¹ And having looked up, He saw the rich casting their gifts into the treasury, ² and He saw a certain poor widow casting in two lepta. ³ And He said, “Truly I say to you that this poor widow has cast in more than all of them. ⁴ For these all cast in gifts out of that which was abounding to them; but she, out of her poverty, did cast in all the livelihood that she had.” ⁵ And as some were speaking about the temple, that it was adorned with goodly stones and consecrated gifts, He said, ⁶ “As to these things which you are beholding, the days will come in which no stone will be left upon a stone, which will not be thrown down.” ⁷ And they asked Him, saying, “Teacher, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when these things are about to take place?” ⁸ And He said, “Take heed, lest you be led astray; for many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and ‘The time is drawn near.’ Do not go after them. ⁹ And when you should hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for it behooves these things to take place first, but the end is not immediately.” ¹⁰ Then He was saying to them, “Nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. ¹¹ There will be both great earthquakes, and famines and pestilences in different places. There will also be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. ¹² But before all these things, they will lay their hands upon you, and will persecute you, delivering you to the synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors on account of My name. ¹³ It will result to you for a testimony. ¹⁴ Settle therefore in your minds not to premeditate to make a defense. ¹⁵ For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all those opposing you will not be able to resist nor to reply to. ¹⁶ And you will be betrayed even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and they will put to death some from among you. ¹⁷ And you will be hated by all because of My name. ¹⁸ And no, not a hair of your head should perish. ¹⁹ By your patient endurance, you will gain your souls. ²⁰ And when you see Jerusalem being encircled by encampments, then know that her desolation has drawn near. ²¹ Then those in Judea, let them flee to the mountains; and those in her midst, let them depart out; and those in the countries, let them not enter into her. ²² For these are the days of avenging, to fulfill all things having been written. ²³ But woe to those having in womb, and to the ones nursing in those days. For there will be great distress upon the land and wrath to this people. ²⁴ And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trodden down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. ²⁵ And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars; and upon the earth distress of nations with perplexity, sea roaring and surge rolling, ²⁶ men fainting from fear and expectation of that which is coming on the earth. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken. ²⁷ And then will they see the Son of Man coming in a cloud, with power and great glory. ²⁸ And of these things beginning to come to pass, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” ²⁹ And He spoke to them a parable: “Behold the fig tree and all the trees. ³⁰ When they sprout already, looking for yourselves, you know that already summer is near. ³¹ So also you, when you see these things coming to pass, know that the kingdom of God is near. ³² Truly I say to you that this generation will not have passed away until all shall have taken place. ³³ The heaven and the earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away. ³⁴ And take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts ever be burdened with dissipation and drunkenness and the cares of life—and that day would come upon you suddenly as a snare. ³⁵ For it will come upon all those sitting upon the face of all the earth. ³⁶ Watch also at every season, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to come to pass and to stand before the Son of Man.” ³⁷ And during the day He was teaching in the temple, and in the evening going out, He was lodging on the mount called Olivet. ³⁸ And all the people would come to Him early in the morning in the temple, to hear Him.

⁶ And the chief priests, having taken the pieces of silver, said, “It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, since it is the price of blood.”

¹¹ But you say that if a man says to the father or the mother, ‘Whatever you might be profited from me, it is Corban,’ that is, a gift, ¹² no longer do you permit him to do anything for the father or the mother, ¹³ making void the word of God for your tradition, which you have handed down. And you do many things like such.”

⁴¹ And having sat down opposite the treasury, He was watching how the crowd cast money into the treasury; and many rich were casting in much. ⁴² And one poor widow having come, cast in two lepta, which is a kodrantes. ⁴³ And having summoned His disciples, He says to them, “Truly I say to you that this poor widow has cast in more than all of those casting into the treasury. ⁴⁴ For all cast in out of that which was abounding to them, but she out of her poverty cast in all, as much as she had of her whole livelihood.”

²⁰ He spoke these words in the treasury, teaching in the temple; and no one seized Him, for His hour had not yet come.

⁴² And one poor widow having come, cast in two lepta, which is a kodrantes.

⁸ She did what she could. She came beforehand to anoint My body for the burial. ⁹ And truly I say to you, wherever the gospel shall be proclaimed in the whole world, what this woman has done also will be spoken of, for a memorial of her.”

²⁵ And in truth I say to you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up for three years and six months, when there was a great famine upon all the land;

²⁷ And I say to you truthfully, there are some of those standing here who shall not taste of death until they shall have seen the kingdom of God.”

⁴⁴ Of a truth I say to you that he will set him over all his possessions.

²⁷ For in truth, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, were gathered together in this city against Your holy servant Jesus whom You anointed,

³⁴ And Peter, having opened the mouth, said, “Of a truth I understand that God is not One who shows partiality,

² that in much proof of tribulation, the abundance of their joy and of their deep poverty abounded into the riches of their generosity. ³ For I testify that according to their ability and beyond their ability, they were willing of themselves,

¹² For if the readiness is present, it is acceptable as if he might have, not as he does not have.

⁶ Now this: The one sowing sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one sowing upon blessings will also reap upon blessings, ⁷ each as he purposes in the heart, not out of regret or of necessity. For God loves a cheerful giver.

⁴³ And a woman being with a flux of blood for twelve years, who, having spent all her living on physicians, was not able to be healed by anyone.

¹² And the younger of them said to the father, ‘Father, give to me the portion of the property falling to me.’ And he divided the property between them.

⁴⁴ And all those having believed were together the same, and having all things in common. ⁴⁵ And they were selling the possessions and the goods, and were dividing them to all, as anyone had need.

