¹ But in those days, the disciples having multiplied, a murmuring of the Hellenists toward the Hebrews occurred, because their widows were being overlooked in the daily serving. ² And having called near the multitude of the disciples, the Twelve said, It is not pleasing to us, having left the Word of God, to serve tables! ³ Then brothers, be looking for men among you receiving testimony, seven men full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we shall appoint over this need. ⁴ But we shall continue steadfast in prayer and the service of the Word! ⁵ And the saying was pleasing before all the multitude. And they chose out Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte from Antioch, ⁶ each of whom they made stand before the apostles. And having prayed, they placed their hands on them. ⁷ And the Word of God was increasing, and the number of the disciples in Jerusalem was multiplying exceedingly. Even a great crowd of the priests were attending to the faith! ⁸ And Stephen, full of faith and power, was doing wonders and great signs among the people. ⁹ But some of those of the synagogue called Libertines, rose up, also some Cyrenians and Alexandrians, and some of those from Cilicia and Asia Minor, disputing with Stephen. ¹⁰ And they had no strength to stand against the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke. ¹¹ Then they induced some men to be saying, We have heard him speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God! ¹² And they stirred up the people and the elders and the scribes. And coming on, they together seized him and led him into the sanhedrin. ¹³ And they stood up false witnesses, who were saying, This man does not cease speaking blasphemous words against this holy place and the Law; ¹⁴ for we have heard him saying that this Jesus the Nazarene will destroy this place and will change the customs which Moses delivered over to us. ¹⁵ And having looked intently at him, all those having sat in the sanhedrin, saw his face as if it were the face of an angel.

¹⁹ When you cut down your harvest in your field, and have forgotten a sheaf in the field, you shall not turn back to take it. It shall be for the alien, for the orphan. and for the widow; so that Jehovah your God shall bless you in all the work of your hand. ²⁰ When you beat your olive tree, you shall not search the branch behind you. It shall be for the alien, for the orphan, and for the widow. ²¹ When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, you shall not glean it afterward. It shall be for the alien, for the orphan, and for the widow.

¹² When you have made an end of tithing all the tithes of your increase the third year, the year of tithing, and have given it to the Levite, the alien, the orphan, and the widow, that they may eat inside your gates, and be filled,

¹³ The blessing of the perishing came on me; and I made the widow's heart to sing.

¹⁶ If I have withheld from the desire of the poor, or I have caused the widow's eyes to fail,

¹⁶ A fullness of grain shall be in the earth on top of the mountains; its fruit shall shake like Lebanon; and they of the city shall flourish like the grass of the earth.

³ Your people shall be willing in the day of Your power; in holy adornment from the womb of the dawn, to You is the dew of Your youth.

¹⁷ Learn to do good, seek justice, reprove the oppressor, judge the orphan, strive for the widow.

⁶ Those who come to Jacob, He shall make take root. Israel shall blossom and bud and fill the face of the world with fruit.

¹⁹ And out of them shall come thanksgiving and the voice of those who are merry. And I will multiply them, and they shall not be few. I also will honor them, and they shall not be small.

⁷ In you they have despised father and mother. In your midst they have dealt with the alien by oppression. In you they oppressed the widow and the orphan.

⁵ And I will come near to you for judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against those swearing to a lie; and against those who extort from the hired laborer's pay; and turning away the widow, and the fatherless, and the alien, and not fearing Me, says Jehovah of hosts.

¹³ But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of Heaven before men; for you do not enter, nor do you allow those entering to go in.

⁴¹ Then those who gladly welcomed his words were baptized. And about three thousand souls were added that day.

⁴⁵ And they sold possessions and goods and distributed them to all, according as anyone had need.

⁴⁷ praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church those being saved from day to day.

⁴ But many of those hearing the Word believed; and the number of the men became about five thousand.

³⁵ and laid them at the feet of the apostles. And it was distributed to each according as any had need.

¹⁴ And more believing ones were added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and of women,

²⁸ saying, Did we not command you by a command that you not teach in this name? And, behold, you have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine and intend to bring on us the blood of this man.

⁷ And the Word of God was increasing, and the number of the disciples in Jerusalem was multiplying exceedingly. Even a great crowd of the priests were attending to the faith!

²⁹ And he spoke and disputed with the Hellenists, and they took him in hand to do away with him .

³⁹ And rising up Peter went with them, and having arrived they led to the upper room. And all the widows stood by him, weeping and showing tunics and garments such as Dorcas made while being with them.

⁴¹ And giving her a hand he raised her up. And calling the saints and the widows he presented her living.

²⁰ But some men from them, Cypriots and Cyrenians, who had come to Antioch, spoke to the Hellenists, announcing the gospel of the Lord Jesus.

¹⁰ Neither should you murmur, as also some of them murmured, and perished by the destroyer.

²² Are they Hebrews? I also. Are they Israelites? I also. Are they Abraham's seed? I also.

⁵ in circumcision, the eighth day, of the race of Israel, the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; according to Law, a Pharisee;

⁴ But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to be godly to their own house and to make a return payment to their forebears, for this is good and pleasing before God. ⁵ But honor the one being really a widow, even having been left alone, who has set her hope on God and continues in petitions and prayers night and day.

⁹ Let a widow be enrolled having become not less than sixty years, the wife of one man,

¹ Let brotherly love continue.

²⁷ Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their afflictions, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

⁵ Or do you think that vainly the Scripture says, The spirit which has dwelt in us yearns to envy? No OT passage

⁹ Do not murmur against one another, brothers, that you not be condemned. Behold, the Judge stands before the door.

¹⁷ And the father-in-law of Moses said to him, The thing which you do is not good. ¹⁸ Surely you will wear out, both you and this people with you. For the thing is heavy for you. You are not able to do it by yourself. ¹⁹ Now listen to my voice. I will counsel you, and may God be with you. You be for this people before God, and you bring the matters to God. ²⁰ And you warn them as to the statutes and the laws, and make known to them the way in which they should walk, and the work which they should do. ²¹ And you, you shall look out men of ability out of all the people, who fear God, men of truth, haters of unjust gain. And you place these over them as rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens. ²² And let them judge the people at all times. And it shall be that every great matter they shall bring to you, and every small matter they shall judge. And you make it easy on yourself, and let them bear with you. ²³ If you do this thing, and God command you, you will be able to stand; and also this people will go in peace to their place. ²⁴ And Moses listened to the voice of his father-in-law, and he did all that he had said. ²⁵ And Moses chose men of ability from all Israel and made them heads over the people; rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens. ²⁶ And they judged the people at all times; the hard matters they brought to Moses, and every small matter they judged themselves.

