²⁵ And Jesus having summoned them, said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them, and the great ones exercise authority over them. ²⁶ Thus will it not be among you. But whoever wishes to become great among you, he will be your servant; ²⁷ and whoever wishes to be first among you, he will be your slave— ²⁸ even as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