³⁴ For there was not even anyone in need among them, for as many as were owners of lands or houses, selling them, were bringing the proceeds of what is sold,

¹ And having gone forth from the temple, Jesus was going away, and His disciples came to Him to point out to Him the buildings of the temple. ² And answering, He said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, no not even a stone shall be left here upon a stone, which will not be thrown down.” ³ And as He was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him in private, saying, “Tell us, when these things will be? And what is the sign of Your coming, and the consummation of the age?” ⁴ And Jesus answering, said to them, “Take heed, lest anyone mislead you. ⁵ For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will mislead many. ⁶ And you will begin to hear of wars and rumors of wars. Behold, do not be alarmed; for it is necessary to take place, but the end is not yet. ⁷ For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. ⁸ And all these are the beginning of birth pains. ⁹ Then will they deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all the nations on account of My name. ¹⁰ And then many will fall away, and they will betray one another, and will hate one another; ¹¹ and many false prophets will arise, and will lead many astray. ¹² And because lawlessness is to be multiplied, the love of the many will grow cold. ¹³ But the one having endured to the end, he will be saved. ¹⁴ And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed in the whole earth, for a testimony to all the nations; and then the end will come. ¹⁵ Therefore when you shall see ‘the abomination of desolation,’ having been spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place—the one reading, let him understand— ¹⁶ then those in Judea, let them flee to the mountains; ¹⁷ the one on the housetop, do not let him come down to take anything out of his house; ¹⁸ and the one in the field, do not let him return back to take his cloak. ¹⁹ And woe to those having in womb, and to the ones nursing infants in those days! ²⁰ But pray that your flight might not be in winter, nor on a Sabbath. ²¹ For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, and never shall be. ²² And unless those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved; but because of the elect, those days will be shortened. ²³ Then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or ‘Here,’ do not believe it. ²⁴ For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will give great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. ²⁵ Behold, I have foretold you. ²⁶ Therefore if they say to you, ‘Behold, He is in the wilderness,’ do not go forth; or ‘Behold, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe. ²⁷ For just as the lightning comes forth from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. ²⁸ For wherever the carcass may be, there the vultures will be gathered. ²⁹ And immediately after the tribulation of those days: ‘The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.’ ³⁰ And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn. And they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. ³¹ And He will send His angels with a great trumpet call, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from the ends of the heavens to the ends thereof. ³² Now learn the parable of the fig tree: When its branch already may have become tender and it puts forth leaves, you know that the summer is near. ³³ So also you, when you see all these things, know that He is near, at the doors. ³⁴ Truly I say to you that this generation will not have passed away until all these things shall have taken place. ³⁵ The heaven and the earth will pass away, but My words shall not pass away. ³⁶ But concerning that day and hour, no one knows, not even the angels of the heavens, nor the Son, except the Father only. ³⁷ For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. ³⁸ For as in those days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until that day Noah entered into the ark, ³⁹ and they were unaware until the flood came and took away all; so also will be the coming of the Son of Man. ⁴⁰ Then two will be in the field: one is taken, and one is left. ⁴¹ Two women will be grinding at the mill: one is taken, and one is left. ⁴² Therefore keep watch, for you do not know on what day your Lord comes. ⁴³ And know this, that if the master of the house had known in what time of night the thief comes, he would have watched and not have allowed his house to be broken into. ⁴⁴ Because of this, you also be ready, for the Son of Man comes in that hour you do not expect. ⁴⁵ Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has set over his household, to give to them the food in season? ⁴⁶ Blessed is that servant whom his master, having come, will find thus doing. ⁴⁷ Truly I say to you that he will set him over all of his possessing. ⁴⁸ But if that evil servant should say in his heart, ‘My master delays,’ ⁴⁹ and should begin to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and to drink with those being drunkards, ⁵⁰ the master of that servant will come in a day in which he does not expect, and in an hour which he is unaware, ⁵¹ and will cut him in pieces, and will appoint his place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Not one stone shall be left here upon a stone, which shall not be thrown down.” ³ And of Him sitting upon the Mount of Olives, opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked Him in private, ⁴ “Tell us when these things will be, and what will be the sign when all these things are going to be accomplished?” ⁵ And Jesus began to say to them, “Take heed, lest anyone mislead you. ⁶ Many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and they will mislead many. ⁷ And when you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be disturbed. It must come to pass, but the end is not yet. ⁸ For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines. These are the beginning of birth pains. ⁹ But you take heed to yourselves. They will betray you to courts, and you will be beaten in synagogues; and you will stand before governors and kings because of Me, for a testimony to them. ¹⁰ And the gospel it behooves first to proclaim to all the nations. ¹¹ But when they might lead you away, delivering you up, do not be anxious beforehand what you should say; but whatever might be given to you in that hour, speak that. For you are not those speaking, but the Holy Spirit. ¹² And brother will deliver up brother to death, and father, child; and children will rise up against parents, and will put them to death. ¹³ And you will be hated by all on account of My name; but the one having endured to the end, he will be saved. ¹⁴ And when you see the abomination of the desolation, standing where it should not (the one reading, let him understand), then those in Judea, let them flee to the mountains; ¹⁵ and the one upon the housetop, let him not come down nor go in to take anything out of his house; ¹⁶ and the one in the field, let him not return to the things behind to take his clothing. ¹⁷ And woe to those having in womb and to the ones nursing infants in those days! ¹⁸ And pray that it might not be in winter, ¹⁹ for in those days will be tribulation, the like such as never has been from the beginning of creation which God created until now—and never shall be. ²⁰ And if the Lord had not shortened the days, not any flesh would have been saved; but on account of the elect whom He chose, He has shortened the days. ²¹ And then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ! And he commanded the doorkeeper that he should keep watch. ³⁵ Therefore watch—for you do not know when the master of the house comes: either at evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or morning— ³⁶ lest having come suddenly, he should find you sleeping. ³⁷ And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!”

²⁰ Therefore the Jews said, “This temple was built in forty and six years, and You will raise it up in three days?”

² And answering, He said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, no not even a stone shall be left here upon a stone, which will not be thrown down.”

² And Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone shall be left here upon a stone, which shall not be thrown down.”

⁴⁴ And they will level you to the ground, and your children within you, and will not leave a stone upon a stone within you, because you did not know the season of your visitation.” ⁴⁵ And having entered into the temple, He began to cast out those selling, ⁴⁶ saying to them, “It has been written: ‘And My house will be a house of prayer.’ But you have made it ‘a den of robbers.’” ⁴⁷ And He was teaching every day in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the foremost of the people were seeking to destroy Him. ⁴⁸ And they did not find what they might do; for all the people are listening, hanging on His words.

