³⁴ The wife and the virgin are different. The unmarried one cares for the things of the Lord, that she be holy in both body and spirit. But the married one cares for the things of the world, how to please the husband.

³⁶ And there was Anna, a prophetess, a daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was advanced in many days, having lived seven years with a husband from her virginity; ³⁷ and she was a widow of eighty four years, who did not depart from the temple, serving night and day with fastings and prayers.

⁴⁰ But Martha was distracted about much serving. And coming on she said, Lord, Is it not a care to You that my sister left me alone to serve? Then tell her that she should help me. ⁴¹ But answering Jesus said to her, Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, ⁴² But there is need of only one; and Mary chose the good part, which shall not be taken from her.

¹³ Neither present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as one living from the dead, and your members instruments of righteousness to God.

¹ Therefore, brothers, I call on you through the compassions of God to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service. ² And be not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is the good and pleasing and perfect will of God.

²⁰ You were bought with a price; then glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are of God.

¹¹ For behold this same thing, you being grieved according to God, how much it worked out earnestness in you, but also defense, but also indignation, but also fear, but also desire, but also zeal, but also vengeance! In everything you commended yourselves to be clear in the matter. ¹² Then even if I wrote to you, it was not for the sake of him who did wrong, nor for the sake of him having suffered wrong, but for the sake of revealing our earnestness on your behalf, for you before God.

¹⁶ But thanks be to God, who gives the same earnestness for you in the heart of Titus.

²⁸ besides the things outside conspiring against me day by day, the care of all the churches.

²⁰ according to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but as always in all boldness even now Christ will be magnified in my body, whether through life or through death.

²³ And may the God of peace Himself fully sanctify you, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁵ But if anyone does not know to rule his own house, how will he care for a church of God?

⁸ Faithful is the Word, and concerning these things I desire you strongly to affirm that the ones believing God should take thought to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.
