¹ In that day Yahweh will check over with His sword, holy and great and steadfast, on the dragon, the fugitive serpent, and on the dragon, the tortuous serpent, and He will kill the monster which is in the sea." ² In that day there will be a coveted vineyard of turbid wine. Respond to it. ³ I, Yahweh, will preserve it. Momentarily will I irrigate it, lest anyone is checking over it. Night and day will I preserve it." ⁴ Fury have I none. Will anyone set against Me buckthorns and spines for a fight? Will I transgress in it? And ravage it altogether? ⁵ Or will he hold fast in My strength, making repayment to Me? Will he make repayment to Me? ⁶ Those coming to take root, will be Jacob, and those blossoming and budding, will be Israel, and they fill the face of the habitance with produce." ⁷ According to the smiting of their smiter will He smite them? Should He, according to the killing of their killers, kill? ⁸ In moderation You did contend with her, when sending her away. He coos with His stiff wind in the day of the east wind." ⁹ Wherefore, in this will be a propitiatory shelter for the depravity of the house of Jacob, and this is My propitiatory shelter, to take away his sin. When he makes all the stones of the altar as chalk stones shattered, the fetishes of happiness and warmed horn altars will not rise." ¹⁰ For the defended city will be solitary; the homestead will be let go and forsaken as a wilderness. There the calf will graze, and there it will recline, and will finish its forked branches" ¹¹ when its grass is dry. Women shall look forward, coming to enlighten it, for it is not a people of understanding. Therefore no compassion is its Maker showing to it, and its Former will not be gracious to it." ¹² And it comes, in that day, Yahweh will beat gleanings from the trail of the stream unto the watercourse of Egypt. And you, you shall be gleaned one by one, sons of Israel." ¹³ And it comes, in that day, blown shall be a great trumpet, and those perishing in the land of Assyria will come, and those expelled in the land of Egypt, and worship Yahweh in the holy mount in Jerusalem."

⁶ And regretting is Yahweh Elohim that He made humanity on the earth, and grieving to His heart. ⁷ And saying is Yahweh Elohim, "Wipe will I the humanity, which I have created, off the surface of the ground, from human unto beast, and unto the moving animal, and unto the flyer of the heavens, for I regret that I have made them.

¹⁷ And I, behold Me bringing a deluge of water over the earth to wreck all flesh, which has in it the spirit of the living, from under the heavens. All that is in the earth shall expire.

⁹ And I, behold Me setting up My covenant with you and with your seed after yo.

¹⁸ In that day Yahweh contracted a covenant with Abram, saying, "To your seed I give this land, from the stream of Egypt as far as the great stream, the stream Euphrates,

¹³ For their altars shall you break down, and their monuments shall you break, and their Asherah poles shall you cut down.

⁹ Then you will make the trumpet blast pass over all your land in the seventh month on the tenth of the month. On the day of propitiatory shelters you shall make the trumpet pass over all your land.

² Make for yourself two bugles of silver. Out of a stiff shell shall you make them. And they will become yours for the calling of the congregation and for the journeying of the camps. ³ When they blow long on both of them, then the whole congregation will congregate with you at the opening of the tent of appointment. ⁴ Yet should they blow long on just one, then the princes, heads of the thousands of Israel, will congregate with you.

¹⁷ then Israel sang this song:Come up, O well! Respond to it;"

⁶ And you must observe and obey them, for that is your wisdom and your understanding in the eyes of all the peoples who shall hear of all these statutes and will say:Surely this great nation is a people wise and understanding.

³ Then Yahweh your Elohim will turn back your captivity and show compassion to you; He will return and convene you from all the peoples where Yahweh your Elohim will have scattered you. ⁴ If it comes to be that you should be expelled to the end of the heavens, from there Yahweh your Elohim shall convene you, and from there He shall take you.

¹⁸ The Rock Who generated you, you were oblivious of Him, and you forgot the El travailing with you. ¹⁹ Yahweh saw and spurned them because of the vexation caused by His sons and His daughters. ²⁰ And he said:Let Me conceal My face from them; I shall examine what their latter days are to be. For they are a wayward generation, sons with no faithfulness in them. ²¹ As for them, they make Me jealous with a non-el. They provoke Me to vexation with their idols of vanity. As for Me, I shall make them jealous with a non-people; with a decadent nation shall I cause them vexation. ²² For a fire will be kindled by My anger, and it shall glow unto the unseen beneath; it shall devour the earth and its crop, and it shall set aflame the foundations of the mountains. ²³ I shall cause evils to sweep up over them; I shall exhaust My arrows among them ²⁴ who are gaunt with famine, fought by pestilence and bitter sting:Even the tooth of beasts shall I send among them along with the venom of skulkers of the soil. ²⁵ From the outside, the sword shall bereave, and from the chambers, the dread of war, even for the man in his prime, even for the virgin, the suckling along with the grey-haired man.

²⁸ For they are a nation whose counsel is destructive, and there is no understanding in them. ²⁹ O that they were wise; they would proceed intelligently in this; they would understand about their latter days!

⁴¹ when I whet My flashing sword and My hand lays hold on judgment, I shall return vengeance to My foes, and to My haters shall I make repayment. ⁴² I shall make My arrows drunk with blood, and My sword shall devour flesh, the blood of the one mortally wounded and the captive, from the head of the enemy commanders.

²⁶ There is none like the El of Yeshurun:Riding the heavens as your Helper and in His augustness, the skies, ²⁷ the habitation of Elohim aforetime. And beneath are the arms eonian. He shall drive out the enemy from your presence and shall say:Exterminate him! ²⁸ So Israel shall tabernacle in trust; solitary is the spring of Jacob in a land of grain and grape juice. Indeed, his heavens shall trickle the night mist. ²⁹ Happy are you, Israel! Who is like you? A people saved by Yahweh, the Shield of your Helper, Who is also the Sword of your augustness! Your enemies shall dissimulate submission to you, yet you, you shall tread on their fane heights.

²⁴ And they answer Joshua and say, `Because it was certainly declared to your servants, that Yahweh your Elohim commanded Moses His servant to give to you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you; and we fear greatly for ourselves because of you, and we do this thing;" ²⁵ and now, lo, we [are] in your hand, as [it is] good, and as [it is] right in your eyes to do to us--do..

⁶ And the men of Gibeon send unto Joshua, unto the camp at Gilgal, saying, `Let not your hand cease from your servants; come up unto us [with] haste, and give safety to us, and help us; for all the kings of the Amorite, dwelling in the hill-country, have been assembled against us..

¹⁰ And the sons of Israel cry unto Yahweh, saying, `We have sinned against You, even because we have forsaken our Elohim, and serve the Baalim.. <sup>11</sup> And Yahweh said unto the sons of Israel, `[Have I] not [saved you] from the Egyptians, and from the Amorite, from the Bene-Ammon, and from the Philistines? ¹² And the Zidonians, and Amalek, and Maon have oppressed you, and you cry unto Me, and I save you out of their hand;" ¹³ and you--you have forsaken Me, and serve other elohims, therefore I add not to save you. ¹⁴ Go and cry unto the elohims on which you have fixed; they--they save you in the time of your adversity.' ¹⁵ And the sons of Israel say unto Yahweh, `We have sinned, do You to us according to all that is good in Your eyes; only deliver us, we pray You, this day.. ¹⁶ And they turn aside the elohims of the stranger out of their midst, and serve Yahweh, and His soul is grieved with the misery of Israel.

⁶ As to the worthless--As a thorn driven away [are] all of them, For--not by hand are they taken;"

¹³ And the pillars of brass that [are] in the house of Yahweh, and the bases, and the sea of brass, that [is] in the house of Yahweh, have the Chaldeans broken in pieces, and bear away their brass to Babylon. ¹⁴ And the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass with which they minister they have taken, ¹⁵ and the fire-pans, and the bowls that [are] wholly of silver, has the chief of the executioners taken. ¹⁶ The two pillars, the one sea, and the bases that Solomon made for the house of Yahweh, there was no weighing of the brass of all these vessels;" ¹⁷ eighteen cubits [is] the height of the one pillar, and the chapiter on it [is] of brass, and the height of the chapiter [is] three cubits, and the net and the pomegranates [are] on the chapiter round about--the whole [is] of brass; and like these has the second pillar, with the net.

