this one being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound, lo, eighteen years, ought she not to be freed from this bond on the sabbath day?

⁵ But a certain man was there, being in infirmity thirty eight years.

¹ And passing by, He saw a man blind from birth.

²¹ But how he now sees, we do not know; or who opened his eyes, we do not know. He is of age, ask him. He will speak about himself.

² And a certain man, being lame from his mother's womb, was being carried, whom day by day they put at the door of the temple, being called Beautiful, to ask alms from those going into the temple;

²² For the man on whom this miracle of healing had occurred was more than forty years of age .

⁸ And a certain man was sitting in Lystra, powerless in the feet, being lame from his mother's womb, who had never walked.

³ And stretching out His hand, Jesus touched him, saying, I will! Be cleansed! And instantly his leprosy was cleansed.

⁶ But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins, then He said to the paralytic, Rising up, lift up your cot and go to your house.

²⁸ And coming into the house, the blind ones came near to Him. And Jesus said to them, Do you believe that I am able to do this? And they said to Him, Yes, Lord. ²⁹ Then He touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith let it be to you. ³⁰ And their eyes were opened. And Jesus strictly ordered them, saying, See, let no one know.

¹¹ This beginning of the miracles Jesus did in Cana of Galilee. And it revealed His glory, and His disciples believed in Him.

⁶ But Peter said, There is no silver and gold to me, but what I have, this I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazaraean, rise up and walk!

¹² And seeing this, Peter answered to the people, Men, Israelites, why do you marvel at this one? Or why do you stare at us, as if by our own power or godliness we have made him to walk?

¹⁶ And on the faith of His name, this one whom you see and know was made firm by His name, and the faith which came through Him gave to him this complete soundness before you all.

¹⁰ let it be known to all of you, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazaraean, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in this name this one stands before you whole.

¹⁸ And she did this over many days. But becoming distressed, and turning to the demonic spirit, Paul said, In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out from her! And it came out in that same hour.

³⁰ in your distress, when all these things have found you, in the latter days, then you shall return to Jehovah your God, and shall listen to His voice.

¹⁶ And they lived in Gilead in Bashan, and in her towns, and in all the open lands of Sharon, on their borders.

²⁹ And Shitrai of Sharon was over the herds that fed in Sharon. And Shaphat the son of Adlai was over the herds in the valleys.

²⁷ All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn back to Jehovah; and all the families of the nations shall worship before You.

³ Your people shall be willing in the day of Your power; in holy adornment from the womb of the dawn, to You is the dew of Your youth.

⁶ Turn back to Him against whom you have made a deep revolt, sons of Israel.

⁹ The land mourns and droops; Lebanon is ashamed; Sharon withers like a wilderness; Bashan is shaken out; also Carmel.

² Blooming, it shall bloom and exult, even with joy and singing. Lebanon's glory shall be given to it, the honor of Carmel and Sharon; they shall see the glory of Jehovah, the majesty of our God.

¹⁰ And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks; and the valley of Achor a resting place of herds for My people who have sought Me.

⁸ Who has heard a thing like this? Who has seen things like these? Shall the earth be brought forth in one day? Shall a nation be born in one step? For Zion travailed and also brought forth her sons.

⁴⁰ Let us search and examine our ways, and turn again to Jehovah.

⁶ For this reason, you return to your God; keep mercy and judgment, and wait on your God continually.

² Take words with you and return to Jehovah. Say to Him, Take away all iniquity and receive us well, that we may repay with the calves of our lips.

¹³ Yea, tear your heart, and not your robes; and turn to Jehovah your God. For He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and He pities concerning the evil.

⁴ But many of those hearing the Word believed; and the number of the men became about five thousand.

¹² And many miracles and wonders among the people took place through the hands of the apostles. And they were all with one passion in Solomon's Porch. ¹³ And of the rest, no one dared to be joined to them, but the people greatly magnified them. ¹⁴ And more believing ones were added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and of women,

⁴² And it became known through all Joppa. And many believed on the Lord.

²¹ And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believing, they turned to the Lord.

¹⁹ For this reason I judge not to trouble those from the nations turning to God,

¹⁰ And this happened over two years, so as all those living in Asia heard the Word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

²⁰ So with might, the Word of the Lord increased and was strong.

¹⁶ But whenever it turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Ex. 34:34

⁹ For they themselves announce concerning us what kind of entrance we have to you, and how you had turned to God from the idols, to serve the true and living God, ¹⁰ and to await His Son from Heaven, whom He raised from the dead, Jesus, the One delivering us from the wrath to come.

⁴⁶ and Mejarkon, and Rakkon, with the border before Japho.

¹⁶ And we will cut trees out of Lebanon, according to all your need, and bring them to you by floats by sea to Joppa; and you shall take them up to Jerusalem.

⁷ They also gave silver to the cutters and to the craftsmen; and food and drink and oil to the Sidonians and to the Tyrians, to bring cedar trees from Lebanon to the sea of Joppa, according to the grant which they had from Cyrus king of Persia.

