¹² I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I have become like a lost vessel.

⁹ Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

⁴ I am counted with those that go down into the pit; I am as a man that has no strength: ⁵ Freed among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom thou dost remember no more; and they are cut off from thy hand.

⁸³ ¶ For I am become like a wine skin in the smoke; yet I have not forgotten thy statutes.

¹⁴ And your destruction shall be as the breaking of a potter’s vessel that without mercy is broken to pieces so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it even a shard to take fire from the hearth or to take water from the well.

¹¹ I said, I shall not see JAH, even JAH, in the land of the living; I shall behold man no more with the inhabitants of the world. ¹² My dwelling place has been moved and is removed from me as a shepherd’s tent; he has cut off my life like a weaver: he has cut me off with sickness: between the day and the night thou shalt consume me.

²¹ Has not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour and another unto dishonour? ²² What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make his power known, endured with much meekness the vessels of wrath, prepared for death,

²⁷ and he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter they shall be broken to shivers, even as I received of my Father.
