Matthew 25:14-30
14 "For it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his property to them.
15 To one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey.
16 He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them; and he made five talents more.
17 So also, he who had the two talents gained two more.
18 But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground, and hid his master's money.
19 Now after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them.
20 So he who had received the five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, 'Master, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents.'
21 His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your master.'
22 He also who had received the two talents came and said, 'Master, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents.'
23 His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your master.'
24 Then he who had received the one talent came and said, 'Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed.
25 So I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Here you have what is yours.'
26 But his master answered him, 'You wicked and lazy servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed?
27 Then you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest.
28 Therefore take the talent from him, and give it to him who has the ten talents.
29 For to every one who has will more be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.

1 He also said to his disciples: "There was a certain rich man who had a steward, and an accusation was brought to him that this man was wasting his goods.
2 So he called him and said to him, 'What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your stewardship, for you can no longer be steward.'
3 The steward said to himself, 'What shall I do, since my master is taking the stewardship away from me? I am not strong enough to dig, and I am ashamed to beg.
4 I have decided what to do, so that people may receive me into their houses when I am put out of the stewardship.'
5 So he called in each one of his master's debtors, and he said to the first, 'How much do you owe my master?'
6 And he said, 'A hundred measures of oil.' So he said to him, 'Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.'
7 Then he said to another, 'And how much do you owe?' And he said, 'A hundred measures of wheat.' He said to him, 'Take your bill, and write eighty.'
8 So the master commended the dishonest steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation than the sons of light.
9 And I tell you, make friends for yourselves by means of unrighteous mammon, so that when it fails, they may receive you into the eternal dwellings.
10 He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much; and he who is dishonest in a very little is dishonest also in much.
11 If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will trust you with the true riches?
12 And if you have not been faithful in what is another's, who will give you what is your own?
Luke 19:12-27
12 Therefore he said: "A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and then return.
13 So he called ten of his servants, gave them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come.'
14 But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, 'We do not want this man to reign over us.'
15 And so it was that when he returned, having received the kingdom, he then commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by trading.
16 Then came the first, saying, ' Master, your mina has earned ten minas more.'
17 And he said to him, 'Well done, good servant! Because you have been faithful in a very little, be in authority over ten cities.'
18 And the second came, saying, 'Master, your mina has earned five minas.'
19 Likewise he said to him, 'You also be over five cities.'
20 Then another came, saying, 'Master, here is your mina, which I have kept laid away in a handkerchief;
21 for I was afraid of you, because you are a hard man. You take up what you did not lay down, and reap what you did not sow.'
22 He said to him, 'I will judge you out of your own mouth, you wicked servant! You knew that I was a hard man, taking up what I did not lay down and reaping what I did not sow?
23 Why then did you not put my money in the bank, that at my coming I might have collected it with interest?'
24 And he said to those who stood by, 'Take the mina from him, and give it to him who has ten minas.'
25 And they said to him, 'Master, he has ten minas already!'
26 'I tell you, that to every one who has will more be given; but from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away.

Romans 12:6-8
6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith;
7 if service, let us use it in our serving; he who teaches, in his teaching;
8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.

5 What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, even as the Lord assigned to each one.
1 Corinthians 4:1-2
1 Corinthians 12:4
4 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit.
1 Corinthians 12:7-29
7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.
8 To one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit,
9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,
10 and to another the working of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another distinguishing between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues.
11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as he wills.
12 For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so it is with Christ.
13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one bodywhether Jews or Greeks, slaves or freeand we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
14 For the body is not made up of one member but of many.
15 If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason be any less a part of the body.
16 And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason be any less a part of the body.
17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell?
18 But now God has arranged the members in the body, each one of them, just as he desired.
19 If they were all one member, where would the body be?
20 As it is, there are many parts, but one body.
21 And the eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need of you," nor again the head to the feet, "I have no need of you."
22 On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable,
23 and those parts of the body which we think less honorable we treat with the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty,
24 while our more presentable members have no need of it. But God has so composed the body, giving the greater honor to the parts that lacked it,
25 so that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another.
26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
27 Now you are the body of Christ, and individually members of it.
28 And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, then those having gifts of healings, helps, administrations, and those speaking in various kinds of tongues.
29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles?
Ephesians 4:11
11 And he gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,

9 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.
10 As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of God's varied grace.
11 Whoever speaks is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belongs the glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