¹³ And they set false witnesses, saying, “This man does not stop speaking words against this holy place and the Law. ¹⁴ For we have heard him saying that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and will change the customs that Moses delivered to us.”

³ And as He was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him in private, saying, “Tell us, when these things will be? And what is the sign of Your coming, and the consummation of the age?”

²¹ Therefore having seen him, Peter says to Jesus, “Lord, and what about this man?” ²² Jesus says to him, “If I desire him to remain until I come, what is it to you? You follow Me!”

⁶ So indeed those having come together were asking Him, saying, “Lord, at this time are you restoring the kingdom to Israel?” ⁷ And He said to them, “It is not yours to know times or seasons that the Father put in place by His own authority.

² and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.”

¹⁷ From that time Jesus began to proclaim and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near!”

⁴ And Jesus answering, said to them, “Take heed, lest anyone mislead you. ⁵ For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will mislead many.

¹¹ and many false prophets will arise, and will lead many astray.

²³ Then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or ‘Here,’ do not believe it. ²⁴ For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will give great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. ²⁵ Behold, I have foretold you.

²³ And they will say to you, ‘Behold there,’ or ‘Behold here.’ Do not go forth nor follow.

⁴³ I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another should come in the own name, you will receive him.

²⁴ Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”

³⁶ For before these days, Theudas rose up, affirming himself to be somebody—to whom a number of men, about four hundred, were joined—who was put to death, and all, as many as were persuaded by him, were dispersed; and it came to nothing. ³⁷ After this man, Judas the Galilean rose up in the days of the registration and drew away people after him. And he perished, and all, as many as were persuaded by him, were scattered.

⁹ Now a certain man named Simon had formerly been practicing sorcery in the city and amazing the people of Samaria, declaring himself to be someone great, ¹⁰ to whom all were giving heed, from small to great, saying, “This one is the power of God that is called Great.”

¹³ For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. ¹⁴ And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. ¹⁵ Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds.

⁶ Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.

³ No one should deceive you in any way, because it is not until the apostasy shall have come first, and the man of lawlessness shall have been revealed—the son of destruction,

⁹ whose coming is according to the working of Satan, in every power, and in signs, and in wonders of falsehood, ¹⁰ and in every deception of wickedness unto those perishing, in return for which they did not receive the love of the truth in order for them to be saved. ¹¹ And because of this, God will send to them a working of delusion, for them to believe what is false,

¹³ But evil men and imposters will advance to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

¹ Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

⁷ For many deceivers have entered into the world, those not confessing Jesus Christ coming in flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.

³ Blessed is the one reading, and those hearing the words of the prophecy, and keeping the things having been written in it; for the time is near.

⁹ And the great dragon was thrown out, the ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, deceiving the whole inhabited world. He was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

²⁸ And one of them named Agabus, having risen up, signified by the Spirit that a great famine is about to be over the whole world—which came to pass under Claudius.

²⁷ And this, “Yet once more,” signifies the removing of the things being shaken, as having been created, so that the things not being shaken should remain.

² And I looked, and behold, a white horse, and the one sitting on it having a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went forth overcoming, and that he might conquer. ³ And when He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come!” ⁴ And another horse went forth, bright red; and to the one sitting on it, to him was granted to take the peace from the earth, and that they will slay one another; and a great sword was given to him. ⁵ And when He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, “Come!” And I looked, and behold, a black horse, and the one sitting on it having a pair of scales in his hand. ⁶ And I heard something like a voice in the midst of the four living creatures, saying, “A choenix of wheat for a denarius, and three choenixes of barley for a denarius; and you should not injure the oil and the wine.” ⁷ And when He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come!” ⁸ And I looked, and behold, a pale horse, and the one sitting on it, the name of him was Death, and Hades was following with him; and authority was given to them over the fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, and with famine, and with plague, and by the beasts of the earth. ⁹ And when He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those having been slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony which they had upheld. ¹⁰ And they were crying in a loud voice, saying, “Until when, O Lord, holy and true, do You not judge and avenge our blood from those dwelling upon the earth?” ¹¹ And to each of them were given white robes, and it was said to them that they shall rest yet a little time, until their fellow servants would also be complete, and their brothers, those being about to be killed as they also had been. ¹² And I saw when He opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the whole moon became like blood,

²⁹ And immediately after the tribulation of those days: ‘The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.’ ³⁰ And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn. ¹⁶ Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves; therefore be shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves. ¹⁷ But beware of men; for they will deliver you into the courts and they will flog you in their synagogues. ¹⁸ And you will be brought also before governors and kings on account of Me, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. ¹⁹ And when they deliver you up, do not be anxious how or what you should speak; for in that hour you will be given what you should say, ²⁰ for you are not those speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. ²¹ And brother will deliver up brother to death, and father, child; and children will rise up against parents and will put them to death. ²² And you will be hated by all on account of My name; but the one having endured to the end, he will be saved. ²³ And whenever they persecute you in one city, flee to the next. For truly I say to you, you shall not have completed the cities of Israel until the Son of Man comes. ²⁴ A disciple is not above the teacher, nor a servant above his master. ²⁵ It is sufficient for the disciple that he become like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If the master of the house they called Beelzebul, how much more those of his household!

⁶ And the rest, having laid hold of his servants, mistreated and killed them.

³⁴ Because of this, behold, I send to you prophets and wise men and scribes. Some of them you will kill and will crucify, and some of them you will flog in your synagogues, and will persecute from town to town; ³⁵ so that upon you shall come all the righteous blood being poured out upon the earth, from the blood of the righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. ³⁶ Truly I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.

⁹ Then will they deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all the nations on account of My name. ¹⁰ And then many will fall away, and they will betray one another, and will hate one another;

⁹ But you take heed to yourselves. They will betray you to courts, and you will be beaten in synagogues; and you will stand before governors and kings because of Me, for a testimony to them. ¹⁰ And the gospel it behooves first to proclaim to all the nations. ¹¹ But when they might lead you away, delivering you up, do not be anxious beforehand what you should say; but whatever might be given to you in that hour, speak that. For you are not those speaking, but the Holy Spirit. ¹² And brother will deliver up brother to death, and father, child; and children will rise up against parents, and will put them to death. ¹³ And you will be hated by all on account of My name; but the one having endured to the end, he will be saved.