¹¹ And Moses said to Jehovah, Why have You done evil to Your servant; and why have I not found grace in Your eyes to put the burden of all this people on me? ¹² I, have I conceived all this people? I, have I begotten it, that You say to me, Carry it in your bosom as the foster father bears the suckling, to the land which You have sworn to its fathers? ¹³ Where shall I get flesh to give to all this people? For they weep to me, saying, Give to us flesh that we may eat.

⁹ And I spoke to you at that time, saying, I am not able to bear you by myself. ¹⁰ Jehovah your God has multiplied you, and, behold, today you are as the stars of heaven for multitude. ¹¹ May Jehovah the God of your fathers add to you, a thousand times more than you are, and bless you as He has spoken to you! ¹² How can I by myself bear your pressure and your burden, and your strife? ¹³ Give wise and understanding men, and those known to your tribes, and I will appoint them rulers over you. ¹⁴ And you answered me and said, The thing which you have spoken is good to do.

³ And I sent messengers to them, saying, I am doing a great work, and I cannot come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and come down to you?

¹⁹ But answering them Peter and John said, Whether it is right before God to listen to you rather than God, you judge.

²² What then is it? At all events, a multitude must come together, for they will hear that you have come.

²⁷ For it seems unreasonable to me to send a prisoner, and not also to signify the charges against him.

⁴ No one serving as a soldier entangles himself with the affairs of this life, so that he might please the one enlisting him .

³⁸ And Pharaoh said to his servants, Can we find any man like this, in whom is the Spirit of God? ³⁹ And Pharaoh said to Joseph, Since God has taught you all this, there is no one wise and intelligent like you.

¹⁶ And Jehovah said to Moses, assemble to Me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you have known that they are elders of the people, and its officers. And you shall take them to the tabernacle of the congregation; and they shall station themselves there with you. ¹⁷ And I shall come down and speak with you there; and I will take of the spirit which is upon you, and will put it on them; and they will bear the burden of the people with you, that you may not bear it yourself alone. ¹⁸ And you shall say to the people, Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, and you shall eat flesh. For you have wept in the ears of Jehovah, saying, Who shall give us flesh, for we had good in Egypt? And Jehovah shall give flesh to you, and you shall eat. ¹⁹ You shall not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, nor ten days, nor twenty days; ²⁰ but to a month of days, until it comes out of your nostrils, and it shall become to you a loathsome thing; because you have loathed Jehovah, who is in your midst, and weep before Him, saying, Why is it that we have come out of Egypt? ²¹ And Moses said, The people in whose midst I am are six hundred thousand footmen; and You, You have said, I shall give flesh to them, and they shall eat a month of days. ²² Shall flock and herd be slaughtered for them, so one may find for them? Ar all the fish in the sea to be gathered for them, that one may find for them? ²³ And Jehovah said to Moses, Is the hand of Jehovah shortened? Now you shall see whether My word shall come to pass to you or not. ²⁴ And Moses went out and spoke to the people the words of Jehovah and gathered seventy men of the elders of the people, and caused them to stand around the tabernacle. ²⁵ And Jehovah came down in the cloud and spoke to him, and took of the spirit which was on him, and put it on the seventy men of the elders. And it happened, as the spirit rested on them, that they prophesied, but they did not continue.

¹⁸ And Jehovah said to Moses, Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him. ¹⁹ And cause him to stand before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation, and give him a charge in their sight.

¹³ Give wise and understanding men, and those known to your tribes, and I will appoint them rulers over you.

⁷ I said, Days will speak, and many years will make wisdom known. ⁸ But it is a spirit in man giving them perception, even the breath of the Almighty.

² And the Spirit of Jehovah shall rest on Him; He will have the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and power, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah. ³ And He is made to breathe in the fear of Jehovah. But He shall not judge by the seeing of His eyes, nor decide by the hearing of His ears. ⁴ But He shall judge the poor in righteousness, and shall decide rightly for the meek of the earth. And He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, and He shall slay the wicked with the breath of His lips. ⁵ And righteousness shall be the encircler of His loins, and faithfulness the encircler of His reins.

⁶ and a spirit of justice to him who sits on the judgment seat; and for might to those turning back the battle toward the gate.

²⁶ And He instructs him for the right; his God teaches him.

⁸ But do not you be called Rabbi, for One is your Leader, the Christ, and you are all brothers.

²¹ Therefore, it is right that one of these men being together with us all the time in which the Lord Jesus came in and went out among us,

⁴ And they were all filled of the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave ability to them to speak.

⁶ each of whom they made stand before the apostles. And having prayed, they placed their hands on them.

³⁰ But knowing, the brothers led him down to Caesarea and sent him forth to Tarsus.

²² And they said, Cornelius, a centurion, a just man and one fearing God, and being testified to by all the nation of the Jews, was divinely warned by a holy angel to call you to his house and to hear words from you.

² And while they were doing service to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, So then separate both Barnabas and Saul to Me, for the work to which I have called them. ³ Then, having fasted and prayed, and placing hands on them, they let them go.

²³ writing by their hand these things: The apostles and the elders and the brothers, to those throughout Antioch, and Syria, and Cilicia, brothers from the nations: Greeting.

² This one was being testified of by the brothers in Lystra and Iconium.

¹² And a certain Ananias, a devout man according to the Law, testified to by all the Jews living there,

⁸ For through the Spirit is given to one a word of wisdom, and to another a word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit;

³ And when I arrive, whomever you approve through these epistles, I will send to carry your grace to Jerusalem.

¹⁹ and not only so, but also he having been chosen by the churches as a traveling companion to us with this gift being ministered by us to the glory of the Lord Himself, and your eagerness, ²⁰ avoiding this, lest anyone should blame us in this bounty being ministered by us; ²¹ providing right things not only before the Lord, but also before men. Prov. 3:4

¹⁸ And "do not be drunk with wine," in which is debauchery, but be filled by the Spirit, Prov. 23:31

⁷ But he must also have a good witness from those outside, that he not fall into reproach and into a snare of the Devil. ⁸ Likewise, deacons to be reverent, not double-tongued, not addicted to much wine, not greedy of ill gain, ⁹ having the mystery of the faith with a pure conscience. ¹⁰ And also let these be tested first, then let them serve, being without reproach. ¹¹ Likewise, their wives to be reverent, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things. ¹² Let deacons be husbands of one wife, ruling their own households and children well. ¹³ For those having served well gain a good grade for themselves and much boldness in faith, those in Christ Jesus. ¹⁴ I write these things to you, hoping to come to you shortly. ¹⁵ But if I delay, that you may know how to behave in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.

