A Psalm of David.] My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning? ² O my God, I cry in the daytime, but you hear not; and in the night season, and am not silent. ³ But you are holy, O you that inhabit the praises of Israel. ⁴ Our fathers trusted in you: they trusted, and you did deliver them. ⁵ They cried unto you, and were delivered: they trusted in you, and were not disappointed. ⁶ But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people. ⁷ All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, ⁸ He trusted in the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him. ⁹ But you are he that took me out of the womb: you did make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts. ¹⁰ I was cast upon you from birth: you are my God from my mother's womb. ¹¹ Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help. ¹² Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round about. ¹³ They gaped on me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion. ¹⁴ I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my body. ¹⁵ My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue clings to my jaws; and you have brought me to the dust of death. ¹⁶ For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. ¹⁷ I can count all my bones: they look and stare upon me. ¹⁸ They part my garments among them, and cast lots for my clothing. ¹⁹ But be not far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste you to help me. ²⁰ Deliver my soul from the sword; my life from the power of the dog. ²¹ Save me from the lion's mouth: for you have heard me from the horns of the wild oxen. ²² I will declare your name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise you. ²³ You that fear the LORD, praise him; all you descendants of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all you descendants of Israel. ²⁴ For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither has he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard. ²⁵ My praise shall be of you in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him. ²⁶ The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live forever. ²⁷ All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before you. ²⁸ For the kingdom is the LORD'S: and he is the governor among the nations. ²⁹ All the prosperous of earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul. ³⁰ A posterity shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation. ³¹ They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he has done this.

²² For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because it has pleased the LORD to make you his people.

²⁴ For my sighing comes before I eat, and my groanings are poured out like the waters.

¹ Why stand you afar off, O LORD? why hide you yourself in times of trouble?

¹ [A miktam of David.] Preserve me, O God: for in you do I put my trust.

¹¹ Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.

¹⁶ For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

⁹ Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:

¹⁴ But I trusted in you, O LORD: I said, you are my God. ¹⁵ My times are in your hand: deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from them that persecute me. ¹⁶ Make your face to shine upon your servant: save me for your mercies' sake.

³ When I kept silence, my bones grew old through my groaning all the day long. ⁴ For day and night your hand was heavy upon me: my strength is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.

²⁸ For the LORD loves justice, and forsakes not his saints; they are preserved forever: but the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.

⁸ I am feeble and utterly broken: I have groaned by reason of the turmoil of my heart.

¹ [To the Chief Musician. A maschil, for the Sons of Korah.] As the hart pants after the water brooks, so pants my soul after you, O God. ² My soul thirsts for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?

¹ Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man. ² For you are the God of my strength: why do you cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? ³ O send out your light and your truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto your holy hill, and to your tabernacles. ⁴ Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise you, O God my God. ⁵ Why are you cast down, O my soul? and why are you disturbed within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

¹¹ Saying, God has forsaken him: persecute and take him; for there is none to deliver him.

¹³ I bring near my righteousness: it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.

¹¹ We all growl like bears, and mourn greatly like doves: we look for justice, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.

⁴⁶ And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?

³⁴ And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?

⁴⁴ And being in agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

⁴⁴ And he said unto them, These are the words which I spoke unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

⁷ Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

⁵ Let your conduct be without covetousness; and be content with such things as you have: for he has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you.

³ My tears have been my food day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is your God?

¹⁶ As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me. ¹⁷ Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

⁴ O LORD God of hosts, how long will you be angry against the prayer of your people?

⁸ Also when I cry and shout, he shuts out my prayer.

⁴⁴ You have covered yourself with a cloud, that our prayer should not pass through.

⁴⁴ And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

¹² And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

⁷ And shall not God avenge his own elect, who cry day and night unto him, though he bears long with them?

⁴¹ And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, ⁴² Saying, Father, if you be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but yours, be done. ⁴³ And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. ⁴⁴ And being in agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. ⁴⁵ And when he rose up from prayer, and came to his disciples, he found them sleeping from the grief, ⁴⁶ And said unto them, Why sleep you? rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation.

