¹⁸ and they forsake the house of Yahweh, Elohim of their fathers, and serve the shrines and the idols, and there is wrath upon Judah and Jerusalem for this their guilt.

¹³ For their altars shall you break down, and their monuments shall you break, and their Asherah poles shall you cut down.

²⁰ Did not Achan son of Zerah commit a trespass in the devoted thing, and on all the company of Israel there was wrath? and he alone expired not in his iniquity..

⁸ He chooses new elohims, Then war [is] at the gates! A shield is not seen--and a spear Among forty thousand in Israel.

¹ And the anger of Yahweh adds to burn against Israel, and [an adversary] moves David about them, saying, `Go, number Israel and Judah..

⁴ And it comes to pass, at the time of the old age of Solomon, his wives have turned aside his heart after other elohims, and his heart has not been perfect with Yahweh his Elohim, like the heart of David his father. ⁵ And Solomon goes after Ashtoreth elohim [goddess] of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites;"

⁹ and you do evil above all who have been before you, and go, and make to you other elohims and molten images to provoke Me to anger, and Me you have cast behind your back.

²³ And they build--also they--for themselves high places, and standing-pillars, and shrines, on every high height, and under every green tree;"

² and go out unto his presence does Jehu son of Hanani, the seer, and said unto king Jehoshaphat, `To give help to the wicked, and to those hating Yahweh, do you love? and for this against you [is] wrath from before Yahweh,

¹³ and you do walk in the way of the kings of Israel, and do cause Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to commit whoredom like the whoredoms of the house of Ahab, and also your brethren, the house of your father, who are better than yourself, you have slain;"

⁴ And it comes to pass after this, it has been with the heart of Joash to renew the house of Yahweh,

¹³ and say to them, `You do not bring in the captives hither, for, to guilt against Yahweh on us, you are saying to add unto our sin and unto our guilt? for abundant [is] the guilt we have, and the fierceness of anger on Israel..

⁸ and the wrath of Yahweh is on Judah and Jerusalem, and He gives them for a trembling, for an astonishment, and for a hissing, as you are seeing with your eyes.

²⁵ and Hezekiah has not returned according to the deed [done] unto him, for his heart has been lofty, and there is wrath upon him, and upon Judah and Jerusalem;"

³ and he turns and builds the high places that Hezekiah his father has broken down, and raises altars for Baalim, and makes shrines, and bows himself to all the host of the heavens, and serves them. ⁴ And he has built altars in the house of Yahweh of which Yahweh had said, `In Jerusalem is My name to the eon.. <sup>5</sup> And he builds altars to all the host of the heavens in the two courts of the house of Yahweh. <sup>6</sup> And he has caused his sons to pass over through fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and observed clouds and used enchantments and witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and a wizard; he has multiplied to do the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh, to provoke him to anger. <sup>7</sup> And he places the graven image of the idol that he made in the house of Elohim, of which Elohim said unto David, and unto Solomon his son, `In this house, and in Jerusalem that I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I put My name to the eon,

¹⁴ Also, all the heads of the priests, and the people, having multiplied to commit a trespass according to all the abominations of the nations, and they defile the house of Yahweh that He has sanctified in Jerusalem. ¹⁵ And Yahweh, Elohim of their fathers, sends unto them by the hand of His messengers--rising early and sending--for He has had pity on His people, and on His habitation, ¹⁶ and they are mocking at the messengers of Elohim, and despising His words, and acting deceitfully with His prophets, till the going up of the fury of Yahweh against His people--till there is no healing.

¹⁰ The chiefs of Judah become as the movers of a boundary:I will pour out on them My rage, as water." ¹¹ Ephraim shall be extorted and bruised in judgment, for he is disposed to go after futilities."

¹⁴ for I will be as a black lion to Ephraim, and as a sheltered lion to the house of Judah. I, I, will tear to pieces and go and carry off, and there is no rescuing."

⁴ I stretch out My hand over Judah, and over all dwellers of Jerusalem. And I cut off the name of Baal from this place, and the name of the dervishes with the priests, ⁵ and those worshiping on the house tops to the host of the heavens, and those worshiping--swearing to Yahweh and swearing by their king, ⁶ and those turned away from after Yahweh, who do not seek Yahweh, nor inquire of Him."

⁶ Let no one be seducing you with empty words, for because of these things the indignation of God is coming on the sons of stubbornness."
