¹⁰ If a man gives his friend a he burro, or an ox, or a lamb, or any animal to guard; and it dies or is broken or captured - no man seeing it:

⁸ But he refuses, and says to the woman of his adoni, Behold, my master perceives not what is with me in the house and he gives all he has into my hand;

⁴⁸ But whoever knows not whose doings are worthy of plagues is flogged little. For to whomever much is given, of him much is sought: and to whom men set forth much, of him they ask superabundantly.

¹¹ So if you are not trustworthy in the unjust mammon, who entrusts you with the true?

¹² For which cause I also suffer these: yet I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have trusted and am convinced that he is able to guard what I surrender to him to that day.