¹⁰ being witnessed by good works, if she brought up children, if she hosted strangers, if she washed the feet of the saints, if she relieved afflicted ones, if she followed after every good work.

¹⁷ every act of good giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom is no change or shadow of turning.

¹⁷ But the wisdom from above is firstly truly pure, then peaceable, forbearing, yielding, full of mercy and of good fruits, not partial and not pretended. ¹⁸ And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for the ones making peace.

¹⁴ We know that we have passed from death to life because we love the brothers. The one not loving the brother remains in death. ¹⁵ Everyone hating the brother is a murderer, and you know that every murderer does not have everlasting life abiding in him. ¹⁶ By this we have known the love of God, because that One laid down His life for us; and on behalf of the brothers we ought to lay down our lives.

¹² Witness has been borne to Demetrius by all, and by the truth itself. And we also bear witness, and you know that our witness is true.

¹⁴ These all were continuing steadfastly in prayer and in supplication with one mind, with the women, and with Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.

⁴² And they were continuing steadfastly in the doctrine of the apostles, and in fellowship, and in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

¹⁹ serving the Lord with all humility, and many tears and trials happening to me by the plots of the Jews; ²⁰ as I kept nothing back of what is profitable, so as not to tell you, and to teach you publicly, and from house to house, ²¹ earnestly testifying both to Jews and to Greeks repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. ²² And now, behold, being bound by the Spirit, I go to Jerusalem, not knowing the things going to meet me in it, ²³ but that the Holy Spirit testifies city by city saying that bonds and afflictions await me. ²⁴ But I make account of nothing, nor do I hold my life precious to myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, fully to testify the gospel of the grace of God. ²⁵ And now, behold, I know that you all will see my face no more, among whom I went about proclaiming the kingdom of God. ²⁶ Because of this I testify to you on this day that I am pure from the blood of all. ²⁷ For I did not keep back from declaring to you all the counsel of God. ²⁸ Then take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit placed you as overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased through His own blood. ²⁹ For I know this, that after my departure grievous wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; ³⁰ and out of you yourselves will rise up men speaking perverted things, in order to draw away the disciples after themselves. ³¹ Because of this watch, remembering that I did not cease admonishing each one with tears night and day for three years.

⁹ For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the gospel of His Son, how without ceasing I make mention of you

⁶ but having different gifts according to the grace given to us, whether prophecy, according to the proportion of faith; ⁷ or ministry, in the ministry; or the one teaching, in the teaching; ⁸ or the one exhorting, in the encouragement; the one sharing, in simplicity; the one taking the lead, in diligence; the one showing mercy, in cheerfulness.

¹⁶ For if I announce the gospel, no glory is to me; for necessity is laid on me, and it is woe to me if I do not announce the gospel.

¹⁵ Because of this, hearing of your faith in the Lord Jesus and love toward all the saints, ¹⁶ I also do not cease giving thanks on your behalf, making mention of you in my prayers, ¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of Him,

¹⁴ For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, ¹⁵ of whom every family in Heaven and on earth is named, ¹⁶ that He may give you, according to the riches of His glory, by His power to become mighty in the inward man through His Spirit, ¹⁷ that through faith Christ may dwell in your hearts, having been rooted and founded in love, ¹⁸ that you may be given strength to grasp, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and depth and height, ¹⁹ and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled to all the fullness of God. ²⁰ Now to Him being able to do exceedingly above all that we ask or think, according to the power working in us, ²¹ to Him be the glory in the church in Christ Jesus, to all the generations of the age forever. Amen.

⁴ always in my every prayer on your behalf making my prayer with joy

⁹ And this I pray, that your love may yet abound more and more in full knowledge and all perception, ¹⁰ for you to distinguish the things that differ, that you may be sincere and without blame for the day of Christ, ¹¹ being filled with the fruits of righteousness through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

⁹ For this cause also, from the day in which we heard, we do not cease praying on your behalf, and asking that you may be filled with the full knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, ¹⁰ for you to walk worthily of the Lord to all pleasing, bearing fruit in every good work and growing into the full knowledge of God; ¹¹ being empowered with all power according to the might of His glory, to all patience and longsuffering with joy; ¹² giving thanks to the Father, who has made us fit for a share of the inheritance of the saints in light, ¹³ who delivered us out of the authority of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

¹ For I want you to know how great a struggle I have concerning you, and those in Laodicea, and as many as have not seen my face in the flesh,

¹² Epaphras greets you, he of you, a slave of Christ, always striving for you in prayers, that you may stand full-grown and being complete in every will of God.

¹⁷ And say to Archippus, Look to the ministry which you received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it.

¹³ Until I come, attend to reading, to exhortation, to teaching. ¹⁴ Do not be neglectful of the gift in you, which was given to you through prophecy, with laying on of the hands of the elderhood. ¹⁵ Give care to these things; be in these things in order that your progress may be plain in all. ¹⁶ Give attention to yourself and to the doctrine; continue in them, for doing this, you will both deliver yourself and those hearing you.

² preach the Word, be urgent in season, out of season, convict, warn, encourage with all long-suffering and teaching.

³⁷ And the word was good in Pharaoh's eyes, and in the eyes of all his servants.

¹ A soft answer turns away wrath, but a hurtful word stirs up anger.

²³ A man has joy by the answer of his mouth, and how good is a word in its season!

¹¹ A word rightly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver. ¹² As a ring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover on a hearing ear.

⁸ But by the Spirit of Jehovah I am full of power and justice and might, to declare to Jacob his transgression, and his sin to Israel.

¹⁵ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you go about the sea and the dry land to make one proselyte; and when he has become so, you make him twofold more a son of Hell than yourselves.

⁸ And Stephen, full of faith and power, was doing wonders and great signs among the people.

¹⁰ And they had no strength to stand against the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke.

¹ And the high priest said, Tell me then if you thus hold these things? ² And he said, Men, brothers, and fathers, listen! The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham, being in Mesopotamia before he lived in Haran,

¹ And Saul was consenting to the doing away of him. And in that day a great persecution took place on the church which was in Jerusalem; and all were scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. ² And devout men together carried Stephen and made a great lamentation over him.

