²³ πᾶς (Everyone) ὁ (-) ἀρνούμενος (denying) τὸν (the) Υἱὸν (Son), οὐδὲ (neither) τὸν (the) Πατέρα (Father) ἔχει (has he). ὁ (The one) ὁμολογῶν (confessing) τὸν (the) Υἱὸν (Son), καὶ (also) τὸν (the) Πατέρα (Father) ἔχει (has).

²⁷ Πάντα (All things) μοι (to Me) παρεδόθη (have been delivered) ὑπὸ (by) τοῦ (the) Πατρός (Father) μου (of Me). καὶ (And) οὐδεὶς (no one) ἐπιγινώσκει (knows) τὸν (the) Υἱὸν (Son), εἰ (if) μὴ (not) ὁ (the) Πατήρ (Father); οὐδὲ (nor) τὸν (the) Πατέρα (Father) τις (anyone) ἐπιγινώσκει (does know), εἰ (if) μὴ (not) ὁ (the) Υἱὸς (Son), καὶ (and) ᾧ (to whom) ἐὰν (if) βούληται (might choose) ὁ (the) Υἱὸς (Son) ἀποκαλύψαι (to reveal Him).

²² Πάντα (All things) μοι (to Me) παρεδόθη (have been delivered) ὑπὸ (by) τοῦ (the) Πατρός (Father) μου (of Me). καὶ (And) οὐδεὶς (no one) γινώσκει (knows) τίς (who) ἐστιν (is) ὁ (the) Υἱὸς (Son), εἰ (if) μὴ (not) ὁ (the) Πατήρ (Father); καὶ (and) τίς (who) ἐστιν (is) ὁ (the) Πατὴρ (Father), εἰ (if) μὴ (not) ὁ (the) Υἱὸς (Son), καὶ (and) ᾧ (to whom) ἐὰν (if) βούληται (might resolve) ὁ (the) Υἱὸς (Son) ἀποκαλύψαι (to reveal Him).”

²³ ἵνα (so that) πάντες (all) τιμῶσι (may honor) τὸν (the) Υἱὸν (Son), καθὼς (even as) τιμῶσι (they honor) τὸν (the) Πατέρα (Father). ὁ (He who) μὴ (not) τιμῶν (is honoring) τὸν (the) Υἱὸν (Son), οὐ (not) τιμᾷ (is honoring) τὸν (the) Πατέρα (Father), τὸν (the One) πέμψαντα (having sent) αὐτόν (Him).

¹⁹ Ἔλεγον (They were saying) οὖν (therefore) αὐτῷ (to Him), “Ποῦ (Where) ἐστιν (is) ὁ (the) Πατήρ (Father) σου (of You)?” Ἀπεκρίθη (Answered) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus), “Οὔτε (Neither) ἐμὲ (Me) οἴδατε (you know), οὔτε (nor) τὸν (the) Πατέρα (Father) μου (of Me). εἰ (If) ἐμὲ (Me) ᾔδειτε (you had known), καὶ (also) τὸν (the) Πατέρα (Father) μου (of Me) ἂν (-) ᾔδειτε (you would have known).”

³⁰ ἐγὼ (I) καὶ (and) ὁ (the) Πατὴρ (Father) ἕν (one) ἐσμεν (are).”

⁹ Λέγει (Says) αὐτῷ (to him) ὁ (-) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus), “Τοσούτῳ* (So long) χρόνῳ* (a time) μεθ’ (with) ὑμῶν (you) εἰμι (am I), καὶ (and) οὐκ (not) ἔγνωκάς (you have known) με (Me), Φίλιππε (Philip)? ὁ (The one) ἑωρακὼς (having seen) ἐμὲ (Me) ἑώρακεν (has seen) τὸν (the) Πατέρα (Father); πῶς (how) σὺ (you) λέγεις (say), ‘Δεῖξον (Show) ἡμῖν (us) τὸν (the) Πατέρα (Father)?’ ¹⁰ οὐ (Not) πιστεύεις (believe you) ὅτι (that) ἐγὼ (I am) ἐν (in) τῷ (the) Πατρὶ (Father), καὶ (and) ὁ (the) Πατὴρ (Father) ἐν (in) ἐμοί (Me) ἐστιν (is)? τὰ (The) ῥήματα (words) ἃ (that) ἐγὼ (I) λέγω (speak) ὑμῖν (to you), ἀπ’ (from) ἐμαυτοῦ (Myself) οὐ (not) λαλῶ (I speak), ὁ (-) δὲ (but) Πατὴρ (the Father) ἐν (in) ἐμοὶ (Me) μένων (dwelling) ποιεῖ (does) τὰ (the) ἔργα (works) αὐτοῦ (of Him).