²⁴ And Shebaniah, and Joshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer the priests, are blowing with trumpets before the ark of Elohim; and Obed-Edom and Jehiah [are] gatekeepers for the ark.

⁵ and he turns aside out of all cities of Judah the high places and the images, and the kingdom is quiet before him.

⁴ And they break down before him the altars of the Baalim, and the images that [are] on high above them he has cut down, and the shrines, and the graven images, and the molten images, he has broken and beaten small, and strews on the surface of the graves of those sacrificing to them,

¹⁶ and they are mocking at the messengers of Elohim, and despising His words, and acting deceitfully with His prophets, till the going up of the fury of Yahweh against His people--till there is no healing. ¹⁷ And He causes to go up against them the king of the Chaldeans, and he slays their chosen ones by the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and has had no pity on young man and virgin, old man and very aged--the whole He has given into his hand.

² Then Jeshua son of Jozadak arose with his brother priests and Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and his brothers. They built the altar of the Elohim of Israel, to offer up on it ascent offerings as it is written in the law of Moses the man of Elohim. ³ They established the altar on its bases, for dread was on them because of the peoples of the areas; and they brought up on it ascent offerings to Yahweh, the ascent offerings for the morning and for the evening.

⁹ and you have turned back unto Me, and kept My commands, and done them--if your outcast is in the end of the heavens, thence I gather them, and have brought them in unto the place that I have chosen to cause My name to tabernacle there.

⁸ May those cursing the day revile it, Who are equipped to rouse the dragon.

¹ So Job answered and said: ² Truly, you are the people, And with you wisdom shall die!" ³ However, I have heart understanding as well as you; I am not falling behind you; For who is there not knowing such things as these? ⁴ As the sport of his associates am I becoming, Who was calling to Eloah, and He answered him, Made sport of, though righteous and flawless. ⁵ Contempt for misfortune is in the reflections of the self-satisfied, Readied for those of tottering feet. ⁶ The tents of devastators are at ease, And for those disturbing El there is serenity, For him who brings along an eloah in his hand. ⁷ Howbeit, ask, I pray, one of the beasts, and it shall direct you, And the flyer of the heavens, and it shall tell you, ⁸ Or importune to the earth, and it shall direct you, And the fish of the sea shall rehearse it to you. ⁹ Who among all these does not know That the hand of Eloah, it has done this? ¹⁰ In Whose hand is every living soul And the spirit in all flesh of man. ¹¹ Does not the ear test declarations As the palate tastes its food? ¹² Does wisdom come with being hoary-headed, And understanding with length of days? ¹³ With Him is wisdom and mastery; His are counsel and understanding. ¹⁴ Behold, He demolishes, and it shall not be rebuilt; He locks up a man, and it shall not be opened. ¹⁵ Behold, He restrains the waters, and they dry up, Or He sends them forth, and they overrun the earth. ¹⁶ With Him are strength and prosperity; Both the erring one and the one causing error are His. ¹⁷ Causing counselors to go forth looted, He also makes judges rave as fools. ¹⁸ He unlooses the disciplining authority of kings, And He binds a belt about their waists. ¹⁹ Causing priests to go forth looted, He also overthrows the well-established. ²⁰ Putting away the eloquence of the sure, He also takes away the discretion of elders. ²¹ Pouring out contempt on patrons, He also makes the cordon of the mighty repressors to slacken. ²² Exposing the deep things out of darkness, He also brings forth the blackest shadow to light. ²³ Making nations grow great, He also destroys them; Spreading out nations, He also guides them away. ²⁴ Putting away wisdom of heart from the heads of the people of the earth, He also makes them stray in a roadless waste. ²⁵ They grope in darkness with no light, And He makes them stray like a drunkard.

²¹ Be careful, I pray, toward Him, and fare well, By these means good shall come to you.

⁶ Shall He contend against me with an abundance of vigor? Surely He Himself shall not place charges against me!

¹³ By His spirit the heavens were made seemly; His hand travailed with the fugitive serpent.

¹⁹ He is the first of the ways of El; The One Who made him, He enclosed in him his sword.

³⁸ Yet He was compassionate; He made a propitiatory shelter for depravity, And He did not bring ruin; He acted many times to reverse His anger, And He would not rouse all His fury."

⁸ You caused a vine to journey from Egypt; You drove out the nations, and You planted it." ⁹ You cleared out the way before it, So that it rooted its roots and filled the land." ¹⁰ The mountains were covered by its shadow, And the cedars of El by its boughs." ¹¹ It sent its harvest branches unto the Sea, And its young shoots to the Stream." ¹² Why have You breached its stone dikes, So that all who are passing by the way nip off its fruit? ¹³ The boar from the wildwood gorges on it, And the field mammal, it grazes upon it." ¹⁴ O Elohim of hosts, return, I pray; Look down from the heavens and see, And note this vine, ¹⁵ Even the sprig that Your right hand has planted; And watch over the son You have made resolute for Yourself.

If they are reddened as crimson, as wool shall they become." ¹⁹ If you are willing and hearken, the good of the land shall you eat." ²⁰ Yet if you are refusing and rebel, by the sword shall you be devoured. For the mouth of Yahweh speaks."

²⁴ Wherefore avers the Lord Yahweh of hosts, the Sturdy One of Israel, "Woe! I shall be comforted over My foes, and avenged on My enemies." ²⁵ And I will restore My hand on you, and refine, so as to purify you from your dross. And the rebellious will I destroy, and take away all your tin alloy."

³ And go many peoples and say, "Go, and we will ascend to the mount of Yahweh, and to the house of the Elohim of Jacob, and He will direct us in His ways, and we will go in His paths.For from Zion shall fare forth the law, and the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem."

¹¹ The eyes of the haughty human are low, and prostrate is the highness of mortals, and Yahweh alone is impregnable in that day." ¹² For a day for Yahweh of hosts is on everyone proud and high, and on everyone lifted up, and abased is he." ¹³ And on all cedars of Lebanon, high and uplifted, and on all oaks of Bashan, ¹⁴ and on all the high mountains, and on all the uplifted hills, ¹⁵ and on every lofty tower, and on every wall for defense, ¹⁶ and on all the ships of Tharshish, and on all the displays of coveted boats." ¹⁷ And prostrate is the haughtiness of humanity, and abased is the highness of mortals, and Yahweh alone is impregnable in that day." ¹⁸ And the forbidden idols are completely thrust away. ¹⁹ And they come into caves of the rocks, and into tunnels of the soil, from the face of awe-inspiring Yahweh, and from the honor of His pomp, when He rises to terrify the earth." ²⁰ In that day humanity shall fling its forbidden idols of silver, and its forbidden idols of gold, which they make for it to worship, to the mole rats, and to the bats, ²¹ to come into the fissures of the rocks, and into the forks of the crags, from the face of awe-inspiring Yahweh, and from the honor of His pomp, when He rises to terrify the earth."

⁴ If Yahweh washes the filth of the daughters of Zion, and the blood of Jerusalem be expelled from within it, by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of consumption,

¹ Singing, pray, to My darling am I, a song of My affection for My vineyard:A vineyard becomes My darling's on a horn-like fertile hill, a stone dike am I placing around it, and a rampart I make, ² and it is being cultivated and its stones thrown out. And it is being planted with a yellow muscat. And I am building a tower in its midst, and, moreover, a wine vat I hew in it, and I am expecting it to yield grapes, yet it is yielding stinking fruit? ³ And now, dweller of Jerusalem, and man of Judah, judge, pray, between Me and My vineyard,

And the ground is remaining a desolation, ¹² and Yahweh removes the human afar, and much is forsaken within the land." ¹³ Yet still a tenth remains in it, for it turns back, and it becomes consumed as a terebinth. Yet, as an oak which, when flung down, is a monument, among them, the holy seed is its monument."

