¹ And all the people are gathered as one man unto the broad place that [is] before the water-gate, and they say to Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses, that Yahweh commanded Israel. ² And Ezra the priest brings the law before the assembly, both of men and women, and every one intelligent to hear, on the first day of the seventh month, ³ and he reads in it before the broad place that [is] before the water-gate, from the light till the middle of the day, over-against the men, and the women, and those intelligent, and the ears of all the people [are] unto the book of the law. ⁴ And Ezra the scribe stands on a tower of wood that they made for the purpose, and Mattithiah stands near him, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right; and on his left Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchijah, and Hashum, and Hashbaddana, Zechariah, Meshullam. ⁵ And Ezra opens the book before the eyes of all the people--for above all the people he has been--and at his opening [it] all the people have stood up, ⁶ and Ezra blesses Yahweh, the great Elohim, and all the people answer, `Amen, Amen,' with lifting up of their hands, and they bow and do obeisance to Yahweh--faces to the earth. <sup>7</sup> And Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, giving the people understanding in the law, and the people, [are] on their station, <sup>8</sup> and they read in the book, in the law of Elohim, explaining--so as to give the meaning, and they give understanding to the convocation. <sup>9</sup> And Nehemiah--he [is] the Tirshatha--said (and Ezra the priest, the scribe, and the Levites who are instructing the people) to all the people, `To-day is holy to Yahweh your Elohim, do not mourn, nor weep:' for all the people are weeping at their hearing the words of the law. ¹⁰ And he said to them, `Go, eat fat things, and drink sweet things, and sent portions to him for whom nothing is prepared, for to-day [is] holy to our Lord, and be not grieved, for the joy of Yahweh is your strength.. <sup>11</sup> And the Levites are keeping all the people silent, saying, `Be silent, for to-day [is] holy, and be not grieved.. ¹² And all the people go to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great joy, because they have understood concerning the words that they made known to them. ¹³ And on the second day have been gathered heads of the fathers of all the people, the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to act wisely concerning the words of the law. ¹⁴ And they find written in the law that Yahweh commanded by the hand of Moses, that the sons of Israel dwell in booths in the feast, in the seventh month, ¹⁵ and that they proclaim and cause to pass over all their cities, (and in Jerusalem,) saying, `Go you out to the mount, and bring leaves of the olive, and leaves of the oil tree, and leaves of the myrtle, and leaves of the palms, and leaves of thick trees, to make booths as it is written.. ¹⁶ And the people go out, and bring in, and make for themselves booths, each on his roof, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of Elohim, and in the broad place of the water-gate, and in the broad place of the gate of Ephraim. ¹⁷ And they make--all the assembly of the captives of the captivity--booths, and they sit in booths; for the sons of Israel had not done, from the days of Jeshua son of Nun, so unto that day, and there is very great joy. ¹⁸ And he reads in the book of the law of Elohim day by day, from the first day till the last day, and they make a feast seven days, and on the eighth day a restraint, according to the ordinance.

I have not turned aside from Your instructions, and I have not forgotten. ¹⁴ I have not eaten of it in my sorrow; I have not taken out any of it while unclean, and I have not given of it for the dead. I have hearkened to the voice of Yahweh my Elohim. I have done according to all that You have instructed me.

⁹ Then Moses wrote this law and gave it to the priests, the sons of Levi, the carriers of the coffer of the covenant of Yahweh, and to all the elders of Israel. ¹⁰ And Moses instructed them saying:At the end of seven years, at the appointment of the year of release, at the celebration of booths, ¹¹ when all Israel comes to appear before Yahweh your Elohim in the place that He shall choose, you shall read this law in front of all Israel in their ears. ¹² Assemble the people, the men, the women, the little ones and your sojourner who is within your gates, that they may hear and that they may learn:they must fear Yahweh your Elohim and must observe to keep all the words of this law. ¹³ And their sons, who have not known it, they shall hear; they too must learn to fear Yahweh your Elohim all the days that you are alive on the ground where you are crossing over the Jordan to tenant it.