¹⁰ Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

³ I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of you in my prayers night and day;

²¹ He is your praise, and he is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome things, which your eyes have seen.

²³ Whoever offers praise glorifies me: and to him that orders his conduct aright will I show the salvation of God.

¹ [To the Chief Musician. A Psalm and Song of David.] Praise waits for you, O God, in Zion: and unto you shall the vow be performed.

⁹ Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.

¹⁷ The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

³ And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

⁸ And the four living creatures had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.

⁶ And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

⁹ And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the LORD who said unto me, Return unto your country, and to your kindred, and I will deal well with you: ¹⁰ I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which you have showed unto your servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I have become two bands. ¹¹ Deliver me, I pray you, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau: for I fear him, lest he will come and smite me, and the mother with the children. ¹² And you said, I will surely do you good, and make your descendants as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.

²⁸ And he said, Your name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince have you power with God and with men, and have prevailed.

¹³ And Moses said unto the people, Fear not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will show to you today: for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you shall see them again no more forever. ¹⁴ The LORD shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.

³¹ And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses.

⁹ And Samuel took a sucking lamb, and offered it for a whole burnt offering unto the LORD: and Samuel cried unto the LORD for Israel; and the LORD heard him. ¹⁰ And as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel: but the LORD thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and brought confusion upon them; and they were routed before Israel. ¹¹ And the men of Israel went out of Mizpah, and pursued the Philistines, and slaughtered them, until they came below Bethcar. ¹² Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpah and Shen, and called the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Thus far has the LORD helped us.

¹ [To the Chief Musician for the Sons of Korah, a maschil.] We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work you did in their days, in the times of old. ² How you did drive out the nations with your hand, and planted them; how you did afflict the people, and cast them out. ³ For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but your right hand, and your arm, and the light of your countenance, because you had favor unto them. ⁴ You are my King, O God: command deliverances for Jacob. ⁵ Through you will we push down our enemies: through your name will we tread them under that rise up against us. ⁶ For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me. ⁷ But you have saved us from our enemies, and have put them to shame that hated us.

¹⁸ Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall your descendants be. ¹⁹ And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body as now dead, when he was about a hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb: ²⁰ He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; ²¹ And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. ²² And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

⁸ By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should later receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing where he went. ⁹ By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: ¹⁰ For he looked for a city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. ¹¹ Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. ¹² Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the seashore innumerable. ¹³ These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. ¹⁴ For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. ¹⁵ And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from which they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. ¹⁶ But now they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly: therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he has prepared for them a city. ¹⁷ By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son. ¹⁸ Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall your descendants be called: ¹⁹ Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from which also he received him in a figure. ²⁰ By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come. ²¹ By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshiped, leaning upon the top of his staff. ²² By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones. ²³ By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment. ²⁴ By faith Moses, when he was grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; ²⁵ Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a time; ²⁶ Esteeming the reproach of the Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he looked for the recompense of the reward. ²⁷ By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. ²⁸ Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them. ²⁹ By faith they passed through the Red sea as on dry land: which the Egyptians attempting to do were drowned. ³⁰ By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were encircled seven days. ³¹ By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace. ³² And what shall I say more? for the time would fail me to tell of Gideon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthah; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:

³ And the children of Israel cried unto the LORD: for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and for twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel.

⁶ And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the LORD.

¹⁰ And the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, saying, We have sinned against you, both because we have forsaken our God, and also served Baalim. ¹¹ And the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Did not I deliver you from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines? ¹² The Zidonians also, and the Amalekites, and the Maonites, did oppress you; and you cried to me, and I delivered you out of their hand. ¹³ Yet you have forsaken me, and served other gods: therefore I will deliver you no more. ¹⁴ Go and cry unto the gods which you have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your distress. ¹⁵ And the children of Israel said unto the LORD, We have sinned: do you unto us whatsoever seems good unto you; deliver us only, we pray you, this day. ¹⁶ And they put away the foreign gods from among them, and served the LORD: and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.

