⁸ And Abram says to Lot, I beseech you, that there be no strife between me and between you and between my tenders and between your tenders - for we are men - brothers. ⁹ Is not the whole land at your face? Separate, I beseech you, from me: if left, I go to the right; or if right, I go to the left.

²⁵ Far be it from you to work this word, to deathify the just with the wicked: and that it be, as the just, as the wicked. Far be it from you! The Judge of all the earth, works he not judgment?

⁴ but go to my land and to my kindred and take a woman to my son Yischaq. ⁵ And the servant says to him, Perhaps the woman wills not to go after me to this land: in returning, return I your son to the land whence you came? ⁶ And Abraham says to him, Guard that you not return my son there. ⁷ Yah Veh Elohim of the heavens who took me from the house of my father and from the land of my kindred and who had worded to me and who oathed to me, saying, I give this land to your seed - he sends his angel at your face to take a woman to my son from there. ⁸ And if the woman wills not to go after you, then you are exonerated from this my oath: only return not my son there. ⁹ And the servant puts his hand under the flank of Abraham his adoni and oaths to him concerning that word. ¹⁰ And the servant takes ten camels of the camels of his adoni and goes; and all the goods of his adoni in his hand: and he rises and goes to Aram Naharaim to the city of Nachor: ¹¹ and he kneels his camels outside the city by a well of water at the time of the evening - at bailing time. ¹² And he says, O Yah Veh Elohim of my adoni Abraham, I pray you, happen at my face this day and work mercy to my adoni Abraham: ¹³ behold, I station myself by the fountain of water; and the daughters of the men of the city come to bail water: ¹⁴ and so be it, that the lass to whom I say, Spread your pitcher, I pray you, Give me drink; and she says, Drink and I also give your camels drink - that you approve her for your servant Yischaq; and thereby I know that you work mercy to my adoni. ¹⁵ And so be it, ere he finishes wording, that behold, Ribqah, who was birthed to Bethu El, son of Milchah, woman of Nachor, brother of Abraham, comes with her pitcher on her shoulder: ¹⁶ and the lass is mighty good looking, a virgin, no man having known her: and she descends to the fountain and fills her pitcher and ascends. ¹⁷ And the servant runs to meet her and says, I beseech you, give me a little water from your pitcher to drink. ¹⁸ And she says, Drink, my adoni: and she hastens and lowers the pitcher on her hand and gives him drink: ¹⁹ and she finishes giving him drink and she says, I also bail for your camels until they finish drinking. ²⁰ - and she hastens and empties her pitcher into the trough and runs again to the well to bail and bails for all his camels. ²¹ And the man, wondering at her, hushes, to perceive whether Yah Veh prospers his journey or not. ²² And so be it, as the camels finish drinking, the man takes a golden nosering of a bekah weight and two bracelets for her hands of ten weight of gold; ²³ and says, Whose daughter are you? Tell me, I pray you, is there place in the house of your father for us to stay overnight? ²⁴ And she says to him, I am the daughter of Bethu El the son of Milchah whom she birthed to Nachor. ²⁵ She also says to him, We have both much straw and provender and place to stay overnight. ²⁶ And the man bows and prostrates to Yah Veh: ²⁷ and he says, Blessed be Yah Veh Elohim of my adoni Abraham, who forsakes not my adoni of his mercy and his truth: I - in the way, Yah Veh leads me to the house of the brothers of my adoni. ²⁸ And the lass runs and tells these words to them of the house of her mother. ²⁹ And Ribqah has a brother whose name is Laban: and Laban runs out to the man, to the fountain: ³⁰ and so be it, when he sees the nosering and bracelets on the hands of his sister and when he hears the words of Ribqah his sister, saying, Thus the man words to me; that he comes to the man; and behold, he stands by the camels at the fountain: ³¹ and he says, Come in, you blessed of Yah Veh; why stand outside? for I prepare the house and place for the camels. ³² And the man comes to the house: and he loosens his camels and gives straw and provender for the camels and water to bathe his