²⁰ Then came to him the mother of the sons of Zebedee with her sons, worshipping [him], and asking a certain thing of him.

¹¹ And they came into the house and saw the young child with Mary his mother; and they fell down and worshipped him; and opening their treasures they offered unto him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh.

²¹ And going on from thence he saw other two brethren, James the [son] of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.

² And behold, there came to him a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

³³ And they that were in the boat worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.

²⁵ But she came and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.

⁵⁶ among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.

And Jesus said unto them, The cup that I drink ye shall drink; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized: ⁴⁰ but to sit on my right hand or on [my] left hand is not mine to give: but [it is for them] for whom it hath been prepared. ⁴¹ And when the ten heard it, they began to be moved with indignation concerning James and John. ⁴² And Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles lord it over them; and their great ones exercise authority over them. ⁴³ But it is not so among you: but whosoever would become great among you, shall be your minister: ⁴⁴ and whosoever would be first among you, shall be servant of all. ⁴⁵ For verily the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