⁵ And going down to a city of Samaria, Philip proclaimed Christ to them. ⁶ And with one passion the crowds heeded that being said by Philip when they heard and saw the many miracles which he did. ⁷ For many came out from those having unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice. And many who had been paralyzed and lame were healed. ⁸ And great joy was in that city. ⁹ But a certain man named Simon had long been conjuring in the city and amazing the nation of Samaria, claiming himself to be some great one. ¹⁰ All were paying attention to him, from small to great, saying, This one is the power of God, which is great. ¹¹ And they were paying attention to him because for a long time he had amazed them with his conjuring. ¹² But when they believed Philip preaching the gospel, the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. ¹³ And Simon himself also believed, and being baptized was continuing steadfastly with Philip. And seeing miracles and mighty works happening, he was amazed. ¹⁴ And the apostles in Jerusalem hearing that Samaria had received the Word of God, they sent Peter and John to them, ¹⁵ who going down prayed concerning them so that they may receive the Holy Spirit. ¹⁶ For He had not yet fallen on any one of them, but they were only being baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. ¹⁷ Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit. ¹⁸ But Simon having seen that the Holy Spirit is given through the laying on of the hands of the apostles, he offered them money, ¹⁹ saying, Give to me also this authority that to whomever I may lay on the hands he may receive the Holy Spirit. ²⁰ But Peter said to him, May your silver be with you into perdition, because you thought to get the gift of God through money. ²¹ There is neither part nor lot to you in this matter, for your heart is not upright before the face of God. ²² Repent, then, from this wickedness of yours, and petition God if perhaps you will be forgiven the thought of your heart. ²³ For I see you being in the gall of bitterness and a bundle of unrighteousness. ²⁴ And answering Simon said, You petition to the Lord for me, so that nothing of which you have spoken may come on me. ²⁵ Then indeed having earnestly testified and having spoken the Word of the Lord, they returned to Jerusalem, even having announced the gospel to many villages of the Samaritans. ²⁶ But an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, Rise up and go along south on the highway going down to Jerusalem to Gaza. This is a deserted place . ²⁷ And rising up he went. And, behold, an Ethiopian man, a eunuch, one in power with Candace the queen of Ethiopians, who was over all her treasure, who had come to Jerusalem to worship! ²⁸ And he was returning. And sitting on his chariot he read the prophet Isaiah. ²⁹ And the Spirit said to Philip, Go near and join yourself to this chariot. ³⁰ And running near Philip heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, Indeed, do you know what you are reading? ³¹ But he said, How should I be able except someone shall guide me? And he called Philip near, to come up to sit with him. ³² And the content of the Scripture which he was reading was this: "He was led as a sheep to slaughter, and as a lamb voiceless before the one shearing it, so He does not open His mouth. ³³ In His humiliation His judgment was taken away; and who will recount His generation? For His life is taken away from the earth." Isa. 53:7, 8 ³⁴ And answering the eunuch said to Philip, I ask you, about whom does the prophet say this? About himself, or about some other one? ³⁵ And opening his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture, Philip announced the gospel to him, Jesus. ³⁶ And as they were going along the highway they came on some water. And the eunuch said, Behold, water! What prevents me from being baptized? ³⁷ And Philip said, If you believe from all the heart, it is lawful. And answering he said, I believe Jesus Christ to be the Son of God. ³⁸ And he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both went down into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. ³⁹ But when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip. And the eunuch did not see him any more; for he went his way rejoicing. ⁴⁰ And Philip was found at Azotus. And passing through he preached the gospel to all the cities until he came to Caesarea.

¹⁹ Then, indeed, they who were scattered by the oppression taking place over Stephen passed through to Phoenicia and Cyprus and Antioch, speaking the Word to no one except only to Jews.

²⁴ For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a considerable crowd was added to the Lord.

¹ And in Antioch some among the existing church were prophets and teachers: both Barnabas and Simeon, he being called Niger, and Lucius the Cyrenian, and Manaen the foster brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

²² Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with all the church, to send chosen men from them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas, Judas having been surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, leading men among the brothers,

⁸ And on the morrow, those around him going out, Paul came to Caesarea. And going into the house of Philip the evangelist, he being of the Seven, we stayed with him.

⁶ But you have this, that you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

¹⁵ So you also have those holding the teaching of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.

¹⁰ And you shall bring the Levites before Jehovah; and the sons of Israel shall lay their hands on the Levites.

²⁴ And having prayed, they said, You, Lord, knower of all hearts, show which one You chose from these two,

¹⁷ Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

¹⁷ And Ananias went away and entered into the house. And putting hands on him he said, Brother Saul, the Lord has sent me, Jesus, the One who appeared to you in the highway on which you came, that you may see and be filled of the Holy Spirit.

³ Then, having fasted and prayed, and placing hands on them, they let them go.

¹⁴ Do not be neglectful of the gift in you, which was given to you through prophecy, with laying on of the hands of the elderhood.

²² Lay hands quickly on no one, nor share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.

⁶ For which cause I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

² of the baptisms, of doctrine, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of dead ones, and of eternal judgment.

³⁴ Only, the priests had become few, and were not able to skin all of the burnt offerings; and their brothers the Levites strengthened them until the work was ended, and until the priests sanctified themselves; for the Levites were more upright of heart to sanctify themselves than the priests.

²⁴ And Hezekiah the king of Judah had lifted up to the congregation a thousand bullocks, and seven thousand sheep. And the leaders had lifted up to the congregation a thousand bullocks, and ten thousand sheep. And the priests had sanctified themselves in abundance.

⁹ Let Your priests be clothed with righteousness, and let Your saints shout for joy.

¹⁶ And I will clothe her priests with salvation; and her saints shall surely shout.

³⁰ But many first ones shall be last, and last ones first.

³⁴ And Simeon blessed them and said to His mother Mariam, Behold, this One is set for the fall and rising up of many in Israel, and for a sign spoken against;

⁴² Still, however, even out of the rulers, many did believe into Him. But because of the Pharisees, they were not confessing, so that they not be put out of the synagogue.

²⁴ But the Word of God grew and increased.

⁸ But Elymas, the conjurer (for so his name is translated) withstood them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith.

²² confirming the souls of the disciples, exhorting to continue in the faith, and that through many afflictions we must enter into the kingdom of God.

²⁰ So with might, the Word of the Lord increased and was strong.

²⁰ And hearing, they glorified the Lord, and said to him, You see, brother, how many myriads there are of Jews that have believed, and all are zealous ones of the Law.

⁵ by whom we received grace and apostleship to obedience of faith among all the nations, for His name's sake,

²⁶ but now has been made plain, and by prophetic Scriptures, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known for obedience of faith to all the nations;

⁶ coming to you, as also in all the world, and it is bearing fruit even also among you, from the day in which you heard and knew the grace of God in truth;

⁸ in flaming fire giving full vengeance to those not knowing God, and to those not obeying the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, Isa. 66:15; Jer. 10:25

⁹ in which I suffer ill as an evildoer, unto bonds; but the Word of God has not been bound.

