¹ Then Moses ascended from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, the summit of the Pisgah ridge, which is overlooking Jericho. And Yahweh showed him all the land:Gilead as far as Dan;" ² all the area of Naphtali, all the area of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the area of Judah as far as the sea that is behind it, ³ the Negev and the valley basin of Jericho, the city of palms, as far as Zoar. ⁴ Then Yahweh said to him:This is the land about which I had sworn to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob, saying, To your seed shall I give it. I have let you see it with your eyes, yet you shall not cross over there. ⁵ Moses, the servant of Yahweh, died there in the country of Moab at the bidding of Yahweh. ⁶ Then He entombed him in a ravine in the country of Moab opposite Beth-peor. And no man knows his tomb until this day. ⁷ Moses was a hundred and twenty years old at his death. Neither had his eye dimmed nor had his vitality fled. ⁸ The sons of Israel lamented for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days; then the days of lamentation, the mourning for Moses, came to an end. ⁹ Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had supported his hands on him. And the sons of Israel hearkened to him and did just as Yahweh had instructed Moses. ¹⁰ No prophet arose again in Israel like Moses, whom Yahweh knew face to face;" ¹¹ there was none like him in all the signs and the miracles which Yahweh sent him to do in the country of Egypt to Pharaoh, to all his servants and to all his country, ¹² and none like him in all the steadfast hand and in all the great and fear-inspiring deeds which Moses had done before the eyes of all Israel.

⁷ And appearing is Yahweh to Abram and is saying to him, "To your seed am I giving this land.And building is Abram there an altar to Yahweh, Who appeared to him.

¹⁵ for all the land which you are seeing, to you am I giving it, and to your seed, till the eon.

² that they make war with Bera, king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, and Shinab, king of Admah, and Shemeber, king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela. (It is now Zoar..

⁸ And forth is faring the king of Sodom and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah and the king of Zeboiim and the king of Bela (It is now Zoar). And arranging themselves are they for battle in the vale of the salt fields,

¹⁴ And hearing is Abram that Lot, his brother, is captured. And numbering is he those dedicated to him, born in his household, three hundred and eighteen, and is pursuing them as far as Dan.

¹⁸ In that day Yahweh contracted a covenant with Abram, saying, "To your seed I give this land, from the stream of Egypt as far as the great stream, the stream Euphrates, ¹⁹ the Cainite and the Kenizite and the Kadmonite ²⁰ and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Rephaim ²¹ and the Amorite and the Canaanite and the Hivite and the Girgashite and the Jebusite.

²² Hasten! Escape there, for not a thing can I do till you come there.Therefore he calls the name of the city Zoar.

³ Sojourn in this land, and I come to be with you and will bless you. For to you and to your seed will I give all these lands, and carry out will I the oath which I swore to Abraham, your father.

¹ And coming it is that old is Isaac, dim-sighted are his eyes. And calling is he Esau, his elder son, and is saying to him, "My son!"And saying is he to him, "Behold me!"

¹³ And behold! Yahweh is stationed on it. And saying is He, "I am Yahweh, the Elohim of Abraham, your forefather, and the Elohim of Isaac. Do not fear. The land on which you are lying, to you will I give it, and to your seed.

¹⁰ Yet the eyes of Israel are heavy with age and he cannot see. And close is he bringing them to him. And kissing them is he and embracing them.

³ And fulfilling are they for him forty days, for so they fill the days of the embalmed. And lamenting are the Egyptians with him seventy days.

¹⁰ And coming are they unto the threshing site of Atad, which is across the Jordan, and wailing there are they with an exceedingly great and heavy wailing. And making is he a mourning for his father seven days.

³¹ And I will set your boundary from the Sea of Weeds unto the sea of the Philistines and from the wilderness unto the Stream, for I shall give into your hand the dwellers of the land, and you will drive them out from your presence.