feet and the feet of the men with him. ³³ And they set at his face to eat: but he says, I eat not until I word my word. And he says, Word. ³⁴ And he says, I am servant of Abraham: ³⁵ and Yah Veh blessed my adoni mightily and he greatened: and he gave him flocks and oxen and silver and gold and servants and maids and camels and he burros. ³⁶ And Sarah the woman of my adoni birthed a son to my adoni when she was aged: and gave him all he has. ³⁷ And my adoni oathed me, saying, Take not a woman to my son of the daughters of the Kenaaniy in whose land I settle: ³⁸ but go to the house of my father and my family and take a woman to my son. ³⁹ And I say to my adoni, Perhaps the woman wills to not go after me. ⁴⁰ And he says to me, Yah Veh, at whose face I walk, sends his angel with you to prosper your way; take a woman for my son of my family and of the house of my father: ⁴¹ then you become exonerated from my oath when you come to my family: and if they not give you, you become exonerated from my oath. ⁴² And I come this day to the fountain and say, O Yah Veh Elohim of my adoni Abraham, if now you prosper the way I go: ⁴³ behold, I station myself by the fountain of water; and so be it, that when the virgin comes to bail and I say to her, Give me, I pray you, a little water from your pitcher to drink; ⁴⁴ and she says to me, Both, you drink; and I also bail for your camels - let that be the woman whom Yah Veh approves for the son of my adoni. ⁴⁵ And ere I finish wording in mine heart, behold, Ribqah comes with her pitcher on her shoulder; and she descends to the fountain and bails: and I say to her, Give me drink, I pray you. ⁴⁶ And she hastens and lowers her pitcher and says, Drink and I water your camels also: so I drink and she waters the camels also. ⁴⁷ And I ask her and say, Whose daughter are you? And she says, the daughter of Bethu El, the son of Nachor, whom Milchah birthed to him. - and I put the nosering on her nostrils and the bracelets on her hands: ⁴⁸ and I bow and prostrate to Yah Veh and bless Yah Veh Elohim of my adoni Abraham, who led me in the way of truth to take the daughter of the brother of my adoni to his son. ⁴⁹ And now if you work in mercy and truth with my adoni, tell me: and if not, tell me; so that I face right, or left. ⁵⁰ Then Laban and Bethu El answer and say, The word proceeds from Yah Veh: we cannot word to you evil or good. ⁵¹ Behold, Ribqah faces you, take and go, to become the woman of the son of your adoni as Yah Veh worded. ⁵² And so be it, when the servant of Abraham hears their words, he prostrates to Yah Veh - prostrating to the earth: ⁵³ and the servant brings instruments of silver and instruments of gold and clothing and gives them to Ribqah: he also gives preciousnesses to her brother and to her mother: ⁵⁴ and they eat and drink - he and the men with him and stay overnight; and they rise in the morning, and he says, Send me to my adoni. ⁵⁵ And her brother and her mother say, Let the lass sit with us days - or ten; and after that, go. ⁵⁶ And he says to them, Delay me not, seeing Yah Veh prospers my way; send me to go to my adoni. ⁵⁷ And they say, We call the lass and ask at her mouth. ⁵⁸ And they call Ribqah and say to her, Go you with this man? And she says, I go. ⁵⁹ And they send Ribqah their sister and her suckler and the servant of Abraham and his men: ⁶⁰ and they bless Ribqah and say to her, You are our sister - become myriads of millions, so that your seed possesses the portal of those who hate it. ⁶¹ And Ribqah and her lasses rise and ride on the camels and go after the man: and the servant takes Ribqah and goes. ⁶² And Yischaq comes from the way of Beer Lachay Roi; for he settles in the south land: ⁶³ and Yischaq goes to meditate in the field at the face of the evening: and he lifts his eyes and sees, and behold, the camels coming. ⁶⁴ And Ribqah lifts her eyes and she sees Yischaq, and she falls off the camel: ⁶⁵ and she says to the servant, Who is this very man walking in the field to meet us? And the servant says, It is my adoni. - and she takes a veil and covers herself. ⁶⁶ And the servant describes to Yischaq all words he worked. ⁶⁷ And Yischaq brings her into the tent of his mother Sarah and takes Ribqah: and she becomes his woman; and he loves her: and Yischaq sighs after his mother.