²⁵ And all the mountains which with the hoe are being hoed, you will not come there for fear of buckthorns and spines, and it shall become a place for sending the bull, and for the tramping of the flockling."

¹⁷ Therefore, their choice men my Lord will not spare, and on their orphans and their widows He will not have compassion, for all of them are polluted and doing evil, and every mouth speaks decadence. In all this His anger does not reverse, and His hand is outstretched still!" ¹⁸ For wickedness consumes as fire does buckthorn. Even the spine will it devour, and ravage in the thickets of the wildwood, and devour around all the hills. And they will mount up with swelling smoke."

⁵ Woe, Assyria! Club of My anger! And a rod! He, in their hand, is My menace!" ⁶ Among a nation polluted will I send him. And against a people, object of My rage, will I instruct him. To loot loot and to plunder plunder, and to place them for tramping, as the clay of the streets."

¹² Yet it comes, when Yahweh will clip off all His doings in mount Zion and in Jerusalem, I will visit evil on the fruit of the insolent heart of the king of Assyria, and the high beauty of his eyes."

¹⁷ And the Light of Israel will come to be a fire, and his Holy One to be a blaze, and it consumes and devours his spines and his buckthorns in one day,

²⁰ And it comes in that day, not continue further will the remnant of Israel, and the delivered of the house of Jacob, to lean on their smiter. Yet they will lean on Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, in truth." ²¹ A remnant will return, a remnant of Jacob, to El, the Master." ²² For, should the people of Israel come to be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved among them. The conclusion decided shall be overflowing with righteousness, ²³ for a conclusive and decisive accounting will my Lord Yahweh of hosts make within the entire land. ²⁴ Wherefore thus says my Lord, Yahweh of hosts:"You must not fear, My people, dwellers of Zion, because Assyria with a club is smiting you, and his rod is he lifting over you, in the way of Egypt." ²⁵ For still a little bit and the menace will be concluded, and My anger over their strategy."

¹¹ And it comes, in that day, Yahweh will proceed to lift up His hand, to be zealous for the remnant of His people which will remain, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Babylon, and from Pathros, and from Ethiopia, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from Arabia, and from the coastlands of the sea." ¹² And He lifts up a banner for the nations, and gathers the expelled of Israel, and the scattered of Judah is He convening from the four wings of the earth."

¹⁶ And there comes to be a highway for the remnant of His people, who will remain from Assyria, and in Egypt, as it came to be for Israel in the day they came up from the land of Egypt."

¹ And you will say, in that day, "I am acclaiming You, Yahweh, for You wast angry with me, yet reversing is Your anger, and You are comforting me."

²² And I rise against them,averring is Yahweh of hosts. "And I cut off from Babylon the name and remnant, and propagator and progeny,averring is Yahweh." ²³ And I make Babylon desolate, for a tenancy of the hedgehog, with watery marshes, and I mop it with the mop of extermination,averring is Yahweh of hosts."

³ Bring counsel; make mediation. Set, as night, your shadow amidst noons; conceal those expelled. A flitter you must not expose." ⁴ Among you shall sojourn the expelled of Moab. Be a concealment for them from the face of the devastator. For He limits the squeezer; finished is the devastator. They come to an end of tramping from the land.

² Forsaken are the cities in the future. For droves shall they become. And they recline, and there is no trembling." ³ And the fortress for Ephraim to flee to, has ceased, and no longer shall there be a kingdom in Damascus, and the dignity of Syria shall perish. They shall become as the glory of the sons of Israel,averring is Yahweh of hosts."

⁶ Yet there remain some clean-gleanings in it. As at the after-gleaning of an olive, two, three fixed fast berries are in the tip top, four, five, in its fruitful forks,averring is Yahweh, the Elohim of Israel."

⁸ And he will not heed the altars, the make of his hands, and that made by his fingers he shall not see, even the fetishes of happiness, and the warmed horn-altars." ⁹ In that day his stronghold cities shall become as forsaken as the plowland and the mountain tip which the Amorite and the Hivite forsake in view of the sons of Israel, and there comes to be desolation."

¹⁴ At eventide comes mourning. Ere morning, there is no one. This is the portion of our robbers, and the lot of our plunderers."

³ All dwellers of the habitance, and tabernaclers of the earth:As the lifting of a banner on the mountains, you shall see, and as the blowing of a trumpet, you shall hear."

²¹ Then Yahweh shall be known to Egypt, and Egypt shall know Yahweh in that day, and they serve with sacrifice and approach present, and vow a vow to Yahweh and pay it."

And Egypt serves with Assyria." ²⁴ In that day Israel shall become third to Egypt and to Assyria. They shall be a blessing within the earth, ²⁵ who are blessed by Yahweh of hosts, who says, "Blessed be My people, Egypt, and the making of My hands, Assyria, and My allotment, Israel."

¹³ Thus shall all become within the land:Amidst the peoples, as the after-gleaning of an olive tree, as clean-gleanings, if the vintage is finished." ¹⁴ They, they shall lift up their voice. They shall jubilate together at the pomp of Yahweh. They shall shrill from the sea." ¹⁵ Therefore in the coastlands shall they glorify Yahweh. In the coastlands of the sea the name of Yahweh, the Elohim of Israel, is glorious." ¹⁶ From the wings of the land, psalms we hear:"Stateliness for the righteous.Yet I will say, "Leanness is mine! Leanness is mine! Alack is mine! The treacherous deal treacherously, and with treachery the treacherous deal treacherously."

² For you make of a city, a mound, a fortress town into a fallen heap, a citadel of the arrogant to be no city any more. It shall not be rebuilt for an eon."

⁴ For You do become a stronghold for the poor, a stronghold for the needy one in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the drought, for the spirit of the terrifier is as a storm against a side wall."

⁶ And Yahweh of hosts makes for all peoples, in this mountain, a feast of oils, a feast of lees, of oils from marrows, of filtered lees."

³ It is formed to support the preservation of welfare, welfare that trusts in You." ⁴ Trust in Yahweh for the futures of the future. For in Yah, Yahweh is a Rock for the eons."

²⁰ Go, my people! Come into your chambers, and close your doors about you. Hide for a little moment, till the menace shall pass." ²¹ For, behold Yahweh faring forth from His holy place to visit the depravity of the earth's dweller upon it. And its blood is exposed by the earth, and no longer shall it cover over its killed."

The throng of the city shall forsake it. The hump and lookout become caves, in the future, till the eon; an elation of wild asses, a pasture for droves,

⁵ For soaked in the heavens shall be My sword. Behold! On Edom shall it descend, and on the people I doom for judgment." ⁶ The sword of Yahweh will be full of blood. It lubricates itself from the fat of lambs, and from the blood of butting rams and he-goats, from the fat of kidneys of rams. For there shall be a sacrifice to Yahweh in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Edom."

⁶ Then leap as a deer shall the lame, and jubilate shall the tongue of the mute. For rent in the wilderness shall be waters, and watercourses in the gorge shall go." ⁷ And the seared sink becomes a pond, and the thirsty land has fonts of water. In the homestead of jackals shall be a morass, an environ for reed and papyrus."

³¹ And, in addition, the delivered of the house of Judah, the remnant finds root downward, and yields fruit upward,

³⁶ And faring forth is a messenger of Yahweh and smiting in the Assyrian camp a hundred and eighty five thousand. And the king is rising early in the morning--and behold! All of them are corpses--dead! ³⁷ And decamping, and going, and returning is Sennacherib, king of Assyria, and he is dwelling in Nineveh." ³⁸ And he is coming to worship in the house of Nisroch, his elohim, and Adrammelech and Sharezer, his sons, smite him with the sword. Yet they escape into the land of Ararat, and reigning is Esarhaddon, his son, in his stead."