² O my God, I trust in you: let me not be ashamed, let not my enemies triumph over me. ³ Yea, let none that wait on you be ashamed: let them be ashamed who transgress without cause.

⁶ Let not them that wait on you, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek you be disgraced for my sake, O God of Israel. ⁷ Because for your sake I have borne reproach; shame has covered my face.

¹ In you, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.

⁶ Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them. ⁷ He spoke unto them in the pillar of cloud: they kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them.

⁴⁴ Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry:

¹⁷ But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: you shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.

²³ And kings shall be your nursing fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers: they shall bow down to you with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of your feet; and you shall know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.

³³ As it is written, Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense: and whosoever believes on him shall not be ashamed.

¹¹ For the scripture says, Whosoever believes on him shall not be ashamed.

⁶ Therefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be confounded.

⁶ How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, who is a worm?

¹¹ I was a reproach among all my enemies, but especially among my neighbors, and a horror to my acquaintance: they that did see me outside fled from me.

⁷ Because for your sake I have borne reproach; shame has covered my face. ⁸ I have become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother’s children. ⁹ For the zeal of your house has eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached you are fallen upon me. ¹⁰ When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach. ¹¹ I made sackcloth also my garment; and I became a proverb to them. ¹² They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards.

¹⁹ You have known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonor: my adversaries are all before you. ²⁰ Reproach has broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.

⁸ You have put away my acquaintance far from me; you have made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.

¹⁴ Fear not, you worm Jacob, and you men of Israel; I will help you, says the LORD, and your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

⁷ Thus says the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despises, to him whom the nation abhors, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD who is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he has chosen you.

³ He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

³⁰ He gives his cheek to him that strikes him: he is filled full with reproach.

¹⁹ The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.

²⁴ But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow does not cast out demons, but by Beelzebub the prince of the demons.

²⁰ But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask for Barabbas, and destroy Jesus. ²¹ The governor answered and said unto them, Which of the two will you that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas. ²² Pilate said unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus who is called Christ? They all said unto him, Let him be crucified. ²³ And the governor said, Why, what evil has he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.

¹⁵ And the Jews marveled, saying, How knows this man letters, having never learned?

²⁰ The people answered and said, You have a demon: who goes about to kill you?

⁴⁷ Then answered them the Pharisees, Are you also deceived? ⁴⁸ Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him? ⁴⁹ But this people who know not the law are cursed.

⁴⁸ Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that you are a Samaritan, and have a demon?

¹² Therefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate.

³ And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are your works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are your ways, you King of saints.

⁴ I also could speak as you do: if your soul were in my soul’s place, I could heap up words against you, and shake my head at you.

¹⁰ They have gaped upon me with their mouth; they have smitten me upon the cheek reproachfully; they have gathered themselves together against me.

⁹ And now am I their song, yea, I am their byword. ¹⁰ They abhor me, they flee far from me, and hesitate not to spit in my face. ¹¹ Because he has loosed my cord, and afflicted me, they have also cast off restraint before me.

¹⁸ Let the lying lips be put to silence; who speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

¹⁵ But in my adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: yea, the attackers gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me, and ceased not: ¹⁶ With hypocritical mockers at feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.

¹⁴ You make us a byword among the nations, a shaking of the head among the people.

²⁵ I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shook their heads.

²² This is the word which the LORD has spoken concerning him; The virgin, the daughter of Zion, has despised you, and laughed you to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem has shaken her head at you. ²³ Whom have you reproached and blasphemed? and against whom have you exalted your voice, and lifted up your eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel.

⁴ Against whom do you make sport? against whom do you open your mouth wide, and stick out the tongue? are you not children of transgression, offspring of falsehood,

²⁴ He said unto them, Depart: for the girl is not dead, but sleeps. And they laughed him to scorn.

