⁵⁰ ¶ And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands and blessed them.

¹⁸ Then Melchizedek, king of Salem, brought forth bread and wine, for he was the priest of the most high God. ¹⁹ And he blessed him and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of the heavens and of the earth; ²⁰ and blessed be the most high God, who has delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And Abram gave him tithes of all.

⁴ and make me savoury food, such as I love, and bring it to me that I may eat, that my soul may bless thee before I die.

⁹ And Joseph said unto his father, They are my sons, whom God has given me in this place. And he said, Bring them, I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless them.

²⁸ ¶ All these were the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father spoke unto them and blessed them; each one according to his blessing he blessed them.

¹ ¶ And when they came near to Jerusalem unto Bethphage and Bethany at the mount of Olives, he sends forth two of his disciples

¹² ¶ Then they returned unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day’s journey.

⁵ And verily those that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they also have come out of the loins of Abraham; ⁶ but he whose descent is not counted in those took tithes from Abraham and blessed him that had the promises. ⁷ And without any contradiction the less is blessed of the better.