⁴⁹ Because of this also, the Wisdom of God said, ‘I will send to them prophets and apostles, and some of them they will kill and persecute,’ ⁵⁰ so that the blood of all the prophets having been poured out from the foundation of the world might be charged against this generation, ⁵¹ from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, the one having perished between the altar and the house. Yes, I say to you, it will be required of this generation.

²⁰ Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

² They will put you out of the synagogues; but an hour is coming that everyone having killed you will think it is to offer a service to God. ³ And they will do these things because they do not know the Father nor Me.

³ And they laid hands on them and put them in custody until the next day; for it was already evening. ⁴ But many of those having heard the word believed, and the number of the men became about five thousand. ⁵ And it came to pass on the next day, their rulers and elders and scribes were gathered together in Jerusalem, ⁶ and Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of high-priestly descent. ⁷ And having placed them in the midst, they began to inquire, “In what power or in what name have you done this?”

¹⁷ But the high priest, having risen up, and all those with him (being the sect of the Sadducees) were filled with jealousy, ¹⁸ and they laid hands on the apostles and put them in the public jail. ¹⁹ But during the night an angel of the Lord, having opened the doors of the jail, having brought them out, also said,

⁴⁰ And they were persuaded by him. And having called in the apostles, having beaten them, they commanded them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and they released them.

¹² And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes; and having come upon him, they seized him and brought him to the Council. ¹³ And they set false witnesses, saying, “This man does not stop speaking words against this holy place and the Law. ¹⁴ For we have heard him saying that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and will change the customs that Moses delivered to us.” ¹⁵ And having looked intently on him, all sitting in the Council saw his face as the face of an angel.

⁵⁷ And having cried out with a loud voice, they held their ears and rushed upon him with one accord, ⁵⁸ and having cast him out of the city, began to stone him. And the witnesses laid aside their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul. ⁵⁹ And as they were stoning Stephen, he was calling out and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” ⁶⁰ And having fallen on his knees, he cried in a loud voice, “Lord, do not place this sin to them.” And having said this, he fell asleep.

³ But Saul was destroying the church. Entering houses after houses and dragging off men and women, he was delivering them to prison.

⁴ And having fallen on the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me?”

¹ Now at that time, Herod the king put forth the hands to mistreat some of those of the church. ² And he put to death James the brother of John with the sword. ³ And having seen that it is pleasing to the Jews, he proceeded to take Peter also—now these were the days of the Unleavened Bread— ⁴ whom also, having seized, he put in prison, having delivered him to four sets of four soldiers to guard him, intending to bring him out to the people after the Passover.

²² And the crowd rose up together against them, and the magistrates having torn off their garments, were commanding that they be beaten with rods. ²³ And having laid many blows on them, they cast them into prison, having charged the jailer to keep them securely, ²⁴ who having received such an order, threw them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks. ²⁵ Now toward midnight, Paul and Silas praying, were singing praises to God. And the prisoners were listening to them. ²⁶ And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that foundations of the prison house were shaken, and immediately all the doors were opened, and the chains of all were loosed.

³⁰ And the whole city was provoked, and there was a rushing together of the people. And having laid hold of Paul, they dragged him outside the temple, and immediately the doors were shut. ³¹ And of them seeking to kill him, a report came to the commander of the cohort that all Jerusalem was in an uproar,

³⁰ And on the next day, desiring to know for certain why he is accused by the Jews, he unbound him and commanded the chief priests and the whole council to assemble. And having brought down Paul, he set him among them.

¹ And after five days, the high priest Ananias came down with some elders and a certain orator, Tertullus, who made a representation against Paul to the governor. ² And of him having been called, Tertullus began to accuse, saying, “We are attaining great peace through you, and excellent measures are being done to this nation through your foresight. ³ Both in every way and everywhere, we gladly accept it, most excellent Felix, with all thankfulness. ⁴ But in order that I should not be a hindrance you to any longer, I implore you to hear us briefly, in your kindness. ⁵ For we are having found this man a pest, and stirring insurrection among all the Jews in the world, and a leader of the sect of the Nazarenes ⁶ who even attempted to profane the temple, whom also we seized. ^{7 8} Having examined him yourself, you will be able to know from him concerning all these things of which we accuse him.” ⁹ And the Jews also agreed, declaring these things to be so.

¹ Therefore Festus, having arrived in the province, after three days went up to Jerusalem from Caesarea. ² And the chief priests and the chiefs of the Jews made a presentation before him against Paul, and they were begging him,

¹¹ Therefore if indeed I do wrong and have done anything worthy of death, I do not refuse to die. But if there is nothing of which they can accuse me, no one can give me up to them. I appeal to Caesar!” ¹² Then Festus, having conferred with the Council, answered, “You have appealed to Caesar; to Caesar you will go!”

²² Then Agrippa said to Festus, “I have been wanting also to hear the man myself.” He says, “Tomorrow you will hear him.” ²³ So on the next day Agrippa and Bernice, having come with great pomp and having entered into the audience hall with both the commanders and the men in prominence in the city, and Festus having commanded, Paul was brought in. ²⁴ And Festus says, “King Agrippa and all men being present with us, you see this one concerning whom the whole multitude of the Jews pleaded with me, both in Jerusalem and here, crying out of him that he ought not to live any longer. ²⁵ But I, having understood him to have done nothing worthy of death, of this one himself now having appealed to the Emperor, I determined to send him,

² “Concerning all of which I am accused by the Jews, King Agrippa, I esteem myself fortunate before you, being about to defend myself today, ³ you being especially acquainted with all the customs and also controversies of the Jews. Therefore I implore you to hear me patiently. ⁴ Then indeed all the Jews know my manner of life which is from youth, having been from its beginning among my own nation and in Jerusalem, ⁵ knowing me from the first, if they would be willing to testify, that according to the strictest sect of our religion I lived as a Pharisee. ⁶ And now I stand being judged for the hope of the promise having been made by God to our fathers, ⁷ to which our twelve tribes hope to attain, serving in earnestness night and day, the hope concerning which I am accused by the Jews, O king. ⁸ Why is it judged incredible by you if God raises the dead? ⁹ Therefore I indeed in myself thought I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth, ¹⁰ which also I did in Jerusalem. And I also locked up many of the saints in prisons, having received the authority from the chief priests; and they being put to death, I cast against them a vote. ¹¹ And in all the synagogues, punishing them often, I was compelling them to blaspheme. And being exceedingly furious against them, I kept persecuting them even as far as to foreign cities,

¹⁵ who having killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and having driven us out, and not pleasing God, are also set against all men, ¹⁶ forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, so as always to fill up their sins. Now the wrath has come upon them to the utmost.