¹³ For I, Yahweh, your Elohim, am holding fast your right hand, saying to you, `You must not fear; I, I help you." ¹⁴ You must not fear, worm Jacob, and death-doomed of Israel, I, I help you,'averring is Yahweh, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel." ¹⁵ Behold! I constitute you a new spiked threshing sledge possessing serrated edges. You shall thresh the mountains and pulverize them, and the hills you shall make as trash." ¹⁶ You will winnow them, and the wind will carry them away. And the tempest will scatter them. And you shall exult in Yahweh. And in the Holy One of Israel shall you boast." ¹⁷ The humble and the needy are seeking water, yet there is none. Their tongue is benumbed with thirst. I, Yahweh, will respond to them; the Elohim of Israel, I will not forsake them." ¹⁸ I will open up streams on ridges, and in the midst of valleys, springs. I will convert the wilderness into a pond of water, and arid land into vents of water." ¹⁹ I will bestow the cedar in the wilderness, the acacia and the myrtle and the oleaster tree. I will place the fir in the gorge, the elm and the box together,

¹ And now, thus says Yahweh Elohim, your creator, Jacob, and your Former, Israel:"You must not fear, for I redeemed you, I called you by your name. You are mine."

⁷ everyone being called by My name. And for My glory I created him, I formed him. Indeed, I made him."

² Thus says Yahweh Elohim, your Maker, and your Former from the belly, and your Helper:"You must not fear, My servant Jacob, and you Upright one whom I choose in him."

¹⁸ They do not know, nor are they understanding, for He plasters their eyes, from seeing, and their hearts, from intelligence." ¹⁹ And he is not recalling to his heart, and no knowledge is there, nor understanding to say, "Half of it I burned up in the fire, and, indeed, I baked on its embers bread, roasting flesh and eating. And the rest of it I am making into an abhorrence. To a decaying tree am I falling on my knees and face!" ²⁰ Grazing on ashes, a trifling heart turns him aside. And he is not rescuing his soul, nor is he saying, "Is not a falsehood in my right hand? ²¹ Remember these things, Jacob and Israel, for My servant are you. I formed you. A servant of Mine are you, Israel. You shall not be oblivious of Me."

²⁴ Thus says Yahweh, your Redeemer, and your Former from the belly:"I, Yahweh, am Maker of all, Who stretched out the heavens alone. When stamping out the earth, who was with Me?

²⁴ Yea, in Yahweh,He says to me, "is righteousness and strength. Unto Him shall come all ashamed, who are hot against Him."

⁴ And till old age I am He, and till gray hairs shall I be burdened, I made, and I am bearing. And I will be burdened, and make you escape."

⁹ Remember the first things from the eon, for I am the El, and there is no further Elohim, and the limit is as Me."

¹⁰ Behold! I refined you, yet not as silver; I tested you in the crucible of humiliation."

²⁰ Further, the sons of your bereavements shall say in your ears, `Constricted for me is the place. Come close to me and I will dwell.'" <sup>21</sup> And you say in your heart, `Who generated these for me, while I was bereaved and a widow, and deported and withdrawn? And these--who brought them up for me? Behold! I remained alone. Yet these-- whereat were they?'" ²² For thus says my Lord Yahweh, "Behold! I will lift My hand to the nations, and to the peoples will I raise My banner high. And they bring your sons in a bosom pouch, and your daughters on the shoulders shall be borne, ²³ and kings become your foster fathers, and their chiefesses your wet nurses. Nostrils to the earth, shall they prostrate to you, and the soil at your feet shall they lick up. Then you shall know that I am Yahweh, and those expecting Me shall not be ashamed."

¹ Thus says Yahweh, "Where is this scroll of divorce of your mother, with which I let her go? Or which of My creditors is it to whom I sold you? Behold! For your depravities were you sold, and for your transgressions was your mother sent away."

⁹ Rouse! Rouse! Clothe yourself with strength, arm of Yahweh! Rouse as in days aforetime, the generations of the eons! Are not You He, the Hewer of the audacious, the Wounder of the monster?

¹ Jubilate, O barren, who has not borne! Crash into jubilation, and make a noise, who has not travailed! For more are the sons of the desolate than the sons of the one with a possessor,says Yahweh." ² Widen the place of your tent, and the sheets of your tabernacles will stretch out. You must not keep back! Lengthen your cords, and your pegs make fast." ³ For right and left shall you breach, and your seed shall tenant nations, and the desolated cities shall be indwelt."

⁶ For as a woman, forsaken and grieved in spirit, Yahweh called you, and as a wife of youth, that is being rejected,says Yahweh, your Elohim." ⁷ For a small moment I forsook you, yet with great compassions will I convene you."

¹⁰ For, as descending is the downpour and the snow from the heavens, yet there it is not returning, but rather soaks the earth, and causes it to bear and to sprout, and gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater, ¹¹ so shall be My word which shall fare forth from My mouth. It shall not return to Me empty, but rather, it does that which I desire, and prospers in that for which I sent it."

² Happy is the mortal who is doing this, and the son of humanity who is holding fast in it, keeping from violating the sabbath, and keeping his hand from doing any evil."

¹⁶ For not for the eon will I contend, nor will I be permanently wroth, in case the spirit from before Me shall droop, and all who have breath, that I made."

¹⁹ Creator of the produce of the lips, welfare, welfare to the far and to the near,says Yahweh, "and I heal him."

¹¹ And you are guided by Yahweh continually, and He satisfies, on a garish day, your soul. And your bones will He liberate. And you become as a soaked garden, and as a vent of water whose waters are not defaulting."

¹⁶ And you suck the milk of nations, and the breast of kings shall you suck. Then you will know that I, Yahweh, am your Saviour, and your Redeemer is the Sturdy One of Jacob."

²² The small one shall become a thousand, and the inferior a staunch nation. I, Yahweh, in its era, will hurry it."

⁷ And no one is calling on Your name, rousing himself to hold fast to You, for You conceal Your face from us, and You are dissolving us by means of our depravities."

²⁵ Then a wolf and a lambkin will graze alike, and the lion, as the beeve, will eat crushed straw, and the serpent has soil for its bread. They will not do evil, nor ruin in all My holy mountain,says Yahweh."

¹⁶ For with fire Yahweh shall come to judge the entire earth, and by His sword all flesh; and multitudinous are the wounded of Yahweh!"

¹⁸ And I know their deeds and their devices! I will come to convene all the nations and the tongues. And they come and see My glory."

¹⁷ Do you not do this to yourself? [By] your forsaking Yahweh your Elohim, At the time He is leading you in the way? ¹⁸ And now, what--to you in the way of Egypt, To drink the waters of Sihor? And what--to you in the way of Asshur, To drink the waters of the River? ¹⁹ Instruct you does your wickedness, And your backslidings reprove you, Know and see that an evil and a bitter thing [Is] your forsaking Yahweh your Elohim, And My fear not being on you, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh of Hosts." ²⁰ For from of old you have broken your yoke, Drawn away your bands, and say, `I do not serve,' For, on every high height, and under every green tree, You are wandering--a harlot." ²¹ And I planted you a choice vine, wholly a true seed, And how have you been turned to Me, To the degenerate shoots of a strange vine?