³ I shall fill him with the spirit of Elohim, with wisdom and with understanding and with knowledge, in all work,

¹¹ So Yahweh spoke to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his associate. When he returned to the camp then his minister, Joshua son of Nun, a youth, did not remove himself from the midst of the tent.

¹⁷ I will descend and speak with you there; and I will divert some of the spirit which is on you and place it on them. They will bear the load of the people with you so that you are not bearing it by yourself alone.

⁶ He said:Oh hear My words. If there were a prophet among you, I, Yahweh, in an appearance shall make Myself known to him; in a dream shall I speak to him. ⁷ Not so with My servant Moses. In My whole house he is faithful.

⁷ Not so with My servant Moses. In My whole house he is faithful. ⁸ Mouth to mouth am I speaking with him, and manifestly, not in enigmas, so that he looks at a representation of Yahweh. So for what reason did you not fear to speak against My servant, against Moses?

¹² Yet Yahweh said to Moses and to Aaron:Because you did not believe in Me to sanctify Me before the eyes of the sons of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I will give to them.

²⁹ the whole congregation discerned that Aaron had expired. They lamented for Aaron thirty days, all the house of Israel.

²⁰ and from Bamoth to the ravine which is in the field of Moab, the summit of the Pisgah ridge that gazes over the surface of the desolation.

¹² Yahweh said to Moses:Go up to this mount of the Abarim range and see the land which I give to the sons of Israel.

¹⁸ Yahweh said to Moses:Take to you Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom there is spirit, and support your hands on him;" ¹⁹ have him stand before Eleazar the priest and before the whole congregation and instruct him before their eyes. ²⁰ Put some of your prestige on him so that the whole congregation of the sons of Israel may hearken to him. ²¹ And before Eleazar the priest shall he stand, and he will ask for him the judgment of the Urim before Yahweh. At his bidding shall they go forth and at his bidding they shall enter, he and all the sons of Israel with him, the whole congregation. ²² Moses did just as Yahweh had instructed him. He took Joshua and had him stand him before Eleazar the priest and before the whole congregation. ²³ Then he supported his hands on him and instructed him, just as Yahweh had spoken by means of Moses.

³³ So Moses gave to them, to the sons of Gad and to the sons of Reuben and to the half tribe of Manasseh son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorite and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land belonging to its cities within its territories and the cities of the land around. ³⁴ The sons of Gad rebuilt Dibon, Ataroth, Aroer, ³⁵ Atroth-shophan, Jazer, Jogbehah, ³⁶ Beth-nimran and Beth-haran as fortress cities or stone dikes for flocks. ³⁷ As for the sons of Reuben, they rebuilt Heshbon, Elealeh, Kiriathaim, ³⁸ as well as Nebo and Baal-meon (turned around in name), and Sibmah; for they called the names of the cities which they rebuilt by their own names. ³⁹ The sons of Machir son of Manasseh went to Gilead; they seized it and evicted the Amorite who was in it. ⁴⁰ So Moses gave Gilead to Machir son of Manasseh, and he dwelt in it.

⁴⁷ They journeyed from Almon-diblathaim and encamped in the mountains of the Abarim before Nebo.

³ Your southward edge will be from the wilderness of Zin along the sides of Edom, and your southward boundary will be from the end of the Salt Sea eastward;"

⁶ As for the western boundary, you will come to have the Great Sea and its coastal territory. This shall be your western boundary.

²⁶ Yet Yahweh was enraged with me on account of you and did not hearken to me. Yahweh said to me:Let it be enough for you! Do not continue to speak to Me further on this matter. ²⁷ Ascend to the summit of the Pisgah ridge, and lift up your eyes westward and northward and southward and eastward and see with your eyes, for you shall not cross over this Jordan.

²⁹ So we dwelt in the ravine opposite Beth-peor.

