¹ ¶ He that is wounded in the stones or is castrated shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

¹⁷ Speak unto Aaron, saying, The man of thy seed in their generations that has any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God. ¹⁸ For no man in whom there is a blemish, shall approach: a blind man or a lame or he that lacks any thing or has any thing superfluous ¹⁹ or a man that is brokenfooted or brokenhanded ²⁰ or crookbacked or a dwarf or that has a blemish in his eye or has scurvy or is scabbed or has his stones broken. ²¹ No man that has a blemish of the seed of Aaron, the priest, shall come near to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire. He has a blemish; he shall not come near to offer the bread of his God.

²² Blind or broken or maimed or having a running sore or scurvy or scabbed, ye shall not offer these unto the LORD, nor make an offering on fire of them upon the altar of the LORD. ²³ A bullock or a lamb that has any thing superfluous or lacking in his parts, thou may offer for a freewill offering; but for a vow it shall not be accepted. ²⁴ Ye shall not offer unto the LORD that which is bruised or crushed or broken or cut; neither shall ye do thus in all your land.

² A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD. ³ An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever,

⁸ The sons that are begotten of them shall enter into the congregation of the LORD in their third generation.

¹ ¶ On that day they read in the book of Moses in the audience of the people; and it was found written therein that the Ammonites and the Moabites should not come into the congregation of God forever ² because they did not meet the sons of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam against them, that he should curse them; howbeit our God turned the curse into a blessing. ³ Now it came to pass, when they had heard the law, that they separated from Israel all the mixed multitude.

³ ¶ Neither let the son of the stranger that has joined himself to the LORD speak, saying, The LORD shall utterly separate me from his people: nor let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree. ⁴ For thus has the LORD said unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
