¹ Paul called to be an Apostle of Iesus Christ, through the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes, ² Vnto the Church of God, which is at Corinthus, to them that are sanctified in Christ Iesus, Saintes by calling, with all that call on the Name of our Lord Iesus Christ in euery place, both their Lord, and ours: ³ Grace be with you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Iesus Christ. ⁴ I thanke my God alwayes on your behalfe for the grace of God, which is giuen you in Iesus Christ, ⁵ That in all things ye are made rich in him, in all kinde of speach, and in all knowledge: ⁶ As the testimonie of Iesus Christ hath bene confirmed in you: ⁷ So that ye are not destitute of any gift: wayting for the appearing of our Lord Iesus Christ. ⁸ Who shall also confirme you vnto the ende, that ye may be blamelesse, in the day of our Lord Iesus Christ. ⁹ God is faithfull, by whom ye are called vnto the fellowship of his Sonne Iesus Christ our Lord. ¹⁰ Nowe I beseeche you, brethren, by the Name of our Lord Iesus Christ, that ye all speake one thing, and that there be no dissensions among you: but be ye knit together in one mind, and in one iudgement. ¹¹ For it hath bene declared vnto me, my brethren, of you by them that are of the house of Cloe, that there are contentions among you. ¹² Nowe this I say, that euery one of you saith, I am Pauls, and I am Apollos, and I am Cephas, and I am Christs. ¹³ Is Christ deuided? was Paul crucified for you? either were ye baptized into the name of Paul? ¹⁴ I thanke God, that I baptized none of you, but Crispus, and Gaius, ¹⁵ Lest any should say, that I had baptized into mine owne name. ¹⁶ I baptized also the houshold of Stephanas: furthermore knowe I not, whether I baptized any other. ¹⁷ For CHRIST sent me not to baptize, but to preache the Gospel, not with wisdome of wordes, lest the crosse of Christ should be made of none effect. ¹⁸ For that preaching of the crosse is to them that perish, foolishnesse: but vnto vs, which are saued, it is the power of God. ¹⁹ For it is written, I will destroy the wisedome of the wise, and will cast away the vnderstanding of the prudent. ²⁰ Where is the wise? where is the Scribe? where is the disputer of this worlde? hath not God made the wisedome of this worlde foolishnesse? ²¹ For seeing the worlde by wisedome knewe not God in the wisedome of GOD, it pleased God by the foolishnesse of preaching to saue them that beleeue: ²² Seeing also that the Iewes require a signe, and the Grecians seeke after wisdome. ²³ But wee preach Christ crucified: vnto the Iewes, euen a stumbling blocke, and vnto the Grecians, foolishnesse: ²⁴ But vnto them which are called, both of the Iewes and Grecians, we preach Christ, the power of God, and the wisedome of God. ²⁵ For the foolishnesse of God is wiser then men, and the weakenesse of God is stronger then men. ²⁶ For brethren, you see your calling, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble are called. ²⁷ But God hath chosen the foolish thinges of the world to confound the wise, and God hath chosen the weake thinges of the worlde, to confound the mightie things, ²⁸ And vile things of the worlde and thinges which are despised, hath God chosen, and thinges which are not, to bring to nought thinges that are, ²⁹ That no flesh shoulde reioyce in his presence. ³⁰ But ye are of him in Christ Iesus, who of God is made vnto vs wisedome and righteousnesse, and sanctification, and redemption, ³¹ That, according as it is written, Hee that reioyceth, let him reioyce in the Lord.

²⁶ And to ye same Sheth also there was borne a sonne, and he called his name Enosh. Then beganne men to call vpon the name of the Lord.

⁸ Afterward remouing thence vnto a moutaine Eastward from Beth-el, he pitched his tent hauing Beth-el on the Westside, and Haai on the East: and there he built an altar vnto the Lord, and called on the Name of the Lord.

