³ And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staff, nor wallet, nor bread, nor money; neither have two coats.

³ Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land, and follow after faithfulness.

⁹ Get you no gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses; ¹⁰ no wallet for [your] journey, neither two coats, nor shoes, nor staff: for the labourer is worthy of his food. ¹¹ And into whatsoever city or village ye shall enter, search out who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go forth. ¹² And as ye enter into the house, salute it. ¹³ And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. ¹⁴ And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, as ye go forth out of that house or that city, shake off the dust of your feet.

⁸ and he charged them that they should take nothing for [their] journey, save a staff only; no bread, no wallet, no money in their purse; ⁹ but [to go] shod with sandals: and, [said he], put not on two coats. ¹⁰ And he said unto them, Wheresoever ye enter into a house, there abide till ye depart thence. ¹¹ And whatsoever place shall not receive you, and they hear you not, as ye go forth thence, shake off the dust that is under your feet for a testimony unto them.

¹¹ And he answered and said unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath food, let him do likewise.

²⁹ And Levi made him a great feast in his house: and there was a great multitude of publicans and of others that were sitting at meat with them.

⁴ Carry no purse, no wallet, no shoes: and salute no man on the way. ⁵ And into whatsoever house ye shall enter, first say, Peace [be] to this house. ⁶ And if a son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon him: but if not, it shall turn to you again. ⁷ And in that same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house. ⁸ And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: ⁹ and heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. ¹⁰ But into whatsoever city ye shall enter, and they receive you not, go out into the streets thereof and say, ¹¹ Even the dust from your city, that cleaveth to our feet, we do wipe off against you: howbeit know this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh. ¹² I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.

²² And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for [your] life, what ye shall eat; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on.

²⁸ But if God doth so clothe the grass in the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven; how much more [shall he clothe] you, O ye of little faith?

³⁵ And he said unto them, When I sent you forth without purse, and wallet, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.

⁴ No soldier on service entangleth himself in the affairs of [this] life; that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier.