²³ Ὁ (The one) ἐμὲ (Me) μισῶν (hating), καὶ (also) τὸν (the) Πατέρα (Father) μου (of Me) μισεῖ (hates). ²⁴ εἰ (If) τὰ (the) ἔργα (works) μὴ (not) ἐποίησα (I had done) ἐν (among) αὐτοῖς (them) ἃ (that) οὐδεὶς (no) ἄλλος (other) ἐποίησεν (has done), ἁμαρτίαν (sin) οὐκ (not) εἴχοσαν (they would have had); νῦν (now) δὲ (however) καὶ (both) ἑωράκασιν (they have seen) καὶ (and) μεμισήκασιν (have hated) καὶ (both) ἐμὲ (Me) καὶ (and) τὸν (the) Πατέρα (Father) μου (of Me).

²² Τίς (Who) ἐστιν (is) ὁ (the) ψεύστης (liar), εἰ (if) μὴ (not) ὁ (the one) ἀρνούμενος (denying) ὅτι (that) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) οὐκ (not) ἔστιν (is) ὁ (the) Χριστός (Christ)? οὗτός (This) ἐστιν (is) ὁ (the) ἀντίχριστος (antichrist), ὁ (the one) ἀρνούμενος (denying) τὸν (the) Πατέρα (Father) καὶ (and) τὸν (the) Υἱόν (Son).

¹⁵ Ὃς (Whoever) ἐὰν (if) ὁμολογήσῃ (shall confess) ὅτι (that) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) ἐστιν (is) ὁ (the) Υἱὸς (Son) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God), ὁ (-) Θεὸς (God) ἐν (in) αὐτῷ (him) μένει (abides), καὶ (and) αὐτὸς (he) ἐν (in) τῷ (-) Θεῷ (God).

¹ Πᾶς (Everyone) ὁ (-) πιστεύων (believing) ὅτι (that) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) ἐστιν (is) ὁ (the) Χριστὸς (Christ), ἐκ (of) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (God) γεγέννηται (has been born), καὶ (and) πᾶς (everyone) ὁ (-) ἀγαπῶν (loving) τὸν (the One) γεννήσαντα (having begotten Him), ἀγαπᾷ (loves) ‹καὶ› (also) τὸν (the one) γεγεννημένον (having been begotten) ἐξ (from) αὐτοῦ (Him).

⁹ πᾶς (Anyone) ὁ (-) προάγων (going on ahead) καὶ (and) μὴ (not) μένων (abiding) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) διδαχῇ (teaching) τοῦ (-) Χριστοῦ (of Christ), Θεὸν (God) οὐκ (not) ἔχει (has). ὁ (The one) μένων (abiding) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) διδαχῇ (teaching), οὗτος (this one) καὶ (both) τὸν (the) Πατέρα (Father) καὶ (and) τὸν (the) Υἱὸν (Son) ἔχει (has). ¹⁰ Εἴ (If) τις (anyone) ἔρχεται (comes) πρὸς (to) ὑμᾶς (you) καὶ (and) ταύτην (this) τὴν (-) διδαχὴν (teaching) οὐ (not) φέρει (does bring), μὴ (not) λαμβάνετε (receive) αὐτὸν (him) εἰς (into) οἰκίαν (the house), καὶ (and) χαίρειν (to rejoice) αὐτῷ (him) μὴ (not) λέγετε (tell); ¹¹ ὁ (the one) λέγων (telling) γὰρ (for) αὐτῷ (him) χαίρειν (to rejoice) κοινωνεῖ (partakes) τοῖς (in the) ἔργοις (works) αὐτοῦ (of him) τοῖς (-) πονηροῖς (evil).