None seeking her do weary themselves, In her month they find her." <sup>25</sup> Withhold your foot from being unshod, And your throat from thirst, And you say, `It is incurable, No, for I have loved strangers, and after them I go.'" ²⁶ As the shame of a thief when he is found, So put to shame have been the house of Israel, They, their kings, their heads, And their priests, and their prophets, ²⁷ Saying to wood, `My father [are] you!' And to a stone, `You have brought me forth,' For they turned unto me the back and not the face, And in the time of their vexation, They say, `Arise You, and save us.'" <sup>28</sup> And where [are] your elohims, that you have made to yourself? Let them arise, if they may save you, In the time of your vexation, For--the number of your cities have been your elohims, O Judah, <sup>29</sup> Why do you strive with Me? All of you have transgressed against Me, An affirmation of Yahweh." <sup>30</sup> In vain I have smitten your sons, Instruction they have not accepted, Devoured has your sword your prophets, As a destroying lion." <sup>31</sup> O generation, see you the word of Yahweh:A wilderness have I been to Israel? A land of thick darkness? Wherefore have My people said, `We mourned, We come not in again unto You.'" ³² Does a virgin forget her ornaments? A bride her bands? And My people have forgotten Me days without number. ³³ What--do you make pleasing your ways to seek love? Therefore even the wicked you have taught your ways. ³⁴ Also in your skirts has been found the blood of innocent needy souls, Not by digging have I found them, but upon all these." ³⁵ And you say, `Because I have been innocent, Surely turned back has His anger from me?' Lo, I have been judged with you, Because of your saying, `I have not sinned.'" ³⁶ What? you are very vile to repeat your way, Even of Egypt you are ashamed, As you have been ashamed of Asshur, ³⁷ Also from this you go out, And your hands on your head, For Yahweh has kicked at your confidences, And you do not give prosperity to them!"

¹⁴ Turn back, O backsliding sons, An affirmation of Yahweh. For I have ruled over you, And taken you one of a city, and two of a family, And have brought you to Zion,

¹¹ At that time it is said of this people, And of Jerusalem:`A dry wind of high places in the wilderness,' The way of the daughter of My people, (Not for winnowing, nor for cleansing,)"

²² For my people [are] foolish, me they have not known, Foolish sons [are] they, yea, they [are] not intelligent, Wise [are] they to do evil, And to do good they have not known."

²⁷ For thus said Yahweh:All the land is a desolation, but a completion I make not."

⁴ And I--I said, `Surely these [are] poor, They have been foolish, For they have not known the way of Yahweh, The judgment of their Elohim." ⁵ I get me to the great, and I speak with them, For they have known the way of Yahweh, The judgment of their Elohim.' Surely they together have broken the yoke, They have drawn away the bands."

²¹ Hear you, I pray you, this, O people, foolish and without heart, Eyes they have, and they see not, Ears they have, and they hear not." ²² Me do you not fear, an affirmation of Yahweh? From My presence are you not pained? Who has made sand the border of the sea, A limit eonian, and it passes not over it, They shake themselves, and they are not able, Yea, sounded have its billows, and they pass not over."

⁷ Even a stork in the heavens has known her seasons, And turtle, and swallow, and crane, Have watched the time of their coming, And--My people have not known the judgment of Yahweh."

²⁴ Chastise me, O Yahweh, only in judgment, Not in Your anger, lest You make me small."

⁶ Then I have given up this house as Shiloh, and this city I give up for a reviling to all nations of the earth.'"

¹⁸ `Micah the Morashtite has been prophesying in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and he said unto all the people of Judah, saying:Thus said Yahweh of Hosts:Zion is a plowed field, and Jerusalem is heaps, And the mountain of the house is for high places of a forest."

¹¹ For with you [am] I, An affirmation of Yahweh--to save you, For I make an end of all the nations Whither I have scattered you, Only, of you I do not make an end, And I have chastised you in judgment, And do not entirely acquit you."

Incurable [is] your pain, Because of the abundance of your iniquity, Mighty have been your sins! I have done these to you." ¹⁶ Therefore all consuming you are consumed, And all your adversaries--all of them--Into captivity do go, And your spoilers have been for a spoil, And all your plunderers I give up to plunder."

¹⁹ And gone forth from them has thanksgiving, And the voice of playful ones, And I have multiplied them and they are not few, And made them honorable, and they are not small."

²⁸ `And the escaped of the sword turn back out of the land of Egypt to the land of Judah, few in number, and known have all the remnant of Judah who are coming into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, whose word is established, Mine or theirs."

²⁸ You, you do not fear, My servant Jacob, An affirmation of Yahweh--for with you I [am], For I make an end of all the nations Whither I have driven you, And of you I do not make an end, And I have reproved you in judgment, And do not entirely acquit you!'"

⁶ Ho, sword of Yahweh, till when are you not quiet? Be removed unto your sheath, rest and cease."

³³ Thus said Yahweh of Hosts:Oppressed are the sons of Israel, And the sons of Judah together, And all their captors have kept hold on them, They have refused to send them away." ³⁴ Their Redeemer [is] strong, Yahweh of Hosts [is] His name, He does thoroughly plead their cause, So as to cause the land to rest, And He has given trouble to the inhabitants of Babylon."

⁴⁰ As overthrown by Elohim with Sodom, And with Gomorrah, and with its neighbors, An affirmation of Yahweh, none does dwell there, Nor sojourn in her does a son of man."

¹³ O dweller on many waters, abundant in treasures, Come in has your end, the measure of your dishonest gain."

²⁴ And I have recompensed to Babylon, And to all inhabitants of Chaldea, All the evil that they have done in Zion, Before your eyes--an affirmation of Yahweh."

³⁴ Devoured us, crushed us, has Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, He has set us [as] an empty vessel, He has swallowed us as a dragon, He has filled his belly with my dainties, He has driven us away."

⁴ The roads to Zion are mournful without anyone coming to the appointed festivals; All her gateways are desolate; her priests are sighing; Her virgins are afflicted, and to herself it has brought bitterness."

⁵ Yahweh has become like an enemy; He has swallowed up Israel; He has swallowed up all her citadels; He has ruined its fortresses; And He is multiplying, in the daughter of Judah, complaint and complaining." ⁶ He is casting down His booth as in a garden; He has ruined His appointed festivals; Yahweh has made appointed festivals and sabbath forgotten in Zion, And in the indignation of His anger He is spurning king and priest." ⁷ Yahweh has cast off His altar; He has disowned His sanctuary; He has surrendered the walls of her citadels into the hand of the enemy. They have raised their voice in the House of Yahweh as on the day of an appointed festival. ⁸ Yahweh has designed to ruin the wall of the daughter of Zion; He has stretched out the measuring tape; He has not turned back His hand from dismantling; So He makes the rampart and wall mourn; together they are enfeebled. ⁹ Her gates have sunk into the earth; He destroyed and broke her bars; Her king and her chiefs are among the nations; there is no law. Also her prophets find no vision from Yahweh.

¹⁸ Because of Mount Zion which is desolate, foxes prowl about it."

¹⁰ And I also, Mine eye does not pity, nor do I spare; their way on their own head I have put.'"

¹⁸ And they have gone in thither. And turned aside all its detestable things, And all its abominations--out of it."

² `Son of man, What is the vine-tree more than any tree? The vine-branch that has been, Among trees of the forest? ³ Is wood taken from it to use for work? Do they take of it a pin to hang any vessel on it? ⁴ Lo, to the fire it has been given for fuel, Its two ends has the fire eaten, And its midst has been scorched! Is it profitable for work? ⁵ Lo, in its being perfect it is not used for work, How much less, when fire has eaten of it, And it is scorched, Has it been used yet for work? ⁶ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:As the vine-tree among trees of the forest, That I have given to the fire for fuel, So I have given the inhabitants of Jerusalem." ⁷ And I have set My face against them, From the fire they have gone forth, And the fire does consume them, And you have known that I [am] Yahweh, In My setting My face against them." ⁸ And I have made the land a desolation, Because they have committed a trespass, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh!'"

⁶³ So that you do remember, And you have been ashamed, And there is not to you any more an opening of the mouth because of your shame, In My receiving atonement for you, For all that you have done, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh!'"

¹² And it is plucked up in fury, To the earth it has been cast, And the east wind has dried up its fruit, Broken and withered has been the rod of its strength, Fire has consumed it."

³⁸ And cleared out from you the rebels, And them transgressing against Me, From the land of their sojournings I bring them out, And unto the land of Israel they come not, And you have known that I [am] Yahweh."

