¹⁹ And having taken the bread, having given thanks, He broke it and gave to them, saying, “This is My body, which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me,”

¹⁹ And having commanded the crowds to sit down on the grass, having taken the five loaves and the two fish, having looked up to heaven, He spoke a blessing. And having broken, He gave the loaves to the disciples, and the disciples to the crowds.

²⁶ Now as they were eating, Jesus, having taken bread and having blessed it, broke it, and having given it to the disciples, He said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” ²⁷ And having taken the cup and having given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you. ²⁸ For this is My blood of the covenant, being poured out for many, for forgiveness of sins.

²² And as they were eating, having taken bread, having spoken a blessing, He broke it and gave it to them and said, “Take it; this is My body.” ²³ And having taken the cup, having given thanks, He gave it to them, and they all drank of it. ²⁴ And He said to them, “This is My blood of the covenant, which is being poured out for many.

¹⁷ And having received the cup, having given thanks, He said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves.

²⁰ and the cup likewise, after having supped, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is being poured out for you.

³⁰ And it came to pass in His reclining with them, having taken the bread, He blessed it; and having broken it, He began giving it to them.

²³ (but other boats from Tiberias came near the place where they ate the bread, the Lord having given thanks),

⁵¹ I am the living bread, having come down from heaven. If anyone shall have eaten of this bread, he will live to the age. And also, the bread that I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.”

⁴ and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they were drinking from the spiritual rock accompanying them, and the rock was Christ.

¹⁶ Is not the cup of blessing that we bless a participation in the blood of Christ? Is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ?

²³ For I received from the Lord that which also I delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed, took bread, ²⁴ and having given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” ²⁵ Likewise also the cup after having supped, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you might drink it, in remembrance of Me.” ²⁶ For as often as you may eat this bread and may drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He should come. ²⁷ Therefore whoever should eat the bread or should drink the cup of the Lord unworthily will be guilty of the body and of the blood of the Lord. ²⁸ But let a man examine himself, and in this manner let him eat of the bread, and let him drink of the cup. ²⁹ For the one eating and drinking not discerning the body, eats and drinks judgment on himself.

⁴ the One having given Himself for our sins, so that He might deliver us out of the evil age having come presently, according to the will our God and Father,

²⁵ Now Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present Jerusalem, for she is in slavery with her children.

² and walk in love, just as Christ also loved us and gave Himself up for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God, into an aroma of a sweet smell.

¹⁸ Give thanks in everything, for this is the will of God toward you in Christ Jesus.

¹⁴ who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all lawlessness and might purify to Himself a people specially chosen, zealous of good works.

²⁴ Who Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that, having been dead to sins, we might live to righteousness. “By whose scourge marks you have been healed.”
