¹² In the city the dying moan, And the soul of the wounded implores for help; Yet Eloah, He does not place charges of impropriety.

¹³ So the Egyptians made the sons of Israel serve with rigor, ¹⁴ and they embittered their lives with hard service in clay and in bricks, and with all service in the field, in addition to all their service which they served among them with rigor.

²³ In the course of these many days it came to be that the king of Egypt died. Yet the sons of Israel sighed under the servitude and cried out, and their imploration ascended to the One, Elohim, out of the servitude. ²⁴ Elohim heard their moaning, and Elohim was mindful of His covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

²⁷ for it is his only covering. It is his garment for his skin: wherein shall he lie? When it comes to be that he is crying to Me, then I will hear, for I am gracious.

¹⁶ And they turn aside the elohims of the stranger out of their midst, and serve Yahweh, and His soul is grieved with the misery of Israel.

²³ If a scourge brings death suddenly, He derides the trial of the innocent.

⁵ Because of the devastation of the humbled, Because of the groaning of the needy, Now I shall arise, says Yahweh; I shall set him in safety; I shall shine forth for him.

²¹ You do these things, yet I keep silent; You imagined that I should become, yea become like you. I shall reprove you, and I will arrange the charge before your eyes."

²⁶ As for You, they persecute those whom You have smitten, And they are recounting the pain of those wounded by You."

²² For humbled and needy am I, And my heart, it is wounded within me."

¹ And again I saw all the extortions that are done under the sun; Behold, the tears of those being extorted, And there is no comforter for them; Vigor is in the hand of their extortioners, And there is no comforter for them."

¹¹ Because there is no sentence executed quickly against the evil deed, Therefore the heart of the sons of humanity in them is fully given to do evil." ¹² Though a sinner does a hundred evils and days are prolonged for him, Yet I know that good shall come to those fearful of the One, Elohim, Who fear before Him."

⁵ And now, what is for Me here,averring is Yahweh, "that My people are taken gratuitously? Their rulers are howling,averring is Yahweh, "and continually, the entire day, My name is spurned among the nations."

¹⁷ You weary Yahweh Elohim with your words. Yet you say, In what way do we weary Him? When you say, All doing evil are good in the eyes of Yahweh, and in them He delights, or, Where is the Elohim of judgment?

¹⁵ And now we are pronouncing the arrogant happy. Moreover, the doers of wickedness are built up. Moreover, they test Elohim, and are escaping."

⁴ Or are you despising the riches of His kindness and forbearance and patience, being ignorant that the kindness of God is leading you to repentance? ⁵ Yet, in accord with your hardness and unrepentant heart you are hoarding for yourself indignation in the day of indignation and revelation of the just judgment of God,

¹⁵ And be deeming the patience of our Lord salvation, according as our beloved brother Paul also writes to you, according to the wisdom given to him,
