¹⁵ And the prayer of faith shall save the sick man. And the Lord shall raise him up: and if he be in sins, they shall be forgiven him.

²⁴ Neither shall he that is near, say: I am feeble. The people that dwell therein, shall have their iniquity taken away from them.

² And behold they brought to him one sick of the palsy lying in a bed. And Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the man sick of the palsy: Be of good heart, son, thy sins are forgiven thee. ³ And behold some of the scribes said within themselves: He blasphemeth. ⁴ And Jesus seeing their thoughts, said: Why do you think evil in your hearts? ⁵ Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins are forgiven thee: or to say, Arise, and walk? ⁶ But that you may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then said he to the man sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go into thy house.

^{20 (17:19)} Jesus said to them: Because of your unbelief. For, amen I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain: Remove from hence hither, and it shall remove: and nothing shall be impossible to you.

²¹ And Jesus answering, said to them: Amen, I say to you, if you shall have faith and stagger not, not only this of the fig tree shall you do, but also if you shall say to this mountain, Take up and cast thyself into the sea, it shall be done. ²² And all things whatsoever you shall ask in prayer believing, you shall receive.

⁵ And when Jesus had seen their faith, he saith to the sick of the palsy: Son, thy sins are forgiven thee. ⁶ And there were some of the scribes sitting there and thinking in their hearts: ⁷ Why doth this man speak thus? He blasphemeth. Who can forgive sins, but God only? ⁸ Which Jesus presently knowing in his spirit that they so thought within themselves, saith to them: Why think you these things in your hearts? ⁹ Which is easier, to say to the sick of the palsy: Thy sins are forgiven thee; or to say: Arise, take up thy bed and walk? ¹⁰ But that you may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins (he saith to the sick of the palsy): ¹¹ I say to thee: Arise. Take up thy bed and go into thy house.

²² And Jesus answering, saith to them: Have the faith of God. ²³ Amen I say to you that whosoever shall say to this mountain, Be thou removed and be cast into the sea, and shall not stagger in his heart, but be believe that whatsoever he saith shall be done; it shall be done unto him. ²⁴ Therefore I say unto you, all things, whatsoever you ask when ye pray, believe that you shall receive: and they shall come unto you.

¹⁷ And these signs shall follow them that believe: In my name they shall cast out devils. They shall speak with new tongues. ¹⁸ They shall take up serpents: and if they shall drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them. They shall lay their hand upon the sick: and they shall recover.

¹⁴ Afterwards, Jesus findeth him in the temple and saith to him: Behold thou art made whole: sin no more, lest some worse thing happen to thee.

³⁰ Therefore are there many infirm and weak among you: and many sleep. ³¹ But if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. ³² But whilst we are judged, we are chastised by the Lord, that we be not condemned with this world.

²⁸ And God indeed hath set some in the church; first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly doctors: after that miracles: then the graces of healings, helps, governments, kinds of tongues, interpretations of speeches. ²⁹ Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all doctors? ³⁰ Are all workers of miracles? Have all the grace of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?

⁶ But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea, which is moved and carried about by the wind.

¹³ Is any of you sad? Let him pray: Is he cheerful in mind? Let him sing.

¹⁶ Confess therefore your sins one to another: and pray one for another, that you may be saved. For the continual prayer of a just man availeth much.

¹⁴ And this is the confidence which we have towards him: That, whatsoever we shall ask according to his will, he heareth us. ¹⁵ And we know that he heareth us whatsoever we ask: we know that we have the petitions which we request of him. ¹⁶ He that knoweth his brother to sin a sin which is not to death, let him ask: and life shall be given to him who sinneth not to death. There is a sin unto death. For that I say not that any man ask.