¹³ Be in subjection to every human institution for the sake of the Lord, whether to the king as being supreme,

¹² Beloved, do not be surprised at the fire among you taking place for a trial to you, as if a strange thing were happening to you. ¹³ But as you have shared in the sufferings of Christ, rejoice, so that also in the revelation of His glory you may rejoice, exulting. ¹⁴ If you are insulted in the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.

¹⁰ Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you might be tested; and you shall have tribulation ten days. Be faithful unto death, and I will give to you the crown of life.

¹² Now I want you to know brothers, that the things concerning me really have turned out to the advancement of the gospel,

²⁸ and not being frightened in anything by those opposing you, which is a demonstration of destruction to them, but of salvation to you—and this from God.

³ that no one be moved in these tribulations. For you yourselves know that we are destined for this. ⁴ And indeed, when we were with you, we were telling you beforehand that we are about to suffer affliction, just as also it came to pass, and you know.

⁵ This is a plain token of the righteous judgment of God, for you to be accounted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which also you suffer.

¹⁹ And when they deliver you up, do not be anxious how or what you should speak; for in that hour you will be given what you should say, ²⁰ for you are not those speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

¹¹ But when they might lead you away, delivering you up, do not be anxious beforehand what you should say; but whatever might be given to you in that hour, speak that. For you are not those speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

¹¹ And when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious how or what you shall reply in defense, or what you should say. ¹² For the Holy Spirit will teach you in the same hour what it behooves you to say.”

⁴⁵ Then He opened their mind to understand the Scriptures.

⁴ And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit was giving to them to utter forth.

⁸ Then Peter, having been filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders, ⁹ if we are being examined this day as to a good work to the ailing man, by what means he has been healed, ¹⁰ let it be known to all of you, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth—whom you crucified, whom God raised out from the dead—in Him this man stands before you sound. ¹¹ This is ‘the stone having been rejected by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.’ ¹² And there is salvation in no other, for there is not another name under heaven having been given among men, by which it behooves us to be saved.” ¹³ Now seeing the boldness of Peter and of John, and having understood that they are unschooled and ordinary men, they were astonished. And they recognized them, that they had been with Jesus.

³¹ And they having prayed, the place in which they were assembled was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and were speaking the word of God with boldness. ³² Now the multitude of those having believed were one in heart and soul, and not one claimed anything of that which he possesses to be his own, but all things were theirs in common. ³³ And with great power, the apostles were giving testimony of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and abundant grace was upon them all.

¹⁰ And they were not able to withstand the wisdom and the Spirit by whom he was speaking.

²⁵ And of him reasoning concerning righteousness and self-control and the coming judgment, Felix, having become frightened, answered, “Go away for the present, and having found opportunity, I will call for you.”

²⁸ Then Agrippa said to Paul, “Within so little time do you persuade me to become a Christian?”

¹⁹ and also for me, that in the opening of my mouth, divine utterance may be given to me to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,

³ praying at the same time also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which also I have been bound, ⁴ so that I should make it clear, as it behooves me to speak.

¹⁶ In my first defense, no one has stood with me, but all deserted me. May it be not charged to them! ¹⁷ But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the proclamation would be fully accomplished, and all the Gentiles should hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

⁵ Now if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God, the One giving generously to all and not finding fault, and it will be given to him.

²¹ And brother will deliver up brother to death, and father, child; and children will rise up against parents and will put them to death.

¹³ I know where you dwell, where the throne of Satan is; and you hold fast to My name, and you have not denied My faith, even in the days of Antipas My witness, My faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.

⁹ And when He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those having been slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony which they had upheld.

¹¹ And they have overcome him by reason of the blood of the Lamb, and by reason of the word of their testimony; and they have not loved their life unto death.

¹¹ Blessed are you when they shall insult you and shall persecute you, and lying shall say all kinds of evil against you on account of Me.

²² And you will be hated by all on account of My name; but the one having endured to the end, he will be saved.

⁹ Then will they deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all the nations on account of My name.

¹³ And you will be hated by all on account of My name; but the one having endured to the end, he will be saved.

²² Blessed are you when men shall hate you, and when they shall exclude you, and shall insult you, and shall cast out your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man.

⁷ The world is not able to hate you; but it hates Me, because I bear witness concerning it that its works are evil.

¹⁹ If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world but I chose you out of the world, on account of this, the world hates you.

²¹ But they will do all these things against you on account of My name, because they have not known the One having sent Me.

¹⁴ I have given them Your word, and the world hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

¹⁶ For I will show to him how much it behooves him to suffer for My name.”

⁵ For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord; and ourselves as your servants for the sake of Jesus.

¹¹ For we the living are always being delivered to death on account of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our mortal flesh.

¹⁰ Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, and difficulties for Christ; for when I might be weak, then I am strong.

²⁹ For it has been granted to you concerning Christ, not only to believe in Him but also to suffer concerning Him,

¹⁴ If you are insulted in the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.

³ And you have perseverance, and have endured for the sake of My name, and have not grown weary.

³⁰ And even the hairs of your head are all numbered.

⁷ But even the hairs of your head all have been numbered. Fear not; you are more valuable than many sparrows.

³⁴ Therefore I exhort you to take food, for this is for your preservation; for not one hair of your head will perish.”

¹³ But the one having endured to the end, he will be saved.

¹⁵ And that in the good soil, these are those who, having heard the word, keep it in a worthy and good heart and bring forth fruit by perseverance.