⁴ Vnto the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first: and there Abram called on the Name of the Lord. ⁵ And Lot also, who went with Abram, had sheepe, and cattell and tentes, ⁶ So that the land coulde not beare them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they coulde not dwell together. ⁷ Also there was debate betweene ye heardmen of Abrams cattell, and the heardmen of Lots cattell. ⁴² And it was told to Rebekah of the wordes of Esau her elder sonne, and shee sent and called Iaakob her yonger sonne, and sayd vnto him, Beholde, thy brother Esau is comforted against thee, meaning to kill thee:

¹⁹ God is not as man, that he should lie, neither as the sonne of man that he shoulde repent: hath he sayde and shall he not do it? and hath he spoken, and shall he not accomplish it?

⁹ That thou mayest knowe, that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithfull God which keepeth couenant and mercie vnto them that loue him and keepe his commandements, euen to a thousand generations,

⁶³ And as the Lord hath reioyced ouer you, to doe you good, and to multiply you, so he will reioyce ouer you, to destroy you, and bring you to nought, and ye shalbe rooted out of the land, whither thou goest to possesse it.

⁴ Perfect is the worke of the mighty God: for all his wayes are iudgement. God is true, and without wickednesse: iust, and righteous is he.

So whe the Philistims saw, that their champion was dead, they fled.

¹⁴ Nowe one of the seruantes tolde Abigail Nabals wife, saying, Beholde, Dauid sent messengers out of the wildernesse to salute our master, and he rayled on them. ¹⁵ Notwithstanding the men were very good vnto vs, and we had no displeasure, neither missed we any thing as long as we were conuersant with them, when we were in the fieldes. ¹⁶ They were as a wall vnto vs both by night and by day, all the while we were with them keeping sheepe. ¹⁷ Nowe therefore take heede, and see what thou shalt doe: for euill will surely come vpon our master, and vpon all his familie: for he is so wicked that a man can not speake to him.

³¹ Then one tolde Dauid, saying, Ahithophel is one of them that haue cospired with Absalom: and Dauid sayde, O Lord, I pray thee, turne the counsell of Ahithophel into foolishnesse.

²³ And the counsell of Ahithophel which he counseled in those dayes, was like as one had asked counsell at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with Dauid and with Absalom.

¹⁴ Then Absalom and all the men of Israel sayde, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better, then the counsell of Ahithophel: for the Lord had determined to destroy the good counsell of Ahithophel, that the Lord might bring euill vpon Absalom.

²³ Nowe when Ahithophel sawe that his counsell was not followed, he sadled his asse, and arose, and he went home vnto his citie, and put his houshold in order, and hanged him selfe, and dyed, and was buryed in his fathers graue.

¹⁴ And Ahab sayd, By whome? And he sayde, Thus sayth the Lord, By the seruants of the princes of the prouinces. He sayde againe, Who shall order the battel? And he answered, Thou. ¹⁵ Then he nombred the seruantes of the princes of the prouinces, and they were two hundreth, two and thirtie: and after them he nombred the whole people of all the children of Israel, euen seuen thousand. ¹⁶ And they went out at noone: but Ben-hadad did drinke till he was drunken in the tentes, both he and the Kings: for two and thirtie Kings helped him. ¹⁷ So the seruants of the princes of the prouinces went out first: and Ben-hadad sent out, and they shewed him, saying, There are men come out of Samaria. ¹⁸ And he sayde, Whether they be come out for peace, take them aliue: or whether they bee come out to fight, take them yet aliue. ¹⁹ So they came out of the citie, to wit, the seruants of the princes of the prouinces, and the hoste which followed them. ²⁰ And they slew euery one his enemie: and the Aramites fled, and Israel pursued them: but Ben-hadad ye King of Aram escaped on an horse with his horsemen. ²¹ And the King of Israel went out, and smote the horses and charets, and with a great slaughter slew he the Aramites. ²² (For there had come a Prophet to the King of Israel, and had sayd vnto him, Goe, be of good courage, and consider, and take heede what thou doest: for when the yeere is gone about, the King of Aram wil come vp against thee)

¹⁰ Reioyce in his holy Name: let the hearts of them that seeke the Lord reioyce.

³⁵ And say ye, Saue vs, O God, our saluation, and gather vs, and deliuer vs from the heathen, that we may prayse thine holy Name, and glorie in thy praise.

¹² He scattereth the deuices of the craftie: so that their handes can not accomplish that which they doe enterprise. ¹³ He taketh the wise in their craftinesse, and the counsel of the wicked is made foolish.