³⁴ And Esav is a son of forty years when he takes to woman Yah Hudith the daughter of Beeri the Hethiy and Bosmath the daughter of Elon the Hethiy:

⁹ And Esav says, I have much, my brother; keep what you have to yourself. ¹⁰ And Yaaqov says, No, I beseech you, if, I beseech, I find charism in your eyes, then take my offering from my hand: because I see your face as seeing the face of Elohim; and you are pleased. ¹¹ Take, I beseech you, the blessing I bring you; because Elohim grants me charism and because I have all. - and he urges him and he takes.

²³ And Yoseph sees the sons of Ephrayim to the third: also the sons of Machir the son of Menash Sheh birthed on the knees of Yoseph.

¹⁴ And Elohim says to Mosheh, I AM who I AM: and he says, Say thus to the sons of Yisra El, I AM sent me to you. Read Yahn 8:58 ¹⁵ And again Elohim says to Mosheh, Say thus to the sons of Yisra El, Yah Veh Elohim of your fathers, Elohim of Abraham, Elohim of Yischaq and Elohim of Yaaqov, sends me to you: this is my name eternally and this is my memorial generation to generation.

⁷ Remove afar from a false word; and the innocent and just slaughter you not: for I justify not the wicked. ⁸ And take no bribe: for the bribe blinds the open-eyed and perverts the words of the just.

²⁹ O give that there were such a heart in them, that they awe me and guard all my misvoth all days, that it well-please them and their sons eternally!

¹⁹ Neither deviate judgment nor recognize faces nor take a bribe: for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and perverts the words of the just.

MEN OF EPHRAYIM FEEL SLIGHTED
And the men of Ephrayim say to him, In working, why work you this word, to not call us, when you go to fight with the Midyaniy? - and they strongly contend with him. ² And he says to them, What work I now compared to you? Is not the gleaning of Ephrayim better than the crop of Abi Ezer? ³ Elohim gave into your hands the governors of Midyaniy, Oreb and Zeeb: and what can I work compared to you? - and he words that word, and they slacken their spirit toward him.

THE EPHRAYIM FEEL SLIGHTED
And they summon the men of Ephrayim; and they pass over northward and say to Yiphtach, Why pass you over to fight the sons of Ammon and call not us to go with you? We burn your house on you with fire! ² And Yiphtach says to them, I became a man of mighty strife - I and my people with the sons of Ammon; and when I cried to you, you saved me not from their hands; ³ and when I saw you saved me not, I set my soul in my palms and passed over against the sons of Ammon; and Yah Veh gives them into my hand. Why then ascend you to me this day, to fight me? ⁴
JUDGE YIPHTACH FIGHTS EPHRAYIM
Then Yiphtach gathers all the men of Gilad and fights Ephrayim: and the men of Gilad smite Ephrayim, because they say, You Giladiy are escapees of Ephrayim among the Ephrayimiy and among the Menash Shiy. ⁵ And the Giladiy capture the passages of Yarden in front of the Ephrayimiy: and so be it, when those Ephrayimiy escapees say, Let me pass over! that the men of Gilad say to him, Are you an Ephrayim? If he says, No! ⁶ then they say to him, Say now Shibboleth: and he says Sibboleth: for he prepares not to word right: and they hold him and slaughter him at the passages of Yarden: and there falls at that time of the Ephrayimiy forty-two thousand.

¹⁶ And Ruth says, Intercede not that I leave you, or return from following after you; for where you go, I go; and where you stay overnight, I stay overnight; your people are my people and your Elohim, my Elohim;

³² And you, look at the tribulation of my habitation, in all that Elohim well-prepares for Yisra El: that there not be an old man in your house all days: ³³ and the man of yours, whom I cut not off from my sacrifice altar, finishes off your eyes and lanquishes your soul: and of all the increase of your house, these men die. ³⁴ And this is a sign to you to come on your two sons - on Hophni and Pinechas; in one day they die - both of them: ³⁵ and I raise me a trustworthy priest, to work according to what is in my heart and in my soul: and I build him a permanent house; and he walks at the face of my anointed all days.

