¹ The Ancient to the lady Elect and her children, whom I love in the truth: and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth,

³ It seemed good to me also, having diligently attained to all things from the beginning, to write to thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,

³² And you shall know the truth: and the truth shall make you free.

⁵ To whom we yielded not by subjection: no, not for an hour: that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.

¹⁴ But when I saw that they walked not uprightly unto the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas before them all: If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of the Gentiles and not as the Jews do, how dost thou compel the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

¹ O senseless Galatians, who hath bewitched you that you should not obey the truth: before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been set forth, crucified among you?

⁷ You did run well. What hath hindered you, that you should not obey the truth?

⁴ As he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and unspotted in his sight in charity. ⁵ Who hath predestinated us unto the adoption of children through Jesus Christ unto himself: according to the purpose of his will:

⁵ For the hope that is laid up for you in heaven, which you have heard in the word of the truth of the gospel,

³ Being mindful of the work of your faith and labour and charity: and of the enduring of the hope of our Lord Jesus Christ before God and our Father. ⁴ Knowing, brethren, beloved of God, your election:

⁴ Who will have all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

²⁶ For if we sin wilfully after having the knowledge of the truth, there is now left no sacrifice for sins:

² According to the foreknowledge of God the Father, unto the sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ. Grace unto you and peace be multiplied.

²² Purifying your souls in the obedience of charity, with a brotherly love, from a sincere heart love one another earnestly: ²³ Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but incorruptible, by the word of God who liveth and remaineth for ever.

¹ The ancients therefore that are among you, I beseech who am myself also an ancient and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as also a partaker of that glory which is to be revealed in time to come:

²¹ I have not written to you as to them that know not the truth, but as to them that know it: and that no lie is of the truth.

¹⁸ My little children, let us not love in word nor in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

² For the sake of the truth which dwelleth in us and shall be with us for ever. ³ Grace be with you, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Christ Jesus the Son of the Father: in truth and charity.

⁵ And now I beseech thee, lady, not as writing a new commandment to thee, but that which we have had from the beginning, that we love one another.

¹³ The children of thy sister Elect salute thee.

¹³ I had many things to write unto thee: but I would not by ink and pen write to thee. ¹⁴ But I hope speedily to see thee: and we will speak mouth to mouth. Peace be to thee. Our friends salute thee. Salute the friends by name.