¹⁷ He causeth the counsellers to goe as spoyled, and maketh the iudges fooles.

²⁰ He taketh away the speach from the faithfull counsellers, and taketh away the iudgement of the ancient.

²⁴ He taketh away the heartes of the that are the chiefe ouer the people of the earth, and maketh them to wander in the wildernes out of the way.

¹⁹ How much lesse to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, and regardeth not the rich, more then the poore? for they be all the worke of his handes. ²⁰ They shall die suddenly, and the people shalbe troubled at midnight, and they shall passe foorth and take away the mightie without hand.

²⁴ He shall breake the mightie without seeking, and shall set vp other in their stead.

² Out of the mouth of babes and suckelings hast thou ordeined strength, because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemie and the auenger.

¹⁰ Many sorowes shall come to the wicked: but he, that trusteth in the Lord, mercie shall compasse him.

¹⁷ For the armes of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord vpholdeth the iust men.

²⁸ For the Lord loueth iudgement, and forsaketh not his Saintes: they shall be preserued for euermore: but the seede of the wicked shall be cut off.

³⁵ I haue seene the wicked strong, and spreading himselfe like a greene bay tree. ³⁶ Yet he passed away, and loe, he was gone, and I sought him, but he could not be founde.

¹¹ So shall the King haue pleasure in thy beautie: for he is thy Lord, and reuerence thou him.

⁶ They trust in their goods, and boast them selues in the multitude of their riches.

¹⁵ My mouth shall daily rehearse thy righteousnesse, and thy saluation: for I knowe not the nomber. ¹⁶ I will goe forwarde in the strength of the Lord God, and will make mention of thy righteousnesse, euen of thine onely.

³³ Yet my louing kindnesse will I not take from him, neither will I falsifie my trueth. ³⁴ My couenant wil I not breake, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. ³⁵ I haue sworne once by mine holines, that I will not fayle Dauid, saying,

⁵ For the Lord is good: his mercy is euerlasting, and his trueth is from generation to generation.

³ Reioyce in his holy Name: let the heart of them that seeke the Lord, reioyce.

² The Lord shall send the rod of thy power out of Zion: be thou ruler in the middes of thine enemies. ³ Thy people shall come willingly at the time of assembling thine armie in holy beautie: the youth of thy wombe shalbe as the morning dewe.

²⁰ Wisdome cryeth without: she vttereth her voyce in the streetes.

⁵ O ye foolish men, vnderstand wisedome, and ye, O fooles, be wise in heart.

²² The Lord hath possessed me in the beginning of his way: I was before his workes of olde. ²³ I was set vp from euerlasting, from the beginning and before the earth. ²⁴ When there were no depths, was I begotten, when there were no fountaines abounding with water. ²⁵ Before the mountaines were setled: and before the hilles, was I begotten. ²⁶ He had not yet made the earth, nor the open places, nor the height of the dust in the worlde. ²⁷ When hee prepared the heauens, I was there, when he set the compasse vpon the deepe. ²⁸ When he established the cloudes aboue, when he confirmed the fountaines of the deepe, ²⁹ When he gaue his decree to the Sea, that the waters shoulde not passe his commandement: when he appointed the foundations of the earth, ³⁰ Then was I with him as a nourisher, and I was dayly his delight reioycing alway before him,

¹⁴ And he shalbe as a Sanctuarie: but as a stumbling stone, and as a rocke to fall vpon, to both the houses of Israel, and as a snare and as a net to the inhabitants of Ierusalem. ¹⁵ And many among them shall stumble, and shall fall and shalbe broken and shalbe snared and shalbe taken.

¹⁵ Shall the axe boast it selfe against him that heweth therewith? or shall the sawe exalt it selfe against him that moueth it? as if the rod shoulde lift vp it selfe against him that taketh it vp, or the staffe should exalt it selfe, as it were no wood.

⁵ And iustice shall be ye girdle of his loynes, and faithfulnesse the girdle of his reines.