³⁴ Or has an elohim ever tried to come and take for himself a nation from among another nation by trials, by signs and by miracles, by war, by a steadfast hand and by an outstretched arm and by great fear-inspiring deeds, such as all that Yahweh your Elohim did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

⁴ Face to face Yahweh spoke with you at the mount from the midst of the fire ⁵ (I was standing between Yahweh and you at that time, to tell you the word of Yahweh, for you were fearful because of the presence of the fire and did not ascend onto the mountain), saying.

¹⁹ the great probings which your eyes have seen, the signs and the miracles, the steadfast hand and the outstretched arm with which Yahweh your Elohim brought you forth. So shall Yahweh your Elohim do to all the peoples of whom you are fearful because of their presence.

²⁴ Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall become yours. From the wilderness and the Lebanon, from the great stream, the stream Euphrates, as far as the western sea shall become your territory.

¹⁵ A Prophet from among you, from your brothers, like me, shall Yahweh your Elohim raise up for you. To Him shall you hearke. ¹⁶ according to all that you asked from Yahweh your Elohim at Horeb on the day of assembly, saying:Let me not continue to hear the voice of Yahweh my Elohim, and let me not see this great fire any further so that I may not die!" ¹⁷ Then Yahweh said to me:They have done well in all that they have spoken. ¹⁸ A Prophet shall I raise up to them from among their brothers, like you, and I will put My words in His mouth, and He will speak to them all that I shall instruct Him.

² and saying to them:I am a hundred and twenty years old today. No longer am I able to go forth or to come in. And Yahweh has said to me:You shall not cross over this Jordan.

¹⁴ Then Yahweh said to Moses:Behold, near are your days to die. Call Joshua and station yourselves in the tent of appointment, that I may instruct him. So Moses and Joshua went and stationed themselves in the tent of appointment.

⁴⁹ Go up to this mount of the Abarim range (Mount Nebo which is in the country of Moab that is overlooking Jericho), and see the land of Canaan that I am giving to the sons of Israel for a holding;" ⁵⁰ and die on the mount where you are going up, and be gathered to your people, just as Aaron your brother died on Mount Hor and was gathered to his people,

⁵² For from a distance shall you see the land, yet you shall not enter there into the land that I am giving to the sons of Israel.

⁴ Then Yahweh said to him:This is the land about which I had sworn to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob, saying, To your seed shall I give it. I have let you see it with your eyes, yet you shall not cross over there.

¹ And it comes to pass after the death of Moses, servant of Yahweh, that Yahweh speaks unto Joshua son of Nun, minister of Moses, saying, ² `Moses my servant is dead, and now, rise, pass over this Jordan, you, and all this people, unto the land which I am giving to them, to the sons of Israel.

¹⁶ And they answer Joshua, saying, `All that you have commanded us we do; and unto every [place] whither you do send us, we go;" ¹⁷ according to all that we hearkened unto Moses [in], so we hearken unto you; surely Yahweh your Elohim is with you as He has been with Moses. ¹⁸ Any man who does provoke your mouth, and does not hear your words, in all that you do command him, is put to death; only, be strong and courageous..

¹⁰ `And, now, lo, Yahweh has kept me alive, as He has spoken, these forty and five years, since Yahweh spoke this word unto Moses, when Israel went in the wilderness; and now, lo, I [am] to-day a son of five and eighty years;" ¹¹ yet [am] I to-day strong as in the day of Moses' sending me; as my power then, so [is] my power now, for battle, and to go out, and to come in.

¹² And the west border [is] to the great sea, and [its] border; this [is] the border of the sons of Judah round about for their families.

⁴⁷ And the border of the sons of Dan goes out from them, and the sons of Dan go up and fight with Leshem, and capture it, and smite it by the mouth of the sword, and possess it, and dwell in it, and call Leshem, Dan, according to the name of Dan their father.

¹⁶ And the sons of the Kenite, father-in-law of Moses, have gone up out of the city of palms with the sons of Judah [to] the wilderness of Judah, which [is] in the south of Arad, and they go and dwell with the people.

