Psalms 37:1 Cross References - CAB

¹ A Psalm of David. Do not fret because of evildoers, neither be envious of them that do iniquity.

⁶ For the Lord gave her no child in her affliction, and according to the despondency of her affliction; and she was dispirited on this account, that the Lord had shut up her womb so as not to give her a child. ⁷ So she did year by year, in going up to the house of the Lord; and she was dispirited, and wept, and did not eat. ⁸ And Elkanah her husband said to her, Anna; and she said to him, Here am I, my lord. And he said to her, What ails you that you weep? And why do you not eat? And why does your heart smite you? Am I not better to you than ten children?

⁷ Submit yourself to the Lord, and make supplication to Him; do not fret because of him that prospers in his way, at the man that does unlawful deeds.

³ For I was jealous of the transgressors, beholding the tranquility of sinners.

³¹ Do not procure the reproaches of bad men, neither shall you covet their ways.

³ The folly of a man spoils his ways, and he blames God in his heart.

¹⁷ Let not your heart envy sinners, but be in the fear of the Lord all the day.

¹ My son, envy not bad men, nor desire to be with them.

¹⁹ Rejoice not in evildoers, neither be envious of sinners.

²¹ envies, murders, drinking bouts, revelries, and the like; which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

⁵ Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, "The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously"? ⁶ But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."