¹³ The people shall make a sounde like the noise of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee farre off, and shalbe chased as the chaffe of the mountaines before the winde, and as a rolling thing before the whirlewinde. ¹⁴ And loe, in the euening there is trouble: but afore the morning it is gone. This is the portion of them that spoyle vs, and the lot of them that robbe vs.

³ And the spirite of Egypt shall faile in the middes of her, and I will destroy their counsell, and they shall seeke at the idoles, and at the sorcerers, and at them that haue spirits of diuination, and at the southsayers.

¹⁴ Therefore behold, I wil againe doe a marueilous worke in this people, euen a marueilous worke, and a wonder: for the wisdome of their wise men shall perish, and the vnderstanding of their prudent men shalbe hid.

¹⁹ The meeke in the Lord shall receiue ioye againe, and the poore men shall reioyce in the holy one of Israel.

¹⁸ Thine heart shall meditate feare, Where is the scribe? where is the receiuer? where is hee that counted the towres?

³⁶ Then the Angel of the Lord went out, and smote in the campe of Asshur an hundreth, fourescore, and fiue thousand: so when they arose early in the morning, beholde, they were all dead corpses.

¹² Thou shalt seeke them and shalt not finde them: to wit, the men of thy strife, for they shall be as nothing, and the men that warre against thee, as a thing of nought.

¹⁶ Thou shalt fanne them, and the winde shall carie them away, and the whirlewinde shall scatter them: and thou shalt reioyce in the Lord, and shalt glory in the holy one of Israel.

²⁵ I destroy the tokens of ye southsayers, and make them that coniecture, fooles, and turne the wise men backwarde, and make their knowledge foolishnesse.

¹⁷ But Israel shall be saued in the Lord, with an euerlasting saluation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded worlde without ende.

²⁴ Surely he shall say, In the Lord haue I righteousnesse and strength: he shall come vnto him, and all that prouoke him, shall be ashamed. ²⁵ The whole seede of Israel shall be iustified, and glorie in the Lord.

² And thou shalt sweare, The Lord liueth in trueth, in iudgement, and in righteousnesse, and the nations shall be blessed in him, and shall glorie in him.

⁹ The wise men are ashamed: they are afraid and taken. loe, they haue reiected the word of the Lord, and what wisdome is in them?

²³ Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisedome, nor the strong man glorie in his strength, neyther the riche man glorie in his riches.

³⁹ And I wil giue them one heart and one way that they may feare me for euer for ye wealth of them, and of their children after them.

²² It is the Lordes mercies that wee are not consumed, because his compassions faile not. ²³ They are renued euery morning: great is thy faithfulnesse.

³⁴ Thou beheldest it til a stone was cut without hands, which smote the image vpon his feete, that were of yron and clay, and brake them to pieces. ³⁵ Then was the yron, the clay, the brasse, the siluer and the golde broken all together, and became like the chaffe of the sommer floures, and the winde caryed them away, that no place was founde for them: and the stone that smote the image, became a great mountaine, and filled the whole earth.

⁴⁴ And in the dayes of these Kings, shall the God of heauen set vp a kingdome, which shall neuer be destroyed: and this kingdome shall not be giuen to another people, but it shall breake, and destroy al these kingdomes, and it shall stand for euer. ⁴⁵ Where as thou sawest, that the stone was cut of the mountaine without handes, and that it brake in pieces the yron, the brasse, the clay, the siluer, and the golde: so the great God hath shewed the King, what shall come to passe hereafter, and the dreame is true, and the interpretation thereof is sure.

²⁴ Seuentie weekes are determined vpon thy people and vpon thine holy citie, to finish the wickednes, and to seale vp the sinnes, and to reconcile the inquitie, and to bring in euerlasting righteousnesse, and to seale vp the vision and prophecie, and to anoynt the most Holy.

¹⁴ I wil redeeme them from the power of the graue: I will deliuer them from death: O death, I wil be thy death: O graue, I will be thy destruction: repentance is hid from mine eyes.

¹² Then will I leaue in the middes of thee an humble and poore people: and they shall trust in the Name of the Lord.

⁶ Then he answered and spake vnto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord vnto Zerubbabel, saying, Neither by an armie nor strength, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord of hostes. ⁷ Who art thou, O great mountaine, before Zerubbabel? thou shalt be a plaine, and he shall bring foorth the head stone thereof, with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace vnto it.