⁶⁶ What think you? They answered and said, He is guilty of death. ⁶⁷ Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others struck him with the palms of their hands, ⁶⁸ Saying, Prophesy unto us, you Christ, Who is he that struck you?

²⁹ And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

³⁹ And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads, ⁴⁰ And saying, You that destroy the temple, and build it in three days, save yourself. If you be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

²⁹ And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things. ³⁰ The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me. ³¹ And they reasoned among themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did you not believe him? ³² But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.

²⁰ And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him.

²⁹ And they that passed by derided him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, you that destroy the temple, and build it in three days,

¹⁴ And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.

¹¹ And Herod with his men of war despised him, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.

³⁵ And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he is Christ, the chosen of God. ³⁶ And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar, ³⁷ And saying, If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself. ³⁸ And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS. ³⁹ And one of the malefactors who were hanged railed at him, saying, If you are Christ, save yourself and us.

¹ [A Psalm of David when he fled from Absalom his son.] LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me. ² Many there be who say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.

¹⁹ He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.

⁵ Commit your way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

¹⁰ As with a sword in my bones, my enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is your God?

²² Cast your burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain you: he shall never permit the righteous to be moved.

¹⁴ Because he has set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he has known my name.

³ Commit your works unto the LORD, and your thoughts shall be established.

¹ Behold my servant, whom I uphold; my elect, in whom my soul delights; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth justice to the Gentiles.

¹⁷ And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

¹⁸ Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall show justice to the Gentiles.

⁵ While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear you him.

⁴² He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him. ⁴³ He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

³⁰ Save yourself, and come down from the cross. ³¹ Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save. ³² Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.

³⁵ And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he is Christ, the chosen of God.

⁶ By you have I been upheld from birth: you are he that took me out of my mother's womb: my praise shall be continually of you.

¹⁷ O God, you have taught me from my youth: and to this day have I declared your wondrous works.

¹⁵ My frame was not hid from you, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. ¹⁶ Your eyes did see my substance, being yet unformed; and in your book they were all written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.

¹⁴ Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. ¹⁵ Curds and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.

⁶ For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

¹ Listen, O coastlands, unto me; and hearken, you people, from afar; The LORD has called me from the womb; from the body of my mother has he made mention of my name. ² And he has made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand has he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver has he hid me;

⁴ And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to be delivered, to devour her child as soon as it was born. ⁵ And she brought forth a male child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

³ Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, who are borne by me from birth, who are carried from the womb: ⁴ And even to your old age I am he; and even to gray hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.

¹⁵ But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,

³⁶ For the LORD shall judge his people, and have compassion on his servants, when he sees that their power is gone, and there is none left, slave or free.

²⁶ For the LORD saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter: for there was not any, bond nor free left, nor any helper for Israel.

³² Behold, the hour comes, yea, is now come, that you shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

¹⁴ Curds of the cattle, and milk of the flock, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the finest of the wheat; and you did drink the pure blood of the grape. ¹⁵ But Jeshurun grew fat, and kicked: you are grown fat, you are grown thick, you are covered with fatness; then he forsook God who made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.

³⁰ Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the people, till every one submits himself with pieces of silver: scatter you the people that delight in war.

⁷ And the wild oxen shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness.

¹¹ Because you were glad, because you rejoiced, O you destroyers of my heritage, because you have grown fat like a heifer threshing grain, and bellow like bulls;

¹⁸ You shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.

¹ Hear this word, you cows of Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, who oppress the poor, who crush the needy, who say to their masters, Bring, and let us drink. ² The Lord GOD has sworn by his holiness: Lo, the days shall come upon you, that he will take you away with hooks, and your posterity with fishhooks. ³ And you shall go out through the breaches, every cow straight before her; and you shall cast them into the palace, says the LORD.

¹ When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:

²⁷ For of a truth against your holy child Jesus, whom you have anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

² Lest they tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.

