Joshua 1:1 Cross References - CLV

¹ And it comes to pass after the death of Moses, servant of Yahweh, that Yahweh speaks unto Joshua son of Nun, minister of Moses, saying,

⁹ And Moses said to Joshua: Choose men for us and go forth. Fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will be stationed on the summit of the hill with the rod of Elohim in my hand. ¹⁰ Joshua did just as Moses said to him, to fight with Amalek. As for Moses, Aaron and Hur, they ascended the summit of the hill. ¹¹ Now it came to be just as Moses was raising high his hands that Israel had the mastery, and just as he was giving his hands rest then Amalek had the mastery. ¹² When the hands of Moses became heavy, they took a stone and placed it beneath him, and he sat on it. As for Aaron and Hur, they upheld his hands, from this side one and and from that side one. So it came to be that his hands were constant until sunset. " ¹³ Thus Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

¹³ So Moses and Joshua, his minister, rose, and Moses ascended to the mountain of the One, Elohim.

²⁸ Joshua son of Nun, minister of Moses from his prime, answered and said:My lord Moses, forbid them!"

⁷ Not so with My servant Moses. In My whole house he is faithful.

⁸ for the stock of Ephraim, Hosea son of Nun;"

¹⁶ These were the names of the men whom Moses sent to explore the land. And Moses called Hosea son of Nun, Joshua.

³⁸ Joshua son of Nun, who is standing before you, he shall enter there. Encourage him, for he shall allot it to Israel.

³ Yahweh your Elohim, He is crossing over before you; He Himself shall exterminate these nations from before you, and you will tenant in their place. Joshua, he is crossing over before you just as Yahweh has spoken,

²³ Then He instructed Joshua son of Nun and said:Be steadfast and be resolute! For you shall bring the sons of Israel to the land about which I had sworn to them; and I Myself shall come to be with you.

¹ This is the blessing with which Moses, the man of Elohim, blessed the sons of Israel before his death,

⁵ Moses, the servant of Yahweh, died there in the country of Moab at the bidding of Yahweh.

⁹ Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had supported his hands on him. And the sons of Israel hearkened to him and did just as Yahweh had instructed Moses.

⁶ Moses, servant of Yahweh, and the sons of Israel have smitten them, and Moses, servant of Yahweh, gives it--a possession to the Reubenite, and to the Gadite, and to the half of the tribe of Manasseh.

¹⁶ and Jehu son of Nimshi you do anoint for king over Israel, and Elisha son of Shaphat, of Abel-Meholah, you do anoint for prophet in your stead.

¹¹ And Jehoshaphat said, `Is there not here a prophet of Yahweh, and we seek Yahweh by him?' And one of the servants of the king of Israel answers and said, `Here [is] Elisha son of Shaphat, who poured water on the hands of Elijah..

²⁷ And she comes in unto the man of Elohim, unto the hill, and lays hold on his feet, and Gehazi comes nigh to thrust her away, and the man of Elohim said, `Let her alone, for her soul [is] bitter to her, and Yahweh has hidden [it] from me, and has not declared [it] to me.. <sup>28</sup> And she said, `Did I ask a son from my lord? did I not say, Do not deceive me?. ²⁹ And he said to Gehazi, `Gird up your loins, and take my staff in your hand, and go; when you do meet a man, you do not salute him; and when a man does salute you, you do not answer him; and you have laid my staff on the face of the youth..

²⁵ And he has come in, and does stand by his lord, and Elisha said unto him, `Whence--Gehazi?' and he said, `Your servant went not hither or thither.. ²⁶ And he said unto him, `My heart went not when the man turned from off his chariot to meet you; is it a time to take silver, and to take garments, and olives, and vines, and flock, and herd, and men-servants, and maid-servants? ²⁷ yea, the leprosy of Naaman does cleave to you, and to your seed, --to the eon;' and he goes out from before him--leprous as snow.

²⁶ Not thus is it to be among you. But whosoever may be wanting to become great among you, let him be your servant, ²⁷ and whoever may be wanting to be foremost among you, let him be your slave,

¹⁰ He who is faithful in the least is faithful in much also, and he who is unjust in the least is unjust in much also."

⁴⁵ which also our fathers who succeed him, with Joshua, led into the tenure of the nations, whom God thrusts out from the face of our fathers, till the days of David,

³⁶ For David, indeed, subserving his own generation by God's counsel, was put to repose, and was added to his fathers, and was acquainted with decay;" ³⁷ yet He Whom God rouses was not acquainted with decay.

¹ Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus, a called apostle, severed for the evangel of God"

¹ Paul, a slave of God, yet an apostle of Jesus Christ, in accord with the faith of God's chosen, and a realization of the truth, which accords with devoutness,

¹ James, a slave of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes in the dispersion. Rejoice!"

¹⁸ and the Living One: and I became dead, and lo! living am I for the eons of the eons. (Amen!) And I have the keys of death and of the unseen."
