¹³ And, now, lo, the king whom you have chosen--whom you have asked! and lo, Yahweh has placed over you a king.

⁵ and say unto him, `Lo, you have become aged, and your sons have not walked in your ways; now, appoint to us a king, to judge us, like all the nations..

²⁰ As to the asses which are lost to you this day three days, set not your heart to them, for they have been found; and to whom [is] all the desire of Israel?' is it not to you and to all your father's house?.

²⁴ And Samuel said unto all the people, `Have you seen him on whom Yahweh has fixed, for there is none like him among all the people?' And all the people shout, and say, `Let the king live!.

¹⁵ and all the people go to Gilgal, and cause Saul to reign there before Yahweh in Gilgal, and sacrifice there sacrifices of peace-offerings before Yahweh, and there Saul rejoices--and all the men of Israel--very greatly.

²⁹ They ate and were surfeited exceedingly, And He brought all their yearning to them." ³⁰ Yet they were not alienated from their yearning; Their food was still in their mouth, ³¹ When the anger of Elohim ascended against them; He killed the stoutest of them, And the choice ones of Israel He cut off."

¹¹ I am giving you a king in My anger, and I am taking him away in My rage."

²¹ And thence they request a king, and God gives them Saul, son of Kish, a man out of the tribe of Benjamin, forty years."