⁴⁷ and you have said to the forest of the south:Hear a word of Yahweh:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Lo, I am kindling in you a fire, And it has devoured in you every moist tree, and every dry tree, Not quenched is the glowing flames, And burnt by it have been all faces from south to north."

¹¹ And cause it to stand on its coals empty, So that its brass is hot and burning, Melted has been in its midst its uncleanness, Consumed is its scum." ¹² [With] sorrows she has wearied herself, And the abundance of her scum goes not out of her, In the fire [is] her scum." ¹³ In your uncleanness [is] wickedness, Because I have cleansed you, And you have not been cleansed, From your uncleanness you are not cleansed again, Till I have caused My fury to rest on you." ¹⁴ I, Yahweh, has spoken, It has come, and I have done [it], I do not free, nor do I spare, nor do I repent, According to your ways, and according to your acts, they have judged you, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh.'"

³ Speak, and you have said:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Lo, I [am] against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt! The great dragon that is crouching in the midst of his floods, Who has said, My flood [is] my own, And I--I have made it [for] myself."

² `Son of man, lift up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and you have said unto him:A young lion of nations you have been like, And you [are] as a dragon in the seas, And you come forth with your flowings, And do trouble the waters with your feet, And you do foul their flowings." ³ Thus said the Lord Yahweh:And--I have spread out for you My net, With an assembly of many peoples, And they have brought you up in My net." ⁴ And I have left you in the land, On the face of the field I do cast you out, And have caused to dwell upon you every fowl of the heavens, And have satisfied out of you the beasts of the whole earth." ⁵ And I have put your flesh on the mountains, And filled the valleys [with] your hugeness,

¹¹ For thus said the Lord Yahweh:Lo, I--even I, have required My flock, And I have sought it out."

²⁴ And I, Yahweh, I am their Elohim, And My servant David prince in their midst, I, Yahweh, have spoken." ²⁵ And I have made for them a covenant of peace, And caused evil beasts to cease out of the land, And they have dwelt in a wilderness confidently, And they have slept in forests." ²⁶ And I have given them, and the suburbs of my hill, a blessing, And caused the shower to come down in its season, Showers of blessing they are."

⁴ Therefore, O mountains of Israel, Hear a word of the Lord Yahweh:Thus said the Lord Yahweh, to mountains, and to hills, To streams, and to valleys, And to wastes that [are] desolate, And to cities that are forsaken, That have been for a prey, And for a scorn, to the remnant of the nations who [are] round about."

¹⁴ And I have given My Spirit in you, and you have lived, And I have caused you to rest on your land, And you have known that I Yahweh, I have spoken, and I have done [it], An affirmation of Yahweh.'"

²⁸ And known have the nations that I Yahweh am sanctifying Israel, In My sanctuary being in their midst--to the eon!'"

³¹ You, O king, perceiving were you, and lo, one great image! This image is grand, and its aspect excellent, rising to your view, and the appearance of the image is terrifying you." ³² The image's head is good gold, its chest and its arms are silver, its belly and its thighs are copper, ³³ its legs are iron, its feet, part of them are iron, and part of them are clay." ³⁴ You were perceiving till a stone severs itself, that is, not by hands, and it collides with the image at its feet that were of iron and clay, and pulverizes them." ³⁵ Then pulverized, as one, are the iron, the clay, the copper, the silver, and the gold, and they are as chaff from summer threshing sites, and the wind lifts them up, and no place at all is found for them. And the stone that collides with the image becomes a vast mountain range, and fills all the earth."

³⁵ Some of the intelligent shall stumble, to refine and to purify and to whiten them till the era of the end; for it is yet further to the appointed time."

¹⁸ And I contract for them a covenant in that day with the field life, and with the flyer of the heavens, and the moving animal of the ground. And bow and sword and battle will I break away from the earth, and I will cause them to lie down trustingly." ¹⁹ And I will betroth you to Me for the eon, and I will betroth you to Me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in kindness, and in compassions." ²⁰ And I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness; then you shall know that I am Yahweh.

²³ Then I sow her to Myself in the land, and I have compassion on Lo-ruhamah. And I say to Lo-ammi, My people are you! And he is saying, Yahweh, my Elohim are You."

¹ Hear the word of Yahweh, sons of Israel! For Yahweh has a contention with the dwellers of the land, for there is no truth and there is no kindness and there is no knowledge of Elohim in the land."

⁶ My people shall be stilled because of failing knowledge, seeing that you reject knowledge. Then I am rejecting you from being a priest for Me, and as you are forgetting the law of your Elohim, I will forget your sons--even I."

¹ Go, and we will return to Yahweh, our Elohim, for He tore to pieces, and He will heal us:He was smiting, and He will bind us up." ² He will make us alive after two days:In the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live before Him."

¹³ even sacrifices of My bounties. They are sacrificing flesh, and they are eating it. Yahweh does not accept them. Now He is remembering their depravity and is noting their sins. They shall return to Egypt."

³ They shall not dwell in the land of Yahweh, and Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and in Assyria they shall eat the unclean thing."

⁷ My people are hung on backsliding from Me; though they are proclaiming Him as the Supreme, not one is exalting Him." ⁸ How shall I dispense to you, Ephraim? Shall I award you, Israel? How shall I dispense to you as Admah? Shall I make you as Zeboim? My heart is turned in Me; my comfortings are fervid together." ⁹ I will not execute the heat of My anger; I will not return to ruin Ephraim, for the El am I, and not a man, the Holy One in your midst, and I will not enter into the city."

¹¹ they shall tremble as a bird from Egypt, and as a dove from the land of Assyria. And I will cause them to dwell in their houses, (averring is Yahweh)."

¹⁵ Seeing that he is parting between his brothers, an east wind shall come. The wind of Yahweh shall come up from the wilderness, and it will dry up his fountain, and it will drain his spring. He shall rob the treasure of every coveted furnishing."

⁵ I will become as the night mist to Israel. He shall bud as the anemone and shall stretch out his roots as Lebanon. ⁶ His layer-plants shall go, and his splendor shall become as the olive and his scent as Lebanon."

⁸ Ephraim--what are grief fetishes to him any longer? I humble him, and am controlling him. I am as a flourishing fir. Your fruit is found to be from Me."

⁹ For behold! I am instructing, and I will jerk the house of Israel to and fro, among all nations, just as grain in a sieve is jerked to and fro, yet a pouch-full shall not fall to the earth."

¹² Wherefore, due to you, Zion shall be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become rubbish heaps, and the mountain of the house fane heights of a wildwood."

¹³ I cut off carvings, and your monuments within your midst, and no longer shall you worship the work of your hands." ¹⁴ I pluck up your fetishes of happiness within your midst, and I exterminate your cities,

² Hear, you mountains, the contention of Yahweh, and you perennial foundations of the earth. For a contention has Yahweh with His people, and with Israel will He plead." ³ My people! what do I to you? And with what do I tire you? Answer against Me! ⁴ For I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and from the house of servants I ransomed you. And I am sending before you Moses, Aaron and Miriam." ⁵ My people, remember, I pray, what Balak, king of Moab, counseled, and what Balaam, son of Beor, answered him, from Shittim unto Gilgal, that you may know the righteousness of Yahweh."

³ Yahweh is slow to anger, and great in vigor, and verily He will not make innocent. Yahweh has His way in the sweeping whirlwind and in the horror, and a cloud is the dust of His feet." ⁴ He is rebuking the sea, and is drying it, and all the streams He drains. Enfeebled is Bashan and Carmel, and the bud of Lebanon is enfeebled." ⁵ The mountains quake because of Him, and the hills dissolve. The earth is upheaving because of His presence, and the habitance and all dwelling in it." ⁶ Before His menace, who will stand? And who will rise in the heat of His anger? His fury is poured forth as fire, and the rocks are broken down because of Him." ⁷ Yahweh is good for a stronghold in the day of distress, and He is knowing those taking refuge in Him."