¹³ and he gathers unto him the Bene-Ammon and Amalek, and goes and smites Israel, and they possess the city of palms;"

²⁹ and call the name of the city Dan, by the name of Dan their father, who was born to Israel; and yet Laish [is] the name of the city at the first.

¹ And Samuel dies, and all Israel are gathered, and mourn for him, and bury him in his house, in Ramah; and David rises and goes down unto the wilderness of Paran.

⁹ and You have given to Your servant an understanding heart, to judge Your people, to discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this Your great people?.

¹² lo, I have done according to your words; lo, I have given to you a heart, wise and understanding, that like you there has not been before you, and after you there does not arise like you;"

⁹ And it comes to pass, at their passing over, that Elijah has said unto Elisha, `Ask, what do I do for you before I am taken from you?' and Elisha said, `Then let there be, I pray you, a double portion of your spirit unto me;.

¹⁵ And they see him--the sons of the prophets who [are] in Jericho--over-against, and they say, `Rested has the spirit of Elijah on Elisha;' and they come to meet him, and bow themselves to him to the earth,

¹⁵ and the men who have been expressed by name rise and take hold on the captives, and all their naked ones they have clothed from the spoil, yea, they clothe them, and shoe them, and cause them to eat and drink, and anoint them, and lead them on asses, even every feeble one, and bring them in to Jericho, the city of palms, near their brethren, and turn back to Samaria.

⁴³ When He placed His signs in Egypt, And His miracles in the field of Zoan." ⁴⁴ He turned their waterways to blood, So they could drink from their flowings no more." ⁴⁵ He sent a mixture of flies among them, and it devoured them, And the frog plague, and it ruined them." ⁴⁶ He gave their crop over to the beetle, And the fruit of their labor to the locust." ⁴⁷ He killed their vine with hail, And their mulberry trees with sleet." ⁴⁸ He closed their livestock over to hail, And their cattle to siroccos." ⁴⁹ He sent upon them the heat of His anger, Rage and menace and distress, A mission of the messengers of perils, ⁵⁰ Who aligned a track for His anger; He did not keep back their soul from death, And He closed their life over to the plague." ⁵¹ Then He smote every firstborn in Egypt, The beginning of virility in the tents of Ham." ⁵² But He made His people to journey like a flock, And He led them like a drove in the wilderness." ⁵³ He guided them, in trust, and they were not afraid, Yet the sea covered their enemies." ⁵⁴ Thus He brought them to His holy territory, This hill country that His right hand had acquired." ⁵⁵ He drove out the nations before them, And He allocated to them their allotment by the line. He enabled Israel's tribes to tabernacle in their tents." ⁵⁶ Yet they probed and defied Elohim, the Supreme, And they did not keep His testimonies." ⁵⁷ They were turned away and treacherous like their fathers; They were warped like a deceptive bow. ⁵⁸ They provoked Him to vexation with their high-places, And they made Him jealous with their carvings."

⁹ That He contracted with Abraham, And by His oath to Isaac." ¹⁰ He ratified it to Jacob as a statute, To Israel as a covenant eonian." ¹¹ Saying, To you shall I give the land of Canaan, The region of your allotment."

²⁶ He sent Moses, His servant, And Aaron whom He had chosen." ²⁷ He placed the words of His signs before them, And His miracles before the country of Ham." ²⁸ He sent darkness, and it became very dark, And they could not defy His words." ²⁹ He turned their waters to blood, And He put their fish to death." ³⁰ Their country swarmed with frogs, Into the chambers of their kings." ³¹ He spoke, and there came a mixture of flies, Lice in all their territory." ³² He turned their downpours to hail, With fiery bolts blazing in their country." ³³ He smote their vines and their fig trees, And He broke down the trees of their territory." ³⁴ He spoke, and the locust came, And the young-locust and they were without number." ³⁵ It devoured all the herbage in their country And devoured the fruit of their ground. ³⁶ Then He smote all the firstborn in their country, The beginning of all their virility." ³⁷ Thus He brought His people forth with silver and gold, And there was no one stumbling among their tribes." ³⁸ Egypt rejoiced at their going forth, For alarm over them had fallen upon them."