³ and his sons walk not in his ways, but spread after greed and take bribes and pervert judgment.

³ Behold, here am I: answer against me in front of Yah Veh and in front of his anointed: Whose ox took I? Whose he burro took I? Whom extorted I? Whom crushed I? Of whose hand took I a koper/an atonement to veil my eyes therewith? - and I restore it to you.

³ And Yah Nathan and David cut a covenant because he loves him as his own soul:

² and Yah Nathan son of Shaul delights mightily in David: and Yah Nathan tells David, saying, Shaul my father seeks to deathify you: and now, I beseech you, guard yourself until the morning and settle covertly and hide:

³⁵ And David takes from her hand what she brings him, and says to her, Ascend in shalom to your house! See, I hearken to your voice and spare your face. ³⁶ And Abi Gail comes to Nabal; and behold, he holds a banquet in his house, as the banquet of a sovereign; and the heart of Nabal is good within him, and he is mighty intoxicated: she tells him no word, less or great, until the morning light. ³⁷ And so be it, in the morning, the wine is gone from Nabal and his woman tells him these words; and his heart dies within him and he becomes as a stone. ³⁸ And so be it, about ten days, and Yah Veh smites Nabal and he dies.

¹⁴ And Abi Ner says to Yah Ab, Have the lads now rise and entertain at our face. And Yah Ab says, Rise. ¹⁵ And they rise and pass over by number twelve of Ben Yamin of Ish Bosheth the son of Shaul and twelve of the servants of David: ¹⁶ each man holds his friend by the head and his sword in the side of his friend; and they fall together: and they call that place Helgath Hats Surim - in Gibon. ¹⁷ And there is a mighty hard war that day; and Abi Ner and the men of Yisra El are smitten at the face of the servants of David.

²³ And Yah Ab and all the host with him come and tell Yah Ab, saying, Abi Ner the son of Ner came to the sovereign, and he sent him away, and he goes in shalom. ²⁴ And Yah Ab comes to the sovereign, and says, What work you? Behold, Abi Ner came to you. Why sent you him away - in walking, to walk away? ²⁵ You know Abi Ner the son of Ner came to entice thee - to know your rising and your entering, - to know all you work.

³⁹ And this day I am tender, though anointed sovereign; and these men - the sons of Seruyah are too hard for me: Yah Veh shalams the worker of evil according to his evil.