¹⁴ And Yahweh instructs concerning you:No longer shall your name be perpetuated. From the house of your elohim will I cut off carving and molten image. I will set up your tomb, for you are slight."

¹⁹ There is no dimming of your breaking; your blow is ailing. All hearing the report of you will clasp hands over you, for over whom did not your evil pass continually?

¹³ For I bend Judah for Myself; I fill the bow with Ephraim. And I will brandish your sons, O Zion, over your sons, O Javan, and make you as the sword of a master." ¹⁴ Then Yahweh shall appear over them, and His arrow shall fare forth as a flash. And my Lord Yahweh shall blow with a trumpet, and He goes with tempests of the south." ¹⁵ Yahweh of hosts shall protect them, and they devour, and they subdue the sling-stones; and they drink; they clamor as from wine; and they are full as a sprinkling bowl, as the garners of the altar." ¹⁶ And Yahweh, their Elohim, will save them in that day, as the flock of His people; for they shall be the stones of sequestration, themselves a banner waving over His ground."

¹⁶ And it shall come to be that everyone left of all the nations coming against Jerusalem, shall also go up, a quota, year by year, to worship the King, Yahweh of hosts, and to celebrate the celebration of booths."

² Yet who will endure the day of His coming? And who will stand when He appears? For He is coming like a refiner's fire, and as launderers' soap." ³ And he shall sit as a refiner and cleanser of silver and gold. And he shall cleanse the sons of Levi, and cupel them as gold and as silver. And they shall come to be for Yahweh, bringing close the approach present in righteousness."

³ And you shall tread down the wicked, for they are becoming ashes under the soles of your feet in the day which I am making, says Yahweh of hosts."

¹⁰ "Yet already the ax is lying at the root of the trees. Every tree, then, which is not producing ideal fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire.

¹² Whose winnowing shovel is in His hand, and He will be scouring His threshing floor, and will be gathering His grain into His barn, yet the chaff will He be burning up with unextinguished fire."

¹⁵ For stoutened is the heart of this people, And with their ears heavily they hear, And with their eyes they squint, Lest at some time they may be perceiving with their eyes, And with their ears should be hearing, And with their heart may be understanding, And should be turning about, And I shall be healing them.'"

¹⁹ At everyone hearing the word of the kingdom and not understanding, coming is the wicked one and snatching what has been sown in his heart. This is he who is being sown beside the road."

¹² What are you supposing? If it should be occurring to any man, with a hundred sheep, that even one of them should be led astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine sheep on the mountains, and go and seek the one which is straying? ¹³ And if he should come to find it, verily, I am saying to you that he is rejoicing over it, rather than over the ninety-nine that have not strayed." ¹⁴ Thus it is not the will in front of your Father Who is in the heavens that one of these little ones should be perishing.

³³ Another parable hear: A man who was a householder plants a vineyard and places a stone dike about it, and excavates a trough in it, and builds a tower, and leased it to farmers, and travels." ³⁴ Now when the season of the fruits draws near, he dispatches his slaves to the farmers to be getting his fruits." ³⁵ And the farmers, taking his slaves, indeed, lash one, yet kill one, yet pelt one with stones." ³⁶ Again he dispatches other slaves, more than the first. And they do to them similarly." ³⁷ Yet subsequently he dispatches to them his son, saying, 'They will be respecting my son.'" ³⁸ Yet the farmers, perceiving the son, said among themselves, 'This is the enjoyer of the allotment. Hither! We should be killing him and have the enjoyment of his allotment.'" ³⁹ And taking him they cast him out of the vineyard and kill him. ⁴⁰ Whenever, then, the lord of the vineyard may be coming, what will he be doing to those farmers? ⁴¹ They are saying to Him, "Evil men! Evilly will he be destroying them, and the vineyard will he be leasing to other farmers, who will be rendering the fruits to him in their seasons." ⁴² Jesus is saying to them, "Did you never read in the scriptures, 'The stone which is rejected by the builders, This came to be for the head of the corner. From the Lord came this, and it is marvelous in our eyes'? ⁴³ Therefore am I saying to you that the kingdom of God shall be taken away from you and shall be given to a nation producing its fruits. ⁴⁴ And he who is falling on this stone shall be shattered, yet on whomever it should be falling, it will be scattering him like chaff." ⁴⁵ And the chief priests and the Pharisees, hearing His parables, know that He is saying this concerning them." ⁴⁶ And, seeking to hold Him, they were afraid of the throngs, since they had Him for a prophet."

³¹ And He shall be dispatching His messengers with a loud sounding trumpet, and they shall be assembling His chosen from the four winds, from the extremities of the heavens to their extremities."

¹⁸ The spirit of the Lord is on Me, On account of which He anoints Me to bring the evangel to the poor. He has commissioned Me to heal the crushed heart, To herald to captives a pardon, And to the blind the receiving of sight; To dispatch the oppressed with a pardon."

³⁴ Jerusalem! Jerusalem! killing the prophets and pelting with stones those who have been dispatched to her! How many times do I want to assemble your children in the manner a hen does her brood under her wings, and you will not!"

³² Otherwise, surely, at his being still at a distance, he, dispatching an embassy, is asking the terms of peace."

⁴ What man of you, having a hundred sheep, and losing one of them, is not leaving the ninety-nine in the wilderness and is going after the lost one, till he may be finding it?

⁴² saying that, "If you knew, even you, and surely in this day, what is for your peace-! Yet now it was hid from your eyes, ⁴³ for the days will be arriving on you, and your enemies will be casting up a rampart about you, and will be surrounding you, and will be pressing you everywhere, ⁴⁴ and will be leveling you and your children in you, and they will not be leaving a stone on a stone in you, because you knew not the era of your visitation."

⁹ Now He begins to be telling to the people this parable, "A certain man plants a vineyard and leased it to farmers, and travels a considerable time." ¹⁰ And in season he dispatches to the farmers a slave, that they shall give him of the fruit of the vineyard. Yet the farmers, lashing him, send him away empty." ¹¹ And, in addition, he sent a different slave. Yet that one also, lashing and dishonoring, those men send away empty." ¹² And, in addition, he sent a third. Yet wounding this one also, those men cast him out." ¹³ Now the lord of the vineyard said, 'What shall I be doing? I shall be sending my son, the beloved. Him they will be respecting equally with me.'" ¹⁴ Now on perceiving him, the farmers reasoned with one another, saying, 'This is the enjoyer of the allotment. Hither! We should be killing him, that the enjoyer of the allotment may become ours.'" ¹⁵ And, casting him outside of the vineyard, they kill him. What, then, will the lord of the vineyard be doing to them? ¹⁶ He will be coming and destroying these farmers and will be giving the vineyard to others.Now those hearing say, "May it not be coming to that!" ¹⁷ Yet He, looking at them, said, "What, then, is this that is written, 'The stone which is rejected by the builders, This came to be for the head of the corner'? ¹⁸ Everyone falling on that stone shall be shattered, yet on whomever it should be falling, it will be scattering him like chaff."

²⁰ Now whenever you may be perceiving Jerusalem surrounded by encampments, then know that her desolation is near." ²¹ Then let those in Judea flee into the mountains, and let those in her midst be coming out into the country, and let not those in the country be entering into her, ²² for days of vengeance are these, to fulfill all that is written." ²³ Yet woe to those who are pregnant, and to those suckling in those days; for there will be great necessity in the land and indignation on this people." ²⁴ And they shall be falling by the edge of the sword and shall be led into captivity into all nations. And Jerusalem shall be trodden by the nations, until the eras of the nations may be fulfilled."

²¹ Jesus is saying to her, "Believe Me, woman, that, coming is an hour when neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem shall you be worshiping the Father." ²² You are worshiping that of which you are not aware; we are worshiping that of which we are aware, for salvation is of the Jews." ²³ But coming is the hour, and now is, when the true worshipers will be worshiping the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father also is seeking such to be worshiping Him." ²⁴ God is spirit, and those who are worshiping Him must be worshiping in spirit and truth."