¹⁹ she is a loving deer, a graceful doe; let her breasts satisfy you every time, and always be ravished in her love.

⁹ My Beloved is likened to a gazelle, or to a young deer, the stag. Behold, He stands behind our wall, looking from the windows, peering from the lattice.

⁵ I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem, by the gazelles or by the does of the field, that you do not stir up, even that you not stir up the Beloved until it pleases.

¹⁴ Hurry, my Beloved, and be like a gazelle, or a young deer, the stag, on the mountains of spices.

³ But Jonah rose up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of Jehovah. And he went down to Joppa, and he found a ship going to Tarshish. And he gave its fare and went down into it in order to go with them to Tarshish, from before the face of Jehovah.

⁵ I am the Vine; you are the branches. He that remains in Me, and I in him, this one bears much fruit. For apart from Me you are not able to do anything.

⁸ In this My Father is glorified, that you should bear much fruit; and you will be My disciples.

⁴ And he was staring at him, and becoming terrified he said, What is it, Sir? And he said to him, Your prayers and your alms went up for a memorial before God. ⁵ And now send men to Joppa and call for Simon who is surnamed Peter.

³¹ And he said, Cornelius, your prayer was heard and your alms were remembered before God.

¹⁰ for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God before prepared that we should walk in them.

¹¹ being filled with the fruits of righteousness through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

¹⁰ For you also do it toward the brothers in all Macedonia. But, brothers, we exhort you to abound more.

⁹ So also the women to adorn themselves in proper clothing, with modesty and sensibleness, not with plaiting, or gold, or pearls, or expensive garments, ¹⁰ but what becomes women professing fear of God, through good works.

¹⁰ being witnessed by good works, if she brought up children, if she hosted strangers, if she washed the feet of the saints, if she relieved afflicted ones, if she followed after every good work.

⁷ having shown yourself a pattern of good works about all things in doctrine, in purity, sensibleness, incorruption,

¹⁴ who gave Himself on our behalf, "that He might redeem us from all iniquity" "and purify" "a people" "for His own possession," zealous of good works. Psa. 130:8; Eze. 37:23; Deut. 14:2

⁸ Faithful is the Word, and concerning these things I desire you strongly to affirm that the ones believing God should take thought to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.

²¹ perfect you in every good work, in order to do His will, doing in you that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

²⁷ Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their afflictions, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

¹⁵ And he will show you a large upper room, having been spread and made ready. Prepare for us there.

³ Then the sisters sent to Him, saying, Lord, behold, the one whom You love is sick. ⁴ And hearing, Jesus said, This is not sickness to death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God be glorified by it.

³⁶ Then the Jews said, See how He loved him! ³⁷ But some of them said, Was this One, the one opening the eyes of the blind, not able to have caused that this one should not die?

¹³ And when they went in, they went up to the upper room where they were waiting: both Peter and James, and John and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alpheus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the brother of James.

³⁹ And rising up Peter went with them, and having arrived they led to the upper room. And all the widows stood by him, weeping and showing tunics and garments such as Dorcas made while being with them.

⁸ And many lamps were in the upper room where they were gathered.

²⁸ And she said, Did I ask a son from my lord? Did I not say, Do not deceive me? ²⁹ And he said to Gehazi, Gird up your loins and take my staff in your hand, and go. When you meet a man, you shall not greet him. And when a man shall greet you, you shall not answer him. And you shall lay my staff on the face of the boy. ³⁰ And the mother of the boy said, As Jehovah lives, and your soul lives, I will not leave you. And he rose up and went after her.

³⁶ And in Joppa was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which translated is called Dorcas Gazelle . She was full of good works and of alms which she did.

²⁴ Daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed you with scarlet delights, who put ornaments of gold on your clothing.

¹⁹ If I have seen any perish for lack of clothing, or there was no covering for the needy; ²⁰ if his loins have not blessed me, and he warmed himself with the fleece of my flock;

⁷ The memory of the just is blessed, but the name of the wicked shall rot.

³⁰ Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears Jehovah, she shall be praised. ³¹ Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.

¹⁰ All that your hand finds to do, do it with your strength. For there is no work, or planning, or knowledge, or wisdom, in Sheol, there where you go.

¹⁷ And answering, Jesus said, O faithless and perverted generation! How long will I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.

³⁶ naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me. ³⁷ Then the righteous will answer, saying, Lord, when did we see You hungry, and fed You; or thirsting, and gave You drink? ³⁸ And when did we see You a stranger, and took You in; or naked, and clothed You ? ³⁹ And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and came to You?

¹¹ For you always have the poor with you, but you do not always have Me.

⁸ What this one held, she did. She took beforehand to anoint My body for the burial.

⁴⁴ And He said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you yet being with you, that must be fulfilled all the things having been written in the Law of Moses, and the Prophets, and the Psalms, concerning Me.

⁸ For you always have the poor with you, but you do not always have Me.

¹² While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name; I guarded those whom You gave to Me, and not one of them was lost, except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

² And devout men together carried Stephen and made a great lamentation over him.

