³ Let not mercie and trueth forsake thee: binde them on thy necke, and write them vpon the table of thine heart.

⁹ And it shalbe a signe vnto thee vpon thine hande, and for a remembrance betweene thine eyes, that the Lawe of the Lord may be in thy mouth: for by a strong hand the Lord brought thee out of Egypt.

⁸ And thou shalt binde them for a signe vpon thine hand, and they shalbe as frontlets betweene thine eyes.

¹⁸ Therefore shall ye lay vp these my words in your heart and in your soule, and binde them for a signe vpon your hand, that they may be as a frontlet betweene your eyes, ¹⁹ And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them, whe thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest downe, and when thou risest vp. ²⁰ And thou shalt write them vpon the postes of thine house, and vpon thy gates, ²¹ That your daies may be multiplied, and the daies of your children, in ye land which the Lord sware vnto your fathers to giue them, as long as the heauens are aboue the earth.

²⁰ Thou camest yesterday, and should I cause thee to wander to day and go with vs? I will goe whither I can: therefore returne thou and cary againe thy brethren: mercy and trueth be with thee.

¹⁰ All the pathes of the Lord are mercie and trueth vnto such as keepe his couenant and his testimonies.

¹¹ I haue hid thy promise in mine heart, that I might not sinne against thee.

⁹ For they shalbe a comely ornament vnto thine head, and as chaines for thy necke.

²¹ Binde them alway vpon thine heart, and tye them about thy necke.

³ Binde them vpon thy fingers, and write them vpon the table of thine heart.

⁶ By mercy and trueth iniquitie shalbe forgiuen, and by the feare of the Lord they depart from euill.

²⁸ Mercie and trueth preserue the King: for his throne shall be established with mercie.

¹ The sinne of Iudah is written with a pen of yron, and with the poynt of a diamonde, and grauen vpon the table of their heart, and vpon the hornes of your altars.

¹ Heare the worde of the Lord, ye children of Israel: for the Lord hath a controuersie with the inhabitants of the lande, because there is no trueth nor mercie nor knowledge of God in the lande.

¹⁸ Who is a God like vnto thee, that taketh away iniquitie, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage! He reteineth not his wrath for euer, because mercie pleaseth him. ¹⁹ He will turne againe, and haue compassion vpon vs: he will subdue our iniquities, and cast all their sinnes into the bottome of the sea. ²⁰ Thou wilt perfourme thy trueth to Iaakob, and mercie to Abraham, as thou hast sworne vnto our fathers in olde time.

⁶ The lawe of trueth was in his mouth, and there was no iniquitie founde in his lippes: hee walked with me in peace and equitie, and did turne many away from iniquitie.

²³ Wo be to you, Scribes and Pharises, hypocrites: for ye tithe mynt, and annyse, and cummyn, and leaue the weightier matters of the law, as iudgement, and mercy and fidelitie. These ought ye to haue done, and not to haue left the other.

³ In that yee are manifest, to be the Epistle of Christ, ministred by vs, and written, not with yncke, but with the Spirite of the liuing God, not in tables of stone, but in fleshly tables of the heart.

¹ Bee yee therefore followers of God, as deare children, ² And walke in loue, euen as Christ hath loued vs, and hath giuen himselfe for vs, to be an offering and a sacrifice of a sweete smellling sauour to God.

¹⁶ This is the Testament that I will make vnto them after those dayes, sayth the Lord, I wil put my Lawes in their heart, and in their mindes I will write them.