³⁷ All that which the Father is giving to Me shall be arriving to Me, and he who is coming to Me I should under no circumstances be casting out,

¹⁶ And other sheep have I which are not of this fold. Those also I must be leading, and they will be hearing My voice, and there will be one flock, one Shepherd."

²⁷ My sheep are hearing My voice, and I know them, and they are following Me." ²⁸ And I am giving them life eonian, and they should by no means be perishing for the eon, and no one shall be snatching them out of My hand." ²⁹ My Father, Who has given them to Me, is greater than all, and no one is able to be snatching them out of My Father's hand." ³⁰ I and the Father, We are one."

¹ I am the true Grapevine, and My Father is the Farmer." ² Every branch in Me bringing forth no fruit, He is taking it away, and every one bringing forth fruit, He is cleansing it, that it may be bringing forth more fruit."

⁶ If anyone should not be remaining in Me, he was cast out as a branch, and it withered. And they are gathering them, and into the fire are they casting them, and they are being burned."

²⁸ And according as they do not test God, to have Him in recognition, God gives them over to a disqualified mind, to do that which is not befitting,

³¹ unintelligent, perfidious, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:"

¹ Being, then, justified by faith, we may be having peace toward God, through our Lord, Jesus Christ, ² through Whom we have the access also, by faith, into this grace in which we stand, and we may be glorying in expectation of the glory of God." ³ Yet not only so, but we may be glorying also in afflictions, having perceived that affliction is producing endurance, ⁴ yet endurance testedness, yet testedness expectation." ⁵ Now expectation is not mortifying, seeing that the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the holy spirit which is being given to us." ⁶ For Christ, while we are still infirm, still in accord with the era, for the sake of the irreverent, died." ⁷ For hardly for the sake of a just man will anyone be dying: for, for the sake of a good man, perhaps someone may even be daring to die, ⁸ yet God is commending this love of His to us, seeing that, while we are still sinners, Christ died for our sakes." ⁹ Much rather, then, being now justified in His blood, we shall be saved from indignation, through Him." ¹⁰ For if, being enemies, we were conciliated to God through the death of His Son, much rather, being conciliated, we shall be saved in His life."

¹⁸ But, I am saying, Do they not hear at all? To be sure! "Into the entire earth came out their utterance, And into the ends of the inhabited earth their declarations."

¹⁶ Now if the firstfruit is holy, the kneading is also; and if the root is holy, the boughs are also." ¹⁷ Now if some of the boughs are broken out, yet you, being a wild olive, are grafted among them, and became a joint participant of the root and fatness of the olive, ¹⁸ be not vaunting, you are not bearing the root, but the root you." ¹⁹ You will be declaring, then, "Boughs are broken out that I may be grafted in." ²⁰ Ideally! By unbelief are they broken out, yet you stand in faith. Be not haughty, but fear." ²¹ For if God spares not the natural boughs, neither will He be sparing you!" ²² Perceive, then, the kindness and severity of God! On those, indeed, who are falling, severity, yet on you, God's kindness, if you should be persisting in the kindness: else you also will be hewn out." ²³ Now they also, if they should not be persisting in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again." ²⁴ For if you were hewn out of an olive wild by nature, and, beside nature, are grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much rather shall these, who are in accord with nature, be grafted into their own olive tree!" ²⁵ For I am not willing for you to be ignorant of this secret, brethren, lest you may be passing for prudent among yourselves, that callousness, in part, on Israel has come, until the complement of the nations may be entering." ²⁶ And thus all Israel shall be saved, according as it is written, Arriving out of Zion shall be the Rescuer. He will be turning away irreverence from Jacob." ²⁷ And this is my covenant with them Whenever I should be eliminating their sins.

¹³ No trial has taken you except what is human. Now, faithful is God, Who will not be leaving you to be tried above what you are able, but, together with the trial, will be making the sequel also, to enable you to undergo it."

³² Yet, being judged, we are being disciplined by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world."

¹⁹ how that God was in Christ, conciliating the world to Himself, not reckoning their offenses to them, and placing in us the word of the conciliation." ²⁰ For Christ, then, are we ambassadors, as of God entreating through us. We are beseeching for Christ's sake, "Be conciliated to God!" ²¹ For the One not knowing sin, He makes to be a sin offering for our sakes that we may be becoming God's righteousness in Him."

²⁹ Now if you are Christ's, consequently you are of Abraham's seed, enjoyers of the allotment according to the promise."

¹⁶ and should be reconciling both in one body to God through the cross, killing the enmity in it." ¹⁷ And, coming, He brings the evangel of peace to you, those afar, and peace to those near,

³ for we are the circumcision who are offering divine service in the spirit of God, and are glorying in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in flesh."

²⁰ and through Him to reconcile all to Him (making peace through the blood of His cross), through Him, whether those on the earth or those in the heavens." ²¹ And you, being once estranged and enemies in comprehension, by wicked acts, yet now He reconciles"

¹⁶ forbidding us to speak to the nations that they may be saved, to fill up their sins always. Yet the indignation outstrips to them to a consummation."

¹⁶ for the Lord Himself will be descending from heaven with a shout of command, with the voice of the Chief Messenger, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ shall be rising first,

⁸ in flaming fire, dealing out vengeance to those who are not acquainted with God and those who are not obeying the evangel of our Lord Jesus Christ" ⁹ who shall incur the justice of eonian extermination from the face of the Lord, and from the glory of His strength"

⁸ yet, bringing forth thorns and star thistles, it is disqualified and near a curse, whose consummation is burning."

¹⁸ that by two immutable matters, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong consolation, who are fleeing for refuge to lay hold of the expectation lying before us,

⁶ For whom the Lord is loving He is disciplining, Yet He is scourging every son to whom He is assenting."

⁹ Thereafter, indeed, we had the fathers of our flesh as discipliners, and we respected them. Yet shall we not much rather be subjected to the Father of spirits and be living." ¹⁰ For these, indeed, disciplined for a few days as it seemed best to them, yet that One for our expedience, for us to be partaking of His holiness." ¹¹ Now all discipline, indeed, for the present is not seeming to be a thing of joy, but of sorrow, yet subsequently it is rendering the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those exercised through it."

²² But you have come to mount Zion, and the city of the living God, celestial Jerusalem, and to ten thousand messengers,

¹³ For the judging is merciless to him who does not exercise mercy. Vaunting is mercy against judging.

⁶ in which you are exulting; briefly at present, if it must be, being sorrowed by various trials,

⁹ the Lord is acquainted with the rescue of the devout out of trial, yet is keeping the unjust for chastening in the day of judging,

¹⁶ Repent then! Yet if not, I am coming to you swiftly and shall be battling with them with the blade of My mouth."

⁷ but in the days of the seventh messenger's voice, whenever he may be about to be trumpeting, the secret of God is consummated also, as He evangelizes to His own slaves and the prophets."

³ And seen was another sign in heaven, and lo! a great fiery-red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and on its heads seven diadems."

⁴ And they worship the dragon, seeing that it gives authority to the wild beast. And they worship the wild beast, saying, "Who is like the wild beast?and "Who is able to battle with it?

¹¹ And I perceived another wild beast ascending out of the land, and it had two horns like a lambkin's, and it spoke as a dragon."

¹³ And I perceived, out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the wild beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet,

¹ And one from among the seven messengers who have the seven bowls came, and he speaks with me, saying, "Hither! I shall be showing you the sentence of the great prostitute who is sitting on many waters,

¹⁵ And he is saying to me, "These waters which you perceived, where the prostitute is sitting, are peoples and throngs and nations and languages."

²¹ And the rest were killed with the blade which is coming out of the mouth of Him Who is sitting on the horse. And all the birds are satisfied with their flesh.

² And he lays hold of the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the Adversary and Satan, and binds him a thousand years."