⁷ The Lord also shall preserue the tents of Iudah, as afore time: therefore the glorie of the house of Dauid shall not boast, nor the glorie of the inhabitants of Ierusalem against Iudah. ⁸ In that day shall the Lord defende the inhabitants of Ierusalem, and he that is feeble among them, in that day shall be as Dauid: and the house of Dauid shall be as Gods house, and as the Angel of the Lord before them.

²¹ And she shall bring foorth a sonne, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for hee shall saue his people from their sinnes.

⁶ And blessed is he that shall not be offeded in me.

⁵⁷ And they were offended with him. Then Iesus said to them, A Prophet is not without honour, saue in his owne countrey, and in his owne house.

¹ Then came the Pharises and Sadduces, and did tempt him, desiring him to shew them a signe from heauen. ² But he answered, and said vnto them, When it is euening, ye say, Faire wether: for ye skie is red. ³ And in the morning ye say, To day shall be a tempest: for the skie is red and lowring. O hypocrites, ye can discerne the face of the skie, and can ye not discerne the signes of the times? ⁴ The wicked generation, and adulterous seeketh a signe, but there shall no signe be giuen it, but that signe of the Prophet Ionas: so hee left them, and departed.

³⁵ Heauen and earth shall passe away: but my wordes shall not passe away.

³ It seemed good also to me (most noble Theophilus) assoone as I had searched out perfectly all things from the beginning, to write vnto thee thereof from point to point,

³⁶ And ye your selues like vnto men that waite for their master, when he will returne from the wedding, that when he commeth and knocketh, they may open vnto him immediatly.

²⁴ For as the lightening that lighteneth out of the one part vnder heauen, shineth vnto the other part vnder heauen, so shall the Sonne of man be in his day.

³⁰ After these ensamples shall it be in the day when the Sonne of man is reueiled.

²⁴ And when Iesus sawe him very sorowfull, he said, With what difficultie shall they that haue riches, enter into the kingdome of God! ²⁵ Surely it is easier for a camel to go through a needles eye, then for a riche man to enter into the kingdome of God.

³⁹ Then some of the Pharises of the companie sayd vnto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. ⁴⁰ But he answered, and sayd vnto them, I tell you, that if these should holde their peace, the stones would crie.

¹⁵ For I will giue you a mouth and wisdome, where against all your aduersaries shall not be able to speake, nor resist.

⁴⁶ And said vnto them, Thus is it written, and thus it behoued Christ to suffer, and to rise againe from the dead the third day, ⁴⁷ And that repentance, and remission of sinnes should be preached in his Name among all nations, beginning at Hierusalem.

¹⁸ No man hath seene God at any time: that onely begotten Sonne, which is in the bosome of the Father, he hath declared him.

⁴² And he brought him to Iesus. And Iesus behelde him, and saide, Thou art Simon the sonne of Iona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, a stone.

And there was a certaine ruler, whose sonne was sicke at Capernaum. ⁴⁷ When he heard that Iesus was come out of Iudea into Galile, he went vnto him, and besought him that he would goe downe, and heale his sonne: for he was euen ready to die. ⁴⁸ Then saide Iesus vnto him, Except ye see signes and wonders, ye will not beleeue. ⁴⁹ The ruler said vnto him, Syr, goe downe before my sonne dye. ⁵⁰ Iesus said vnto him, Go thy way, thy sonne liueth: and the man beleeued the worde that Iesus had spoken vnto him, and went his way. ⁵¹ And as he was nowe going downe, his seruants met him, saying, Thy sonne liueth. ⁵² Then enquired he of them the houre when he began to amend. And they said vnto him, Yesterday the seuenth houre the feuer left him. ⁵³ Then the father knew, that it was the same houre in the which Iesus had said vnto him, Thy sonne liueth. And he beleeued, and all his houshold.