⁹ and being perfected, He became the Author of eternal salvation to all the ones obeying Him,

⁸ Having been called out by faith, Abraham obeyed to go forth to a place which he was going to receive for an inheritance; and he went out not understanding where he went.

⁴⁸ Then Jesus said to him, Unless you see signs and wonders, you will not at all believe.

¹⁷ "And it shall be" in the last days, God says, "I will pour from My Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy;" "and your young men shall see visions," "and your old men shall dream dreams;" ¹⁸ "and also I will pour out My Spirit on My slaves and slave women in those days," and they shall prophesy.

²⁹ And now, Lord, look upon their threatenings and give to Your slaves to speak Your Word with all boldness, ³⁰ in the extending of Your hand for healing and miracles and wonders to happen through the name of Your holy child Jesus.

⁵ And the saying was pleasing before all the multitude. And they chose out Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte from Antioch,

¹⁵ And having looked intently at him, all those having sat in the sanhedrin, saw his face as if it were the face of an angel.

⁵⁵ But being full of the Holy Spirit, looking intently into the heaven, he saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right of God.

⁶ And with one passion the crowds heeded that being said by Philip when they heard and saw the many miracles which he did.

¹¹ And indeed He gave some to be apostles; and some prophets; and some evangelists; and some pastors and teachers;

¹³ For those having served well gain a good grade for themselves and much boldness in faith, those in Christ Jesus.

¹⁷ But beware of men. For they will betray you to sanhedrins, and they will flog you in their synagogues.

³⁴ Because of this, behold, I send to you prophets and wise ones and scribes. And some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will flog in your synagogues and will persecute from city to city;

³² And going out, they found a man, a Cyrenean, named Simon. They forced this one to bear His cross.

⁹ But you yourselves be careful, for they will deliver you up to sanhedrins and to synagogues. You will be beaten, and you will be led before governors and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them.

¹² But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you, and will persecute you, delivering you into the synagogues and prisons, being led away before kings and governors on account of My name.

⁹ Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and those living in Mesopotamia, both Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, ¹⁰ both Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt, and the regions of Libya over against Cyrene, and the temporarily residing Romans, both Jews and proselytes,

⁴⁵ And the Jews seeing the crowds, they were filled with jealousy, and contradicted the things being spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.

⁴¹ And he went through Syria and Cilicia, making the churches strong.

⁶ And passing through the Phrygian and the Galatian country, being forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the Word in Asia,

¹⁷ Then, indeed, he addressed the Jews in the synagogue, and those worshiping, also in the market every day, to those happening to be there . ¹⁸ And some of the Epicureans and of the Stoics, philosophers, fell in with him. And some said, What may this chatterer wish to say? And these others, He seems to be an announcer of foreign demons (because he announced Jesus and the resurrection to them).

²⁴ But a certain Jew named Apollos, an Alexandrian by birth, an eloquent man, came to Ephesus, being powerful in the Scriptures.

¹⁰ And this happened over two years, so as all those living in Asia heard the Word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

²⁶ And you see and hear that not only Ephesus, but almost all of Asia, persuading, this Paul perverted a huge crowd, saying that those being made by hands are not gods.

²⁷ But when the seven days were about to be completed, having seen him in the temple, the Jews from Asia stirred up all the crowd, and they laid hands on him,

³⁹ But Paul said, Indeed I am a man, a Jew of Tarsus, of Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city. And I beg you, allow me to speak to the people.

³ Indeed I am a man, a Jew having been born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but having been brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, having been trained according to the exactness of the ancestral law, being a zealous one of God, even as you all are today.

¹⁹ And I said, Lord, they understand that I was imprisoning and beating the ones believing on You throughout the synagogues.

³⁴ And reading it, the governor asked from what province he is. And having learned that he was from Cilicia,

¹¹ And often punishing them through all the synagogues, I compelled them to blaspheme. And being exceedingly furious against them, I even persecuted as far as the outside cities.

⁵ And sailing over the sea against Cilicia and Pamphylia, we came to Myra of Lycia. ⁶ And the centurion finding there an Alexandrian ship sailing to Italy, he put us into it.

²⁰ Where is the wise? Where the scribe? Where the lawyer of this world? Did God not make the wisdom of this world foolish? ²¹ Then I went into the regions of Syria and of Cilicia,

¹² And now go, and I will be with your mouth, and will teach you what you shall speak.

⁸ But it is a spirit in man giving them perception, even the breath of the Almighty.

¹⁸ For I am full of words; the spirit inside me pressed on me;

¹⁷ Every weapon formed against you shall not prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the inheritance of the servants of Jehovah, and their righteousness is from Me, says Jehovah.

¹⁸ For, behold, today I have made you a fortified city, and an iron pillar, and bronze walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against her princes, against her priests, and to the people of the land. ¹⁹ And they shall fight against you; but they shall not overcome you. For I am with you to deliver you, declares Jehovah.

²⁰ And I will make you a fortified wall of bronze to this people. And they shall fight against you, but they shall not overcome you; for I am with you to save you and to deliver you, says Jehovah.

²⁷ But in My speaking with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall say to them, So says the Lord Jehovah. He who hears, let him hear; and he who stops, let him stop. For they are a rebellious house.

¹⁹ But when they deliver you up, do not be anxious how or what you should say, for it is given to you in that hour what you should say. ²⁰ For you are not the ones speaking, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.

¹⁷ And he will go out before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah "to turn the hearts of fathers to their children," and disobedient ones to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people having been prepared for the Lord. Mal. 4:5, 6

¹¹ But when they bring you in before synagogues and rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious how or what you shall reply, or what you should say; ¹² for the Holy Spirit will teach you in the same hour what you ought to say.

¹⁵ For I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all those opposing you will not be able to withstand or contradict.

⁴⁶ The officers answered, Never did a man so speak as does this man.

³⁹ But if it is from God, you will not be able to destroy it, lest you be found even fighters against God.

⁵¹ Oh stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and in the ears! You always fell against the Holy Spirit. As your fathers did, you also did .

⁴ And my word and my preaching was not in moving words of human wisdom, but in proof of the Spirit and of power,

¹⁶ And he who blasphemes the name of Jehovah shall certainly be put to death. All the congregation shall certainly cast stones at him. As to the alien, so to a native, when he blasphemes the Name, he is to be put to death.

¹⁰ And set two men, sons of worthlessness, across from him; and they shall testify of him, saying, You have cursed God and the king. And they shall bring him out and stone him; and he shall die. ¹¹ And the men of his city, the elders and the nobles who lived in his city, did as Jezebel had sent to them, as was written in the letters that she sent to them. ¹² They proclaimed a fast, and made Naboth to sit at the head of the people. ¹³ And two men, sons of worthlessness, came in and sat across from him. And the men of worthlessness testified of him before the people, even Naboth, saying, Naboth has cursed God and the king. And they took him out to the outside of the city, and stoned him with stones. And he died.