⁷ to those who indeed with endurance in good work are seeking glory and honor and immortality, eternal life;

³ And not only so, but also we glory in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;

²⁵ But if we hope for what we do not see, we await in patience.

⁴ For whatever was written in the past was all written for our instruction, so that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures, we might have hope.

³ remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and unceasing labor of love, and the endurance of the hope of our Lord Jesus Christ,

⁵ And may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the steadfastness of Christ.

¹¹ And we desire each of you to show the same earnestness, toward the full assurance of the hope unto the end,

¹⁵ And thus having waited patiently, he obtained the promise.

³⁶ For you have need of endurance, so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise.

³ knowing that testing of your faith produces endurance.

⁷ Therefore be patient, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer awaits the precious fruit of the earth, being patient for it until it receives the early and latter rains. ⁸ You also be patient; strengthen your hearts, because the coming of the Lord has drawn near. ⁹ Do not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing before the doors. ¹⁰ Brothers as an example of suffering evils and of patience, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. ¹¹ Behold, we count blessed those having persevered. You have heard of the perseverance of Job, and you have seen the outcome from the Lord, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful.

⁹ I John, your brother and fellow-partaker in the tribulation and kingdom and perseverance in Jesus, was in the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

² I know your works and your labor and endurance, and that you are not able to tolerate evil ones. And you have tested those claiming to be apostles and are not, and you have found them false. ³ And you have perseverance, and have endured for the sake of My name, and have not grown weary.

¹⁰ Because you have kept the word of My patient endurance, I also will keep you out of the hour of the trial being about to come upon the whole inhabited world, to try those dwelling upon the earth.

¹⁰ “If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he goes; If anyone is to be killed with the sword, by the sword it is necessary for him to be killed.” Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints.

¹² Here is the endurance of the saints, those keeping the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

¹⁵ Therefore when you shall see ‘the abomination of desolation,’ having been spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place—the one reading, let him understand—

⁴³ For days will come upon you that your enemies will cast around you a barricade, and will surround you and will hem you in on every side.

⁷ And they asked Him, saying, “Teacher, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when these things are about to take place?”

¹⁶ then those in Judea, let them flee to the mountains;

¹⁵ and the one upon the housetop, let him not come down nor go in to take anything out of his house;

³¹ In that day, the one who will be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, do not let him come down to take them away; and likewise the one in the field, do not let him return to the things behind. ³² Remember Lot’s wife! ³³ Whoever may seek to save his life will lose it; but whoever will lose it will preserve it.

⁴ And I heard another voice from heaven, saying: “Come out of her, my people, so that you may not have fellowship in her sins, and so that you may not receive of her plagues.

²² And all this has come to pass, so that it may be fulfilled that having been spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,

¹⁹ for in those days will be tribulation, the like such as never has been from the beginning of creation which God created until now—and never shall be. ²⁰ And if the Lord had not shortened the days, not any flesh would have been saved; but on account of the elect whom He chose, He has shortened the days.

⁵ But because of your hardness and unrepentant heart, you are treasuring up to yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgement of God,

⁹ then the Lord knows to deliver the devout out of temptation and to keep the unrighteous being punished unto the day of judgment,

⁷ But by the same word now the heavens and the earth exist, having been stored up for fire, being kept unto the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

⁴¹ They say to him, “He will destroy them, the wretches, grievously, and he will rent out the vineyard to other farmers who will give to him the fruits in their seasons.”

⁴⁴ And the one having fallen on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.”

¹⁹ And woe to those having in womb, and to the ones nursing infants in those days!

¹⁷ And woe to those having in womb and to the ones nursing infants in those days!

²⁷ Furthermore, these enemies of mine, those not having been willing for me to reign over them, bring them here and slay them before me.’”

²⁹ For behold, the days are coming in which they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never did bear, and breasts that never nursed.’

¹⁶ forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, so as always to fill up their sins. Now the wrath has come upon them to the utmost.

¹² nor by blood of goats and calves, but through the own blood, He entered once for all into the holy places, having obtained eternal redemption. ¹³ For if the blood of goats and of bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those having been defiled sanctify them for the purification of the flesh, ¹⁴ how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself unblemished to God, purify our conscience from dead works, in order to serve the living God! ¹⁵ And because of this, He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, death having taken place for redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, those having been called might receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. ¹⁶ For where there is a will, it is necessary to establish the death of the one having made it. ¹⁷ For a will is affirmed after death, since it is not in force at the time when the one having made it is living,

²⁶ For if we sin willingly after we are to receive the knowledge of the truth, no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, ²⁷ but a certain terrifying expectation of judgment and fury of fire being about to devour the adversaries. ²⁸ Anyone having set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercies on the basis of two or three witnesses. ²⁹ How much worse punishment do you think will he deserve, the one having trampled upon the Son of God, and having esteemed ordinary the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and having insulted the Spirit of grace? ³⁰ For we know the One having said, “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge His people.” ³¹ it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

¹⁶ And do not be forgetful of the good, and of the sharing; for God is well pleased with such sacrifices.

¹ Come now, you rich, weep, wailing over the miseries that are coming upon you.

¹⁷ For it is the time for the judgment to have begun from the house of God; and if from us first, what will be the outcome of those disobeying the gospel of God?

²⁵ For I do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, of this mystery, so that you may not be wise in yourselves: A hardening in part has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles may come in.

² And leave out the courtyard outside the temple, and do not measure it, because it has been given up to the nations, and they will trample upon the holy city forty and two months.

²⁹ And immediately after the tribulation of those days: ‘The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.’

⁴⁵ And from the sixth hour, darkness was over all the land, until the ninth hour.

²⁴ But in those days, those after the tribulation, ‘The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light;

²⁶ And then will they see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

³³ And the sixth hour having arrived, darkness came over the whole land, until the ninth hour.

¹⁹ And I will show wonders in the heaven above, and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and vapor of smoke.

¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar, and elements will be dissolved, burning with heat, and the earth and the works in it will not be found. ¹¹ All these things being dissolved in this way, what kind ought you to be? In holy conduct and godliness, ¹² expecting and hastening the coming of the day of God, by reason of which the heavens will be dissolved, being set on fire, and the elements are melting, burning with heat.