⁴ and he said, `Blessed [is] Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, who has spoken with His mouth with David my father, and with His hands has fulfilled [it], saying.

¹⁸ And there has not been made a passover like it in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet, and none of the kings of Israel made such a passover as Josiah has made, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel who are found, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

They installed Levites from twenty years of age and above to oversee the work on the House of Yahweh. ⁹ So Jeshua and his sons and his brothers stood as one group with Kadmiel and his sons, of the sons of Hodaviah, to oversee those doing the work on the House of Elohim, also the sons of Henadad, their sons and their brothers, the Levites. ¹⁰ When the builders laid the foundation of the temple of Yahweh, then priests clothed in their vestments, with bugles, and Levites (sons of Asaph) with cymbals, took their stand to praise Yahweh according to the acclamation directions of David king of Israel. ¹¹ They responded by praising and acclaiming Yahweh:For He is good, indeed His benignity toward Israel is for the eon. As for all the people, they shouted a loud shout in praising Yahweh because the foundation of the House of Yahweh had been laid. ¹² Many of the older priests and Levites and patriarchal heads who had seen the former House, were lamenting with a loud voice when the foundation of this House was laid before their eyes. Many others raised up the voice in shouting and rejoicing. ¹³ There was no one of the people recognizing the sound of the rejoicing shout from the sound of the lamenting of the people, for the people were shouting a loud shout, and the sound itself was heard even from afar.

⁶ that Ezra himself came up from Babylon. He was a scribe expert in the law of Moses that Yahweh Elohim of Israel had given. And the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of Yahweh his Elohim on him.

¹¹ Now this is a transcript of the dispatch that king Artaxerxes gave Ezra the priest and scribe, a scholar in matters concerning the instructions of Yahweh and His statutes for Israel.

²⁰ Magpiash, Meshullam, Hezir,

²⁵ Rehum, Hashabnah, Maaseiah,

⁵ and Masseiah son of Baruch, son of Col-Hozeh, son of Hazaiah, son of Adaiah, son of Joiarib, son of Zechariah, son of Shiloni;"

⁷ And these [are] sons of Benjamin:Sallu son of Meshullam, son of Joed, son of Pedaiah, son of Kolaiah, son of Maaseiah, son of Ithiel, son of Jesaiah;"

¹⁶ and Shabbethai, and Jozabad, [are] over the outward work of the house of Elohim, of the heads of the Levites,

¹⁹ And the gatekeepers, Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren, those watching at the gates, [are] a hundred seventy and two.

¹³ of Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;"

²⁴ and heads of the Levites:Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua son of Kadmiel, and their brethren, [are] over-against them, to give praise, to give thanks, by command of David the man of Elohim, charge over-against charge. ²⁵ Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, [are] gatekeepers, keeping charge in the gatherings of the gates. ²⁶ These [are] in the days of Joiakim son of Jeshua, son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest, the scribe.

³³ and Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,

³⁷ and by the gate of the fountain and over-against them, they have gone up by the steps of the city of David, at the going up of the wall beyond the house of David, and unto the water-gate eastward.

³⁹ and from beyond the gate of Ephraim, and by the old-gate, and by the fish-gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, and unto the sheep-gate--and they have stood at the prison-gate.

⁴¹ and the priests, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, Hananiah, with trumpets, ⁴² and Masseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer, and the singers sound, and Jezrahiah the inspector;"

¹⁹ Therefore the rural Jews, those dwelling in unwalled villages, were observing the fourteenth day of the month of Adar as a day of rejoicing and feasting and a cheerful day for sending assigned shares, each man to his associate.

²² as the days on which the Jews found rest from their enemies and as the month when it turned for them from affliction to rejoicing and from mourning to a cheerful day, to observe them as days of feasting and rejoicing and sending assigned shares, each man to his associate, and gifts to the needy.

¹² From the instruction of His lips I do not remove myself; I have secluded in my bosom the sayings of His mouth.