⁵⁹ And the chief priests and the elders and the whole sanhedrin looked for false testimony against Jesus, so that they might put Him to death, ⁶⁰ but did not find any, even though there were many false witnesses coming forward, they did not find any. But at last, coming up two false witnesses

¹² And being assembled with the elders, and taking counsel, they gave enough silver to the soldiers, ¹³ saying, Say that his disciples came and stole him by night, we being asleep. ¹⁴ And if this is heard by the governor, we will persuade him and will make you free from anxiety. ¹⁵ And taking the silver, they did as they were taught. And this report was spread by the Jews until today.

¹⁷ For the Law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

⁴⁵ Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father; there is one accusing you, Moses, in whom you have hoped. ⁴⁶ For if you were believing Moses, you would then believe Me; for that one wrote concerning Me. ⁴⁷ But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?

²⁹ We know that God has spoken by Moses, but this one, we do not know from where he is.

³³ The Jews answered Him, saying, We do not stone you concerning a good work, but concerning blasphemy; and because you, being a man, make yourself God. ³⁴ Jesus answered them, Has it not been written in your Law, "I said, you are gods"? Psa. 82:6 ³⁵ If He called those gods with whom the Word of God was, and the Scripture cannot be broken, ³⁶ do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, You blaspheme, because I said, I am Son of God?

³ And they will do these things to you because they do not know the Father nor Me.

¹³ And they stood up false witnesses, who were saying, This man does not cease speaking blasphemous words against this holy place and the Law;

³⁷ This is the Moses who said to the sons of Israel, " The Lord your God will raise up a Prophet to you" "from your brothers, One like me." You shall hear Him. Deut. 18:15 ³⁸ This is the one who was in the congregation in the wilderness with the Angel who spoke to him in Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, who received living words to give to us, ³⁹ to whom our fathers did not desire to be subject, but thrust him away, and turned their hearts back to Egypt,

²¹ For in every city from ancient generations Moses has those proclaiming him, having been read in the synagogues on every sabbath.

⁶ But they having resisted, and blaspheming, having shaken his garments, he said to them, Your blood be on your head. I am pure from it; from now on I will go to the nations.

²⁰ And hearing, they glorified the Lord, and said to him, You see, brother, how many myriads there are of Jews that have believed, and all are zealous ones of the Law. ²¹ And they were informed about you, that you teach falling away from Moses, telling all the Jews throughout the nations not to circumcise their children, nor to walk in the customs. ²² What then is it? At all events, a multitude must come together, for they will hear that you have come.

²⁸ crying out, Men, Israelites, help! This is the man who teaches all everywhere against the people and the Law and this place. And even more, he also brought Greeks into the temple and has defiled this holy place.

¹² And it becoming day, some of the Jews making a conspiracy cursed themselves, saying neither to eat nor to drink until they should kill Paul. ¹³ And those making this plot were more than forty; ¹⁴ who coming near to the chief priests and to the elders these said, With a curse we have cursed ourselves to taste of nothing until we shall kill Paul. ¹⁵ Now, then, you with the sanhedrin inform the chiliarch, so that tomorrow he may bring him down to you, as intending more accurately to find out about him. And before his drawing near, we are ready to kill him.

¹ And after five days Ananias the high priest came down with the elders, and a certain orator, Tertullus, who made a statement to the governor against Paul. ² And Tertullus being called, he began to accuse, saying, ³ Obtaining much peace through you and excellent accomplishments having come to this nation due to your forethought, in everything and everywhere we accept with all thankfulness, most excellent Felix. ⁴ But that I not hinder you more, I beseech you to hear us briefly in your fairness. ⁵ For finding this man pestilent and moving insurrection among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the Nazarene sect; ⁶ who also attempted to profane the temple, whom we also seized and wished to judge according to our law; ⁷ but Lysias the chiliarch coming up with much force took him away out of our hands, ⁸ commanding his accusers to come to you, from whom you will be able yourself to know, having examined as to all these things of which we accuse him. ⁹ And the Jews also joined in, alleging these things to be so. ¹⁰ But the governor signaling to him to speak, Paul answered: Understanding you as being a judge to this nation many years, I cheerfully defend myself as to the things concerning myself. ¹¹ You are able to know that not more than twelve days are to me since I went worshiping in Jerusalem; ¹² and neither did they find me reasoning with anyone in the temple, or making a gathering of a crowd, neither in the synagogues, nor throughout the city; ¹³ nor are they able to prove that concerning which they now accuse me.

³ asking a favor against him, so as he might send for him to Jerusalem, making a plot to kill him on the way.

⁷ And he having arrived, the Jews coming down from Jerusalem stood around, also bringing many weighty charges against Paul, which they were not able to prove.

⁸ And not (as we are wrongly accused, and as some report us to say), Let us do bad things so that good things may come, the judgment of whom is just.

¹³ the one who before was a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and insolent; but I received mercy, because being ignorant I did it in unbelief.

² "being faithful" to Him who appointed Him, as also "Moses" "in all his house." Num. 12:7 ³ For He was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by so much as the one having built the house has more honor than the house. ⁴ For every house is built by someone; but He who built all things is God. ⁵ And "Moses" truly " was faithful in all his house" as a ministering servant, for a testimony of the things having been spoken; Num. 12:7

¹⁸ A furious man stirs up quarreling, but he who is slow to anger calms fighting.

²² But I say to you, Everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause shall be liable to the Judgment. And whoever says to his brother, Raca, shall be liable to the sanhedrin; but whoever says, Fool! shall be liable to be thrown into the fire of Hell.

⁵⁷ And those who had seized Jesus led Him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.

¹ And as they were speaking to the people, the priests, and the temple commander, and the Sadducees stood near them, ² being distressed because they taught the people and announced in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. ³ And they laid hands on them, and put them into custody until the morrow, for it was already evening.

¹⁸ and laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in public custody.

²⁷ And bringing them, they stood in the sanhedrin. And the high priest asked them,

⁵⁰ But the Jews excited the devout and honorable women, and the chief ones of the city, and raised up a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and threw them out from their borders.

² But the unbelieving Jews raised up and made malignant the souls of the nations against the brothers.

¹⁹ And seeing that the hope of their gain went out, having seized Paul and Silas, her lords dragged them to the market before the rulers. ²⁰ And bringing them near to the magistrates, they said, These men are very much troubling our city, being Jews, ²¹ and announce customs which it is not lawful for us to receive, nor to do, being Romans.