THE MERCY OF DAVID
And David says, Remain there yet any of the house of Shaul to work mercy for sake of Yah Nathan? ² And there is a servant of the house of Shaul; his name is Siba: and they call him to David, and the sovereign says to him, Are you Siba? And he says, Your servant. ³ And the sovereign says, Is there finally a man of the house of Shaul to whom I work the mercy of Elohim? And Siba says to the sovereign, Yah Nathan has yet a son with smitten feet. ⁴ And the sovereign says to him, Where is he? And Siba says to the sovereign, Behold, he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammi El in Lo Debar. ⁵ Then sovereign David sends and takes him from the house of Machir the son of Ammi El from Lo Debar. ⁶ And Mephi Bosheth the son of Yah Nathan the son of Shaul comes to David; and he falls on his face and prostrates. And David says, Mephi Bosheth. And he says, Behold, your servant! ⁷ And David says to him, Awe not: for in working, I work you mercy for sake of Yah Nathan your father; and restore all the field of Shaul your father to you - that you eat bread at my table continually. ⁸ And he prostrates himself and says, What is your servant, that you face such a dead dog as I? ⁹ Then the sovereign calls to Siba the lad of Shaul and says to him, All being to Shaul and to all his house I give to the son of your adoni: ¹⁰ and you and your sons and your servants serve the soil for him and bring in; so that the son of your adoni has bread to eat: but Mephi Bosheth the son of your adoni eats bread at my table continually. - and Siba has fifteen sons and twenty servants. ¹¹ And Siba says to the sovereign, According to all my adoni the sovereign misvahs his servant, thus your servant works. As for Mephi Bosheth, he eats at my table as one of the sons of the sovereign. ¹² And Mephi Bosheth has a young son; his name is Michah Yah. And so be it, after this, Abi Shalom the son of David has a beautiful sister, and her name is Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loves her; ² and Amnon is so depressed he falls sick for his sister Tamar; for she is a virgin; and it is marvellous in the eyes of Amnon to work aught to her. ³ And Amnon has a friend, and his name is Yah Nadab the son of Shimah the brother of David; and Yah Nadab is a mighty wise man: ⁴ and he says to him, Why are you, the son of the sovereign, so poor morning by morning? Why not tell me? And Amnon says to him, I love Tamar the sister of my brother Abi Shalom. ⁵ And Yah Nadab says to him, Lie down on your bed and make yourself sick: and when your father comes to see you, say to him, I pray you, have my sister Tamar come and cut me bread to chew and work cuttings in my eyes that I may see and eat from her hand. ⁶ So Amnon lies down and makes himself sick: and when the sovereign comes to see him Amnon says to the sovereign, I pray you, have Tamar my sister come and bake me a couple of cakes in my eyes, that I may chew from her hand. ⁷ And David sends home to Tamar, saying, Go now to the house of your brother Amnon and work him cuttings. ⁸ So Tamar goes to the house of her brother Amnon; and he lies down: and she takes dough and kneads and bakes in his eyes and ripens the cakes: ⁹ and she takes a pan and pours them at his face; but he refuses to eat. And Amnon says, Send all the men from me! - and every man goes from him. ¹⁰ And Amnon says to Tamar, Bring the cuttings into the chamber, that I may chew from your hand. And Tamar takes the cakes she worked and brings them into the chamber to her brother Amnon: ¹¹ and she brings them near to him to eat and he holds her and says to her, Come lie down with me, my sister. ¹² And she says to him, No, my brother, humble me not; for such ought not to be worked in Yisra El: work not this folly: ¹³ And I, where goes my reproach? And as for you, you become as one of the fools in Yisra El: and now, I pray you, word to the sovereign; for he withholds me not from you. ¹⁴ Howbeit he wills to not hearken to her voice: but, being tougher than she, he humbles her and lies down with her: ¹⁵ and Amnon hates her mightily; so that the hatred wherewith he hates her is greater than the love wherewith he loved her. And Amnon says to her, Rise! Go! ¹⁶ And she says to him, No! This evil in sending me away is greater than the other that you worked me. - and he wills to not hearken to her. ¹⁷ And he calls his lad who ministers to him and says, Send this away from me now and enclose the door after her. ¹⁸ And she has a coverall coat on her: for with such mantles were the virgin daughters of the sovereign enrobed: and his minister brings her out and encloses the door after her. ¹⁹ And Tamar takes ashes on her head and rips the coverall coat on her and sets her hand on her head: and in walking, walks on crying. ²⁰ And Abi Shalom her brother says to her, Has Amnon your brother been with you? Hush now, my sister; he is your brother: set not your heart to this word. - and Tamar settles desolate in the house of her brother Abi Shalom. ²¹ And sovereign David hears of all these words and he is mightily inflamed: ²² and Abi Shalom words to his brother Amnon neither good nor evil: for Abi Shalom hates Amnon, for word that he abased his sister Tamar.

And so be it, afterward, Abi Shalom works him chariots and horses and fifty men to run at his face:

¹² And Abi Shalom sends for Achiy Thophel the Gilohiy the counsellor of David from his city - from Giloh as he sacrifices sacrifices: and the conspiracy is strong; for many people walk with Abi Shalom.

And David is a little past the top, and behold, Siba the lad of Mephi Bosheth meets him with a pair of harnessed he burros; and on them two hundred bread and a hundred raisincakes and a hundred summer fruits and a bag of wine. ² And the sovereign says to Siba, What mean you by these?