¹² Like as a lion that is greedy of its prey, and as it were a young lion lurking in secret places.

⁷ All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

²¹ Save me from the lion's mouth: for you have heard me from the horns of the wild oxen.

¹⁷ Lord, how long will you look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my precious life from the lions.

²¹ Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me, and said, Aha, aha, our eye has seen it.

¹⁶ All your enemies have opened their mouth against you: they hiss and gnash the teeth: they say, We have swallowed her up: certainly this is the day that we looked for; we have found, we have seen it.

⁴⁶ All our enemies have opened their mouths against us.

²⁷ Her princes in her midst are like wolves tearing the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain. ²⁸ And her prophets have daubed them with untempered mortar, seeing false visions, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus says the Lord GOD, when the LORD has not spoken.

³ Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, ⁴ And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtlety, and kill him.

⁵⁹ Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death; ⁶⁰ But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses, ⁶¹ And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days. ⁶² And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answer you nothing? what is it which these witness against you? ⁶³ But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure you by the living God, that you tell us whether you be the Christ, the Son of God. ⁶⁴ Jesus said unto him, You have said so: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall you see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. ⁶⁵ Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying, He has spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now you have heard his blasphemy.

⁸ Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour:

⁵ And the men of Ai struck of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and struck them on the descent: therefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water.

¹⁶ For God makes my heart soft, and the Almighty troubles me:

¹⁶ And now my soul is poured out upon me; the days of affliction have taken hold upon me.

¹⁷ I can count all my bones: they look and stare upon me.

¹⁰ For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my strength fails because of my iniquity, and my bones are consumed.

² As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

⁶ Then the king's countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his hips were loosened, and his knees struck one against another.

¹⁰ She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melts, and the knees strike together, and much pain is on all sides, and the faces of them all grow pale.

³⁸ Then said he unto them, My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even unto death: tarry you here, and watch with me.

³³ And he took with him Peter and James and John, and began to be greatly distressed, and to be very troubled; ³⁴ And said unto them, My soul is exceedingly sorrowful unto death: tarry you here, and watch.

²⁷ Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.

¹⁹ In the sweat of your face shall you eat bread, till you return unto the ground; for out of it were you taken: for dust you are, and unto dust shall you return.

²⁷ And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, who am but dust and ashes:

²¹ And why do you not pardon my transgression, and take away my iniquity? for now shall I sleep in the dust; and you shall seek me in the morning, but I shall not be.

⁹ Remember, I beseech you, that you have made me as the clay; and will you bring me into dust again?

¹⁰ The nobles held their peace, and their tongue cleaved to the roof of their mouth.

¹⁵ All flesh would perish together, and man would turn again unto dust.

⁹ What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise you? shall it declare your truth?

¹⁰ My heart pants, my strength fails me: as for the light of my eyes, it also is gone from me.

³ I am weary from my crying: my throat is dried: my eyes fail while I wait for my God.

²¹ They gave me also gall for my food; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

²⁹ You hide your face, they are troubled: you take away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.

²² A merry heart does good like a medicine: but a broken spirit dries the bones.

¹² Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he has poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

⁴ The tongue of the nursing child clings to the roof of his mouth for thirst: the young children ask bread, and no man breaks it unto them.

² And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

⁵⁰ Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up his spirit.

²⁸ After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, said, I thirst.

³ For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

⁵⁷ And they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.

³⁵ And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and for my clothing did they cast lots.

⁴ Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man. ⁵ And they were the more urgent, saying, He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee to this place.

¹⁰ And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him. ¹¹ And Herod with his men of war despised him, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.

²³ And they were urgent with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.

³³ And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.

²³ Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.

³⁴ But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and immediately came there out blood and water.

³⁷ And again another scripture says, They shall look on him whom they pierced.

²⁵ The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

²⁷ Then said he to Thomas, Reach here your finger, and behold my hands; and reach here your hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

² Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the mutilators.

¹⁵ For outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and fornicators, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loves and makes a lie.

