⁴⁶ Καὶ (And) εἶπεν (He said) αὐτοῖς (to them) ὅτι (-), “Οὕτως (Thus) γέγραπται (it has been written): παθεῖν (Was to suffer) τὸν (the) Χριστὸν (Christ), καὶ (and) ἀναστῆναι (to rise) ἐκ (out from) νεκρῶν (the dead) τῇ (the) τρίτῃ (third) ἡμέρᾳ (day);

⁷ λέγων (saying), ‘Τὸν (The) Υἱὸν (Son) τοῦ (-) ἀνθρώπου (of Man) ὅτι (-) δεῖ (it behooves) παραδοθῆναι (to be delivered) εἰς (into) χεῖρας (hands) ἀνθρώπων (of men) ἁμαρτωλῶν (sinful), καὶ (and) σταυρωθῆναι (to be crucified), καὶ (and) τῇ (the) τρίτῃ (third) ἡμέρᾳ (day) ἀναστῆναι (to arise).’”

²⁶ οὐχὶ (Not) ταῦτα (these things) ἔδει (was it necessary for) παθεῖν (to suffer) τὸν (the) Χριστὸν (Christ) καὶ (and) εἰσελθεῖν (to enter) εἰς (into) τὴν (the) δόξαν (glory) αὐτοῦ (of Him)?” ²⁷ καὶ (And) ἀρξάμενος (having begun) ἀπὸ (from) Μωϋσέως (Moses) καὶ (and) ἀπὸ (from) πάντων (all) τῶν (the) προφητῶν (Prophets), διερμήνευσεν (He interpreted) αὐτοῖς (to them) ἐν (in) πάσαις (all) ταῖς (the) γραφαῖς (Scriptures) τὰ (the things) περὶ (concerning) ἑαυτοῦ (Himself).

⁴⁴ Εἶπεν (He said) δὲ (now) πρὸς (unto) αὐτούς (to them), “Οὗτοι (These are) οἱ (the) λόγοι (words) μου (of me), οὓς (which) ἐλάλησα (I spoke) πρὸς (to) ὑμᾶς (you) ἔτι (still) ὢν (being) σὺν (with) ὑμῖν (you), ὅτι (that) δεῖ (it behooves) πληρωθῆναι (to be fulfilled) πάντα (all things) τὰ (-) γεγραμμένα (having been written) ἐν (in) τῷ (the) νόμῳ (law) Μωϋσέως (of Moses), καὶ (and) τοῖς (the) προφήταις (Prophets) καὶ (and) ψαλμοῖς (the Psalms) περὶ (concerning) ἐμοῦ (Me).”

¹² Καὶ (And) οὐκ (not) ἔστιν (there is) ἐν (in) ἄλλῳ (other) οὐδενὶ (no one) ἡ (the) σωτηρία (salvation), οὐδὲ (not) γὰρ (for) ὄνομά (name) ἐστιν (is there) ἕτερον (another) ὑπὸ (under) τὸν (-) οὐρανὸν (heaven) τὸ (-) δεδομένον (having been given) ἐν (among) ἀνθρώποις (men) ἐν (by) ᾧ (which) δεῖ (it behooves) σωθῆναι (to be saved) ἡμᾶς (us).”

³ διανοίγων (opening) καὶ (and) παρατιθέμενος (setting forth) ὅτι (that) τὸν (the) Χριστὸν (Christ) ἔδει (it behooved) παθεῖν (to have suffered), καὶ (and) ἀναστῆναι (to have risen) ἐκ (out from) νεκρῶν (the dead), καὶ (and) ὅτι (that) “Οὗτός (this) ἐστιν (is) ὁ (the) Χριστός (Christ) ὁ (-) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus), ὃν (whom) ἐγὼ (I) καταγγέλλω (preach) ὑμῖν (to you).”