¹⁶ If I have withheld the desire of the poor And have caused the eyes of the widow to fail, ¹⁷ And I have eaten my morsel by myself alone, So that the orphan could not eat of i. ¹⁸ (Indeed from my youth he grew great as with a father, And from the belly of my mother I have guided her),

⁸ The precepts of Yahweh are upright, rejoicing the heart; The instruction of Yahweh is pure, enlightening the eyes;" ⁹ The fear of Yahweh is clean, standing unto the future; The judgments of Yahweh are truth; they are righteous altogether:" ¹⁰ Coveted more than gold, and more than much glittering gold, And sweeter than honey and drips of the combs." ¹¹ Moreover, Your servant is being warned by them; In the keeping of them is a great consequence."

² Hear the voice of my supplications When I implore to You, When I lift up my hands toward Your Innermost Sanctuary."

⁷ Yahweh is my Strength and my Shield; In Him has my heart trusted, And I have been helped So that my heart is joyous, And with my song am I acclaiming Him." ⁸ Yahweh is the Strength of His people, And He is the Stronghold of salvation for His anointed."

¹³ Blessed be Yahweh Elohim of Israel From the eon and unto the eon. {Amen and Amen{ {Permanent{

⁴ So shall I bless You in all my life. In Your Name shall I lift up my palms,

¹⁸ Blessed be Yahweh, Elohim, the Elohim of Israel, Doing marvelous works by Himself alone, ¹⁹ And blessed be His glorious Name for the eon! The entire earth shall be filled with His glory! {Amen and Amen.{

¹⁴ In the way of Your testimonies I am elated, As over all wealth."

¹⁶ In Your statutes am I reveling; I am not forgetting Your word.

⁷² Better to me is the law of Your mouth Than thousands of gold and silver.

⁹⁷ How I love Your law! The entire day it is my meditation.

¹⁰³ How savory are Your promises to my palate, Better than honey to my mouth!" ¹⁰⁴ From Your precepts I gain understanding; Therefore I hate every false path.

¹¹¹ I am allotted Your testimonies for the eon; Indeed they are the elation of my heart.

¹ {A Song of Ascents{ When Yahweh reversed the captivity of Zion, We became like those who are dreaming." ² Then our mouth was filled with mirth And our tongue with jubilant song. Then they said among the nations, Yahweh has done great things in His dealings with these people." ³ Yahweh did do great things in His dealings with us; We were a rejoicing people.

² Lift your hands toward the Sanctuary, And bless Yahweh."

² May my prayer be established as incense before You, The lifting of my palms as the evening approach present."

² May Israel rejoice in its Maker; May the sons of Zion exult in their King.

¹ My son, if you take my words And store up my instructions within you, ² Attending with your ear to wisdom, And you stretch out your heart to comprehension, ³ Indeed if you call out for understanding, And you lift up your voice for comprehension, ⁴ If you seek it as for silver And search for it as for buried treasures, ⁵ Then you shall understand the fear of Yahweh, And you shall find the knowledge of God." ⁶ For Yahweh Himself gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and comprehension;

¹⁰ For wisdom shall come into your heart, And knowledge shall be pleasant to your soul." ¹¹ Foresight, it shall guard you; Comprehension, it shall preserve you,

³³ Hearken to my admonition, and be wise; Do not renounce it." ³⁴ Happy is the man who hearkens to me, Being alert at my doors day by day, Keeping watch at the jambs of my portals."

¹ He who loves admonition loves knowledge, Yet he who hates reproof is irrational."

²² A rejoicing heart does good as a cure, Yet a despondent spirit dries up the ribs."

¹³ My son, eat honey, for it is good, And honeycomb is sweet on your palate;" ¹⁴ Do know that wisdom is so to your soul when you find it, And it has an end so that your expectation shall not be cut off."

²⁴ There is nothing better for a man than that he should eat and drink And cause his soul to see good from his toil; This too I see that it is from the hand of Elohim.

⁴ A season to weep and a season to sport; A season to wail and a season to dance;

¹³ And, moreover, anyone of humanity, That he should eat and drink and see good from all his toil, It is a gift of Elohim."

¹⁸ Behold, that which I have seen that is good, that is fitting is:To eat and to drink and to see good in all one's toil that he is toiling under the sun, During the number of days in his life that the One, Elohim, has given to him, For that is his portion."