³⁵ I showed you all things, that working in this way we ought to help those being weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

¹² For if the eagerness is present, it is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.

²⁸ The one stealing, let him steal no more, but rather let him labor, working what is good with the hands, that he may have something to give to the one that has need.

³ remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love, and the patience of hope of our Lord Jesus Christ before our God and Father,

¹³ But I do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who sleep, that you not grieve, as the rest also, not having hope.

¹⁵ But if a brother or a sister is naked and may be lacking in daily food, ¹⁶ and any one of you say to them, Go in peace, be warmed and filled, but does not give them the things the body needs, what gain is it ? ¹⁷ So also faith, if it does not have works, is dead being by itself.

¹⁸ My little children, let us not love in word, or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

¹⁹ And he said to her, Give me your son; and he took him out of her bosom, and caused him to go up into the upper room where he was staying, and laid him on his own bed. ²⁰ And he cried to Jehovah and said, Jehovah my God, have You also brought evil on the widow with whom I am staying, by slaying her son? ²¹ And he stretched himself on the child three times, and called to Jehovah and said, O Jehovah my God, I beg You, let the soul of this boy return to him. ²² And Jehovah listened to the voice of Elijah, and the soul of the boy returned to him, and he lived. ²³ And Elijah took the boy and brought him down from the upper room of the house, and gave him to his mother; and Elijah said, See your son lives!

³² And Elisha came into the house. And, behold, the boy was dead, laid out on his bed. ³³ And he went in and shut the door on both of them, and prayed to Jehovah. ³⁴ And he went up and lay down on the boy, and put his mouth on his mouth, and his eyes on his eyes, and his hands on his hands, and stretched himself on him. And the flesh of the boy became warm. ³⁵ And he returned, and walked in the house, once here and once there. And he went up and stretched himself on him. And the boy sneezed seven times, and the boy opened his eyes. ³⁶ And he called Gehazi and said, Call this Shunammite. And he called her, and she came in to him. And he said, Take up your son.

²⁵ But when the crowd had been put out, entering He took hold of her hand, and the little girl rose up.

⁴⁰ And they laughed at Him. But putting all out, He took along the father and the mother of the child, and those with Him, and passed on into where the child was lying. ⁴¹ And taking hold of the child's hand, He said to her, Talitha koumi; which is, being translated, Little girl, I say to you, Rise up! ⁴² And immediately the little girl rose up and walked. For she was twelve years old . And they were amazed with great amazement.

²⁵ And seeing that a crowd is running together, Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, Dumb and deaf spirit, I command you, Come out from him, and you may no more go into him!

⁵⁴ But putting all outside, and taking hold of her hand, He called out, saying, Child, rise up!

⁴¹ And He was withdrawn from them, about a stone's throw. And placing the knees, He prayed,

⁴³ And saying these things, He cried out with a loud voice, Lazarus! Here! Outside! ⁴⁴ And the one who had died came out, the feet and the hands having been bound with sheets, and his face being bound with a cloth. Jesus said to them, Loosen him and let him go.

⁶⁰ And placing the knees, he cried out with a loud voice, Lord, do not make stand this sin to them. And saying this, he fell asleep.

³⁶ And saying these things, placing his knees, he prayed with them all.

⁵ But when it was time for us to complete the days, going out, we traveled. And they, with all the women and children went with us as far as outside the city. And placing the knees on the shore, we prayed.

²⁶ And they told him, saying, Joseph is still alive, and he is ruler in all the land of Egypt. And his heart froze up, for he did not believe them.

²³ And Elijah took the boy and brought him down from the upper room of the house, and gave him to his mother; and Elijah said, See your son lives!

¹³ The blessing of the perishing came on me; and I made the widow's heart to sing.

⁹ Jehovah watches over the strangers; He relieves the orphan and the widow, but He warps the way of the wicked.

³¹ And coming near, He raised her up, holding her hand. And the fever left her instantly, and she served them.

¹² And as He drew near to the gate of the city, even behold, one having died was being borne, an only son born to his mother; and she was a widow. And a considerable crowd of the city was with her.

¹⁵ And the dead one sat up and began to speak. And He gave him to his mother.

⁷ And taking him by the right hand, he raised him up. And immediately his feet and ankle-bones were made firm.

¹² And they brought the boy alive and were comforted not a little.

⁴ And hearing, Jesus said, This is not sickness to death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God be glorified by it.

⁴⁵ Then many of the Jews, those coming to Mary, and having seen what Jesus did, believed into Him.

¹¹ because through him many of the Jews went away and believed into Jesus.

⁴⁴ But Jesus cried out and said, The one believing into Me does not believe into Me, but into the One sending Me.

³⁵ And all those dwelling in Lydda and the Sharon Plain saw him, who then turned to the Lord.

¹⁷ And this became known to all, both Jews and Greeks, those living in Ephesus. And fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. ¹⁸ And many of those who had believed came confessing, and declaring their deeds.
