¹ Ask from Yahweh rain in season, the former and the latter rain; Yahweh is making perceptible portents, and a downpour of rain will He give for them, to each man herbage in the field."

¹³ It will come to be when you shall hearken, yea hearken to My instructions that I am enjoining on you today, to love Yahweh your Elohim and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul, ¹⁴ then He will give rain to your land in its season, the former rain and the latter rain. You will gather your grain, your grape juice and your clarified oil,

²³ Your heavens that are over your head will come to be as copper, and the earth that is beneath you as iron.

¹ And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, `Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, lives, before whom I have stood, there is not these years dew and rain, except according to my word..

⁴¹ And Elijah said to Ahab, `Go up, eat and drink, because of the sound of the noise of the shower.. <sup>42</sup> And Ahab goes up to eat, and to drink, and Elijah has gone up unto the top of Carmel, and he stretches himself out on the earth, and he places his face between his knees, <sup>43</sup> and said unto his young man, `Go up, I pray you, look attentively the way of the sea;' and he goes up and looks attentively, and said, `There is nothing;' and he said, `Turn back,' seven times. ⁴⁴ And it comes to pass, at the seventh, that he said, `Lo, a little thickness as the palm of a man is coming up out of the sea.' And he said, `Go up, say unto Ahab, `Bind--and go down, and the shower does not restrain you.. ⁴⁵ And it comes to pass, in the meantime, that the heavens have become black--thick clouds and wind--and the shower is great; and Ahab rides, and goes to Jezreel,

²³ They waited for me as for rain, And they gaped with their mouth as for the latter rain.

²⁷ For He condenses the drops of water That filter as rain for His mist, ²⁸ That exude from the skies And drip down on humanity as showers. ²⁹ Indeed, can one understand the spreading, thick clouds, The thunderous tumults from His booth? ³⁰ Behold, He spreads His mist over it, And covers the roots of the sea. ³¹ For with them He gives sustenance to the peoples; He gives food in abundance.

¹ Indeed, at this my heart trembles And leaps out of its place. ² Hearken, yea hearken to the thunderous sound of His voice And the rumbling soliloquy that comes forth from His mouth;" ³ Under the entire heavens He unleashes it, And His lightning over the wings of the earth. ⁴ After it roars a voice; He thunders with His swelling voice And does not stem them so that His voice is heard. ⁵ El thunders marvelously with His voice, Doing great things that we cannot know. ⁶ For He says to the snow, Fall on the earth, And to the downpour of rain, even His strong downpours of rains.

⁹ You will supervise the land and shall make it flourish; Much shall you enrich it. The rillet of Elohim will fill with water. You shall provide their grain, for thus shall You prepare it."

⁶ He shall descend like rain on the grassland, Like showers, drenching the earth."

¹³ You are the One irrigating the mountains from His upper chambers; From the fruit of Your works the earth is satisfied:

¹⁵ In the light of a king's countenance is life, And his benevolence is like a thick cloud of latter rain."

⁶ And I am making My vineyard into a chaos, and it is not being pruned. And not being hoed, and up come buckthorn and spines. And I am instructing the thick clouds over it to keep from raining rain on it."

²³ And he will give rain for your seed with which you shall sow the ground, and bread, the income of the ground. And it comes to be sleek and stout. Your cattle will graze, in that day, in a widened meadow."

³ For I will pour water on the thirsty, and floods on the dry land. I will pour My spirit on your seed, and My blessing on your offspring."

¹³ At the voice He gives forth, A multitude of waters [is] in the heavens, And He causes vapours to come up from the end of the earth, Lightnings for rain He has made, And brings out wind from His treasures."

²² Are there among the vanities of the nations any causing rain? And do the heavens give showers? Are not You He, O Yahweh our Elohim? And we wait for you, for You--You have done all these!"

¹⁶ At the voice He gives forth, A multitude of waters [are] in the heavens, And He causes vapours to come up from the end of the earth, Lightnings for rain He has made, And He brings out wind from His treasures."

²⁶ And I have given them, and the suburbs of my hill, a blessing, And caused the shower to come down in its season, Showers of blessing they are."

³⁷ Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Yet this I am required, By the house of Israel to do to them, I multiply them as a flock of men,

³ And we shall know--we shall pursue to know Yahweh; as the dawn is prepared we shall find Him, and He will come to us as a downpour, as the latter rain and the former rain of the land."

¹² Sow for yourselves for righteousness and reap the fruit of kindness. Till tillage for yourselves. Then is the season to inquire for Yahweh, until He shall come and direct righteousness to you."

²³ Then, sons of Zion, exult! And rejoice in Yahweh, your Elohim! For He will give to you the former rain in just measure, and He will bring down for you the downpour, the former rain and the latter rain as at first." ²⁴ The threshing sites shall be full with cereal, and the wine vats shall run over with grape juice and clarified oil."

⁷ And, moreover, I withhold from you the downpour, while still three months to harvest, and I cause rain on one city, and on another city I am not causing rain; one portion was rained upon, and the portion upon which I am not causing rain is drying up."

⁷ And the remnant of Jacob shall come to be among the nations, within many peoples, as the night mist from Yahweh, and as a shower on herbage, which is not expected by man, nor is awaited by the sons of humanity."

⁷ Request and it shall be given you. Seek and you shall find. Knock and it shall be opened to you." ⁸ For everyone who is requesting is obtaining, and who is seeking is finding, and to him who is knocking it shall be opened."

²³ And in that day you will not be asking Me anything. "Verily, verily, I am saying to you that whatever you should be requesting the Father, He will be giving it to you in My name."

⁶ I plant, Apollos irrigates, but God makes it grow up."

⁷ Be patient, then, brethren, till the presence of the Lord. Lo! the farmer is waiting for the precious fruit of the land, being patient about it, till it should be getting the early and late showers."

¹⁶ Then confess sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The operative petition of the just is availing much." ¹⁷ Elijah was a man of like emotions with us, and he prays in prayer for it not to rain, and it does not rain on the land three years and six months." ¹⁸ And again he prays, and heaven gives a shower and the earth germinates her fruit."