¹² And I saw when He opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the whole moon became like blood, ¹³ and the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts its unripe figs, being shaken by a great wind. ¹⁴ And heaven departed like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

¹¹ And I saw a great white throne and the One sitting on it, from whose face the earth and heaven fled, and no place was found for them.

²⁵ and the stars will be falling out of the heaven, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken.’

²⁶ For if we sin willingly after we are to receive the knowledge of the truth, no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, ²⁷ but a certain terrifying expectation of judgment and fury of fire being about to devour the adversaries.

²⁷ For the Son of Man is about to come in the glory His Father, with His angels, and then He will give to each according to his deeds. ²⁸ Truly I say to you, there are some of those standing here who shall not taste of death until they have seen the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”

³⁰ And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn. And they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.

³¹ And when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit upon His throne of glory.

⁶⁴ Jesus says to him, “You have said. But I say to you, from now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power and coming upon the clouds of heaven.”

⁹ And having said these things, they beholding, He was lifted up, and a cloud hid Him from their eyes. ¹⁰ And as they were looking intently into heaven as He was going, then behold, two men in white apparel stood by them, ¹¹ who also said, “Men, Galileans, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, having been taken up from you into heaven, will thus come in that manner you beheld Him going into heaven.”

⁷ Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, and those who pierced Him, and all the tribes of the earth will wail because of Him. Yes! Amen!

¹⁴ And I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and upon the cloud is sitting One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle.

⁷ And shall not God execute the avenging of His elect, the ones crying out to Him day and night, and be deferring in regard to them?

¹⁹ For the earnest expectation of the creation awaits the revelation of the sons of God.

²³ And not only so, but we ourselves, even having the firstfruit of the Spirit, also groan ourselves in ourselves, awaiting divine adoption as sons, the redemption of our body.

¹⁴ who is the guarantee of our inheritance to the redemption of the acquired possession, to the praise of His glory.

³⁰ And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

³² Now learn the parable of the fig tree: When its branch already may have become tender and it puts forth leaves, you know that the summer is near. ³³ So also you, when you see all these things, know that He is near, at the doors. ³⁴ Truly I say to you that this generation will not have passed away until all these things shall have taken place. ³⁵ The heaven and the earth will pass away, but My words shall not pass away.

²⁸ And learn the parable of the fig tree: When its branch already has become tender, and it puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. ²⁹ So also you, when you see these things coming to pass, know that He is near, at the doors. ³⁰ Truly I say to you that this generation will not have passed away until all these things shall have taken place.

⁵⁷ And why do you not even judge for yourselves what is right?

¹ And the Pharisees and Sadducees having approached testing Him, asked Him to show them a sign out of heaven. ² And answering He said to them, “Evening having come, you say, ‘Fair weather, for the sky is red,’ ³ and in the morning, ‘Today a storm, for the sky is red, being overcast.’ Indeed you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but the signs of the times you are not able! ⁴ An evil and adulterous generation seeks a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah.” And having left them, He went away.

⁵¹ Do you think that I came to give peace on the earth? No, I say to you, but rather division. ⁵² For from now there will be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. ⁵³ They will be divided father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.” ⁵⁴ And also He was saying to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising up from the west, immediately you say, ‘A shower is coming,’ and so it happens. ⁵⁵ And when a south wind is blowing, you say, ‘There will be heat,’ and it happens. ⁵⁶ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the appearance of the earth and of the sky, but how do you not know to discern this time? ⁵⁷ And why do you not even judge for yourselves what is right?

³⁷ For “Yet in a very while little, the One coming will come, and will not delay.

⁹ Do not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing before the doors.

⁷ Now the end of all has drawn near. Therefore be clear-minded and be sober for the purpose of prayers,

²⁸ Truly I say to you, there are some of those standing here who shall not taste of death until they have seen the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”

³⁶ Truly I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.

³⁴ Truly I say to you that this generation will not have passed away until all these things shall have taken place.

³⁰ Truly I say to you that this generation will not have passed away until all these things shall have taken place.

¹⁸ For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth shall pass away, not even one iota, nor one stroke of a letter, shall pass away from the law, until everything should happen.

³⁵ The heaven and the earth will pass away, but My words shall not pass away.

³¹ The heaven and the earth will pass away, but My words will certainly not pass away.

²⁵ but the word of the Lord abides to the age.” And this is the word having been proclaimed to you.

⁷ But by the same word now the heavens and the earth exist, having been stored up for fire, being kept unto the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. ⁸ But beloved, do not let this one thing be hidden from you, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. ⁹ The Lord does not delay the promise, as some esteem slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing for any to perish, but all to come to repentance. ¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar, and elements will be dissolved, burning with heat, and the earth and the works in it will not be found. ¹¹ All these things being dissolved in this way, what kind ought you to be? In holy conduct and godliness, ¹² expecting and hastening the coming of the day of God, by reason of which the heavens will be dissolved, being set on fire, and the elements are melting, burning with heat. ¹³ But according to His promise, we are awaiting new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. ¹⁴ Therefore, beloved, expecting these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and without blemish.

²² And the one having been sown among the thorns, this is the one hearing the word, but the care of this present age and the deceit of riches choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

³⁹ and they were unaware until the flood came and took away all; so also will be the coming of the Son of Man. ⁴⁰ Then two will be in the field: one is taken, and one is left. ⁴¹ Two women will be grinding at the mill: one is taken, and one is left. ⁴² Therefore keep watch, for you do not know on what day your Lord comes. ⁴³ And know this, that if the master of the house had known in what time of night the thief comes, he would have watched and not have allowed his house to be broken into. ⁴⁴ Because of this, you also be ready, for the Son of Man comes in that hour you do not expect. ⁴⁵ Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has set over his household, to give to them the food in season? ⁴⁶ Blessed is that servant whom his master, having come, will find thus doing. ⁴⁷ Truly I say to you that he will set him over all of his possessing. ⁴⁸ But if that evil servant should say in his heart, ‘My master delays,’ ⁴⁹ and should begin to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and to drink with those being drunkards, ⁵⁰ the master of that servant will come in a day in which he does not expect, and in an hour which he is unaware,

¹⁹ and the cares of this age and the deceit of riches, and the desires of the other things entering in, choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

⁹ But you take heed to yourselves. They will betray you to courts, and you will be beaten in synagogues; and you will stand before governors and kings because of Me, for a testimony to them.