² And the spirit of Yahweh shall rest on Him:A spirit of wisdom and understanding, a spirit of counsel and mastery, a spirit of knowledge and the fear of Yahweh."

¹ And the righteous one perishes, and no man is laying it to heart, and kind mortals are being gathered, yet no one is understanding. For, in view of the evil, gathered are the righteous,

² in visions of Elohim He has brought me in unto the land of Israel, and causes me to rest on a very high mountain, and upon it [is] as the frame of a city on the south."

³ Then this Daniel is set permanently over the chancellors and satraps, forasmuch as an excellent spirit is in him; moreover the king reflects whether to set him up over all the kingdom."

⁴ Remember the law of Moses, My servant, which I instruct him in Horeb for all Israel, the statutes and judgments."

¹⁷ For the law through Moses was given; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

³⁴ For He Whom God commissions is speaking God's declarations, for God is not giving the spirit by measure."

³⁵ Now the slave is not remaining in the house for the eon. The son is remaining for the eon. ³⁶ If ever, then, the Son should be making you free, you will be really free."

²² Moses, indeed, said that: A Prophet will the Lord your God, be raising up to you from among your brethren, as me. Him you shall hear, according to all, whatsoever He should be speaking to you." ²³ Yet it shall be that every soul whatsoever which should not hear that Prophet shall be utterly exterminated from among the people.

⁶ whom they stand before the apostles. And, praying, they place their hands on them."

²³ Now as his forty-year time was completed, it came on his heart to visit his brethren, the sons of Israel."

³⁰ And, at the completion of forty years, a messenger was seen by him in the wilderness of mount Sinai, in the flame of a thorn bush fire."

³⁶ This man led them out, doing miracles and signs in the land of Egypt and in the Red Sea, and in the wilderness forty years." ³⁷ This is the Moses who says to the sons of Israel: A Prophet will God be raising up to you from among your brethren, as me."

² Yet pious men are Stephen's pallbearers, and they make a great grieving over him."

¹⁷ Then they place their hands on them, and they obtained holy spirit." ¹⁸ Yet Simon, perceiving that through the imposition of the hands of the apostles the spirit is being given, offers them money, ¹⁹ saying, "Give me also this authority, that on whomsoever I may be placing my hands, he may be obtaining holy spirit."

³ in Whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are concealed.

¹⁴ Neglect not the gracious gift which is in you, which was given to you through prophecy with the imposition of the hands of the eldership."

²² doing nothing from bias. On no one place hands too quickly, nor yet be participating in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure."

²⁵ with meekness training those who are antagonizing, seeing whether God may be giving them repentance to come into a realization of the truth,

³ For this One is counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by as much as He Who constructs it has more honor than the house." ⁴ For every house is constructed by someone, yet He Who constructs all is God." ⁵ And Moses, indeed, was faithful in His whole house as an attendant, for a testimony of that which shall be spoken." ⁶ Yet Christ, as a Son over His house-Whose house we are, that is, if we should be retaining the boldness and the glorying of the expectation confirmed unto the consummation."

¹ Simeon Peter, a slave and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who are chancing upon an equally precious faith with us, in the righteousness of our God, and the Saviour, Jesus Christ:"

⁹ Now when Michael, the chief messenger, doubting the Adversary, argued concerning the body of Moses, he dares not bring on a calumniating judging, but said,

³ And they are singing the song of Moses, the slave of God, and the song of the Lambkin, saying, "Great and marvelous are Thy acts, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Thy ways, King of the eons!"

¹⁰ And he carries me away, in spirit, on a mountain, huge and high, and shows me the holy city, Jerusalem, as it is descending out of heaven from God,
