⁶ But we speak wisdom among the perfect, but not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, those being brought to nothing.

¹ There was a man in the land of Uz, his name was Job. And this man was perfect and upright, and fearing God, and turning away from evil.

¹⁹ making priests walk away stripped; and He overthrows the mighty;

²¹ He pours scorn on nobles, and He unties the belt of the mighty;

¹ Why have the nations raged and the peoples are meditating on vanity? ² The kings of the earth set themselves; yea, the rulers have plotted together against Jehovah and His anointed, saying, ³ We will break their bands in two, and throw off their cords from us. ⁴ He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; Jehovah shall mock at them. ⁵ Then He will speak to them in His anger, and He will terrify them in His wrath; ⁶ Yea, I have set My king on My holy mount on Zion.

¹⁰ Jehovah brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He frustrates the plans of the peoples.

³⁷ Watch the perfect and behold the upright one; for the end of that man is peace.

¹¹ Surely the rulers of Zoan are fools; the advice of Pharaoh's wise counselors has become stupid. How can you say to Pharaoh, I am the son of wise ones, the son of kings of old? ¹² Where are your wise ones now? Yea, let them tell you now, that they may know what Jehovah of Hosts has planned against Egypt. ¹³ The rulers of Zoan are fools; the rulers of Noph are deceived; they also have led Egypt astray, the cornerstone of her tribes.

²³ who gives potentates into nothing. He makes judges of the earth as nothing.

⁴⁸ Therefore, you be perfect even as your Father in Heaven is perfect.

²² And that sown into the thorns is this: the one hearing the Word, and the anxiety of this age, and the deceit of riches, choke the Word, and it becomes unfruitful.

²¹ Jesus said to him, If you desire to be perfect, go sell your property and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in Heaven; and come, follow Me.

⁸ And the lord praised the unrighteous steward, because he acted prudently. For the sons of this age are more prudent than the sons of light themselves are in their generation.

²⁵ who through the mouth of Your servant David said, "Why did the nations rage, and the people meditated foolish things. ²⁶ The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were assembled on the same day against the Lord, yea, against His Christ." Psa. 2:1, 2 ²⁷ For truly both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the nations and the peoples of Israel, were gathered together against Your holy child Jesus, whom You anointed, ²⁸ to do whatever Your hand and Your counsel before-determined to be done.

¹⁸ For the word of the cross is foolishness to those being lost, but to us being saved, it is the power of God. ¹⁹ For it has been written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will set aside the understanding of the understanding ones." Isa. 29:14 ²⁰ Where is the wise? Where the scribe? Where the lawyer of this world? Did God not make the wisdom of this world foolish?

²⁸ And God chose the low-born of the world, and the despised, and the things that are not, so that He might bring to nothing the things that are,

¹ And when I came to you, brothers, I did not come with excellency of word or wisdom, declaring to you the testimony of God.

⁸ which none of the rulers of this age has known. For if they had known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory;

¹³ Which things we also speak, not in words taught in human wisdom, but in words taught of the Holy Spirit, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things .

²⁰ Brothers, do not be children in your minds, but in malice be like infants, and in your minds be mature.

¹² For our glorying is this, the testimony of our conscience, that we had our conduct in the world in simplicity and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom, but in the grace of God, and more abundantly toward you.

⁴ in whom the god of this age has blinded the thoughts of the unbelieving, so that the brightness of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them.

¹¹ For the rest, brothers, rejoice! Perfect yourselves; encourage yourselves, mind the same thing, be at peace; and the God of love and of peace will be with you.

² in which you then walked according to the course of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit now working in the sons of disobedience,

¹¹ And indeed He gave some to be apostles; and some prophets; and some evangelists; and some pastors and teachers; ¹² with a view to the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ, ¹³ until we all may come to the unity of the faith and of the full knowledge of the Son of God, to a full-grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,

¹² Not that I already received or already have been perfected, but I press on, if I also may lay hold, inasmuch as I also was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. ¹³ Brothers, I do not count myself to have laid hold, but one thing I do, forgetting the things behind, and stretching forward to those things before, ¹⁴ I press on after the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. ¹⁵ Then as many as are perfect, let us be of this mind; and if you think anything differently, God will also reveal this to you.

¹² Epaphras greets you, he of you, a slave of Christ, always striving for you in prayers, that you may stand full-grown and being complete in every will of God.

¹⁴ But solid food is for those full grown, having exercised the faculties through habit, for distinction of both good and bad.

² For we all stumble in many ways . If any one does not stumble in word, this one is a mature man, able also to bridle the whole body.

¹⁵ This is not the wisdom coming down from above, but is earthly, beastly, devilish.

¹⁰ Now the God of all grace, the One calling you to His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, you having suffered a little, He Himself will perfect, confirm, strengthen, establish you .