¹⁴ And that having fallen into the thorns, these are those having heard, and moving along are choked under the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and do not mature.

⁴¹ And the Lord answering said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things;

⁴⁰ You also, be ready; for the Son of Man comes in the hour you do not expect.”

⁴⁵ But if that servant should say in his heart, ‘My master delays to come,’ and should begin to beat the men-servants and the maid-servants, and to eat and to drink and to get drunk, ⁴⁶ the master of that servant will come in a day in which he does not expect, and in an hour that he does not know, and he will cut him in two and will appoint him a place with the unbelievers.

³ Take heed to yourselves: If your brother should sin, rebuke him; and if he should repent, forgive him.

¹¹ And do this knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken out of sleep; for our salvation is nearer now than when first we believed. ¹² The night is nearly over, and the day has drawn near; therefore we should cast off the works of darkness and should put on the armor of light. ¹³ We should walk properly, as in daytime; not in reveling and drinking, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in dissension and jealousy.

¹¹ But now, I wrote to you not to associate with anyone being designated a brother if he is sexually immoral or a coveter, or an idolater or verbal abuser, or a drunkard or swindler—with such a one not even to eat.

¹⁰ nor thieves, nor coveters, not drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.

²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, contentions, dissensions, factions,

⁶ Be anxious about nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

² For you yourselves fully know that the day of the Lord comes in this manner, as a thief by night. ³ For when they might say, “Peace and security,” then suddenly destruction comes upon them, as the labor pains to her having in womb; and they shall not escape. ⁴ But you, brothers, are not in darkness, so that the day should overtake you like a thief. ⁵ For you are all sons of light and sons of day; we are not of night nor of darkness. ⁶ So then we should not sleep as the others, but we should watch and we should be sober. ⁷ For those sleeping, sleep by night; and those becoming drunk, get drunk by night. ⁸ But we being of the day should be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and the helmet, the hope of salvation,

¹⁵ observing lest any be failing of the grace of God, lest any root of bitterness springing up should trouble you and by this, the many might be defiled,

³ For the time past is sufficient to have carried out the desire of the Gentiles, having walked in sensuality, lusts, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and abominable idolatries. ⁴ With respect to this, they think it strange of you not running with them into the same overflow of debauchery, speaking evil of you, ⁵ who will give account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. ⁶ For to this end the gospel was proclaimed even to the dead, so that they might be judged indeed according to men in the flesh, but they might live in the spirit according to God. ⁷ Now the end of all has drawn near. Therefore be clear-minded and be sober for the purpose of prayers,

¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar, and elements will be dissolved, burning with heat, and the earth and the works in it will not be found.

¹⁴ Therefore, beloved, expecting these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and without blemish.

³ Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard—and keep it and repent. If therefore you shall not watch, I will come like a thief, and you shall not know at what hour I will come upon you.

³⁷ And answering, they say to Him, “Where, Lord?” And He said to them, “Where the body is, there also the vultures will be gathered together.”

²⁶ And He made from one man every nation of men, to dwell upon all the face of the earth, having determined the appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation,

¹⁵ “Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one watching and keeping his garments, so that he should not walk naked and they might see his shame.”

⁴² Therefore keep watch, for you do not know on what day your Lord comes.

¹³ Therefore watch, for you do not know the day, nor the hour.

⁴¹ Watch and pray, that you do not enter into temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the flesh weak.”

³³ Take heed; watch; for you do not know when the time is.

³⁷ And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!”

³⁷ Blessed are those servants whom, having come, the master will find watching. Truly I say to you that he will gird himself and will make them recline, and having come up, will serve them. ³⁸ And if he comes in the second, and if in the third watch, and finds them thus, blessed are those! ³⁹ But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what hour the thief is coming, he would not have allowed his house to be broken into. ⁴⁰ You also, be ready; for the Son of Man comes in the hour you do not expect.”

¹ And He was speaking to them a parable about the way it behooves them always to pray and not to lose heart,

³⁵ But those having been considered worthy to obtain that which is to the age, and the resurrection which is from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage.

² devout and fearing God with all his household, doing many alms to the people and praying to God continually.

¹³ Watch you; stand firm in the faith; act like men; be strong.

¹³ Because of this, take up the complete armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all things, to stand. ¹⁴ Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

¹⁸ through all prayer and supplication, praying in the Spirit in every season and unto this very thing, watching with all perseverance and supplication for all saints, ¹⁹ and also for me, that in the opening of my mouth, divine utterance may be given to me to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,

² Continue steadfastly in prayer, watching in it, with thanksgiving,

¹⁷ Pray unceasingly.

⁵ This is a plain token of the righteous judgment of God, for you to be accounted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which also you suffer. ⁶ For indeed it is righteous with God to repay those oppressing you with affliction,

⁵ But you, be sober in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fully carry out your ministry.

⁸ Be sober-minded; watch. Your adversary the devil prowls about as a roaring lion seeking whom to devour,

²⁸ And now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears we might have boldness and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming.

²⁴ Now to Him being able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless in the presence of His glory, with exultation—

¹ And when they drew near to Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,

¹⁷ And having left them, He went out of the city to Bethany, and He passed the night there.

³⁰ And having sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

⁵⁵ In that hour, Jesus said to the crowds, “Did you come out with swords and clubs, as against a robber, to capture Me? Every day in the temple I was sitting, teaching, and you did not seize Me.

¹² And on the next day, they having gone out from Bethany, He was hungry.

¹⁹ And when evening came, they were going forth out of the city.

³⁷ And as He is drawing near, already at the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples rejoicing, began to praise God in a loud voice for all the mighty works which they had seen,

³⁹ And having gone forth, He went according to the custom to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples also followed Him.

¹ Therefore six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised out from the dead.

¹² Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, holding a Sabbath day’s journey.

¹ But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. ² And early in the morning again He came into the temple, and all the people were coming to Him. And having sat down, He was teaching them.
