¹⁹ And He sends among them prophets, to bring them back unto Yahweh, and they testify against them, and they have not given ear;"

¹³ And Yahweh testifies against Israel, and against Judah, by the hand of every prophet, and every seer, saying, `Turn back from your evil ways, and keep My commands, My statutes, according to all the law that I commanded your fathers, and that I sent unto you by the hand of My servants the prophets;. ¹⁴ and they have not hearkened, and harden their neck, like the neck of their fathers, who did not remain stedfast in Yahweh their Elohim, ¹⁵ and reject His statutes and His covenant that He made with their fathers, and His testimonies that He testified against them, and go after the vain thing, and become vain, and after the nations that are round about them, of whom Yahweh commanded them not to do like them;"

¹⁵ And Yahweh, Elohim of their fathers, sends unto them by the hand of His messengers--rising early and sending--for He has had pity on His people, and on His habitation, ¹⁶ and they are mocking at the messengers of Elohim, and despising His words, and acting deceitfully with His prophets, till the going up of the fury of Yahweh against His people--till there is no healing.

²⁶ `And they are disobedient, and rebel against You, and cast Your law behind their back, and Your prophets they have slain, who testified against them, to bring them back unto You, and they do great despisings,

⁷ For He is our Elohim, And we are the people of His pasture And the flock of His hand. Today, if His voice you should hear, ⁸ You must not be stiffening your heart as in the contention, As in the day of trial in the wilderness,

²³ Give ear, and hear My voice! Attend, and hear My saying!"

²³ Who among you will give ear to this? And will attend and hearken for the hereafter?

⁴ Attend to Me, My people! And, My folkstem, give ear to Me! For a law from Me shall go forth, and My judgment for a light of the peoples."

³ Stretch out your ear and go to Me; hear Me, and your soul shall live in good. And I will contract with you a covenant eonian, the kindnesses of David that are faithful."

²⁵ Even from the day when your fathers Went out of the land of Egypt till this day, I send to you all my servants the prophets, Daily rising early and sending, ²⁶ And they have not hearkened unto Me, Nor inclined their ear, and harden their neck, They have done evil above their fathers."

⁴ And Yahweh has sent unto you all His servants, the prophets, rising early and sending, and you have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear, saying:" ⁵ `Turn back, I pray you, each from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell on the ground that Yahweh has given to you and to your fathers from eon unto eon,

⁵ To hearken to the words of My servants the prophets, whom I am sending unto you, yea, rising early and sending, and you have not hearkened,

⁴ `And I send unto you all my servants, the prophets, rising early and sending, saying:I pray you, do not this abomination that I have hated--" ⁵ and they have not hearkened nor inclined their ear, to turn back from their wickedness, not to make perfume to other elohims,

⁹ Who has ears to hear, let him hear!"

¹⁵ For stoutened is the heart of this people, And with their ears heavily they hear, And with their eyes they squint, Lest at some time they may be perceiving with their eyes, And with their ears should be hearing, And with their heart may be understanding, And should be turning about, And I shall be healing them.'" ¹⁶ Yet happy are your eyes, for they are observing, and your ears, for they are hearing."

⁴⁷ Woe to you! for you are building the tombs of the prophets, yet your fathers kill them." ⁴⁸ Consequently you are witnesses and are endorsing the acts of your fathers, for they, indeed, kill them, yet you are building their tombs." ⁴⁹ Therefore, also, God's Wisdom said, 'I shall be dispatching to them prophets and apostles, and some of them they will be killing and banishing,'" ⁵⁰ that the blood of all the prophets which is shed from the disruption of the world may be exacted from this generation, ⁵¹ from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who perished between the altar and the house. Yea, I am saying to you, It will be exacted from this generation!"

³¹ Yet he said to him, 'If Moses and the prophets they are not hearing, neither will they be persuaded if someone should be rising from among the dead.'"

⁹ Now He begins to be telling to the people this parable, "A certain man plants a vineyard and leased it to farmers, and travels a considerable time." ¹⁰ And in season he dispatches to the farmers a slave, that they shall give him of the fruit of the vineyard. Yet the farmers, lashing him, send him away empty." ¹¹ And, in addition, he sent a different slave. Yet that one also, lashing and dishonoring, those men send away empty." ¹² And, in addition, he sent a third. Yet wounding this one also, those men cast him out." ¹³ Now the lord of the vineyard said, 'What shall I be doing? I shall be sending my son, the beloved. Him they will be respecting equally with me.'" ¹⁴ Now on perceiving him, the farmers reasoned with one another, saying, 'This is the enjoyer of the allotment. Hither! We should be killing him, that the enjoyer of the allotment may become ours.'" ¹⁵ And, casting him outside of the vineyard, they kill him. What, then, will the lord of the vineyard be doing to them?