²¹ His flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen; and his bones that were not seen now stick out.

³ For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as a hearth. ⁴ My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread. ⁵ Because of the voice of my groaning my bones cling to my skin.

¹⁴ As many were astonished at you; so his appearance was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:

¹³ Arise, O LORD, confront him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, by your sword:

⁷ Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is close to me, says the LORD of hosts: strike the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn my hand against the little ones.

²² God brought them out of Egypt; he has as it were the strength of a wild ox.

¹⁷ His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of a wild ox: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.

⁹ Will the wild ox be willing to serve you, or abide by your crib? ¹⁰ Can you bind the wild ox with ropes in the furrow? or will he plow the valleys behind you?

⁵³ When I was daily with you in the temple, you stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.

⁵⁹ Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

³⁰ Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world comes, and has nothing in me.

³⁰ The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you slew and hanged on a tree. ³¹ Him has God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. ³² And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to them that obey him.

¹⁷ However the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

²⁵ My praise shall be of you in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

⁹ I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not restrained my lips, O LORD, you know. ¹⁰ I have not hid your righteousness within my heart; I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation: I have not concealed your lovingkindness and your truth from the great congregation.

¹⁸ Now also when I am old and gray headed, O God, forsake me not; until I have showed your strength unto this generation, and your power to every one that is to come. ¹⁹ Your righteousness also, O God, is very high, who has done great things: O God, who is like unto you!

⁴⁸ But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brothers? ⁴⁹ And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brothers!

⁴⁰ And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Since you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.

¹⁰ Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

²⁵ Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill? ²⁶ But, lo, he speaks boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?

²⁹ For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

¹¹ For both he that sanctifies and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, ¹² Saying, I will declare your name unto my brethren, in the midst of the congregation will I sing praise unto you.

⁸ Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. ⁹ Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk you of all his wondrous works. ¹⁰ Glory you in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. ¹¹ Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually. ¹² Remember his marvelous works that he has done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; ¹³ O you descendants of Israel his servant, you children of Jacob, his chosen ones.

³⁰ A posterity shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.

⁸ Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

¹² I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify your name forevermore.

³ Glory in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. ⁴ Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. ⁵ Remember his marvelous works that he has done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; ⁶ O you offspring of Abraham his servant, you children of Jacob his chosen. ⁷ He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.

⁵ That I may see the good of your chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of your nation, that I may glory with your inheritance.

¹ O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endures forever. ² Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

¹¹ You that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.

¹³ He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great.

¹⁹ Bless the LORD, O house of Israel: bless the LORD, O house of Aaron: ²⁰ Bless the LORD, O house of Levi: you that fear the LORD, bless the LORD.

¹⁹ He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

³ Therefore shall the strong people glorify you, the city of the terrible nations shall fear you.

⁵⁰ And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.

²⁰ And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

¹⁹ What? know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have of God, and you are not your own? ²⁰ For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

³¹ Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatsoever you do, do all to the glory of God.

⁴ Who shall not fear you, O Lord, and glorify your name? for you only are holy: for all nations shall come and worship before you; for your judgments are made manifest.

² O my God, I cry in the daytime, but you hear not; and in the night season, and am not silent.

⁶ But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

⁶ This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

¹⁰ All my bones shall say, LORD, who is like unto you, who delivers the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that plunders him?

¹⁷ And hide not your face from your servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily.

²⁹ But I am poor and sorrowful: let your salvation, O God, set me up on high. ³⁰ I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving. ³¹ This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that has horns and hoofs. ³² The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your hearts shall live that seek God. ³³ For the LORD hears the poor, and despises not his prisoners. ³⁴ Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and every thing that moves therein.

³ The sorrows of death surrounded me, and the pangs of sheol got hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. ⁴ Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech you, deliver my soul. ⁵ Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful. ⁶ The LORD preserves the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.

⁵ I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a broad place.