⁵ But becoming jealous, and having taken aside some wicked men of the market loafers, and gathering a crowd, the disobeying Jews set the city into turmoil. And coming on the house of Jason, they sought to bring them on to the mob. ⁶ But not finding them, they dragged Jason and some brothers before the city judges, crying, Those turning the habitable world upside down have come here, too;

¹³ But when the Jews from Thessalonica knew that the Word of God was also announced in Berea by Paul, they came there also, shaking up the crowd.

¹² But Gallio being proconsul of Achaia, the Jews rushed against Paul with one passion and led him to the tribunal,

¹² Deliver me not into the soul of my enemies; for false witnesses have risen against me, and he that puffs out violence.

¹¹ Witnesses of violence rise up; they asked me what I did not know;

⁵ All the day they pervert my words; all their thoughts are against me for evil.

¹⁵ Then when you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (the one reading, let him understand), Dan. 11:31; 12:11

¹¹ Then they induced some men to be saying, We have heard him speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God!

⁵⁸ And throwing him outside the city, they stoned him . And the witnesses put off their garments at the feet of a young man called Saul.

⁸ Defending himself, Paul said, Neither against the Law of the Jews, nor against the temple, nor against Caesar have I sinned in anything.

¹⁵ And you shall leave your name for a curse to My chosen. And the Lord Jehovah shall kill you; and He shall call His servants by another name.

¹ So says Jehovah: Heaven is My throne, and earth the footstool of My feet. Where then is the house that you build for Me? And where then is the place of My rest? ² And My hand has made all these things, even all these things exist, declares Jehovah. But I will look toward this one, to the afflicted, and to the contrite of spirit, even trembling at My word. ³ He who kills an ox is as if he struck a man; he who sacrifices a lamb is as if he broke a dog's neck; he who offers a present is as if it were swine's blood; he who marks incense is as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their way, and their soul delights in their abominations. ⁴ I also will choose their vexations; and I will bring their fears to them; because I called, and no one answered; I spoke, and they did not hear. But they did the evil in My eyes, and chose that in which I had no pleasure. ⁵ Hear the word of Jehovah, those who tremble at His word. Your brothers who hate you, who drive you out for My name's sake, have said, Jehovah is glorified. But He shall appear in your joy, and they shall be ashamed. ⁶ A roaring sound from the city! A sound from the temple! It is the sound of Jehovah repaying retribution to His enemies.

¹⁹ And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those who escape from them to the nations of Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, drawers of the bow; to Tubal and Javan, to the far away coasts that have not heard My fame nor seen My glory. And they shall declare My glory among the nations. ²⁰ And they shall bring all your brothers out of all nations, an offering to Jehovah, on horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and on mules, and on camels, to My holy mountain Jerusalem, says Jehovah; as the sons of Israel bring the offering in a clean vessel to the house of Jehovah. ²¹ And I will also take some of them for the priests, for the Levites, says Jehovah.

⁴ Do not trust yourself to lying words, saying, The temple of Jehovah! The temple of Jehovah! This is the temple of Jehovah! ⁵ For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings; if you truly practice justice between a man and his neighbor; ⁶ if you do not oppress the stranger, the orphan, and the widow; and do not shed innocent blood in this place, or walk after other gods to your hurt; ⁷ then I will let you dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, from forever and to forever. ⁸ Behold, you trust for yourself on lying words without being of use. ⁹ Will you steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense to Baal, and walk after other gods whom you do not know? ¹⁰ And will you then come and stand before Me in this house on which My name is called, and say, We are delivered in order to do all those detestable things. ¹¹ Has this house on which My name is called become a den of violent ones in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen, declares Jehovah. ¹² But go now to My place which was in Shiloh, where I made My name dwell at the first, and see what I did to it for the evil of My people Israel. ¹³ And now, because you have done all these works, says Jehovah, and I spoke to you, rising up early and speaking, but you did not hear. Yea, I called you, but you did not answer. ¹⁴ And I will do to the house on which My name is called, in which you are trusting, and to the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.

⁶ then I will make this house like Shiloh, and will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth. ⁷ And the priests and the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of Jehovah. ⁸ And it happened when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking all that Jehovah had commanded him to speak to all the people, the priests and the prophets and all the people seized him, saying, You shall surely die. ⁹ Why have you prophesied in the name of Jehovah, saying, This house shall be like Shiloh, and this city shall be wasted, without inhabitant? And all the people were gathered against Jeremiah in the house of Jehovah.

¹² Then Jeremiah spoke to all the rulers and to all the people, saying, Jehovah sent me to prophesy against this house and against this city all the words that you have heard.

¹⁸ Micah of Moresheth prophesied in the days of Hezekiah, king of Judah. And he spoke to all the people of Judah, saying, So says Jehovah of Hosts: Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house like the high places of a forest.

²⁶ And after sixty two weeks, Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself. And the people of a coming prince shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end shall be with the flood, and ruins are determined, and war shall be until the end.

⁴ For the sons of Israel shall stay many days with no king and no ruler, and with no sacrifice, and no pillars, and no ephod or teraphim.

¹² Therefore, on account of you, Zion shall be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house into high places of the forest.

¹ Open your doors, O Lebanon, so that the fire may devour your cedars.

² For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem. And the city shall be captured, and the houses plundered, and the women ravished. And half the city shall go into exile and the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

¹ And going out, Jesus left the temple. And His disciples came to show Him the buildings of the temple. ² But Jesus said to them, Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, There will not at all be left one stone on a stone which in no way will not be thrown down.

⁶¹ said, This one said, I am able to destroy the Holy Place of God, and in three days to build it.

⁵⁸ We heard Him saying, I will throw down this temple made with hands, and through three days I will build another not made with hands.

³⁴ Jerusalem! Jerusalem! The one killing the prophets, and stoning those having been sent to her, how often I desired to gather your children in the way a hen gathers her brood under the wings, and you did not desire it . ³⁵ Behold, "your house is left" to you "desolate". Jer. 22:5 And truly I say to you, You shall not at all see Me until it come when you say, "Blessed is the One coming in the name of the Lord." Psa. 118:26

⁶ As to these things that you see, days will come in which a stone will not be left on a stone, which will not be thrown down.

²⁴ And they will fall by the mouth of the sword and will be led captive to all the nations. And Jerusalem will be trodden down by nations, until the times of the nations are fulfilled.

²¹ Jesus said to her, Woman, believe Me that an hour is coming when you will worship the Father neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem.

¹ And going down from Judea, some taught the brothers, saying, If you are not circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.