⁵³ Then Iesus saide vnto them, Verely, verely I say vnto you, Except yee eate the flesh of the Sonne of man, and drinke his blood, yee haue no life in you. ⁵⁴ Whosoeuer eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternall life, and I will raise him vp at the last day. ⁵⁵ For my flesh is meat in deede, and my blood is drinke in deede. ⁵⁶ Hee that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. ⁵⁷ As that liuing Father hath sent me, so liue I by the Father, and he that eateth me, euen he shall liue by me. ⁵⁸ This is that bread which came downe from heauen: not as your fathers haue eaten Manna, and are deade. Hee that eateth of this bread, shall liue for euer. ⁵⁹ These things spake he in the Synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. ⁶⁰ Many therefore of his disciples (when they heard this) sayde, This is an hard saying: who can heare it? ⁶¹ But Iesus knowing in himselfe, that his disciples murmured at this, saide vnto them, Doeth this offend you? ⁶² What then if yee should see that Sonne of man ascend vp where he was before? ⁶³ It is the spirite that quickeneth: the flesh profiteth nothing: the woordes that I speake vnto you, are spirite and life. ⁶⁴ But there are some of you that beleeue not: for Iesus knewe from the beginning, which they were that beleeued not, and who shoulde betray him. ⁶⁵ And hee saide, Therefore saide I vnto you, that no man can come vnto mee, except it be giuen vnto him of my Father. ⁶⁶ From that time, many of his disciples went backe, and walked no more with him.

¹⁸ Hee that speaketh of himselfe, seeketh his owne glorie: but hee that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no vnrighteousnes is in him.

⁴³ So was there dissension among the people for him.

⁴⁷ Then answered them the Pharises, Are yee also deceiued? ⁴⁸ Doeth any of the rulers, or of the Pharises beleeue in him? ⁴⁹ But this people, which know not the Law, are cursed.

¹⁶ Then said some of the Pharises, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the Sabbath day. Others sayd, Howe can a man that is a sinner, doe such miracles? and there was a dissension among them.

⁶ Iesus sayd vnto him, I am that Way, and that Trueth, and that Life. No man commeth vnto the Father, but by me.

¹⁴ If ye shall aske any thing in my Name, I will doe it.

²⁶ But the Comforter, which is the holy Ghost, whom the Father wil send in my Name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, which I haue tolde you.

⁸ For I haue giuen vnto them the wordes which thou gauest me, and they haue receiued them, and haue knowen surely that I came out from thee, and haue beleeued that thou hast sent me.

³² And the multitude of them that beleeued, were of one heart, and of one soule: neither any of them said, that any thing of that which he possessed, was his owne, but they had all thinges common.

⁴⁸ So he commanded them to be baptized in the Name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tary certaine dayes.

⁴ For if he that commeth, preacheth another Iesus whome we haue not preached: or if yee receiue another spirite whome ye haue not receiued: either another Gospell, which yee haue not receiued, ye might well haue suffered him. ⁵ Verely I suppose that I was not inferior to the very chiefe Apostles. ⁶ And though I be rude in speaking, yet I am not so in knowledge, but among you wee haue beene made manifest to the vttermost, in all things.

² I know a man in Christ aboue fourteene yeeres agone, (whether he were in the body, I can not tell, or out of the body, I can not tell: God knoweth) which was taken vp into the thirde heauen.

¹³ But reioyce, in asmuch as ye are partakers of Christs suffrings, that when his glory shall appeare, ye may be glad and reioyce.

⁴ And when that chiefe shepheard shall appeare, ye shall receiue an incorruptible crowne of glory.

¹⁰ And the God of all grace, which hath called vs vnto his eternall glory by Christ Iesus, after that ye haue suffered a litle, make you perfite, confirme, strengthen and stablish you.

¹ Simon Peter a seruant and an Apostle of Iesus Christ, to you which haue obteined like precious faith with vs by the righteousnesse of our God and Sauiour Iesus Christ:

¹⁶ For we followed not deceiuable fables when we opened vnto you the power, and comming of our Lord Iesus Christ, but with our eyes we saw his maiestie:

¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come as a thiefe in the night, in the which the heauens shall passe away with a noyse, and the elements shall melt with heate, and the earth with the workes that are therein, shalbe burnt vp.

¹² Looking for, and hasting vnto the comming of that day of God, by the which the heauens being on fire, shall be dissolued, and the elements shall melt with heate?