⁶ I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked out the beard: I hid not my face from shame and spitting. ⁷ For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed. ⁸ He is near that justifies me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is my adversary? let him come near to me. ⁹ Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall grow old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.

⁴⁶ And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into your hands I commend my spirit: and having said this, he gave up the spirit.

²² I will declare your name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise you.

¹⁸ I will give you thanks in the great congregation: I will praise you among many people.

¹² Your vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto you.

¹³ I will go into your house with burnt offerings: I will pay you my vows,

¹⁶ Come and hear, all you that fear God, and I will declare what he has done for my soul.

¹ Praise you the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.

¹⁴ I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people. ¹⁵ Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. ¹⁶ O LORD, truly I am your servant; I am your servant, and the son of your handmaid: you have loosed my bonds. ¹⁷ I will offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD. ¹⁸ I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people, ¹⁹ In the courts of the LORD's house, in the midst of you, O Jerusalem. Praise you the LORD.

¹⁹ Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD: ²⁰ This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.

⁴ When you vow a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he has no pleasure in fools: pay that which you have vowed. ⁵ Better is it that you should not vow, than that you should vow and not pay.

¹¹ And this is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which he shall offer unto the LORD. ¹² If he offers it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mixed with oil, of fine flour, fried. ¹³ Besides the cakes, he shall offer for his offering leavened bread with the sacrifice of thanksgiving of his peace offerings. ¹⁴ And of it he shall offer one out of the whole offering for a heave offering unto the LORD, and it shall be the priest's that sprinkles the blood of the peace offerings. ¹⁵ And the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day that it is offered; he shall not leave any of it until the morning. ¹⁶ But if the sacrifice of his offering be a vow, or a voluntary offering, it shall be eaten the same day that he offers his sacrifice: and the next day also the remainder of it shall be eaten: ¹⁷ But the remainder of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burnt with fire.

¹⁶ Let all those that seek you rejoice and be glad in you: let such as love your salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.

³² The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your hearts shall live that seek God.

³ Glory in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. ⁴ Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

⁹ For he satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness.

⁶ And on this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of rich things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.

¹³ Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but you shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but you shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but you shall be ashamed:

¹⁴ But whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

⁴⁸ I am that bread of life. ⁴⁹ Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. ⁵⁰ This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. ⁵¹ I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. ⁵² The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? ⁵³ Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you have no life in you. ⁵⁴ Whosoever eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, has eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. ⁵⁵ For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. ⁵⁶ He that eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, dwells in me, and I in him. ⁵⁷ As the living Father has sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eats me, even he shall live by me. ⁵⁸ This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eats of this bread shall live forever.

⁸ Ask of me, and I shall give you the nations for your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession.

⁸ He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.

¹¹ Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.

⁹ All nations which you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord; and shall glorify your name.

⁷ Give unto the LORD, O you families of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.

³ He has remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

²² When the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.

¹ O Praise the LORD, all you nations: praise him, all you people.

²² Look unto me, and be you saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

⁸ Remember this, and show yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O you transgressors. ⁹ Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,

⁶ And he said, It is too small a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved ones of Israel: I will also give you for a light to the Gentiles, that you may be my salvation unto the ends of the earth.

¹² Behold, these shall come from afar: and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.

¹⁵ And saying, Sirs, why do you these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that you should turn from these vanities unto the living God, who made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are in them:

²¹ Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁸ To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them who are sanctified by faith that is in me. ¹⁹ Therefore, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision: ²⁰ But showed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the country of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works befitting repentance.

²⁶ But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

⁹ For they themselves show of us what manner of welcome we had unto you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;

⁹ After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and tribes, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; ¹⁰ And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God who sits upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. ¹¹ And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four living creatures, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshiped God, ¹² Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God forever and ever. Amen.

⁷ For God is the King of all the earth: sing you praises with understanding. ⁸ God reigns over the nations: God sits upon the throne of his holiness.

¹⁴ And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

²¹ And saviors shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mountains of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD'S.

