⁴⁰ πάντα (All things) δὲ (however) εὐσχημόνως (properly) καὶ (and) κατὰ (with) τάξιν (order) γινέσθω (let be done).

¹³ ὡς (As) ἐν (in) ἡμέρᾳ (daytime), εὐσχημόνως (properly) περιπατήσωμεν (we should walk), μὴ (not) κώμοις (in reveling) καὶ (and) μέθαις (drinking), μὴ (not) κοίταις (in sexual immorality) καὶ (and) ἀσελγείαις (sensuality), μὴ (not) ἔριδι (in dissension) καὶ (and) ζήλῳ (jealousy).

³⁴ εἴ (If) τις (anyone) πεινᾷ (is hungry), ἐν (at) οἴκῳ (home) ἐσθιέτω (let him eat), ἵνα (so that) μὴ (not) εἰς (for) κρίμα (judgment) συνέρχησθε (you might come together). Τὰ (-) δὲ (And) λοιπὰ (the other things), ὡς (as soon as) ἂν (-) ἔλθω (I might come), διατάξομαι (I will set in order).

²⁶ Τί (What) οὖν (then) ἐστιν (is it), ἀδελφοί (brothers)? ὅταν (When) συνέρχησθε (you may come together), ἕκαστος (each) ψαλμὸν (a psalm) ἔχει (has), διδαχὴν (a teaching) ἔχει (has), ἀποκάλυψιν (a revelation) ἔχει (has), γλῶσσαν (a tongue) ἔχει (has), ἑρμηνείαν (an interpretation) ἔχει (has). πάντα (All things) πρὸς (for) οἰκοδομὴν (edification) γινέσθω (let be done). ²⁷ Εἴτε (If) γλώσσῃ (with a tongue) τις (anyone) λαλεῖ (speaks), κατὰ (let it be by) δύο (two) ἢ (or) τὸ (the) πλεῖστον (most) τρεῖς (three), καὶ (and) ἀνὰ (in) μέρος (turn); καὶ (and) εἷς (one) διερμηνευέτω (let interpret). ²⁸ ἐὰν (If) δὲ (however) μὴ (not) ᾖ (there is) διερμηνευτής (an interpreter), σιγάτω (let him be silent) ἐν (in) ἐκκλησίᾳ (the church); ἑαυτῷ (to himself) δὲ (then) λαλείτω (let him speak), καὶ (and) τῷ (-) Θεῷ (to God). ²⁹ Προφῆται (Prophets) δὲ (then), δύο (two) ἢ (or) τρεῖς (three) λαλείτωσαν (let speak), καὶ (and) οἱ (the) ἄλλοι (others) διακρινέτωσαν (let discern). ³⁰ ἐὰν (If) δὲ (however) ἄλλῳ (to another) ἀποκαλυφθῇ (a revelation should be made) καθημένῳ (sitting by), ὁ (the) πρῶτος (first) σιγάτω (let be silent). ³¹ δύνασθε (You are able) γὰρ (for) καθ’ (one by) ἕνα (one) πάντες (all) προφητεύειν (to prophesy), ἵνα (so that) πάντες (all) μανθάνωσιν (may learn) καὶ (and) πάντες (all) παρακαλῶνται (may be exhorted). ³² καὶ (And) πνεύματα (spirits) προφητῶν (of prophets), προφήταις (to prophets) ὑποτάσσεται (are subject). ³³ οὐ (Not) γάρ (for) ἐστιν (He is) ἀκαταστασίας (of disorder) ὁ (the) Θεὸς (God), ἀλλὰ (but) εἰρήνης (of peace). Ὡς (As) ἐν (in) πάσαις (all) ταῖς (the) ἐκκλησίαις (churches) τῶν (of the) ἁγίων (saints),

⁵ εἰ (If) γὰρ (truly) καὶ (indeed) τῇ (in the) σαρκὶ (flesh) ἄπειμι (I am absent), ἀλλὰ (yet) τῷ (-) πνεύματι (in spirit) σὺν (with) ὑμῖν (you) εἰμι (I am), χαίρων (rejoicing) καὶ (and) βλέπων (seeing) ὑμῶν (your) τὴν (-) τάξιν (good order) καὶ (and) τὸ (the) στερέωμα (firmness) τῆς (of the) εἰς (in) Χριστὸν (Christ) πίστεως (faith) ὑμῶν (of you).