¹⁴ Wherefore, beloued, seeing that yee looke for such thinges, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot and blamelesse.

¹⁸ But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Sauiour Iesus Christ: to him be glory both now and for euermore. Amen.

³ That, I say, which wee haue seene and heard, declare wee vnto you, that yee may also haue fellowship with vs, and that our fellowship also may be with the Father, and with his Sonne Iesvs Christ.

⁷ But if we walke in the light as he is in the light, we haue fellowship one with another, and the blood of Iesus Christ his Sonne clenseth vs from all sinne.

² Dearely beloued, nowe are we the sonnes of God, but yet it is not made manifest what we shall be: and we know that when he shalbe made manifest, we shalbe like him: for we shall see him as he is.

¹³ Hereby know we, that we dwell in him, and he in vs: because he hath giuen vs of his Spirit.

⁶ This is that Iesus Christ that came by water and blood: not by water onely, but by water and blood: and it is that Spirit, that beareth witnesse: for that Spirit is trueth.

¹¹ And this is that record, to wit, that God hath giuen vnto vs eternall life, and this life is in that his Sonne. ¹² He that hath that Sonne, hath that life: and he that hath not that Sonne of God, hath not that life. ¹³ These things haue I written vnto you, that beleeue in the Name of that Sonne of God, that ye may knowe that ye haue eternall life, and that ye may beleeue in the Name of that Sonne of God.

¹ THE ELDER to the elect Lady, and her children, whom I loue in the trueth: and not I onely, but also all that haue knowen the trueth,

¹ The Elder vnto the beloued Gaius, whom I loue in the trueth. ² Beloued, I wish chiefly that thou prosperedst and faredst well as thy soule prospereth. ³ For I reioyced greatly when the brethren came, and testified of the trueth that is in thee, how thou walkest in the trueth. ⁴ I haue no greater ioy then these, that is, to heare that my sonnes walke in veritie.

¹ IVde a seruaunt of Iesus Christ, and brother of Iames, to them which are called and sanctified of God the Father, and returned to Iesus Christ:

²¹ And keepe your selues in the loue of God, looking for the mercie of our Lord Iesus Christ, vnto eternall life.

²⁴ Nowe vnto him that is able to keepe you, that ye fall not, and to present you faultlesse before the presence of his glorie with ioy, ²⁵ That is, to God only wise, our Sauiour, be glorie, and maiestie, and dominion, and power, both nowe and for euer, Amen.

² Who bare record of ye word of God, and of the testimonie of Iesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

⁹ I Iohn, euen your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdome and patience of Iesus Christ, was in the yle called Patmos, for the worde of God, and for the witnessing of Iesus Christ.

⁹ And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthie to take the Booke, and to open the seales thereof, because thou wast killed, and hast redeemed vs to God by thy blood out of euery kinred, and tongue, and people, and nation,

⁹ And when hee had opened the fifth seale, I sawe vnder the altar the soules of them, that were killed for the worde of God, and for the testimonie which they mainteined.

¹¹ But they ouercame him by that blood of that Lambe, and by that worde of their testimonie, and they loued not their liues vnto the death.

¹⁷ Then the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went and made warre with the remnant of her seede, which keepe the comaundements of God, and haue the testimonie of Iesus Christ. [ (Revelation of John 12:18) And I stood on the sea sand. ]

⁴ These are they, which are not defiled with women: for they are virgins: these follow the Lambe whithersoeuer he goeth: these are bought from men, being the first fruites vnto God, and to the Lambe.

¹⁷ For in one houre so great riches are come to desolation. And euery shipmaster, and all the people that occupie shippes, and shipmen, and whosoeuer traffike on the sea, shall stand a farre off,

¹⁰ And I fell before his feete, to worship him: but he said vnto me, See thou doe it not: I am thy fellowe seruant, and one of thy brethren, which haue the testimonie of Iesus. Worship God: for the testimonie of Iesus is the Spirit of prophecie. ¹¹ And I sawe heauen open, and behold, a white horse, and he that sate vpon him, was called, Faithfull and true, and he iudgeth and fighteth righteously.

¹⁶ And he hath vpon his garment, and vpon his thigh a name written, THE KINGS OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