⁷ Go, eat your bread with rejoicing, and drink your wine with good heart, For already the One, Elohim, has approved of your works."

² Give a portion to seven, yea even to eight, For you do not know what evil may come upon the earth."

¹ I come to my garden, my sister, O bride; I nip off my myrrh with my aromatics; I eat my wildwood fare with my honey; I drink my wine with my milk. Eat, associates! Drink and be drunken, friends!"

⁷ And he is touching my mouth and saying, "Behold! This touches your lips. And withdrawn is your depravity. And for your sin there is a propitiatory shelter." ⁸ And I am hearing the voice of Yahweh, saying, "Whom shall I send? And who shall go to this nation?And saying am I, "Behold me! Send me!"

²⁰ To the law and to the testimony! If they are not speaking according to this word, there is no bribe for them"

¹ And you will say, in that day, "I am acclaiming You, Yahweh, for You wast angry with me, yet reversing is Your anger, and You are comforting me." ² Behold! El is my Salvation. I am trusting in Him and am not afraid. For my Strength and Melody is Yah, Yahweh, and He is becoming mine for salvation." ³ And you will bail water with elation from the springs of salvation.

⁹ Whom will He direct in knowledge? And to whom will He explain a report? Those weaned from milk. Those pulled away from breasts.

¹ Elated for them shall be the wilderness and the arid place, and exult will the gorge, and bud as a fondled lotus." ² It will bud, yea bud and exult, indeed, with exultation and jubilation. And the glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the honor of Carmel and Sharon. And My people shall see the glory of Yahweh, and the honor of our Elohim." ³ Make steadfast the hands that are slack, and the faltering knees make resolute." ⁴ Say to the hasty of heart:"Be steadfast! You must not fear! Behold! Your Elohim with vengeance shall come, and with the requital of Elohim shall He come and save you."

³ to give rejoicing to the mourners of Zion, to give to them beauty instead of ashes, the oil of elation instead of mourning, the muffler of praise instead of dimness of spirit. And they are called arbiters of righteousness, the planting of Yahweh, to beautify Himself."

¹⁰ With elation will I be elated in Yahweh. My soul shall exult in my Elohim. For he clothes me with the garments of salvation, and in the robe of righteousness will He muffle me, as a bridegroom with a priestly beautiful turban, and as a bride is ornamenting herself with her outfit."

⁸ How do you say, We [are] wise, And the law of Yahweh [is] with us? Surely, lo, falsely it has wrought, The false pen of scribes." ⁹ Ashamed have been the wise, They have been affrighted, and are captured, Lo, against a word of Yahweh they kicked, And the wisdom of what--have they?

¹⁶ Your words have been found, and I eat them, And Your word is to me for a joy, And for the rejoicing of my heart, For Your name is called on me, O Yahweh, Elohim of Hosts."

¹³ and the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, have been--as the place of Tophet--defiled, even all the houses on whose roofs they have made perfume to all the host of the heavens, so as to pour out oblations to other elohims.'"

⁶ Yea, Jeremiah the prophet said, `Amen! so may Yahweh do; Yahweh establish your words that you have prophesied, to bring back the vessels of the house of Yahweh and all the removal from Babylon, unto this place."

²⁹ And come in have the Chaldeans who are fighting against this city, and they have set this city on fire, and have burned it, and the houses on whose roofs they made perfume to Baal, and poured out libations to other elohims, so as to provoke Me to anger."

⁴¹ Let us lift up our heart with our palms to the El in the heavens:

⁶ My people shall be stilled because of failing knowledge, seeing that you reject knowledge. Then I am rejecting you from being a priest for Me, and as you are forgetting the law of your Elohim, I will forget your sons--even I."

²³ Then, sons of Zion, exult! And rejoice in Yahweh, your Elohim! For He will give to you the former rain in just measure, and He will bring down for you the downpour, the former rain and the latter rain as at first."