⁹ And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

¹³ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

¹⁵ And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdom of this world has become the kingdom of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign forever and ever.

¹² And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall entreat your favor.

⁶ They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches; ⁷ None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him: ⁸ (For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceases forever:) ⁹ That he should still live forever, and not see corruption.

¹⁰ The kings of Tarshish and of the coasts shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts. ¹¹ Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.

⁷ Their eyes stand out with abundance: they have more than heart could wish.

³¹ The wrath of God came upon them, and slew the strongest of them, and struck down the chosen men of Israel.

⁷ He raises up the poor out of the dust, and lifts the needy out of the ash heap;

¹⁶ Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire.

¹⁹ Your dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, you that dwell in dust: for your dew is like the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

⁴ And you shall be brought down, and shall speak out of the ground, and your speech shall be low out of the dust, and your voice shall be, as of one that is a medium, out of the ground, and your speech shall whisper out of the dust.

²³ I have sworn by myself, the word has gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

³ And the Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. ⁴ Lift up your eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to you: your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be nursed at your side. ⁵ Then you shall see, and flow together, and your heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto you, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto you.

¹⁶ You shall also drink the milk of the Gentiles, and shall be nursed at the breast of kings: and you shall know that I the LORD am your Savior and your Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

⁹ O Israel, you have destroyed yourself; but in me is your help.

³⁶ He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him.

²⁵ Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: ²⁶ And whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?

¹⁰ But why do you judge your brother? or why do you despise your brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. ¹¹ For it is written, As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. ¹² So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

¹⁰ That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

¹² And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. ¹³ And the sea gave up the dead who were in it; and death and hades delivered up the dead who were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. ¹⁴ And death and hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. ¹⁵ And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

²⁴ And the nations of them who are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honor into it.

⁵ There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.

⁶ This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek your face, O Jacob. Selah.

¹⁵ If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I would have been untrue to the generation of your children.

⁶ The LORD shall count, when he registers the people, that this man was born there. Selah.

²⁸ The children of your servants shall continue, and their descendants shall be established before you.

¹⁰ Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he has put him to grief: when you shall make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his offspring, he shall prolong his days, and the will of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

⁹ And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham as our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

²⁶ For you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. ²⁷ For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. ²⁸ There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus. ²⁹ And if you are Christ's, then are you Abraham's descendants, and heirs according to the promise.

¹³ And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children whom God has given me.

⁹ But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:

⁹ I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not restrained my lips, O LORD, you know.

⁶ That the generation to come might know them, even the children who should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:

¹⁸ This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people who shall be created shall praise the LORD.

⁴ One generation shall praise your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts. ⁵ I will speak of the glorious honor of your majesty, and of your wondrous works. ⁶ And men shall speak of the might of your wondrous acts: and I will declare your greatness. ⁷ They shall abundantly utter the memory of your great goodness, and shall sing of your righteousness.

³ For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon your descendants, and my blessing upon your offspring: ⁴ And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the watercourses. ⁵ One shall say, I am the LORD's; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall write on his hand, The LORD’S, and surname himself by the name of Israel.

²¹ Then shall you say in your heart, Who has begotten for me these, since I have lost my children, and am desolate, a captive, and moving to and fro? and who has brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where had they been? ²² Thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up my hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring your sons in their arms, and your daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders. ²³ And kings shall be your nursing fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers: they shall bow down to you with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of your feet; and you shall know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.

¹ Sing, O barren, you that did not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you that did not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, says the LORD.

⁴ Lift up your eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to you: your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be nursed at your side.

⁷ Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. ⁸ Who has heard such a thing? who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. ⁹ Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? says the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? says your God.

¹⁷ For in it is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

²¹ But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; ²² Even the righteousness of God which is by faith in Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: ²³ For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; ²⁴ Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: ²⁵ Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

¹⁹ For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. ²⁰ Moreover the law entered, that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: ²¹ That as sin has reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

²¹ For he has made him, who knew no sin, to be sin for us; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