²¹ And they were informed about you, that you teach falling away from Moses, telling all the Jews throughout the nations not to circumcise their children, nor to walk in the customs.

³ you being most of all expert, knowing of all the customs and questions also among the Jews. Because of this, I beg you patiently to hear me.

¹⁷ And after three days, it happened that Paul called together those being chief of the Jews. And they coming together, he said to them, Men, brothers, I did nothing contrary to the people, or to the ancestral customs. I was delivered a prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans,

¹⁹ Why the Law then? It was added because of transgressions, until the Seed should come, to whom it had been promised, being ordained through angels in a mediator's hand.

²³ But before the coming of faith, we were guarded under law, having been locked up to the faith being about to be revealed.

³ So we also, when we were infants, we were under the elements of the world, being enslaved. ⁴ But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, having come into being out of a woman, having come under Law, ⁵ that He might redeem the ones under law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

¹¹ Truly, then, if perfection was through the Levitical priestly office (for the people had been given Law under it), why yet need for another priest to arise according to the order of Melchizedek and not to be called according to the order of Aaron? ¹² For the priestly office having been changed, of necessity a change of law also occurs. ¹³ For the One of whom these things are said has partaken of another tribe, from which no one has given devotion at the altar. ¹⁴ For it is clear that our Lord has risen out of Judah, as to which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood. ¹⁵ And it is still more abundantly clear that if another priest arises according to the likeness of Melchizedek, ¹⁶ who has not become so according to a law of a fleshly command, but according to the power of an indissoluble life. ¹⁷ For it is testified, "You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek." Psa. 110:4 ¹⁸ For a voiding of the preceding command comes about because of its weakness and unprofitableness. ¹⁹ For the Law perfected nothing, but a bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.

⁶ But now He has gotten a more excellent ministry, also by so much as He is a Mediator of a better covenant, which has been enacted on better promises. ⁷ For if that first was faultless, place would not have been sought for a second. ⁸ For finding fault, He said to them, "Behold, days are coming, says the Lord, and I will make an end on the house of Israel and on the house of Judah; a new covenant shall be, ⁹ not according to the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day of My taking hold of their hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I did not regard them, says the Lord. ¹⁰ Because this is the covenant which I will covenant with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord, giving My laws into their mind, and I will write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people." ¹¹ "And they shall no more teach each one his neighbor, and each one his brother, saying, Know the Lord; because all shall know Me, from the least of them to their great ones. ¹² For I will be merciful to their unrighteousnesses, and I will not at all remember their sins and their lawless deeds." LXX-Jer. 38:31-34; MT-Jer. 31:31-34 ¹³ In the saying, New, He has made the first old. And the thing having been made old and growing aged is near disappearing.

⁹ which was a parable for the present time, according to which both gifts and sacrifices are offered, but as regards conscience, not being able to perfect the one serving, ¹⁰ but only on foods and drinks, and various washings, and fleshly ordinances, until the time of setting things right has been imposed. ¹¹ But Christ having appeared as a High Priest of the coming good things, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation,

¹ For the Law had a shadow of the coming good things, not the image itself of those things. Appearing year by year with the same sacrifices, which they offer continually, they never are able to perfect the ones drawing near. ² Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, because those serving did not still have conscience of sins, having once for all been cleansed? ³ But in these there is a remembrance of sins year by year, ⁴ for it is not possible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. ⁵ For this reason, coming into the world, He says, "Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but You prepared a body for Me. ⁶ You did not delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices concerning sins." ⁷ "Then I said, Lo, I come, in the heading of the Book, it was written concerning Me, to do Your will, O God." LXX-Psa. 39:7 -9; MT-Psa. 40:6 -8 ⁸ Above, saying, "You did not desire nor were pleased with sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and sacrifices concerning sins," (which are offered according to the Law), ⁹ then He said, "Lo, I come to do Your will, O God." He takes away the first in order that He may set up the second; ¹⁰ by which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. ¹¹ And indeed every priest stands day by day ministering, and often offering the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. ¹² But He, offering but one sacrifice for sins, "sat down" in perpetuity " at the right hand " of God, ¹³ from then on expecting "until His enemies are placed as a footstool" of His feet. Psa. 110:1 ¹⁴ For by one offering He has perfected in perpetuity the ones being sanctified. ¹⁵ And the Holy Spirit witnesses to us also. For after having said before, ¹⁶ "This is the covenant which I will covenant to them after those days, says the Lord: Giving My laws on their hearts, and I will write them on their minds;" ¹⁷ also He adds, "I will not at all still remember their sins" and their lawless deeds. LXX-Jer. 38:33, 34 MT-Jer. 31:33, 34 ¹⁸ But where remission of these is, there is no longer offering concerning sins.

²⁶ whose voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying, "Yet once" "I will shake not only the earth, but also the heavens." Hag. 2:6 ²⁷ Now the words "Yet once" make clear the removal of the things being shaken, as having been made, so that the things not being shaken may remain. ²⁸ For this reason, receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us have grace, by which we may serve God pleasingly, with reverence and awe;

²⁹ And it happened as Moses was going down from Mount Sinai, the two tablets of the testimony being in Moses' hand as he went down from the mountain, Moses did not know that the skin of his face had become luminous through His speaking with him. ³⁰ And Aaron and all the sons of Israel saw Moses. And, behold! The skin of his face had become luminous. And they were afraid to draw near to him. ³¹ And Moses called to them. And Aaron and all the leaders among the congregation turned back to him. And Moses spoke to them. ³² And afterwards all the sons of Israel drew near. And he commanded them all which Jehovah had spoken with him in Mount Sinai. ³³ And Moses finished speaking with them, and he put a veil on his face. ³⁴ And as Moses came in before Jehovah to speak with Him, he took off the veil until he went out. And he would go out and speak to the sons of Israel that which he was commanded. ³⁵ And the sons of Israel would see the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face had become luminous. And Moses would put back the veil on his face until he went in to speak with Him.

¹ Who is as the wise? And who knows the meaning of a thing? A man's wisdom makes his face shine, and the strength of his face is changed.

⁴³ Then the righteous will shine out like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. The one having ears to hear, let him hear.

² And He was transfigured before them, and His face shone like the sun, and His clothing became white as the light.

⁷ But if the ministry of death having been engraved in letters in stone was with glory, so as the sons of Israel could not gaze into "the face of Moses" because of the glory of his face, which was to cease, Ex. 34:34 ⁸ how much rather the ministry of the Spirit will be in glory!

¹⁸ But we all with our face having been unveiled, having beheld the glory of the Lord in a mirror, are being changed into the same image from glory to glory, as from the Lord Spirit.