¹⁶ And it shall come to be that everyone left of all the nations coming against Jerusalem, shall also go up, a quota, year by year, to worship the King, Yahweh of hosts, and to celebrate the celebration of booths." ¹⁷ And it comes, whoever will not go up from the families of the earth, to Jerusalem to worship the King, Yahweh of hosts, then the downpour shall not come on them." ¹⁸ And if a family of Egypt shall not go up, and shall not come, then it is not on them; to it shall come the stroke with which Yahweh will strike all the nations, which will not go up to celebrate the celebration of booths." ¹⁹ This shall be the sin of Egypt, and the sin of all the nations, that will not go up to celebrate the celebration of booths."

⁷ For the lips of a priest shall keep knowledge, and the law shall they seek from his mouth, for the messenger of Yahweh of hosts is he."

¹³ And this which I hate are you doing:to cover the altar of Yahweh with tears, with lamentation and groaning; because I am not facing about to your approach present any more, or taking it with acceptance from your hand."

⁴ Remember the law of Moses, My servant, which I instruct him in Horeb for all Israel, the statutes and judgments."

²¹ You hear that it was declared to the ancients, 'You shall not murder.' Yet whoever should be murdering shall be liable to the judging ²² Yet I am saying to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be liable to the judging. Yet whoever may be saying to his brother, 'Raka!' shall be liable to the Sanhedrin. Yet whoever may be saying, 'Stupid!' shall be liable to the Gehenna of fire.

²⁷ "You hear that it was declared, 'You shall not be committing adultery. ²⁸ Yet I am saying to you that every man looking at a woman to lust for her already commits adultery with her in his heart.

¹³ And mayest Thou not be bringing us into trial, but rescue us from the wicked one.'"

²⁸ And it came, when Jesus finishes these sayings, that the throngs were astonished at His teaching, ²⁹ for He was teaching them as One having authority, and not as their scribes."

⁵² Now He said to them, "Therefore every scribe made a disciple in the kingdom of the heavens is like a man, a householder, who is extracting out of his treasure things new and old."

¹³ Now woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are locking the kingdom of the heavens in front of men. For you are not entering, neither are you letting those entering to enter."

³⁴ Therefore, lo! I am dispatching to you prophets and wise men and scribes. Of them, some you will be killing and crucifying, and of them, some you will be scourging in your synagogues and persecuting from city to city,

³⁹ And coming forward a little, He falls on His face, praying and saying, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass by from Me. However, not as I will, but as Thou!"

³³ And many perceived them going away and recognize them. And, afoot from all the cities, they ran together there, and they came before them and ran together to Him." ³⁴ And, coming out, Jesus perceived a vast throng, and He has compassion on them, for they were as sheep not having a shepherd, and He begins to teach them much."

³⁷ Then he, David, is terming Him 'Lord.' And whence is He his Son?And the vast throng hears Him with relish."

¹⁸ Beware, then, how you are hearing! For whoever may have, to him shall be given, and whoever may not have, from him shall be taken away also what he is supposed to have."

His generation who will be relating? For His life is being taken away from the earth." ³⁴ Now answering, the eunuch said to Philip, "I beseech you, concerning whom is the prophet saying this, concerning himself or concerning some different person? ³⁵ Now Philip, opening his mouth, and beginning from this scripture, evangelizes to him Jesus."

¹⁵ Now, after the reading of the law and the prophets, the chiefs of the synagogue dispatch to them, saying, "Men, brethren, if there is in you any word of entreaty for the people, say it."

²⁷ For those dwelling in Jerusalem and their chiefs, being ignorant of Him and of the voices of the prophets which are read on every sabbath, fulfill them in judging Him."

⁴² Now, at their being out, they entreated that these declarations be spoken to them on the intervening sabbath."

²¹ For Moses, from ancient generations, city by city, has those who are heralding him, being read on every sabbath in the synagogues."

¹⁴ And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple of the city of Thyatira, revering God, heard, whose heart the Lord opens up to heed what is spoken by Paul."

² Now, as was Paul's custom, he entered to them, and on three sabbaths he argues with them from the scriptures, ³ opening up and placing before them that the Christ must suffer and rise from among the dead, and that "This One is the Christ - the Jesus Whom I am announcing to you."

