²⁰ The city square forgets him; The worm finds him sweet; He shall not be remembered any more; Thus like a tree, iniquity shall be broken down.

⁷ For there is expectation for a tree:If it is cut down, then it may rejuvenate again, And its young shoots may not be halted. ⁸ If its roots grow old in the earth, And its trunk-base seems to die in the soil, ⁹ At the scent of water it shall bud, And it produces harvest branches like a plant. ¹⁰ Yet a master shall die and be laid defeated; A human shall expire, and where is he?

¹⁴ I will call out to the grave, My father are you, To the worm, My mother and my sister.

¹⁶ From beneath, his roots dry up, And from above, his harvest branches are snipped off. ¹⁷ His remembrance perishes from the earth, And he has no name on the face of the open place.

²⁶ And behind my skin I will stand erect, And from my flesh I shall perceive Eloah,

⁷ The memory of the righteous one is a blessing, Yet the name of the wicked shall rot away."

¹⁰ In such a case I saw the wicked entombed, Those who used to come and go from the holy place And were lauded in the city where they had done such things. This too is vanity."

¹⁴ The death-doomed will fail to live, and healers will fail to rise. Wherefore You wilt check over and exterminate them, and destroy every remembrance of them."

¹⁴ He is calling with potency and this is what he is saying, `Slash down the oak; cut away its boughs. Shake off its leaves; scatter its pollinated fruit. Wander shall the animals from under it, and the birds from its boughs."

¹⁰ "Yet already the ax is lying at the root of the trees. Every tree, then, which is not producing ideal fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire.
