¹⁵ And Yahweh gives a pestilence on Israel from the morning even unto the time appointed, and there die of the people, from Dan even unto Beer-Sheba, seventy thousand men,

⁴⁶ Moses said to Aaron:Take the fire-pan and put fire from the altar on it and place incense on it and go quickly to the congregation and make a propitiatory shelter over them, for wrath goes forth from before Yahweh! The stroke has started!" ⁴⁷ So Aaron took it, just as Moses had spoken, and ran into the midst of the assembly. And behold, the stroke had started among the people. He put the incense on and make a propitiatory shelter over the people. ⁴⁸ He stood between the dead and the living, and the stroke was restrained. ⁴⁹ Now those dead by the stroke were fourteen thousand seven hundred, aside from those dead over the matter of Korah.

⁹ Those dying in the stroke were twenty-four thousand.

¹⁹ And He smites among the men of Beth-Shemesh, for they looked into the ark of Yahweh, yea, He smites among the people seventy men--fifty chief men; and the people mourn, because Yahweh smote among the people--a great smiting.

⁷ For roused shall be a nation against a nation, and a kingdom against a kingdom, and there shall be famines and quakes in places."

⁸ And I perceived, and lo! a greenish horse, and the name of him who is sitting upon it is Death, and the Unseen followed him. And jurisdiction was given them over the fourth of the earth, to kill with the blade and with famine and with death and by the wild beasts of the earth."