¹¹ Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, who receive the word with all eagerness, examining the scriptures day by day, to see if these have it thus."

⁷ Now on one of the sabbaths, at our having gathered to break bread, Paul argued with them, being about to be off on the morrow. Besides, he prolonged the word unto midnight."

¹¹ Now, going up and breaking bread and tasting, besides conversing a considerable time until daybreak, thus he came away."

²³ Now setting a day for him, more came to him in the lodging, to whom he expounded, certifying to the kingdom of God, besides persuading them concerning Jesus, both from the law of Moses and the prophets, from morning till dusk."

²⁰ because, by works of law, no flesh at all shall be justified in His sight, for through law is the recognition of sin."

⁹ Now I lived, apart from law, once, yet at the coming of the precept Sin revives. Yet I died,

¹⁸ For I am aware that good is not making its home in me (that is, in my flesh), for to will is lying beside me, yet to be effecting the ideal is not."

¹⁶ Else, if you should be blessing in the spirit, how shall he who is filling up the place of a plain person be declaring "Amen!at your giving of thanks, since, in fact, he is not aware what you are saying?

⁹ Now I am rejoicing, not that you were made sorry, but that you were made sorry to repentance. For you were made sorry according to God, that in nothing you may suffer forfeit by us." ¹⁰ For sorrow according to God is producing repentance for unregretted salvation, yet the sorrow of the world is producing death." ¹¹ For lo! this same thing-for you to made sorry according to God - how much it produces in you of diligence, nay, defense, nay, resentment, nay, fear, nay, longing, nay, zeal, nay, avenging! In everything you commend yourselves to be pure in this matter."

² for, in a test of much affliction, the superabundance of their joy and the corresponding depth of their poverty superabounds to the riches of their generosity,

⁸ For this I entreat the Lord thrice, that it should withdraw from me. " ⁹ And He has protested to me, "Sufficient for you is My grace, for My power in infirmity is being perfected.With the greatest relish, then, will I rather be glorying in my infirmities, that the power of Christ should be tabernacling over me. "

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who blesses us with every spiritual blessing among the celestials, in Christ,

⁴ And am I having confidence in flesh, also? If any other one is presuming to have confidence in flesh, I rather:"

¹³ And therefore we also are thanking God unintermittingly that, in accepting the word heard from us, from God you receive, not the word of men, but, according as it truly is, the word of God, which is operating also in you who are believing."

⁸ I am intending, then, that men pray in every place, lifting up benign hands, apart from anger and reasoning."

¹⁷ Those who are rich in the current eon be charging not to be haughty, nor yet to rely on the dubiousness of riches, but on God, Who is tendering us all things richly for our enjoyment;" ¹⁸ to be doing good acts, to be rich in ideal acts, to be liberal contributors,

²⁴ Now a slave of the Lord must not be fighting, but be gentle toward all, apt to teach, bearing with evil, ²⁵ with meekness training those who are antagonizing, seeing whether God may be giving them repentance to come into a realization of the truth,

¹ Therefore we must more exceedingly be heeding what is being heard, lest at some time we may be drifting by." ² For if the word spoken through messengers came to be confirmed, and every transgression and disobedience obtained a fair reward, ³ how shall we be escaping when neglecting a salvation of such proportions which, obtaining a beginning through the speaking of the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who hear Him,

⁸ For if Joshua causes them to stop, He would not have spoken concerning another day after these things."

⁹ By faith he sojourns in the land of promise as in an alien land, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the joint enjoyers of the allotment of the same promise. "

¹³ In faith died all these, not being requited with the promises, but perceiving them ahead and saluting them, and avowing that they are strangers and expatriates on the earth. "

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who, according to His vast mercy, regenerates us into a living expectation, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from among the dead,

⁹ After these things I perceived, and lo! a vast throng which no one was able to number, out of every nation and out of the tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lambkin, clothed in white robes and with palm fronds in their hands."

¹⁰ And those dwelling on the earth are rejoicing over them and are making merry, and will be sending approach presents to one another, seeing that these two prophets torment those dwelling on the earth."
